Fashion fans say it’s the perfect Nobody’s Child dupe

From cute dresses to on-trend work attire, the supermarket fast-fashion range always hits the mark, and its new summer collection is no exception.

This week, it’s a £26 Floral Printed Gingham Tea Dress that’s caught the eye of savvy fashionistas.

The supermarket’s patterned summer frock is available in sizes six to 24 and has a tie waist to cinch you in.

Sainsbury’s bosses say: “An elegant yet versatile piece for your summer rotation, this tea dress has been designed in a blue gingham patteren with a floral print.

“Cut to a midaxi length, it features flattering puff sleeves and v-neckline.”

As well as loving the pretty silhouette, savvy shoppers have also noticed that the dress is the perfect Nobody’s Child dupe.

The only difference? A cool £63.

The Nobody’s Child Floral Joanna Midi Dress is priced at £89 while Tu Clothing’s dupe will only set you back £26.

So if you’re on a tight budget then you may want to head down to your nearest Sainsbury’s.

Personal stylist Francesca spotted the dress dupe in her local store this week.

Taking to TikTok, she said: “That’s a very pretty summer dress I love that.

“Got a nice little tie belt as well just to bring you in. Really pretty. It feels very Nobody’s Child.”

Another delighted shopper gushed: “Absolutely gorgeous dress fits beautifully.”

A third echoed: “Love love love this dress. Fits well and fabulous material. Can’t wait to take it on holiday.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Nice lightweight pretty summer dress.”

More Tu dresses

And it’s not the only Sainsbury’s Tu dress that shoppers can’t get enough of.

The White Structured Midaxi Summer Dress is perfect for dressing up for girly brunches and it’s £260 cheaper than a similar designer gown.

The structured bodice and flared hem give the £30 dress a flattering shape, and the dress is made of lightweight cotton, perfect for keeping cool in the heat.

Sainsbury’s said: “This white dress is an elegant choice for summer outings. Designed with a structured bodice and a flared hem for a flattering shape.

“Cut to a midaxi length, it has been made from a lightweight, cotton-rich fabric, perfect for warmer days.”

And the dress, the Sainsbury’s dress looks strikingly similar to the Everett Linen Dress, which is priced at £298.

Fashion fans are also raving about the White Cutwork Midaxi Strappy Dress which is priced at £32.

The dress comes in a wide range of sizes, from 6 to 20, meaning that it will feel comfortable on all body types.

Plus it also comes in a stunning buttermilk yellow, perfect for summer days at the beach.

Is supermarket fashion the new high street?

DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:

The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family. Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.Asda’s clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year.So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful?Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it’s good quality too – with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative.A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year. Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.

Three men working for Wagner terrorist group convicted of arson attack on London warehouse linked to Ukraine

THREE MEN working for the Wagner Russian terrorist group were yesterday convicted of an arson attack on a warehouse linked to Ukraine.

The trio caused £1 million worth of damage to an industrial unit in Leyton, East London, destroying £100,000 worth of satellite communication equipment destined for Ukraine on March 20 last year.

An Old Bailey jury yesterday convicted gang members Nii Mensah, 23, Jakeem Rose, 23, and Ugnius Asmena, 20, of aggravated arson with intent to endanger life.

Mensah, of Thornton Heath, South London, livestreamed the warehouse blaze to Earl after he and Rose, from Croydon, set fire to the building as Asmena waited in a car.

The case is the first to result in convictions of British criminals acting as proxies for the proscribed Wagner Group.

Drug dealer Dylan Earl, 20, and Gatwick Airport cleaner Jake Reeves, 23, orchestrated the plot on behalf of the Russian Wagner group of mercenaries.

They planned further arson attacks on a restaurant and wine shop in Mayfair and the kidnap of the owner, wealthy Russian dissident Evgeny Chichvarkin.

They are the first defendants to be convicted of offences under the National Security Act 2023, designed to thwart attacks in the UK by hostile foreign states.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb adjourned sentencing until a date to be fixed in the autumn.

Monster Alexander Pacteau faces new trial after jail claims more than 10 years on from brutal murder of Karen Buckley

MURDER fiend Alexander Pacteau is to stand trial accused of having a secret phone in his jail cell.

The monster, 31, was collared a decade into his minimum 23- year sentence for killing student nurse Karen Buckley in Glasgow then trying to dissolve her body in a barrel of chemicals.

Prison sources have told how he attracted the suspicion of guards after bragging about his alleged mobile to fellow inmates.

It is claimed the handset was then discovered by staff in the lifer’s cell at Saughton nick in Edinburgh.

