With her locks flowing free, Rita looked every inch the glam goddess while going about her day in the Big Apple.

She was spotted wearing three different looks throughout the day.

In the first outfit of the day she wore a stunning navy jacket with embroidered silver lapels and a matching mini skirt, which showed off her incredible pins.

Next she was spotted looking happy and relaxed as she left the Live with Kelly & Mark show.

For her interview with the daytime show she opted for a pair of tight jeans and an oversized t-shirt that was draped over her body.

Later Rita oozed confidence in her third outfit, which really turned heads.

Saving the best until last she wore a tiny bra top, which showed of her famously toned abs.

Rita finished off the look with a pair of blue baggy trousers.

NEW MUSIC

Rita has recently returned to the music scene with her new hit single, Heat.

The raunchy song revolves around having sex, and has gone down well with fans.

Talking about her new summer banger, the singer told The Sun: “I wanted to really celebrate my sexuality and the way I am as a woman.

“My last album was so different, it was about my love life and getting married.

“But with this next lot of music I wanted it to be so carefree and back to how I was coming up in the industry.

“I wanted to celebrate everything I have become. It’s not super deep, just fun.”

After five years, a UK tour also looks to be just around the corner.

Rita said: “My favourite thing is performing live. The fact I can still say I get to do it is a blessing. I am really lucky.

“I’m supporting Ricky Martin on tour and hopefully next year my own tour. There is a lot happening.

“I’m hitting the ground running. My time off is usually around Christmas.”

‘Tremendous story’ – Message in bottle lost at sea for 13 years discovered in Co Kerry after making journey from Canada

A HANDWRITTEN message in a bottle containing a “tremendous love story” was today discovered on the coast of Ireland.

The glass bottle had been travelling the Atlantic Ocean for 13 years before it was found on the shores of Co Kerry.

Handwritten note asking to be contacted if found.
facebook
The message contained a number and a request to call it[/caption]

The bottle had been at sea for 13 years[/caption]

It was discovered during a beach clean up at Scraggane Bay, in the Magharees, but it originated in Canada.

The wine bottle was from a couple who had stuffed a message inside during a date on Bell Island.

The island is a popular beauty spot in the eastern region of Labrador and Newfoundland.

And the note was dated from 2012, meaning it had been at sea for well over a decade.

It would have travelled over 3,000 kilometres to reach the shores of Kerry.

At the time of setting off, Democrat Barack Obama was the President of the United States.

In the time the bottle was at sea, Obama was replaced by Donald Trump, who was preceded by Joe Biden, who was replaced by Trump once again earlier this year.

And during the 13 years, the world saw a global Covid-19 pandemic, the breakout of a war between Russia and Ukraine, and multiple conflicts in the Middle East.

Meanwhile in Canada, Prime Minister Stephen Harper was replaced by Justin Trudeau, who was subsequently replaced by Mark Carney in 2025.

The hand written message on the letter inside the bottle reads: “Anita and Brad’s day trip to Bell Island. Today, we enjoyed dinner, this bottle of wine and each other, at the edge of the island.”

‘PLEASE CALL US’

It adds, “if found please call us on” followed by a phone number.

Kate and John Gay, a Co Kerry couple, found the bottle during a beach clean up yesterday.

They opened it at a meeting held yesterday evening alongside Creative Ireland Project Maharees Heritage and Conservation group members.

The group followed the instructions on the letter and rang the number provided.

‘TREMENDOUS STORY’

It had been 4,680 days since the message had been sent.

And Kate said those who made the phone call were praying for a happy ending to Brad and Anita’s love story.

Although the phone rang multiple times, there was no answer, at which point the group sent out a Facebook post encouraging anyone who knew Brad or Anita to get in touch.

However, late last night, Anita got in touch after hearing about the story from her connections in Co Mayo.

And she confirmed that she and Brad got married in 2016 and are still together.

The couple are now living happily in Newfoundland, with the Maharees Conservation Association calling it “a tremendous story”.

Officer who kicked man in the head during Manchester airport brawl says he acted ‘professionally’

THE police officer filmed kicking a man in the head during an airport brawl has told a court he acted “professionally”.

