I’ve been pregnant for 17 years with no ‘breaks’ since 25 – people say I’m addicted and it’s ‘abuse’ but it gets easier

A MUM has revealed she’s been pregnant almost non-stop for 17 years.

While critics call it “abuse” and accuse her of using her kids for content, she says she’s never been happier and that it gets easier with each one.

“I’ve been pregnant for 17 years and had no ‘breaks’ since I was 25 - people say I’m addicted and it’s ‘abuse’ but the more I have the easier it gets, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=557320074922&set=pb.98100015.-2207520000&type=3 , Karissa Collins https://www.tiktok.com/@thecollinskids/video/7503317211495304491?lang=en-GB

Karissa Collins, 42, from the US, has gone viral on TikTok after sharing that she’s been pregnant 15 times since the age of 25 and has barely had a break from baby bumps in nearly two decades.

The super mum, who shares her life with 11 children on her account @TheCollinsKids, stunned fans in May when she announced yet another pregnancy, calling it “the best Mother’s Day surprise.”

Karissa and her husband, who’ve been married for 18 years, welcomed their first child back in their mid-20s and haven’t looked back since.

Karissa first became a mum at the age of 25, and has subsequently been pregnant when she was 27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 34, 35, 36, 39 and 40.

She’s also suffered three miscarriages in between.

Now, with over 700,000 followers tuning in for a glimpse into her busy, bustling household, Karissa is unapologetic about her life choices and even encourages other women to take the leap into big family life.

She said: “It’s not that scary. I promise you will figure it out. And it honestly gets easier. You don’t have to keep your hands to yourself! Have all the babies and live with no regrets.”

But while many cheer her on from the side-lines, Karissa also faces brutal backlash from trolls who claim her lifestyle is harmful, not just to her, but to her kids.

One commenter raged: “This is not okay – you barely have enough time for each child to get your attention. It’s not even funny anymore, I feel bad for the kids.”

Another slammed: “You’re hurting your kids by continuing to take attention away from them. No human can give the same amount of love to 12 different kids unless they never sleep.”

Others accused the couple of only having children for content, saying the older kids must be doing the bulk of the work around the house.

Still, Karissa isn’t fazed. For her, motherhood isn’t just a lifestyle, it’s a calling.

The mum-of-11 said she doesn’t read cruel comments on blogs or social media about her family.

She claims her page is for ” mamas that want to seek God and raise families for him.”

Karissa proudly describes herself as “Yahuah’s servant, Christ follower, wife, and home schooler.”

She regularly posts about Christian family values and encourages others to trust God with their family planning.

Despite the hate, many followers are quick to defend her and her kids.

One fan wrote: “Why do people online think they are entitled to judge someone’s family? These kids look well cared for and happy. If they want a big family and can afford it – that’s their choice.”

Another said: “Those kids are clean and smiling! She’s living her best life. Her husband clearly loves her and provides – there is no problem here.”

And Karissa seems to agree.

In her eyes, every new child is a blessing and the more she has, the more confident she becomes.

“Have all the babies,” she tells her followers. “Live with no regrets.”

She previously hit back at people who say her kids must have come from four different dads.

Karissa insists she’s never even kissed anyone other than Mandrae, who she married in 2007.

The mum said: “Nope just one dad here! “Yes they’re all ours. All 12 of them!

As well as not dating anyone else, Karissa said she’s never smoked, drank alcohol, sworn, drank coffee, or had a C-section with her babies.

10 drought-tolerant plants you can get from B&Q for as little as £2.99 – they survive extreme heat & look pretty too

IT looks like the hot weather is going nowhere.

And while we might be loving it, our gardens aren’t as big of a fan.

Especially as our plants and grass aren’t just tackling the heat, they’re also struggling with a lack of rainfall, and hosepipe bans are put in place.

Fortunately, there are plenty of plants that can withstand the harsh conditions.

And you can get them for as little as £2.99 so you won’t have to spend a fortune replacing any dead ones.

B&Q’s Outdoor Expert, Mark Sage says: “When the temperature rises, choose plants that not only survive in the heat, but thrive in it – think ‘right plant, right place’.

“Mediterranean favourites like lavender, catmint, and Echinacea are great to include in your garden, along with rosemary, which is always a welcome addition to the kitchen too. These plants are perfect for sunny spots, having evolved with adaptions such as deep roots, hairy foliage, water conserving oils in their leaves, or succulent textures that conserve moisture.

“In the first year, the plants will need regular, deep watering to help them establish themselves in the garden, but once settled they flourish on minimal watering. To boost resilience, try adding organic mulch or homemade compost before hot spells to retain soil moisture and suppress any weeds.