An insider said: “Pacteau had a phone and was telling other lags that he had one.

“He is very quiet and doesn’t speak to many folk inside. He thinks he is better than everyone else.

“He thinks he is something special. But word seems to have got out then the screws got onto him and found the mobile.”

We told in 2019 how prison chiefs moved the brute to Saughton after he had allegedly caused chaos at HMP Kilmarnock in a row over staff checking mail for drugs.

Two years earlier, he had moaned to warders that other lags were urinating in his soup.

Pacteau was 21 in April 2015 when he met Karen, 24, outside the former Sanctuary nightclub in Glasgow’s west end.

The Irish student was on a night out with friends when the ex- private schoolboy persuaded her to go to his car.

Pacteau was seen on CCTV talking to her before they drove to nearby Kelvin Way, outside Kelvingrove Park.

The motor was parked up for 12 minutes, during which time the brute had strangled her and beat her 12 or 13 times with a spanner.

The sicko dumped her phone and bag in the city’s Dawsholm Park then carried Karen’s body into his flat in nearby Kelvindale.

He then tried to dissolve her remains in a bath of caustic soda.

Later, he put the body in a vat filled with chemicals and left it in a storage unit at a farm in Milngavie, five miles away.

He then paid to have his car professionally cleaned in a further bid to destroy evidence.

But some soil remained on the tyres, with tests proving it had been at Dawsholm Park.

Pacteau was arrested after Karen’s corpse was found four days later.

Detectives revealed he had seemed to “enjoy” being grilled by them over the chilling crime.

The remorseless fiend eventually pled guilty to murdering Karen, who had been studying occupational therapy at the city’s Caledonian Uni.

Caging him at the High Court in Glasgow, judge Lady Rae said: “To you, she was a complete stranger who appears, tragically, to have accepted a lift in your car.

“In a matter of minutes, for some unknown and inexplicable reason, you destroyed her young life.”

We told how Karen’s dad John Buckley, then 62, from Mourneabbey, County Cork, called Pacteau a “truly evil coward”.

The phone case against Pacteau called today at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

He is expected to go on trial later this month.

Chelsea ratings: Joao Pedro pays back his transfer fee with two spectacular goals but Robert Sanchez is a liability

CHELSEA blew away Fluminense to book their place in the Club World Cup final, thanks to two spectacular strikes from £60m new striker Joao Pedro.

The 23-year-old Brazilian scored in both halves to more than repay Chelsea’s faith in him – and almost repay his transfer fee.

Chelsea have earned just over £61m in prize money by reaching Sunday’s final in New Jersey with the potential of another £10m if they win it.

Enzo Maresca’s side now have the chance of making history against either PSG or Real Madrid.

Here’s how SunSport’s Mark Fleming rated Chelsea’s match winners.

Robert Sanchez – 3

Made a howler when he was rooted to his line after 26 minutes but Marc Cucurella bailed him out with a goal-line clearance.

His distribution was also flaky, too often missing the target.

Made a save from Eve but even that wasn’t convincing. And he even managed to pick up a yellow card for time wasting.

Sanchez is a liability and it seems incredible that Chelsea are continuing with him as their No1 keeper.

Malo Gusto – 6

Played more as a right winger in the New Jersey heat but didn’t wilt.

BEST ONLINE CASINOS – TOP SITES IN THE UK

As the match progressed, built up a much better understanding with Nkunku.

Still has yet to score for Chelsea, and didn’t look like ending that with a speculative shot from distance that sailed harmlessly wide.

Marc Cucurella was on his toes to clear the ball off the line[/caption]

Marc Cucurella – 8

Showed terrific anticipation to clear Hercules’ shot off the line in the 26th min.

Defensively solid as ever, and went close with a shot from distance after 53 mins that flew inches past the far post.

Trevor Chalobah – 5

Lucky not to concede a penalty on 36 mins when VAR correctly overturned the decision to give a spot kick for handball.

Looked uncomfortable in possession and often just played the simple short pass.

Tosin Adarabioyo – 5

Solid at the back, and also gave nothing away in a bizarre interview during the halftime break.

His distribution is limited, and only served to demonstrate how much they missed the suspended Levi Colwill, whose passing is on a different level.

Enzo Fernandez – 6

Growing into his more advanced role but still did a thorough defensive shift.

His runs into the box are becoming a key feature of this developing Chelsea team.

Wonderful pass with the outside of his foot to set up Joao Pedro’s second goal.

Moises Caicedo – 7

Back in the team after missing the Palmeiras through suspension, and at the heart of the midfield as Blues fans have come to expect.