Firearms cop Zachary Marsden has admitted kicking Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, while he was on the ground, last July.

PC Marsden told a jury he was trying to arrest Amaaz for headbutting another man in a cafe at Manchester Airport.

Marsden said he was aware of the “crowd dynamic” in the pay station area and wanted to remove Amaaz from the area in case of an adverse crowd reaction.

He said: “Based on my experience as a police officer, affecting an arrest in a crowd can create its own crowd dynamic risk.

“It would be better to remove him from the crowd.

“I did not want to operate within the crowd which could give them the opportunity to escalate the situation.”

The brawl, which also involved Amaaz’s brother Muhammad Amaad, 26, and two other officers was filmed and went viral on the internet.

Both brothers, from Rochdale, deny assault charges and claim they acted in self defence.

Their lawyer Imran Khan KC told Liverpool crown court Amaaz saw PC Marsden aim his Taser at his brother and may have believed it was a gun.

The trial continues.

We built a ‘garden room’ onto our home for £300 using a cheap IKEA buy & there’s a plant that makes it smell AMAZING

A COUPLE who were fed up with their plain garden have revealed how they created a jaw-dropping ‘extra room’ using a cheap Ikea buy.

Sarah, who runs the @hearts_at_claremont account, showed how she picked up a £300 pergola to instantly transform the space into a “sanctuary.”

They bought a £300 pergola from Ikea and filled it with items they already had[/caption]

Sarah shared: “We loved our garden room in our old house, and I really wanted to create something similar in our new garden.

“So, with a pergola from IKEA and some help from my lovely dad, I was able to transform this space quickly and easily.”

She claimed the lightweight frame was easy to put together, but it was slightly tricky putting the canopy on top.

What she thought would be a five minute job, actually took “a lot longer.”

However, once they had achieved it, it was “really easy to open and close.”

Sarah said her dad drilled the frame down as it was a little wobbly, and put some brackets on to make it more stable in the wind.

Next it was time to add some items under the pergola, and she used garden furniture she already had to save cash, including some chairs and a table, and put some fairylights up.

To make it look pretty, she added a gorgeous climbing Jasmine plant which not only looked “gorgeous”, but also has an “amazing scent.”

The creative homeowner said: “I then added lots of pots and plants, soften the look at the pergola and make it look like it’s always been there. I added rugs, soft furnishings, cushions, and candles.

“I’m so happy with how this project has turned out. Our comfy, cosy little summer sanctuary.”

Sarah’s video has racked up over 216,000 views and clearly impressed internet users.

One said: “It looks so nice! Love that jasmine plant too.”

Another added: “Who knew IKEA sold pergola! Thanks for this it looks stunning.”

And a third commented: “Looks amazing.”

Liam Cahill praises Kilkenny for not crying foul over scoregate as Tipperary move on from semi-final saga

LIAM CAHILL hailed Kilkenny for not kicking up a fuss over scoregate – and says Tipperary have moved on from the saga.

Noel McGrath’s wide in Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final was waved wide by the umpire, but the Croke Park scoreboard registered the point.

GAA officials declared that the Premier had won 4-21 to 0-30 – but McGrath’s effort was subsequently chalked off, and the official scoreline was changed to 4-20 to 0-30.

Believing they were three points down, the Cats chased a goal in vain before the Premier advanced to the All-Ireland final against Cork.

And boss Cahill lauded the Cats for leaving it at that ahead of their July 20 showdown against the Rebels.

He said: “We know Kilkenny from the start of time are a huge hurling county and I said that afterwards. Like ourselves, if Kilkenny don’t win it on the field, they ain’t going to bring it to the boardroom, that’s for sure.

“For me, we were going on the scoreboard. Through Declan Laffan and the lads down the earpiece, there might have been a little query alright but for us we were playing what was in front of us.

“What can we say sure, it’s human error, that’s the bottom line. A mistake was made but it had no effect on us, on what we wanted to achieve at the end of the day, which was just to get the result.

