TIKTOK/@kittsandpieces The gorgeous glow the following morning – and according to the shopper, it lasted five days[/caption]
The discount supermarket sent shoppers into a frenzy after launching their very own fake tan just in time for summer – and compared to cult favourites, Lidl’s Marbella Glow is significantly cheaper.
While other viral brands retail around the £10 mark, the German store’s version costs just £4.49.
Thrifty beauty buffs can choose the vegan-friendly tan in three shades – Medium, Extra Dark and Ultra Dark.
Bargain-mad TikToker, only known as @kittsandpieces on the platform, went for the latter option, sharing her honest thoughts online.
The PhD student, who dubbed herself a ”pale girlie”, started the process by showering and ensuring her skin was moisturised before applying the bronzing mousse.
To ensure the tan doesn’t stick to particularly dry areas, such as elbows and knees, the blonde stunner used Ultra-Repairing Soothing Balm by La Roche-Posay.
The balm, which she claimed was ”a game-changer”, is currently on offer on Amazon for around £8, and for best results, the TikToker left it on for 20 to 30 minutes before applying the tan.
After covering herself in the dark mousse, the Lidl shopper was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the tan dried.
Raving about the wallet-friendly buy, she said in the video: ”No sticky feeling going to bed and no bad tan smell either.”
The following morning, the TikToker hopped into the shower, rinsed off the tan and was amazed by the results.
Sporting a gorgeous glow which made her look like as if she’s just returned from a sunny holiday, the student said: ”10/10 for me.”
The best part? According to the shopper, the sun-kissed glow lasts almost a week too.
”I find I get a solid 4/5 days out of it with showers and all, it’s even survived my swimming.”

Superdrug Solait Self Tan Mousse Medium – £4.79 (was £5.99) – Buy Now
Tester: Abby Wilson, Senior Fabulous Digital Writer
Review: “This product give a very natural looking tan and if you wanted something a bit bolder, I’d suggest leaving it on longer or choosing a darker shade. I’m impressed with the results, but now my entire room stinks of the stuff. If you’re on a budget and want a tan for last-minute plans, I would say this is one to try. “
bBold Dream Mousse Tan in Dark – £9.50 – Buy Now
Tester: Josie O’Brien, Senior Fabulous Digital Writer
Review: “The first thing that hit me about this tan was the “juicy watermelon” scent – it’s delicious. I was left with a natural bronze hue rather than orange glow. My only qualm is that the tan seemed to stick to my dry patches and accentuated ‘strawberry skin’ on my legs. I’m still adding this tan to my arsenal though – the smell, colour and texture are dreamy.”
St Moriz Professional Medium Tanning Mousse – £4.99– Buy Now
Tester: Kate Kulniece, Fabulous Writer
Review: “Not only does St. Moriz mousse leave you with a gorgeous bronzed glow, but it also smells fabulous – think Piña Colada on a sunny beach. At first, I was a little bit sceptical cause I’m a gradual fake tan girlie, but this quick developing St. Moriz number may change it all.”
Mixed reviews
But while the money-smart shopper was raving about the bargain buy, not everyone had the best reviews.
”Yes it’s good but be careful !! heard of horror stories from this tan especially firsthand ended up in a&e with a swollen face,” wrote one of the 36k viewers.
Another chimed in: ”it does smell, lovely red undertone, doesn’t last long.”
Someone else said: ”I did it today and planing to wash it in the morning.
”I don’t know looks weird on the face I hope I will not be all stained.”

And following their last time skating together, Christopher, 66, said: “The performance went well and the audience were amazing and so, for us, to be able to bow out on a high like that was wonderful.”
Opening up about performing in his hometown, he continued: “These last four performances here in Nottingham, the early ones were quite emotional and I think I sort of got that out of me, and tonight, it was a high.”
Jayne, 67, added: “I think we’ll miss it.
“When you’ve done all these shows like this, and you’re suddenly home, not doing anything, you miss that adrenaline rush and you miss the excitement of being on the ice, whether it’s a practice session or a performance.”
The duo were coaches on Dancing On Ice from 2006 until it ended the first time around in 2014.
When the ITV show returned in 2018, they became head judges on the panel alongside Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse.
An ITV Spokesperson said: “Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing On Ice will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice.”
She told The Sun: “Torvill and Dean are national treasures. They are fantastic people, and the most iconic skaters in the skating world as a whole, not just England, and I think Britain sometimes doesn’t recognise that, or even notice that they are iconic to the world.
“So it’s their show. I just love that. It’s their show. So whenever they’re ready, I think, then that’s when it will go.”