Enjoyed a physical battle with Nonato throughout.

Fizzed a long distance shot over the bar early in the second half.

Pedro Neto – 8

In the form of his life right now.

Was Chelsea’s most attacking outlet in the first half, tormenting the Fluminense right back Guga.

Unlucky to see his shot blocked by Thiago Silva just before the interval.

He started to fade a little in the second half, and was replaced by Madueke.

Cole Palmer was subdued against Fluminense[/caption]

Cole Palmer – 6

Very quiet first 45 from Chelsea’s talisman who struggled to get on the ball.

Much better second half, that included one twisting, turning run that had the fans on their feet.

Also a wonderful cross field pass for Nkunku.

Could have completed the game with a simple tap-in had Nicolas Jackson had the vision to pass to him when he was completely unmarked instead of firing into the side netting.

Christopher Nkunku – 5

Seems happier in a more central role, with Gusto on the right wing but lacked any cutting edge.

Should really have scored with a header late in the first half just six yards out.

And had two good chances to score in the second as well that he spurned.

His days as a Chelsea player look to be numbered.

Joao Pedro – 9

What a game! Made his first start since his £60m move from Brighton and scored a brilliant goal from outside the box in the 18th min.

And then the Brazil star pulled off an even better finish in the 55th min with a sensational strike off the underside of the bar to double the lead.

However he didn’t celebrate as Fluminense is one of his former clubs.

Two wonder goals, and plenty of hard work before he was denied the chance to clinch a hat-trick as he was replaced by Nicolas Jackson on the hour

Subs

Nicolas Jackson (sub for Joao Pedro, 60mins)

Given half an hour but failed to click and now looks destined to be Joao Pedro’s understudy.

Selfishly shot into the side netting when he should have squared the ball to Palmer in the last 10 minutes.

Noni Maduke (sub for Neto, 67 mins)

The right winger might be dreaming of a move to Arsenal but he still has a job to do for Chelsea.

Plenty of energy as Chelsea closed out the game.

Reece James (sub for Gusto, 67 mins)

Brought composure and a calm head as Maresca’s men saw out the final 20 minutes.

Andrey Santos (sub for Fernandez, 86 mins)

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (sub for Nkunku, 86 mins)

Love Island fans say Casa Amor hunk sounds ‘desperate’ as they uncover gameplan

LOVE Island fans have said that a Casa Amor hunk sounds ‘desperate’ as he tries to win the heart of an OG villa girl.

American bombshell Toni has been romantically linked to Harrison since he arrived in the villa, but with a rocky romance so far – Casa Amor might have come at the right time.

With Harrison flirting with the Casa girls in a different villa, Toni got to work flirting with the new guys who arrived in the main villa.

On Monday night, Toni flirted with Boris, with viewers convinced they might couple up and win the whole show.

But tonight saw a very different story play out.

Chatting and flirting with hunky Casa boy Cach, Toni got her head turned.

Flirting with one another and getting friendly, the pair even shared a smooch.

But fans were not convinced.

Some thought that Cach was disingenuous and called his “desperate” behaviour out on social media.

“This dude with Toni sounds a bit desperate,” said one person on X.

“It’s giving ick but at least he’s focusing on Toni,” they added, alluding to him being desperate and wanting to get picked to stay in the villa after Casa.

Other viewers weren’t sold either.

“I actually don’t like Toni and Cach together.. can’t put my finger on it but nahhhhhhhh,” said one suspicious fan.

“I feel like cash is just saying anything,” added a second.

“I’m not sold on toni & cach, but anyways, go off,” penned a third.

But other viewers were seemingly keen for the pair to couple up and get together.

Love Island 2025 - Casa Amor girls

WHO are the latest bombshells heading into the spin-off villa?

The Sun exclusively reported the identities of the six beauties heading into the ITV2 spin-off villa, after it was teased during last week’s episode.

The Love Island newbies were seen strolling into the compound clad in swimwear – with one already having a connection to Harry.

On the show’s official Instagram page it teased: “Amor the merrier… who’s ready for Casa Amor?” and now we can report the full line-up.

  • Lauren Wood, 26,
  • Emma Munro, 30
  • Lucy Quinn, 21
  • Yasmin Broom, 26
  • Andrada Pop, 27
  • Rheo Parnell, 26

“TONI YOU BETTER RECOUPLE WITH CACH RN,” said one.

“Toni has upgradeddddd. That is my girllll,” penned a second.