“Everybody in the GAA, we do our best to try and do things voluntary and keep things as right as we can and unfortunately it was just human error. What can be done, only move on.

“It was out of our control, really. It is unfortunate. From the outset, these boys here were just concentrating on getting over the line.

“Look, you can go into all the ins and out of it, there were several other passages of play, decisions that work out throughout the 74-plus minutes.

“The reality is that’s what big matches like that are made of and you just roll with the punches and you take the hits.”

Meanwhile Galway’s Liam Gordon will referee his first ever All-Ireland final when Tipperary clash with Cork.

The Killimor clubman refereed Clare’s defeat to the Rebels Cork and Limerick’s victory over Pat Ryas’s men the Munster SHC this summer.

He also took charge of Antrim’s Leinster SHC loss to Dublin and Limerick’s shock All-Ireland quarter-final loss to the Sky Blues last month.

Cops reportedly found her body in a state of ‘decomposition’[/caption]

Humaira, 32, is said to have lived alone in her flat in Karachi for more than seven years.

But a court ordered cops to vacate her flat after her rent was due for more than a year, according to ScreenRant.

This led authorities to discover her body, which local media reported was in a “state of decomposition”.

Senior police officer Syed Asad Raza told Images: “It appeared that the body was several days old.”

Dr Summaiya Syed, who is a part of the investigative process, said: “The body is in a very advanced stage of decomposition.”

While authorities have yet to reveal the cause of her death, they have ruled out murder as a possible cause.

This is because no signs of forced entry were found inside her flat after cops broke in.

Humaira is best known for starring on the reality show Tamasha Ghar in Pakistan and in the movie Jalaibee.

Tamasha is a similar show to Big Brother, with houseguests competing against each other.

The contestants are typically celebrities and other well-known people.

Humaira also competed with the title of “pageant winner.”

‘He knows that I’m peeved’, says mum-to-be Doireann Garrihy as she takes cheeky swipe at former RTE 2FM co-host

DOIREANN Garrihy took a cheeky swipe at her former 2FM co-cost Donncha O’Callaghan today.

The trio hosted the 2FM Breakfast Show together for a number of years and also fronted a hidden-camera comedy series together called The Full Irish Hidden Camera Show.

Donncha O’Callaghan, Doireann Garrihy, and Carl Mullan filming The Full Irish Hidden Camera Show.
Carl, Doireann and Donncha all worked closely together during their stints at RTE

Doireann left the breakfast show last May after five years on air and Donncha stepped away shortly after for unrelated reasons.

Carl has remained on the show, now hosting alongside new co-stars Roz Purcell and Aisling Bonnar.

And on a recent episode of her hit podcast, Doireann & Friends, the host sat down with Carl Mullan to talk about the close bond the trio formed while working together.

Carl admitted that he had a “right cry” to his wife after they made the decision to leave the show.

He explained: “I was so afraid of us not maintaining that contact with each other.”

However, the pair agreed that it was easier than they expected to maintain contact as they both live in Dublin.

Unfortunately the same can’t be said for Donncha, the pair’s other co-host while on 2FM.

Doireann said he is “the worst” for keeping in contact, while Carl added that Donncha won’t tell him when he’s in Dublin, “because he hates it so much”.

Doireann added that she doesn’t tell Donncha when she is in Cork either as she doesn’t “want to pressure him” into seeing her.

But, the 32-year-old was frustrated with Donncha recently when she learned that he was near her home and never told her.

Doireann explained: “He was at Bloom, which is literally my doorstep. I was like, ‘You are!! I would have had you in for tea’. So he knows that I’m a bit peeved at the moment with him.”

Recently Doireann enjoyed an unexpected start to her dreamy French holiday as the star was bumped up to business class.

The 2FM host and her husband Mark Mehigan jetted over to France early this morning, despite air strikes taking place.

Doireann took to her Instagram story before the plane took off to share an update with fans.

BEST BUDDIES

The 32-year-old explained that the pair had just boarded their flight but admitted: “It was all a very stressful time because of the strikes on the air traffic control in France.”

The Dancing With The Stars host emphasised how their entire trip was “touch and go” due to the strikes.