LOVE Island fans have threatened to call Ofcom after Meg erupted at Andrada last night.
Viewers have branded Meg the “ultimate mean girl” after she laid into Andrada when she eavesdropped on her and Dejon’s conversation.
Love Island fans have demanded Meg is axed after she erupted last nightErotemeMeg laid into Andrada for eavesdropping on her and Dejon’s conversationEroteme
Meg found out that Andrada told the girls to be quiet so that she could listen, promoting Meg to confront her on the staircase.
She raged: “Andrada don’t be in here saying shush to hear my conversation with D.”
Andrada replied: “Pipe down, who do you think you’re shouting at?
“What’s wrong with you?”
“What’s right with you?” Meg fired back as she got up in her face.
The pair continued to argue in the bedroom, with Andrada blaming Meg’s foul mood on her insecurities in her relationship with Dejon.
Meg furiously denied this and said she and Dejon were “good”.
But those watching at home have hit out at Meg for her behaviour – and have called on bosses to axe her.
One wrote: “Do you think if we make enough complaints to Ofcom about Meg getting in Andrada’s face they’ll kick her out for us?”
A second posted: “The producers of Love Island and ITV can mis-edit all they want. Meg and Dejon are not winning this show and Meg is the ultimate mean girl. The fact she’s got away with bullying all those girls is a disgrace and I hope Ofcom is bombarded.”
A third said: “Meg reminds me of the girls who would bully you in high school while her little sidekick bestie that she secretly hates and popular footballer boyfriend laugh along side. scary!”
“Meg is sour… and thinks now she can bully people,” a fourth wrote.
Someone else commented: ” I don’t feel sympathy for Meg at all, she’s a nasty bully but also being with Dejon for 5 weeks really would make you bat****.”
Another demanded: “Meg possesses all of the qualities of a secondary school bully need her out the villa expeditiously.”
Earlier that night, Meg and Dejon clashed as they discussed what was shown on Movie Night.
Dejon grew close to Andrada in Casa Amor, calling her “babygirl” and saying she was the “best bombshell” they’d had.
By the Firepit, Meg shared her disappointment with Dejon: “You’re playing a game D, and I’m not playing it with you.”
Dejon told Meg: “I’m done with this conversation,” and abruptly walked off.
He then brutally told her that he could “take it all back”, referring to their exclusivity after he “closed off” their relationship days ago.

TELLY’S most tantrum-filled talent show is back! Dance Moms: A New Era brings you more mama drama, big bust-ups – and a tough new coach training tomorrow’s stars.
The original Dance Moms quickly won an army of fans when it launched in 2011.
Demanding coach Glo Hampton puts students through their paces in weekly contests
Child dancers fiercely competed to impress hard-to-please teacher Abby Lee Miller (top) and claim their spot at the top of her infamous points pyramid.
This first series made superstars of students like Jojo Siwa and Maddie Ziegler.
It also thrust the super-protective mums into the spotlight as they schemed against each other and rowed with Abby, who ruled her dance studio with an iron fist.
Expect more twists, turns, tempers and dazzling performances in Dance Moms: A New Era, with nine episodes now streaming on Channel 4.
Abby Lee’s replacement Glo Hampton battles to take her young charges and her dance school Studio Bleu in Virginia, USA, to the next level – entering them for national competitions each week.
Rivalries have sprung up right from the start. In the first episode, one of the students, 13-year-old dance prodigy Audrey, is meant to help fellow student Mina nail some tricky moves during a lunch break.
Instead she chooses TikTok over teamwork, scrolling on her phone instead of supporting Mina, eight – which has the mums complaining.
Audrey’s decision goes down especially badly with Mina’s mum, Min – cue the fireworks!
Min and the other mums waste no time tearing into Audrey’s mother, Tammi, questioning her daughter’s leadership ability.
But Audrey and Tammi fight back, telling the mums that a child shouldn’t be shouldering responsibility for the rest of the team.
So tension is already bubbling, and the drama is just getting started!
As fans celebrate the excitement of this new chapter, we look back at some of the unforgettable moments from the original Dance Moms that thrilled millions.
Ice scream
When the drama gets too much, sometimes you just need to escape.
And for coach Abby Lee Miller, that meant going straight to a police station.
After rival dance studio owner Tammy Croftcheck confronted her for being on her phone during a student’s competition performance, Abby decided she’d had enough.
In an inevitably dramatic exit, she declared: “I’m gonna go to Baskin Robbins!”
But ice cream wasn’t on the menu. Instead Abby went to the police, and afterwards claimed she’d filed a complaint against Tammy.
Don’t bow down
Fans adore JoJo Siwa for her high-energy pop songs and her loved-up romance with reality hunk Chris Hughes. But let’s not forget where it all started – Dance Moms!
She burst onto the scene with her killer dance moves, glittery outfits and sharp comebacks.
Aged just 11, she even faced off against the queen of drama herself, Abby Lee Miller.
Abby clashed with JoJo and her mum, Jessalyn, after JoJo was ranked low on the pyramid for scoring fifth place in that week’s competition.
Abby blamed the position on JoJo not getting into her possessed character enough as JoJo refused to watch a scary movie to avoid nightmares.
Jessalyn continued to defend JoJo but things escalated when Abby removed JoJo from the pyramid, declaring she “deserves nothing” and criticising her tears saying, “You can’t stand there and cry.”
JoJo, never one to back down, hit back with her iconic line: “If you yell at me, I’m gonna cry,” which resulted in her being kicked out of the dance studio.
However, after a quick chat with her mum, JoJo showed her maturity by returning to apologise, proving she was the bigger person in the end. Classic JoJo drama with a touch of heart!
Dressing room clash
The first Dance Moms was packed with explosive moments, but Season 4, Episode 7 – Big Trouble in the Big Apple – delivered one of the most jaw-dropping showdowns.
Dance mom Kelly Hyland felt Abby showed favouritism towards other dancers instead of her daughters Brooke and Paig.
So during a competition in New York, she decided to tackle the issue head on with Abby in the dressing room.
Things quickly spiralled out of control during the explosive clash. Kelly pointed her finger in Abby’s face, and the coach started making biting gestures.
Next Kelly pulled Abby’s hair, and the girl dancers were left in tears. Afterwards Kelly and her daughters quit the show for good.
Amazing moves
The drama was next level, but Dance Moms also gave us plenty of dazzling performances that amazed fans.
Among them was Maddie Ziegler’s unforgettable contemporary solo, Cry, which helped catapult her to stardom and made her a household name.
A tearjerking moment came with JoJo Siwa’s stunning dance, Faith Is All I Need, a heartfelt tribute to her grandmother Kathy, who had cancer.
These standout dances prove it wasn’t just the drama keeping us hooked – the talent was right up there too!

