Urgent alert for Zach Bryan fans ahead of Phoenix Park gigs as strict rules and entry advice revealed

ZACH Bryan fans have been hit with some major warnings ahead of his three Dublin shows this weekend.

The Oklahoma man, 28, is preparing to play to 180,000 people in Dublin’s Phoenix Park across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

But before the music kicks off, Aiken Promotions have issued a list of important rules and safety advice for those attending the gigs – with fans being urged to plan ahead and follow strict entry guidelines.

They have strongly advised punters attending the shows to use public transport and have their tickets downloaded to their phones.

For early-entry ticket holders, gates open at 4.30pm while general admission begins at 5pm.

The show is due to start at 6pm and wrap up around 10.30pm.

Fans are also being reminded that the main entrance from Phoenix Park is around a 45 minute walk, so concergoers should be prepared for a long trek in and out of the venue.

The gig will be fully cashless and early queuing is not permitted, while no re-entry will be allowed once you’re inside the grounds.

There are also strict bag rules in place with only bags A4 size or smaller permitted.

Prams, umbrellas, chairs and even items like food, alcohol, bottles, flairs and flagpoles will not be allowed through the gates.

U18’s must be accompanied by an adult or guardian and children under five are not permitted to attend the gigs.

Attendees are also advised to bring photo ID.

While small 35mm cameras are allowed, any professional camera equipment or recording devices will be confiscated.

Security has also urged fans to “beware of bogus ticket sellers” and not to purchase from any unofficial sources.

If you lose an item during the show, lost property will be managed at the information point or you can contact lost@aikenpromotions.com afterwards.

Supporting acts across the weekend include US country band Turnpike Troubadours and Canadian singer-songwriter Noeline Hofmann.

COUNTRY LOVIN’

Noeline Hoffman gained popularity last year after her collaboration with Bryan on her track Purple Gas and Turnpike Troubadours have just released their latest album, The Price of Admission.

Meanwhile, concerts chief Peter Aiken has claimed that Bryan’s next step will be headlining Croke Park like Garth Brooks.

He told The Irish Sun: “The last time Zach played here was to 3,000 people in The Helix.

“Now two years later, we have 180,000 coming to Phoenix Park, so Croke Park is definitely next.”

But Peter admits the rise of the country star, whose hits include Something in the Orange and I Remember Everything, has surprised many.

He told us: “A guy in the newsagents this morning asked me, ‘Who is Zach Bryan?’

“He didn’t know the name but by the weekend everybody in Ireland will know Zach Bryan.”

‘Stop before someone seriously hurt’ plea as petrol bombs & missiles hurled at cops during 2nd night of Derry disorder

A LOCAL MP in Derry has pleaded with people to “stop causing havoc” after a second night of disorder yesterday.

It is understood two Catholic boys were allegedly attacked in April, with ongoing issues across Derry as a result.

Brian Lawless/PA Wire

These tensions erupted in violent disorder with large crowds gathering in areas across the city on Monday and Tuesday night.

The PSNI confirmed petrol bombs and masonry were thrown at officers during violence in the Nailors row area of Derry yesterday.

Missiles were also thrown as part of the unrest outside a facility for the elderly in the area.

An 18-year-old and a 13-year-old were arrested on Monday night on suspicion of riotous behaviour.

Both were later released.

Colum Eastwood MP is now pleading with young people to avoid getting sucked into violence that will “haunt” them as he slammed the recent disorder.

He also pleaded with parents to prevent their children engaging in antisocial behavior and have sit down conversations with their children about the violence seen across Northern Ireland recently.

Mr Eastwood said: “For the second night in a row young people put themselves and others in danger around Nailor’s Row.

“It’s the last thing that anyone in the city wants or needs and it needs to stop before someone is seriously hurt or worse.

“Elderly people living in nearby Alexander House were left worried and distressed about what was happening around their homes. They don’t want or deserve that.

“The last thing that any of us wants is for young people in Derry to throw away their futures for a moment of madness.