A third wrote: “I didn’t like Cach yesterday but he’s so much more likeable around Toni. And Toni’s no longer miserable, so that’s a plus…”

While a fourth said: “toni getting to know someone else rather than trusting h*rrison in casa, god smiled on me today.”

And a fifth added: “TONI IS EMOTIONALLY FREE FROM HARRISON.”

Just 24 hours ago, Love Island fans were keen for Toni to couple up with a DIFFERENT Casa boy.

Slovenian hunk Boris got close to Toni on Monday night when they complimented each other and got a little flirty.

Viewers loved the chemistry, with one writing on X: “Toni and Boris are my winners.”

A second said: “Ok I’m ready to declare Toni and Boris the winners.”

A third posted: “I hope Toni picks Boris, they look great together.”

Another wrote: “I genuinely need Toni to bring back Boris so I can’t see Harrison get humbled expeditiously.”

Fluminense 0 Chelsea 2: Joao Pedro fires Blues into Club World Cup final with sensational first two goals for club

JOAO PEDRO made it look easy – but the hard part now begins for Chelsea as they prepare for the Club World Cup final.

A blistering double from new striker Pedro in obscene temperatures was enough to put the fourth best Premier League side in sight of the trophy and a £97million windfall.

He refused to celebrate against his former side[/caption]

However, things are going to get really sticky now in sweltering New Jersey because to get their hands on the jackpot they must overcome either European champions Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid.

While Chelsea have done well to get so far in this glorified summer kickabout, the draw has been kind to them.

They have swerved the biggest teams in Europe, PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter Milan.

Instead it’s been Club Tunis, Benfica, Palmeiras and then a Fluminense side with a 40-year-old centre half and a keeper who is 44.

No wonder the old boy couldn’t quite stretch his creaking bones to meet the wickedly curling shot and the cannonball pile driver from Stamford Bridge’s new hero which settled the score.

Not that we should take anything away from Pedro who lived up to his billing on his first start for Chelsea in an hour long display that suggests he is hitting the ground running.

But facing the newly crowned winners of the Champions League or the royalty of world football from Spain will be a bit different to seeing off a team from Brazil who only just avoided relegation last season.

There have been wobbles all the way despite Chelsea being favourites in their games throughout.

And this was no exception. A lucky escape on a penalty shout and a shot cleared off the line before Pedro’s second goal sealed victory.

But Chelsea are there and now stand to pick up a handy £81.9m for getting to the final even if that ends in ultimate defeat.

Not a bad little earner even if the players are knackered and will get only a couple of weeks off before they must start preparing for the looming Premier League season again.

The money Chelsea have spent bringing in £60m Pedro, £30m Liam Delap and £48.5m Jamie Gittens is already close to being repaid.

Boss Enzo Maresca has taken this competition seriously like he does most things in life.

For players like Cole Palmer, born and raised in wet and soggy Manchester, the summer heat must be a serious chore, bordering on unhealthy.

He was one of only three English players in the starting XI for a game kicking off in mid-afternoon where it was touching 38 degrees in the sun.

It’ll be much the same this time next year when the real World Cup Final is staged here.

Even so, the Premier League side took control of the game early on, obviously looking to get the game wrapped up before grown men started melting.

An attack down the left orchestrated by Pedro Neto had Fluminense on the back foot.

The Portuguese winger has hit the heights consistently this tournament – more so than any other Chelsea player with goals and assists.

His ball into the box was poor though and easily met by defender Thiago Santos. But instead of clearing the danger the pass out of the area was low and straight to Chelsea’s dangerous new attacker.

The way Pedro picked his spot with a devilishly curling right foot shot underlined how at home he feels just a week after signing.

The muted celebration symbolised what Fluminense means to Pedro, who started his career there.

But yet again with the game in the palms of their hands, Chelsea went all soft.

Just three minutes after taking the lead, defender Marc Cucurella was called upon to hook a shot from Hercules off the line.

And with nine minutes of the first half remaining their luck held again with a penalty call.

French ref Francois Letexier pointed to the spot when Trevoh Chalobah handled a glancing header from Santos – the centre back involved in the first goal.

VAR has been very much in the background for Chelsea this tournament and the first intervention by the spy in the sky saved their skins.

The ref reviewed his decision on the pitchside monitor and U-turned after replays showed Chalobah keeping his left hand in a natural position close to his side as the ball cannoned off him.

And from a scruffy breakout from defence Pedro sealed it for Chelsea when he was put clear through on the left by Enzo Fernandez.

The Brazilian cut inside and buried a stunning rising shot in off the underside of the bar on 56 minutes before being taken off on the hour mark.