CONOR McGregor’s fiancee Dee Devlin has spoken out after the former UFC champion was pictured kissing a mystery woman.
In yet another scandal for theIrishman, the pair were sighted packing on the PDA in full sight of other beachgoers.
Today, McGregor’s long-time fiancee shared a post on her Instagram story from a fan account which read: “Happy Birthday to the person who always keeps Dee entertained and makes her smile.”
Putting on a united front, she posted a series of photos of them beaming together.
McGregor has beenengaged to Dee Devlin since 2020, and they share four children together.
His partner of 16 years loyally stood by his side, even when he was accused of “brutally raping and battering” a woman.
The pair boast a glam life on social media, posting smiling snaps of each other and their kids in matching outfits.
They take holidays in Marbella, where they have a £1.3million villa in the exclusive gated The Heights set on the La Resina country club estate.
Their first born was son Conor Jr, who regularly appears on his dad’s Instagram page.
They have a daughter, Croia, and a second son named Rian.
In 2023, they welcomed a third boy they called Mack.
Last year, when McGregor left the High Court in Dublin when he was found liable of assaulting a woman, he was flanked by his loyal fiancée.
Devlin left court with him after a civil trial heard how McGregor, 36, was accused of “brutally raping and battering” Nikki Hand in a penthouse at the Beacon Hotel in south Dublin in 2018.
The MMA fighter said he had consensual sex with Hand, but the jury decided in her favour – with the court awarding the accuser damages of just over £200,000.
In a statement on social media, he wrote: “People want to hear from me, I needed time. I know I made mistakes.
“I should never have stepped out on the woman I love the most in the world. That’s all on me.
“I have instructed my legal team to appeal the decision.
“I can’t go back and I will move forward. I am beyond grateful to my family, friends and supporters all over the world who have stayed by my side.
“That’s it. No more. Getting back to the gym – the fight game awaits!”
Devlin wrote on social media afterwards: “My man and I have created a beautiful life together. I love him I trust him and I BELIEVE HIM!
“Our four beautiful children whose smiling faces and happy hearts are testimony to the man he is and who we are!
“No one is entitled to comment on our relationship – we trust one another and love one another.
“Nothing or nobody will change that. Our family stands strong!”
She seems to be staying loyal to her partner, even after he packed on the PDA with another woman.
Yesterday, The Sun reported that the former two-division UFC champion – who hasn’t fought in nearly four years – cozied up with a dark-haired woman.
He then laid down a towel for the woman and wrapped an arm around her shoulders in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Irishman seemed to lap up the attention of other female beachgoers around him.