“I’m urging parents to sit down with their kids today, talk to them about this and about the violence across the North over the last week.

“Explain to them the impact that it has on our community, the danger they’re putting themselves in and the serious risk that a criminal conviction will follow and have a lasting impact on their lives.

“There is a lot of good community work going on to minimise disorder. I know there are first class outreach and engagement workers that are trying to give young people an alternative to this.

“It’s really important that we invest in those projects and provide people in the city with the tools to divert young people from this kind of future.”

‘AVOID THE AREA’

Police warned people to avoid the area last night as the disorder broke out for the second night.

In a statement they said: “Police are dealing with ongoing disorder in the Nailors Row area of Derry / Londonderry this evening, Tuesday June 17.

“A number of missiles, including masonry and petrol bombs, have been thrown towards officers.

“We would ask motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area until further notice.”

BALLYMENA RIOTS

The disorder in Derry comes just days after almost a week of violent protests in Ballymena in Antrim.

The unrelated disorder broke out after a peaceful protest in Ballymena last week.

2,500 people gathered after a teenage girl was allegedly the victim of a serious sexual assault last weekend.

The crowd had initially gathered to support the family of the girl but violence broke out later in the evening, with homes being smashed in and missiles thrown through the windows.

Several people were arrested and are due in court, with police requesting public help identifying further suspects.

It is reported 64 officers were injured amid the violence.

Former Champions League winners announce first ever renovation of 50,033-seater stadium as roof is completely replaced

EUROPEAN giants Porto have announced plans for changes to their iconic Estádio do Dragão.

The stadium first opened in 2003 at a cost of £107million (€125m) and remains an architectural landmark among global sports venues.

A whole new roof is included in the plans[/caption]

However, Porto have announced that for the first time ever the stadium will be having some major TLC.

A club statement explained the stadium infrastructure had suffered from natural wear and tear, while the advancement of technology in the 22 years since its opening also played a part in the decision.

The main areas of improvement would focus on the infrastructure, technology and services of the venue.

It said: “One of the most beautiful stadiums in the world of football must have spaces and equipment at the level required, the blue and white members and fans will be able to enjoy more and better experiences from next season.

“Following the commercial partnership established with Ithaka – which involves revenue and operating costs associated with ticketing, corporate hospitality, naming rights and other sponsorship contracts associated with the stadium, the Museum, visits and the organisation of non-sporting events, as well as other opportunities for generating revenue, present or future, related to Dragão – FC Porto has defined three axes of intervention: infrastructure, technology and services.”

The plan is to carry out the works during pre-season of the 2025/26 and 2026/27 campaigns in order to minimise the impact on the sporting season.

Long term, this update will make the ground ready to host the World Cup when the famous tournament visits Portugal in 2030.

Works have already been ongoing for a few weeks, with club boxes being modernised along with the fan common areas like the toilets and bars.

BEST ONLINE CASINOS – TOP SITES IN THE UK

Next summer will see the club tackle the creation of new hospitality areas in an effort to “completely transform the hospitality and VIP services” on offer at the 50,033-capacity stadium.

A new central kitchen, autonomous bars, a new lighting system and a complete renovation of the roof are on the agenda for infrastructure works.

The coming changes will also see the stadium modernised with all ticketing transactions to be done without having to go to a physical store, while FC Porto will also be launching its own platform alongside this.

All tickets, ranging from season ticket renewals and sales back to the club, will also be able to be carried out digitally.

This will be implemented as early as next month.

Porto are the second most successful club in Portuguese football with 30 league titles, only behind Benfica‘s tally of 38.

Their last title arrived in 2022, before Gonçalo Ramos inspired Benfica to the 2023 title and Ruben Amorim built his Sporting Lisbon squad into a title-winning force over the last two seasons.

Porto are also two-time Champions of Europe, having won the Champions League in 1987 and 2004 – the latter of which sparked the career of a certain Jose Mourinho into life.

They missed out on Champions League football last season, and only made it to the Europa League league knockout phase as they ended the season without major silverware for the first time since 2021.