“With the right soil, sun, and a layer of mulch, these plants will bring vibrant, low-maintenance beauty to your garden all summer long.”

“A strong shear gradient within 800J/kg of CAPE will allow for the development of a cluster of thunderstorms between 12.30 and 6pm, with a risk of some locally severe weather in the aforementioned areas.”

He added: “The areas most at risk of seeing these storms include much of Mayo, Roscommon, North Galway, Leitrim, Sligo, West Offaly, Longford, Westmeath.”

“Some heavy and thundery downpours are expected particularly in Connacht.

“It’ll be very warm or hot with highest temperatures of 23C to 29C, possibly 30C, in the west.

“East and southeast winds will be mainly light to moderate but will turn fresh and gusty near showers.”

Tonight will see heavy rainfall and moderate winds.

Linda said: “Tonight spells of showery rain will move northwards across the country turning heavy and possibly thundery at times.

“Lowest temperatures of 12C to 17C with slight to moderate variable winds.”

BIG SWITCH

There will be a major switch in our weather tomorrow as temperatures range between 14C to 21C.

The meteorologist said: “Bands of rain will continue moving northwards tomorrow morning and will be followed from the southwest by sunny spells and scattered showers.

“Clouds will increase again later and the showers will turn more prolonged especially in the southwest and west.

“Some heavy and thundery downpours are possible. Highest temperatures of 14C to 21C.

“Coolest in the west and southwest with light to moderate southerly winds increasing fresh and gusty at times.”

RAIN PAIN

Tuesday will see a mix of sun, rain and cloud with temperatures falling further between 15C to 19C.

Linda said: “Tuesday morning will be mostly cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain.

“Sunny spells and scattered showers for the afternoon but they’ll clear for most places for the evening.

“Highest temperatures of 15C to 19C with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds.”

Sporting chief warns Arsenal target Victor Gyokeres he faces huge backlash for strike action – then hints he could STAY

SPORTING CLUB president Frederico Varandas has told Viktor Gyokeres he will be fined and made to apologise to his teammates after the striker failed to report to pre-season training.

Gyokeres, 27, went AWOL as he tries to force through a move to Arsenal amid an ongoing battle with current club Sporting over his valuation.

Viktor Gyokeres has gone on strike to try and force through a move to Arsenal[/caption]

Arsenal have already agreed a five-year deal with Gyokeres, but are locked in negotiations with Sporting over a fee to sanction the move.

Gyokeres has made it clear he doesn’t intend to return to training or play for Sporting again after feeling betrayed by the club going back on a gentleman’s agreement to allow him to leave £52m plus £8.6m in add-ons.

Arsenal are said to have already surpassed this fee in negotiations, but Sporting are now holding out for a higher sum.

President Varandas has insisted that the club remains “calm” about Gyokeres’ future and are willing to sit out the window and keep the Swede at the club if their valuation isn’t met.

He told Portuguese outlet Lusa: “We’re calm. Everything will be resolved with the closing of the market, a heavy fine, and an apology to the group.

“f they [interested clubs] don’t want to pay fair market value for Viktor, we are very comfortable with that for the next three years [the length of his contract].”

Varandas went on to claim that Gyokeres’ strike action isn’t putting the club under any pressure to sell.

He added: “If the geniuses who are devising this strategy think that this puts pressure on me to facilitate the exit, they are not only completely wrong but are also making the player’s exit even more complicated.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

“No one is above the club’s interests, whoever they may be.”

Arsenal are thought to still be in advanced talks with Sporting over the transfer but, for now, remain £4.3m away from the Portuguese champions’ valuation of their star striker.

The Gunners have been chasing a new front-man all summer and appear to have landed on Gyokeres as their priority.

The Swedish international has claimed this week that he is amongst the best strikers in world football, comparing himself the the likes of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

Speaking to L’Equipe, he said: “I’m definitely one of them.

“I am at the same table as them now. What I have managed to do at Sporting, I am convinced I can achieve anywhere.

“You haven’t seen the best of me yet.”

Gyokeres scored 54 goals and registered 13 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions last season.

Those figures mean the talismanic bagsman scored more goals than any other player across Europe’s top 10 leagues last term.

Despite going on strike, Gyokeres has remained coy on his future publicly.

When asked about a summer move, he said: “Maybe. That’s football, you never know. I don’t think about it, we’ll see what happens.

TRANSFER NEWS LIVE – KEEP UP WITH ALL THE LATEST FROM A BUSY SUMMER WINDOW

“The most important thing for me is to just play for a club that really wants me.”

