THE Royal Family have lead commemorations to victims of the 7/7 bombings, 20 years on from the shocking terror attack.
Royals have joined senior figures and survivors of the brutal bombings at a memorial service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London today as they remember those who lost their lives.

52 people were killed, and more than 770 were injured, when four suicide bombers detonated explosives across three Tube trains and on one bus during rush hour in central London on July 7, 2005.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh – attending on behalf of the King – have been spotted at the National Service of Commemoration in the capital this morning.
Other royals, including Prince William, are expected to join the touching service, dedicated to the 52 innocent victims of what were Britain’s first suicide bombings.
The King, today, called on the nation to remember the “extraordinary courage and compassion” in the face of the attacks.
He said: “Today, as we mark 20 years since the tragic events of 7th July 2005, my heartfelt thoughts and special prayers remain with all those whose lives were forever changed on that terrible summer’s day.
“We remember with profound sadness the 52 innocent people who were killed in senseless acts of evil – and the enduring grief of their loved ones.
“We recall, too, the hundreds more who carry physical and psychological scars, and pray that their suffering may ease as the years pass.
“In doing so, we should also remember the countless stories of extraordinary courage and compassion that emerged from the darkness of that day.
“The selfless bravery of our emergency services, transport workers, and fellow citizens who rushed towards danger to help strangers reminds us of the very best of humanity in the face of the very worst.”
King Charles has also called on the country to reaffirm its commitment to “building a society of all faiths and backgrounds, standing against those who seek to divide us”.
He also stressed the importance of communities coming together in times of difficulty.
The monarch added: “While the horrors will never be forgotten, we may take comfort from the way such events rally communities together in solidarity, solace and determination.
“It is this spirit of unity that has helped London, and our nation, to heal.
“As we remember those we lost, let us therefore use this 20th anniversary to reaffirm our commitment to building a society where people of all faiths and backgrounds can live together with mutual respect and understanding, always standing firm against those who would seek to divide us.”
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer echoed Charles’ remarks, focusing on the sense of community against division.
He said: “Today, the whole country will unite to remember the lives lost in the 7/7 attacks, and all those whose lives were changed forever.
“We honour the courage shown that day- the bravery of the emergency services, the strength of survivors, and the unity of Londoners in the face of terror.
“Those who tried to divide us failed. We stood together then, and we stand together now- against hate and for the values that define us of freedom, democracy and the rule of law.”
I GOT ABUSE DUE TO MY MUSLIM FAITH
WHEN the first Tube bomber set off his device on the eastbound Circle Line train between Liverpool Street and Aldgate, Muslim passenger Mustafa Kurtuldu was sitting in the next carriage.
After the blast he had an agonising 45-minute wait for emergency services to lead him to safety – and then went on to receive abuse because of his religion.
Mustafa, now a designer, said: “My bag was searched after we were rescued from the Tube, and when I was outside it was searched again after an officer asked my name.
“I sat next to a Spanish guy while I was being transported to hospital on a bus, but I felt as though he was treated differently to me and was given more sympathy. I was only 24 years old and had the burden of being an ‘unelected official’ for the Muslim community.
“I had the anxiety of explaining that I wasn’t the ‘bad guy’.
“In the weeks following the bombings I was attacked at knifepoint, and was made to condemn the attacks as a Muslim.
“If someone is a victim of any other kind of crime, they wouldn’t be asked to condemn it.
“It’s so irrational. You are held to a higher level of accountability.
“It still happens. I was on a flight back from Canada and was pulled to the side with other Asian men.
“When the flight attendant saw I was in business class, she apologised, so I asked if terrorists don’t travel business class. It’s ridiculous.”
And 20 years on, Mustafa is still suffering.
He added: “I used to go to the memorial in Hyde Park and break down.
“I had such survivor’s guilt. It has seriously affected me.
“Over time, you learn to pretend that it doesn’t impact you. I tried to talk to others about it but people don’t understand.”
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper added: “Twenty years have passed since 7/7 but the passage of time makes what happened that day no less shocking.
“It was an appalling attack on our capital city and on democracy itself.
“As we come together to mark this anniversary, my thoughts remain with the victims, survivors and all who loved them.
“Amid the horror of that day, we saw the best of people, our emergency services, first responders and ordinary Londoners who bravely acted to help one another. Their courage continues to inspire us.
“We will always confront the threats facing this country to keep the public safe and preserve our way of life.”

OUTRAGE is sweeping across Italy after a heroic sniffer dog who saved nine lives died in agony after eating sausages stuffed with nails.
Bruno the bloodhound was discovered Sunday morning lying in a pool of blood at a training facility in Taranto, southern Italy.