However, they did still win the Portuguese Supertaça, or Super Cup, after coming from 3-0 down to beat Sporting Lisbon.

The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 2025: Betting tips and predictions

THE ALL‑IRELAND Senior Hurling Championship 2025 stands as the pinnacle of inter‑county hurling in Ireland, with the prestigious Liam MacCarthy Cup awarded to the nation’s best team.

Historically, Kilkenny (36 titles), Cork (30) and Tipperary (28) have dominated the competition, but Limerick have challenged the trio’s supremacy more recently, with four wins in a row between 2020 and 2023.

However, Cork ended Limerick’s bid for a historic five-in-a-row at the semi-final stage in 2024, only to fall to Clare in a thrilling final decided by a single point after extra time. With seasoned stars like Cork’s Patrick Horgan and Kilkenny’s T.J. Reid going for another title win, the 2025 championship promises to be another unmissable summer of hurling.

☘ All-Ireland SHC 2025 quick tip

2025 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship odds

Here are the odds for other teams participating in the All-Ireland SHC

  • Cork 6/4
  • Killkenny 9/2
  • Tipperary 10/1
  • Galway 28/1
  • Dublin 80/1

Odds provided by bet365 are subject to change. Updated on June 18.

Who are the current bookies’ favourites?

Limerick

Limerick and Cork have had a fierce rivalry over the years, but it has reached new levels in recent years with their All-Ireland semi-final clash in 2024, and the 2025 Munster Senior Hurling Championship final penalty-shoot out.

Limerick came out on the wrong side of both. But given their form over the past five years, John Kiely’s team are rightly one of the favourites again in 2025. The bookies are split between the two. Bet365 are just favouring Cork at 11/8, with Limerick at 7/5, whereas BetVictor have both at 11/8.

Cork

Cork and Limerick made history in the 2025 Munster Senior Hurling Championship final, with a penalty shootout needed to decide the winner for the first time ever. Cork held their nerve to prevail 3-2 in the shootout, securing their 55th provincial title in the process.

The shootout win also ended Limerick’s run of six Munster titles in a row, and along with Cork’s All-Ireland semi-final win in 2024, could the pendulum be starting to swing back towards Pat Ryan’s team in the big matches?

With Cork already into the semi-finals, the best Irish betting sites have them at 11/8 to win the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

Kilkenny

Kilkenny claimed their sixth straight Leinster title, and 77th overall, with a 3-22 to 1-20 victory over Galway in the final. While the scoreline appeared convincing, Derek Lyng’s side were forced to weather a late Galway comeback, conceding 1-6 without reply in the closing stages.

The win sees Kilkenny progress directly to the All-Ireland semi-finals, where a likely showdown with Limerick looms. Given the path ahead, bookmakers have priced the Cats as third favourites for the Liam MacCarthy Cup at 9/2.

With the ever-reliable T.J. Reid leading the charge, Kilkenny will still fancy their chances of another title, although overcoming a fired-up Limerick will be no easy task.

Who are among the underdogs?

With the defending champions Clare already out, Tipperary (11/1), Galway (25/1) and Dublin (100/1) are the shortest-priced outsiders with the bookmakers.

Dublin face Kildare in the Preliminary quarter-finals, with the winners facing the unenviable task of trying to stop Limerick in the quarter-final. Kildare are 500/1 to win the All-Ireland final, but the reality is, Dublin could well be the same odds, as neither have any real chance of getting past Limerick

Tipperary are in the other half of the draw. They will face Laois (500/1) in the other Preliminary quarter-final, with the winner taking on Galway. Whoever comes through that quarter-final, will face Cork in the other semi.

Limerick to win 2025 SHC

It took two huge performances from Cork to beat Limerick in the All-Ireland semi-final in 2024 and in the Munster Championship final in 2025. They will likely need a third if they are to win their first All-Ireland title since 2005.

A closer look at recent results shows us that Limerick thrashed Cork by 16 points in the fourth match of round-robin group stage, and with a semi-final against Kilkenny likely to be the only real obstacle to John Kiely’s team reaching the final again, we are backing Limerick to come good and win their fifth title in six years.

