Daisy Lowe marries fiance and shares first pics of incredible wedding dress

DAISY Lowe has married her fiance Jordan Saul, sharing the first pics of her incredible wedding dress.

Model Daisy, 36, and property developer Jordan, 31, were joined by close friends and family as they said their vows on Thursday in an intimate London ceremony.

After the ceremony, the group headed to Brutto – an Italian restaurant in East London – where they celebrated with a cosy dinner featuring bowls of pasta and tiramisu.

Photos from the celebration, shared on social media by Daisy’s half-sister Betty Goffey, 18, offered a glimpse into the intimate evening.

Guests gathered around a candlelit table set up outside the trattoria, creating a warm, celebratory mood.

One photo showed Daisy wearing a classic off-the-shoulder white gown with her hair half-up, captioned simply by Betty: “Da bride.”

Daisy stunned fans as she later posted a string of shots from an Agent Provocateur shoot, in which she wore sets of VERY racy lingerie inside her room at the five-star Lanesborough hotel.

The star wore a veil with the getup, as well as a giant white bow, and a cake between her legs.

In their Instagram caption, the brand wrote: “And for the wedding night…

“Daisy Lowe for Agent Provocateur, captured by Claire Rothstein.”

Earlier that day, her mum Pearl Lowe shared a family photo taken on a quiet residential street before the couple headed to exchange their vows.

Also in attendance were Pearl’s husband Danny Goffey, Daisy’s half-siblings Betty, Alfie and Frankie, and her godmother, musician Zoe Grace.

Jordan’s family, including his parents, were also part of the celebrations.

One notable absence was Daisy’s biological father Gavin Rossdale, the frontman of rock band Bush.

Though he wasn’t present at the London ceremony, the pair remain on good terms, and he’s expected to attend a larger wedding celebration the couple are planning in Somerset later this summer.

Daisy and Jordan share a daughter named Ivy, who the Strictly alum gave birth to in 2023.

She announced her pregnancy in October 2022, after announcing their engagement in September.

Daisy previously said on Instagram: “I wanted to share some news with you. Jordan and I are having a baby.

“We are absolutely bursting at the seams with happiness. I’m oscillating wildly between excitement & nervousness with a dash of morning sickness thrown in for good measure! Big love to all of you.”

Daisy found her happy ever after with Jordan after a series of failed romances with famous faces including Dr Who star Matt Smith and DJ Mark Ronson.

She also dated One Direction’s Harry Styles and rapper Tinie Tempah.

‘Always keep a watchful eye’ – Irish pet owners issued stark warning over mistake that can be fatal

IRISH vets have warned of the dangers of heatstroke as temperatures continue to sizzle.

Across the country, with temperatures set to exceed 29C, The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) is advising owners to be “vigilant of their pets” during the heatwave.

DSPCA bosses said it is essential for owners to “keep pets cool and safe”.

The rescue vets warned that heatstroke is a “life-threatening condition” that can develop if an animal becomes too hot.

This can cause seizures, organ damage, internal bleeding, coma and even death.

Dogs are particularly at risk of developing heat stroke on warm days when they are outside exercising and playing.

It can also be caused by being in a warm room without proper ventilation, being kept somewhere hot such as a car, conservatory or kennel.

Any dog can develop heatstroke, but flat-faced, overweight, giant-breed, thick-coated, very old and very young dogs are most at risk.

Head of Operations at the DSPCA, Suzanne McGovern, said: “With hot temperatures forecast for the rest of the week, we must be mindful of how important it is to keep our pets comfortable.

“The warm and dry temperatures can be dangerous for our pets, so it is vital that you follow the advice for keeping your pets cool during these periods.

“Ensure they have access to lots of water and there are shaded areas where they can rest.

“Always keep a watchful eye on your pets and be responsible when exposing them to the conditions.”

Dog owners should only go on walks when it is cool, early morning and evening.

Do not walk any dog during the hottest hours of the days between 12pm-4pm.

Ensure your pooch is only doing light exercise only.

When playing with your furry friend allow lots of time for breaks in shade, provide water, and allow your dog to cool down.

Owners need to provide lots of shade and plenty of water.

Do not take your dog on unnecessary journeys. Never leave dogs in cars even if windows are open; a car will remain too hot for any pet.

Owners of breeds with flat-faced, overweight, giant-breed, thick-coated, very old and very young dogs must be extra cautious.

If you see an animal in trouble or distress, particularly in a car even if the window is open or in an outdoor area without shade or water, please contact the DSPCA on 01 4994700 or info@dspca.ie.