Facebook/@Arcangelo CaressaThe seven-year-old bloodhound was hailed a hero in Italy, even posing alongside Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.[/caption]
The deadly bait, believed to have been tossed into his kennel overnight, caused fatal internal bleeding.
The seven-year-old dog had become a national hero after successfully tracking down nine missing people, including Alzheimer’s patients, across the Apulia region.
He was once honoured by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who yesterday led the wave of public fury and mourning.
In a powerful statement, Meloni condemned the killing as a “vile, cowardly, unacceptable act.”
“Thank you for everything you did, Bruno,” she added.
Trainer Arcangelo Caressa, who found Bruno in distress, paid an emotional tribute on Facebook.
He wrote: “This morning I died alongside you.
“You fought your whole life to save humans and now it was a human who did this to you.”
Prosecutors have opened an investigation, with police scouring CCTV footage from the facility in a bid to catch the perpetrator.
Authorities suspect the poisoning may be an act of revenge, possibly linked to Bruno’s role in helping crack down on illegal dog-fighting rings.
Mr Caressa revealed Bruno had not only rescued people but had recently assisted in operations against animal cruelty and clandestine dog fights.
“Some families wrote to me this morning to thank me again,” he added.
“Their loved ones are alive thanks to Bruno. And now he is no longer with us.”
Animal rights activists are now calling for swift justice under Italy’s newly strengthened animal cruelty laws.
Introduced on July 1, the law includes penalties of up to four years in prison and €60,000 fines for intentionally killing animals with cruelty.
Michela Vittoria Brambilla, the politician behind the legislation, called for its immediate use.
She said: “A nail-filled bait gave a horrible, long and painful death from internal bleeding to he who had saved so many lives.
“At the thought of such boundless cruelty one should be ashamed of belonging to the human race.”
Messages of grief and solidarity have poured into the National Dog Training Centre, where Bruno served.

Taranto’s mayor, Pietro Bitetti, said: “Together we must give a strong signal: we will not permit Taranto to be identified with such barbaric acts.
“Our community deserves to be seen for what it truly is: united, respectful and civil.”
Freddie, a five-year-old beagle working with US customs, was attacked at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia after alerting officers to a suspicious suitcase.
The dog had flagged the bag belonging to Hamed Ramadan Bayoumy Aly Marie, who had just arrived from Cairo and was waiting at baggage claim.
According to a federal complaint, after a brief exchange with a customs officer, Hamed lashed out and kicked Freddie “so hard that he was lifted off of the ground.”
The injured dog was rushed to a vet and treated for bruising to his right rib.
Hamed pleaded guilty to the assault the next day, was slapped with an $840 (£611) fine to cover vet bills, and was deported back to Egypt shortly afterward.

AMAZON Prime users have been issued a “red alert” scam warning – here are FIVE signs to watch out for.
The industry giant has urged shoppers to “be vigilant” as a spate of fraudulent emails sweep the UK.
GettyThe safest way to check your Amazon Prime account is through the website Amazon.co.uk directly[/caption]
Cybercriminals are sending fake messages claiming to be about Amazon Prime membership subscriptions.
But, they’re actually scams intended to access sensitive information and financial details.
An Amazon spokesperson warned customers: “We’ve recently noticed an increase in customers reporting fake emails about Amazon Prime membership subscriptions.
The online retailed added: “We want to help you stay protected by sharing important information about these scams.”
A popular scam email circulating tells shoppers the cost of their Prime subscription has increased.
Users are given the option to click on a “cancel” button, but this is how the fraudsters are able to hack into your personal information.
Amazon warned: “Do not click on any links in these messages.”
If customers are unsure, the safest way to check their Amazon Prime account is through the website Amazon.co.uk directly – or through the verified app.
Click on the Prime option from the main menu to review any renewal dates or plan prices.
Additionally, there’s a Message Centre in the Your Account section that keeps all of your Amazon notifications.
And, if you do fear you’ve been targeted by scammers, it’s wise to keep any eye on any bank transactions.
Contact your bank immediately if you notice anything suspicious.
This comes as new research conducted by McAfee shows the users most at risk and how to stay safe online as scams become increasingly difficult to spot.
According to Abhishek Karnik, the Head of Threat Research at McAfee: “As inflation and tariffs push more people to hunt for deals, scammers are using generative AI to craft scams that are more polished, personal, and persuasive.
“From retailer impersonations to hyper-realistic delivery scams, these threats are getting harder to spot.”
In light of this new growing threat, the cyber security company has shared five red flags to watch out for to help users stay safe online:
Urgent language demanding immediate action (“Your account will be closed in 24 hours!”).
Requests for payment via gift cards, wire transfers or cash.
Claims that you need to “verify” or “legalise” your money.
Transfers to “goverment agencies” during the same call.
Pressure to keep the call secret or not hang up.
McAfee also emphasised that Amazon will never call you about suspicious account activity or unauthorised purchases.
Further advice includes, using Amazon’s Message Centre, and never giving personal information, passwords, or payment details over the phone.
Mr Karnik added: “The good news is that the tools to fight back are getting smarter too.
“The best way to stay safe is to pause before you click, trust your instincts, and use AI-powered protection like McAfee’s Scam Detector to stay one step ahead.”
On how to protect your shopping experience, McAfee advised that you enable two-factor authentication on your Amazon account, use strong and unique passwords, and only shop on secure websites.
It also suggests you monitor your bank and credit card statements regularly, never click on suspicious emails, and, most importantly, trust your gut.
McAfee identified older adults as particularly at risk, while platforms like TikTok shop and Instagram Shopping are fast becoming hot spots for scam exposure.
How to protect yourself from fraud
USE the following tips to protect yourself from fraudsters.
Keep your social media accounts private – Think twice before you your share details – in particular your full date of birth, address and contacts details – all of this information can be useful to fraudsters.
Deactivate and delete old social media profiles – Keep track of your digital footprint. If a profile was created 10 years ago, there may be personal information currently available for a fraudster to use that you’re are not aware of or you have forgotten about.
Password protect your devices– Keep passwords complex by picking three random words, such as roverducklemon and add or split them with symbols, numbers and capitals.
Install anti-virus software on your laptop and personal devices and keep it up to date – This will make it harder for fraudsters to access your data in the first place.
Take care on public Wi-Fi– Fraudsters can hack or mimic them. If you’re using one, avoid accessing sensitive apps, such as mobile banking.
Think about your offline information too – Always redirect your post when you move home and make sure your letter or mailbox is secure.