➡ Back Limerick to win the 2025 Senior Hurling Championship – 7/5 with bet365

Last year’s All-Ireland SHC

Clare shocked the nation in 2024 by winning the All-Ireland hurling championship for the first time since 2013. A dominant 12-point win over Wexford in the quarter-final was followed by an edgy two-point victory over Kilkenny in the semi-final.

In the other half of the draw, Cork did the unthinkable and ended Limerick’s four-year winning-streak. As a result, the title seemed certain to return to the south coast again. But Clare had other ideas, and thanks to the likes of Aidan McCarthy, Mark Rodgers, and a Man of the Match display by captain Tony Kelly, they beat Cork by one point after extra-time.

All-Ireland SHC betting markets

Match Betting

This is the most straightforward market in hurling betting. You are simply backing either of the two teams to win or the match to end in a draw. For example, you could bet on Kilkenny to beat Galway at 4/5. Odds are offered on all three outcomes, and it’s a popular choice for casual punters. Draws are rare but can offer excellent value.

Goalscorer(s)

This market allows you to bet on individual players to score a goal during the match. It can apply to first goalscorer, anytime goalscorer, or even multiple goals from a player. A multiple goals bet is often where value lies, especially with in-form forwards. An example bet could be for Tony Kelly to score a goal anytime against Tipperary at odds of 5/2. Or to back him for the first goal at better odds of 9/1.

Handicap

Handicap betting levels the playing field by giving one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage. It’s useful when one side is a clear favourite, which can often be the case in the earlier stages of the hurling season. If your team still wins by more than the handicap margin, your bet comes in. For example, you back Limerick at -10.5 points to beat Offaly, meaning Limerick must win by 11 points or more. The odds are usually 10/11 or something similar in this market.

Total Points

This market involves betting on the total number of points scored in a game, usually in the form of over/under. It includes points from goals (worth 3 each) and regular points. Odds are typically at around 10/11. A bet on over 49.5 total points in a match that finished 26-25 (51 points in total) would win, while if the match finished 25-24 (49 points), the bet would be under and lose.

Outrights

Outright bets focus on long-term outcomes like who will win the All-Ireland Championship, provincial titles, or who will be top scorer. These are popular before and during the championship for value hunting. An example would be a bet on Cork to win the All-Ireland outright at 5/1, or Patrick Horgan to finish as top scorer in the championship at 6/1.

How to bet on the All-Ireland SHC

Whether you’re betting on individual matches, or the outright winner of the Liam MacCarthy Cup, betting on the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship isn’t difficult. Below we have put together a quick and easy to follow guide:

  1. Sign up or log in to your chosen bookmaker
  2. Navigate to the GAA/hurling section.
  3. Browse and select your market. This could be match odds, player specials, or outright winner.
  4. Add selection to your bet slip
  5. Enter your stake and then double check all looks correct
  6. Confirm your bet

📺 How to watch the All-Ireland SHC

In Ireland, the championship is shown live on RTÉ. There is also streaming available on GAA Go and GAA+ for selected games. Semi-finals and finals will be televised, but early rounds may require live score apps, radio coverage, or GAA social media for match updates. In the UK, coverage is available on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

Love Island beauty reveals she’s had fox eye surgery and a brow lift in Turkey a year after starring in the villa

A LOVE Island beauty has revealed she’s had fox eye surgery and a brow lift in Turkey.

It comes after the ITV2 show alum, 29, who starred in the 2024 instalment, switched up her look by dying her hair blonde.

Patsy, 29, told her Instagram followers she was recovering from fox eye and brow lift surgery[/caption]

Patsy Field was dumped after two weeks in the villa and left the show alongside Munveer Jabbal, 30.

Yet despite her short stay in Love Island’s Mallorca compound, she swiftly became a fan favourite after opening up about her Erb’s Palsy diagnosis.

Her condition means one of her arms is shorter than the other and it also has less function.