Gyokeres – who has had interest from a host of clubs, including Manchester United – is determined to seal a move to Arsenal.

And the striker is hoping he can prove that he is good enough to make it in the Premier League after failing to make a Prem appearance during a two year stint on the books at Brighton.

He said: “It’s one of the biggest leagues in Europe.

“I spent several years there without being able to play a single match.

“So, of course, it’s something I’d like to do. It would be great revenge.”

Viktor Gyokeres's 2024-25 Sporting CP season statistics: 52 games, 54 goals, 13 assists, 4248 minutes played, 6 yellow cards, 0 red cards, and 2 trophies. Erling Haaland's 2024-25 Manchester City season statistics: 48 games, 34 goals, 5 assists, 4041 minutes played, 2 yellow cards, 0 red cards, 0 trophies. Harry Kane's 2024-25 FC Bayern Munich season stats: 41 games, 41 goals, 14 assists, 3958 minutes played, 7 yellow cards, 0 red cards, 1 trophy.

Heartbroken family pay tribute to ‘handsome, funny & talented boy’, 16, found dead in lake after going missing in water

THE family of a teenager who died after going missing in a lake have paid an emotional tribute to their “handsome, funny and talented boy”.

Daniel Drewitt, 16, tragically lost his life after going missing in Powell’s Pool in Sutton Park, Birmingham, on Thursday.

His body was recovered by emergency crews that evening, following an extensive search.

Last night, his family released a touching tribute to the teenager who had a “beautiful spirit”.

They said: “Daniel was a handsome, funny and talented boy who really cared about his friends and family.

“Everyone wanted to be his friend and he was popular because of the beautiful spirit he had.

“Daniel was a big Birmingham City Football Club fan and would love going to the games with his grandad and friends.

“He had so many dreams and aspirations, and he had his whole life ahead of him. He has been taken from us way too soon and we still can’t process what is happening right now.

“His family and friends are all devastated from this awful tragedy, and this will forever leave an everlasting pain in all of our hearts. We cannot put into words how much we will miss him and his cheeky smile.

“We want to thank the community for all of the kind messages, love and support. It has given us all comfort knowing just how loved he was by so many people and shows they all saw what we saw in him.

“Sweet dreams our beautiful boy. We know we will still see you every night. You will be the brightest star in the sky.”

Five Apple gadgets declared ‘obsolete’ including popular iPad model now on ‘kill list’ & there’s a costly consequence

APPLE has declared several more of its gadgets “vintage” and “obsolete”, including a popular iPad model, macs and accessories.

The updated status of these electronics could make them more costly for people to keep using.

Crowded Apple store in London.
Getty
This is because they may be more difficult to repair at Apple stores[/caption]

Apple considers a product “vintage” five years after it was last distributed for sale, which then becomes “obsolete” two years later.

One addition that finally made it to the vintage list is the 2013 “Trash Can” Mac Pro, 12 years after being sold.

This was because the computer was on the market for so long, that it did not discontinue selling until December 2019.

Apple was unable to introduce a new Mac Pro to replace the cyclindrical version due to design limitations, the company admitted in 2017.

It was much smaller than the previous generation of Mac Pro, and there was not space to upgrade internal components like GPUs.

Apple’s hardware chief at the time, Craig Federighi, admitted: “I think we designed ourselves into a bit of a thermal corner.”

Along with the 2013 Mac Pro, several other Apple devices were added to the vintage products list.

These include:

  • 2019 13-inch MacBook Air
  • 2019 iMac
  • 2018 11-inch iPad Pro
  • 2018 third-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • iPhone 8 128GB

The 128GB version of the iPhone 8 was sold for longer than its 64GB and 256GB counterparts, however has now joined them on the vintage list.

A number of devices were also transitioned from Apple’s vintage list to “obsolete”.

These include:

  • Second-generation AirPort Express
  • 2TB and 3TB AirPort Time Capsules
  • 802.11ac AirPort Extreme

Apple retail stores and Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs) still offer repairs for vintage products if the required parts are availablle.

If these parts are not available, repairs are unlikely to be possible.

Products that are obsolete are not repaired by Apple stores or AASPs.

Apple also no longer provided parts for them.

However, some Mac laptops may be eligible for a battery-only repair for a period of up to 10 years from when the product was last distributed for sale.

This is subject to the availability of parts.

Around 12,000 tonnes of hay bales and standing corn were ablaze.

There were about 10 fire engines and multiple rural firefighting vehicles tackling the flames.

Three engines remain on scene, where they’re creating fire breaks to extinguish the blaze.

The brigade said crews will be on scene for the next few days to fully extinguish the fire and determine a cause.