MUMS are rushing online after spotting a massive ‘glitch’ on the Asda George site and they’re snapping up kids’ clothes for as little as £2.
Savvy shoppers have flooded social media to share their hauls, revealing they’ve saved a fortune on summer bits for their little ones just in time for the school holidays.
GettyParents are racing to Asda to snap up kids clothes on the cheap[/caption]
Savvy shoppers shared their savings online
One excited mum took to Facebook to post about the hidden savings, writing: “Insane bargains at Asda George!
“Had all these sleepsuits in my basket on sale at £6 each. Went to re-look at the sale and all but one had gone down to £3.
“Listed low to high and everything shows in its original sale price so must be a glitch.”
And other parents were all over it.
One claimed they were already stocking up for their newborn, she said: “Thank you, I got some bargains for my baby due in August.”
Another raved: “Saved over £50 for my son’s holiday stuff, love it!”
A third added: “Placed an order and managed to get a few bits, thanks.”
Another mum said she bagged a 5-pack of shorts for just £2, which she called “perfect for little ones on summer holiday”.
And the best part is the mega deals are available online but you’ll have to be quick, as stock is flying out.
Delivery fees vary depending on your chosen slot, with standard delivery starting from £2.95 and named day or next day options from £4.50.
The buzz comes just weeks after Asda launched its first-ever stand-alone George store in Leeds, which could be rolled out nationwide if it proves a hit.
The new store, which opened on Saturday, May 10, in the old Asda Living unit at Crown Point Retail Park, is a dream come true for George fans.
It’s packed with affordable fashion, stylish homeware, must-have toys, and adorable baby gear, plus a brand new café to keep you fuelled mid-shop.
There are currently 30 Asda Living stores in the UK, but the supermarket giant is testing the waters with this new George-only concept.
Bosses are expected to make a decision later this year on whether more will launch across the country.
The George brand, first launched in 1989 by fashion guru George Davies, changed the game as the UK’s first supermarket clothing label.
Savvy shopper Eilish Stout-Cairns recommends that shoppers grab items from Asda’s Just Essentials range.
She said: “Asda’s budget range is easy to spot as it’s bright yellow! Keep your eyes peeled for yellow and you’ll find their Just Essentials range.
“It’s great value and I’ve found it has a much wider selection of budget items compared to other supermarkets.
Sign up to Asda Rewards
The savvy-saver also presses on the importance of signing up to Asda’s reward scheme.
She said: “Asda Rewards is free to join and if you shop at Asda you should absolutely sign up.
“As an Asda Rewards member, you’ll get exclusive discounts and offers, and you’ll also be able to earn 10% cashback on Star Products.
“This will go straight into your cashpot, and once you’ve earned at least £1, you can transfer the money in your cashpot into ASDA vouchers.
We’ve previously rounded up the best supermarket loyalty schemes – including the ones that will save you the most money.
Look out for booze deals
Eilish always suggests that shoppers looking to buy booze look out for bargain deals.
She said: “Asda often has an alcohol offer on: buy six bottles and save 25%.
“The offer includes selected bottles with red, white and rose options, as well as prosecco. There are usually lots of popular bottles included, for example, Oyster Bay Hawkes Bay Merlot, Oyster Bay Hawkes Bay Merlot and Freixenet Prosecco D.O.C.
“Obviously, the more expensive the bottles you choose, the more you save.”
Join Facebook groups
The savvy saver also recommends that fans of Asda join Facebook groups to keep in the know about the latest bargains in-store.
Eilish said: “I recommend joining the Latest Deals Facebook Group to find out about the latest deals and new launches in store.
“Every day, more than 250,000 deal hunters share their latest bargain finds and new releases.
“For example, recently a member shared a picture of Asda’s new Barbie range spotted in store.
“Another member shared the bargain outdoor plants she picked up, including roses for 47p, blackcurrant bushes for 14p and topiary trees for 14p.”