Since finding fame on the reality TV series, Patsy appears to have switched up her look completely.

Aside from her platinum hair transformation, she has told her Instagram fans she has jetted to Turkey for surgery.

Patsy uploaded a snapshot showing snack bars, cookies and canned drinks to her Stories with the words: “Been taking a few days to rest in Istanbul.

“So for anyone who asked what I had done it was a fox eye surgery/brow lift.”

She added: “They have been amazing at looking after me here and the results are already looking so good!

“When I am home and all healed I will do a Q&A on the experience and show you how it looks.”

In a separate slide, she captured the “cute deliveries” of snacks to help her heal.

The surgery comes amid a rough time for the star, who recently revealed a terrifying ordeal, which saw her followed by a man.

EYE SEE

Fox eye is a huge new cosmetic surgery trend, loved by the likes of former WAG Danielle Lloyd.

The trend sees supposedly invisible strings put in above the eyes to pull them upwards.

It uses biodegradable threads to surgically lift the eyes and the results can last anything from weeks up until a year.

Fox Eye Surgery - what is it, and which celebs have had it?

LOVE Island alum Patsy Field has revealed she's undergone fox eye surgery - but what is it?

The Fox Eye surgery trend sees supposedly invisible strings put in above the eyes to pull them upwards.

It uses biodegradable threads to surgically lift the eyes and the results can last anything from weeks up until a year.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Danielle revealed she’d had the procedure in March 2021.

In 2019, ex glamour model Katie was seen undergoing a similar surgical procedure in Turkey, where she opted for a face and eye lift.

Chloe Ferry revealed she was a fan in 2022 while Patsy’s fellow Love Island alum Mollie Salmon opted for the surgery more recently, back in 2023.

Dr. Omar Tillo – plastic surgeon and medical director at CREO Clinic – has warned about the additional risks of getting cosmetic procedures done abroad.

He said: “Sadly, the cosmetic surgery tourism industry is not above massaging the truth to lure patients to medical tourism hotspots, including Turkey, Poland or Thailand.

“Unscrupulous online marketing tactics are unregulated, meaning that the hundreds of positive reviews you see on consumer sites could be fake. What looks like a premium facility may really only be an illusion created by elaborate and aggressive marketing.

“Many medical tourists will forget about the return journey and the complications that can come with long-distance travel following a recent surgery.

“Flying within the same week of a cosmetic procedure can greatly increase the chances of blood clots, which could lead to deep vein thrombosis or a pulmonary embolism.”

‘Queen of Harley Street’ Lesley Reynolds previously told told OK!: Unlike other areas of the face, the skin around the brow and outer corner of the eye is already quite tight, while the brow area is quite bony, making the skin difficult to lift.

“In some patients scar tissue can encapsulate around the threads, which means they cannot be dissolved successfully. This can cause ripples and lumps under the skin.

“In other patients, lifting the skin can often cause folding and puckering, as the skin has nowhere to go once it has been pulled up – unlike surgery when excess skin is excised. If the threads are not inserted correctly, there can be a loss of sensation in the area.”

CELEB FANS

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Danielle revealed she’d had the procedure in March 2021.

Speaking to Closer magazine at the time, Danielle said: “I want to look my best, and this procedure prevents things like jowls and lines, so I thought, ‘Prevention is better than cure!’ I know I’m a little bit obsessed but it makes me feel better.”

In 2019, former glamour model Katie was seen undergoing a similar surgical procedure in Turkey, where she opted for a face and eye lift.

Chloe Ferry revealed she was a fan in 2022 while Patsy’s fellow Love Island alum Mollie Salmon opted for the surgery more recently, back in 2023.

Exact time Brits are most likely to get ‘hangry’ revealed in survey – do you agree?

A SURVEY has revealed the exact time Brits are most likely to get ‘hangry’.

The portmanteau refers to the combined emotion of ‘hungry’ and ‘angry’ – a common feeling among those surveyed.

Tackle your hunger with the new McDonald’s Big Arch burger[/caption]

The average Brit gets ‘hangry’ around 100 times a year – typically at 2.22pm.