RAF Wigsley was built between 1941-1942 as a satellite base for the Royal Air Force.

It was operational from February 1942 and closed in July 1958.

There are still buildings from the war on the site today.

‘Joe Schmidt would have evolved’ – Johnny Sexton warns Australia ‘will be very different’ in opening Test against Lions

LIONS legend Johnny Sexton warned his old boss Joe Schmidt may have an ace up his sleeve for Saturday’s first Test.

Andy Farrell’s kicking coach won two Champions Cups and three Six Nations titles in nine years under Australia chief Schmidt playing for Ireland and Leinster.

The Wallabies struggled to beat Fiji 21-18 last weekend but Sexton reckons the Kiwi — who also helped New Zealand reach the 2023 World Cup final — could play a joker in Brisbane.

He said: “We know how good he is at preparing teams. But he’s been gone six years so you’d like to think that Joe would have evolved, changed his ways and learned from that time with the All Blacks.

“Some of the things he is big on haven’t changed, you can clearly see that.

“But we’ve only seen them for one game and we know, for sure, that Joe likes to set things up and what he showed against Fiji will be very different from what he shows against the Lions.”

Sexton, who won Down Under with the 2013 Lions, has been working with Farrell’s kickers, including the likely Test fly-half Finn Russell, while being a sounding board for any players who need advice.

He added: “Finn’s played very well. He’s controlled things, been composed and place-kicked very well.

“It is about helping these guys out; whether it is the No 10s, the kickers . . . or if Maro Itoje needs certain things.

“He hasn’t asked me about dealing with the refs yet! I’m still waiting, and I might be waiting a long time. Maybe he’ll ask on the plane, on the way home!”

UK holiday homes with private swimming pools that feel more like the Med

YOU won’t believe these holiday homes are in the UK.

With pools, white-washed walls and bright decor, these stays look like they are in the Mediterranean rather than the British countryside.

A Romantic Folly, Devon

This tiny home in Dittisham looks over the rolling hills in Devon – and it has a heated pool too.

The sweet Folly is bright and airy and filled with nautical hints throughout.

It even has its own boat loveseat outside that looks over a stream.

The bedroom has wooden slatted walls and ceilings.

Off the bedroom are white shutters that open up to a huge bathroom with a rounded bath – perfect for a good soak after a relaxing day.

As for activities, outside there’s a tennis court and of course a swimming pool.

The pool is heated and has a mural on the wall that looks like it depicts ancient Greece – and it’s open from 7am to 7pm.

One happy visitor wrote on Tripadvisor: “The swimming pool was crystal clear and warm, scented with jasmine flowers all around. Lovely walks through the lanes too.”

Another added: “We used the pool every day and it was wonderful to swim about under such lush foliage. The sauna was excellent too.”

The exterior looks like it could be somewhere else too with greens, pinks and blues – there’s no way you’ll miss it.

This beautiful self-contained holiday apartment is in Wells, Bristol and reminds us of a Grecian stay.

The interior is whitewashed, which is a typical Mediterranean look along with hues of yellow, orange and blue.

There are wooden beams stretching across the ceiling, and the living area has squishy sofas and a log burner for when the weather isn’t quite so hot.

There’s an indoor pool too which feels more like outside with its wooden slatted and glass ceilings.

While the pool isn’t completely private, the Airbnb owner will give visitors exclusive access upon request.

Cosy Cottage, Lymington

This tiny, and very pretty, cottage has a private heated swimming pool during summer months.

Described as a ‘secret hideaway’, the Bothy has room for four guests with an open plan living room.

The building doesn’t look over ‘Med’ like, but it’s the outside area that really feels like it could be abroad.

There’s a private garden and you even get exclusive use of the heated swimming pool which is open from May to September.

Outside, the pool even has a wooden veranda with climbing grape vines.

This home is in the top 10 per cent of eligible listings based on ratings, reviews and reliability and has a review average of 4.95.

The Blue House on the Beach, Camber

So The Blue House on the Beach in Camber technically doesn’t have a pool but as the house name describes, it’s literally on the sands.

The house is modern, in a triangle shape with glass windows and balconies and has incredible beach views.

And as a result, the inside is so bright and the colour of the orange wood panels on the ceiling give it a sunny, Mediterranean feel.

In the living room is huge sliding glass doors that lead out onto a private wooden deck looking over Camber Sands.

Inside there are also rattan touches throughout like lamp shades and scandi-style cushions.

The property is air-conditioned too so once it reaches Med temperature, visitors can still stay cool.

It can take up to eight guests across four spacious bedrooms.