She added: “I didn’t even know if we’d be getting on this flight or not.”

The TV star told how the airline decided to get a bigger plane and fit two flights onto one, in order to decrease the amount of air traffic going through France.

STAR PALS

But, because of the change in plane, Doireann and Mark were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to business class.

The mum-to-be looked delighted as she panned the camera around to show her private seated area and extra leg room.

The Irish host beamed as she said: “Well this is a novelty isn’t it?”

Love Island fans feel sick as Harry tells Casa Amor girl he’ll give her an orgasm and teases they’ll have sex soon

LOVE Island’s Harry made fans “feel sick” after he was heard telling a Casa Amor girl he’ll give her an orgasm.

Despite being coupled up with Helena, Harry has made a play for one of the new bombshells, and even teased her that they’ll “have sex soon”.

In tonight’s Love Island Harry made the moves on Rheo, and went straight in for the kill with the dirty chat.

As the conversation started to heat up, Rheo talked about not having an orgasm though actual sex, to which Harry replied: “I think I could probably uh probably put that right at some point.”

Teasing sex in their future, he said: “I think we’ll maybe see sooner than you think.”

Harry’s comments left fans squirming at home, with one saying: “Harry makes my skin crawl.

“I’d rather be sick in my hands and clap then hear a chat up line from him.”

This one added: “Harry’s comments are so sleazy!”

Another said: “Poor Harry’s mum having to watch him talks like that!”

But Harry isn’t the only one with a wandering eye, as Helena has also been making a play for Casa Amor lad Ty.

But it doesn’t look like there will be any love lost between Harry and Helena.

Asked by a fellow Islander if he missed Helena, he bluntly said: “No, not really.”

SHOUT OUT TO MY EX

During his time in the Casa Amor villa, Harry also came face to face with his ex Emma, who arrived a bombshell.

Despite him cracking on with Rheo, some fans speculated that the former couple “never really split up”.

It came after the brunette stunner was revealed as a Casa Amor bombshell recently, alongside five other females.

Last Friday, Love Island 2025 OG Harry was left stunned when his ex entered the compound.

After the pair shared a relationship de brief in the Casa Amor villa, in which Emma revealed the real reason for their split, fans reckon something suspicious is going on.

As Emma claimed that he cheated when he brought girls into the home they previously shared together, viewers have suggested there may still be feelings brewing between the exes.

Others have suggested the pair – who locked lips in a challenge – never really broke up at all.

During the chat about their relationship downfall, one fan wrote: “I swear these two are still in a relationship, it’s just the vibe I’m getting.”

A second put: “Definitely still in a relationship hence why he’s not making it serious with anyone.”

A third put: “Makes sense that they are still together most of what they are saying sounds fake.”

Love Island 2025 - Casa Amor girls

WHO are the latest bombshells heading into the spin-off villa?

The Sun exclusively reported the identities of the six beauties heading into the ITV2 spin-off villa, after it was teased during last week’s episode.

The Love Island newbies were seen strolling into the compound clad in swimwear – with one already having a connection to Harry.

On the show’s official Instagram page it teased: “Amor the merrier… who’s ready for Casa Amor?” and now we can report the full line-up.

  • Lauren Wood, 26,
  • Emma Munro, 30
  • Lucy Quinn, 21
  • Yasmin Broom, 26
  • Andrada Pop, 27
  • Rheo Parnell, 26

“You think, ‘oh yes, let me just f*** this up’, like there’s just no need for any other woman to be in my house.”

As he tried to assure her that he would ‘be there’, she later corrected his version of the timeline of their relationship.

He told her: “You don’t have very high thoughts of me, or you don’t think a lot of me, but I am here. I think I said that in the letter to you years ago.”

To which she replied: “Years ago? You mean in February?”

She then added: “We make the choice not to be together because we know that you can’t give me what I need, and that’s why it’s not because we don’t love each other, we have to like, be strong enough to like, stand on that decision.”

Fans of the show took to social media in droves as they were left completely flabbergasted by the semi-pro footballers past behaviour.