A poll of 2,000 adults found 72 per cent have fallen victim to this at one time or another – with 45 per cent of these stating “you wouldn’t like me when I’m hangry.”

And being in this state of mind has far-reaching consequences – 32 per cent admit it impacts their motivation to do anything productive.

While 17 per cent revealed it has led to a mistake at work and 30 per cent said their sense of humour has taken a hit.

Commissioned by McDonald’s, which has launched the new Big Arch burger made with two 100 per cent British and Irish beef patties, topped with white cheddar, onions, lettuce, pickles, and Big Arch sauce, the research found 26 per cent admit they cope ‘poorly’ with hanger symptoms.

Almost a third (31 per cent) say they’ve been caught out by a loud stomach rumble in a meeting, while 12 per cent have even experienced an ill-timed grumbling stomach mid-date.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s: “It’s an easy trap to fall into because hanger can spring upon us at any moment.

“It’s important that we are prepared for these moments and have something on hand to relieve the hanger symptoms.”

Other than lack of food, the study found stress (39 per cent) is the biggest cause of hanger, with lack of sleep (33 per cent) also a common factor.

More than a third (35 per cent) revealed it tends to happen mostly when they’re bored – although 27 per cent say it’s unpredictable – and occurs at ‘random times.’

Hanger doesn’t just strike on the go—it’s a regular challenge at home too, with 24 per cent saying it’s a common problem in their household.

It emerged 63 per cent recognise the signs of hanger before it fully takes over, according to the OnePoll.com figures.

And when it hits, speed matters —57 per cent act fast and reach for something readily available, while 36 per cent attempt to curb it with water.

Those aged between 18 and 24 are the hangriest age group, with 48 per cent admitting this happens to them at least three times per week.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s added: “It is a good sign that Brits are aware when they’re feeling hangry.

“A quick solution is always key so that you can continue to go about your day, at your best.”

Hunt for Ireland’s biggest EVER EuroMillions winner as player urged to ‘stay calm’ & ‘have cup of tea’ after €250m win

IRELAND’s biggest ever EuroMillions winner is being urged to “stay calm” and keep the €250MILLION ticket “somewhere safe” – as the search for the golden ticket gets underway.

The National Lottery has confirmed this morning that the life-changing ticket was sold in a shop and wasn’t bought online.

CEO Cian Murphy, centre, said the winner should contact the National Lottery as soon as they can to make arrangements to collect the prize

The lucky store will be revealed in the coming days.

The winning numbers are 13, 22, 23, 44, 49 and lucky stars 3 and 5.

Spokesperson Emma Monaghan told RTE’s Morning Ireland: “It’s great news for Irish players, we are delighted for the winner.

“They’ve now become the highest ever winner of an Irish National Lottery game. So that is some title to hold.

“If anyone has found they are holding the winning ticket, they should sign the back of it and keep it somewhere safe.”

Emma said the lucky winner should let the win “sink in” and consider getting some financial and legal advice.

The National Lottery will be waiting by the phones for the player to make contact in the meantime.

She added: “If at all possible, to stay calm, I know that might be easier said than done.

“Have a cup of tea and just let it sink in. Players do have 90 days to claim the prize.

“So I’m hoping that they will make contact before then.”

The EuroMillions pot reached its maximum cap of €250million on June 6, meaning the prize couldn’t grow any further.

The jackpot is more than double the €115million Limerick woman Dolores McNamara scooped in 2005.

Last night’s winner now claims the title of Ireland’s biggest ever lottery winner, eclipsing the €175.4million prize bagged by a family syndicate from Naul in Co Dublin in 2019.

National Lottery CEO Cian Murphy said: “The details surrounding the winning ticket will be revealed over the coming days. With such a big win we have procedures to follow, but we will reveal the winning location as soon as we can.

“While this is a massive win, it can come as a shock to a winner and we advise them to stay calm, get independent legal and financial advice and contact us as soon as they can.”

EUROMILLIONS WINNERS ROLL CALL