• 16-19 C Generally safe to exercise at all times of days. Dogs most at risk of heat stroke should only be lightly exercised in the cool parts of the days (early morning, late evening).

• 20-23 C No dog should be exercised rigorously. All exercise should take place during cool parts of the day. Play time should be short and have lots of time to cool down.

• 24-27 C Extreme caution should be taken. Exercise should only be extremely light and take place when the sun has set. Focus on giving your dog cooling treats, toys and plenty of opportunity to spend time in shade.

• 28-31 C Dangerous for all, but life threatening for larger breeds and puppies as well as dogs who are flat-faced or obese. Stay cool and in the shade with lots of water.

• 32 C Heat stroke is a major risk for all.

While 20°C may not seem overly hot, pets – especially dogs – can still struggle in the heat, particularly during exercise or if left in enclosed spaces like cars or conservatories.

Major airline launches new UK flights to popular African holiday destination – and breaks are just as cheap Spain

A MAJOR airline has launched new flights to a popular African holiday spot.

Starting next month, holidaymakers will be able to venture further afield and relax by the Indian Ocean for the same cost as a trip to Spain.

The new route will launch from Gatwick airport next month[/caption]

On 2 July 2025, Kenya Airways will debut three direct flights from London Gatwick to Nairobi meaning travellers will have two nonstop flight options into London.

The new Gatwick route will operate at night three times a week – on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – complementing Heathrow’s existing schedule.

And for just over £1,000 per person Brits can take advantage of Kenya’s stunning landscapes at the luxury hotel, Pinewood Resort and Spa set along the shores of Diani Beach, Papillon Lagoon Reef.

Nestled along the serene southern Mombasa coastline the resort overlooks the breathtaking Indian Ocean.

The hotel is advertised as an ideal escape for couples seeking romance or families in search of a quiet retreat.

It is fit with four eateries and three bars, as well as an on-site gym and tennis court.

The hotel also offers spa treatments and a personal chef to guests staying in the suite.

A week’s stay at the resort costs £1,189 including return flights and transfers. This is based on two sharing a deluxe room on a half board basis.

Bookings made before 30 June will receive a £150 discount.

This comes as Kenya was named as “one to watch” holiday destination by TUI.

Kenya is one of the few places in the world where holidaymakers can spot the big five in their native habitat.

There are other reasons to visit the East African nation, including its scenic coastline along the Indian Ocean, the cultures of its local tribes and its warm climate.

Neil Swanson, TUI UK&I Managing Director, said: “Kenya is an incredible destination offering breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich culture making it a truly unique place to explore.

“Since re-launching Kenya as a destination in 2023, it’s no surprise demand has been booming and continuing to soar.

“Our Highlights of Kenya tour has seen an outstanding +236 per cent uplift for Winter 2024/25 and +151 per cent for Summer 2025.

“Our new A Taste of Kenya Safari is already seeing strong sales for both seasons.

“This itinerary offers a more relaxed safari experience, with additional beach time to unwind at the end of the adventure.

“It’s clear customers have a real appetite for this destination, so we are currently exploring new ways to enhance our offering such as private safaris or immersive lodge experiences, so it’s definitely a destination to watch.”

Beachfront lido that’s free to use to close this summer ahead of major renovation

ONE of the UK’s best free lidos will close in the height of summer to undergo renovation works.

Shoalstone Seawater Pool has experienced cracking due to harsh tides and will be closed off to visitors in a matter of weeks.

Harsh waves have caused cracks in the wall[/caption]

Shoalstone Pool in Brixham announced in 2024 that it had received Government funding to go towards a £750,000 pool upgrade.

The pool’s managers said the work would include the reconstruction of the north west corner after waves crashing against the pool caused cracks to appear.

Sadly, work on the pool means that it will close to swimmers.

David Thomas, operations manager said: “We’ll be closing the pool in August for essential upgrades.

“Thanks to a government grant, we’ll be installing a new deep end, a raised deck, replacing railings, and reinforcing the walls to ensure safety for future generations.”

The website states that the pool could be closed off as soon as July to prepare for the repairs. An official date for the closure is yet to be announced.

The swimming pool is 53 metres long making it one of the largest tidal pools in the world and sits on the edge of Shoalstone Beach in Devon.

There is no entry charge, but they do ask for a voluntary donations.

It asks for donations of £3.50 per swim, or £8 per family to help cover running costs.

As well as regular swimming sessions, there are other activities like pooch-friendly swims, wellbeing days, fun days, twilight and night swims.

On the side, the pool offers sessions of yoga and tai chi. They also hold Santa Runs and Beer Festivals for the people of Brixham and Torbay.

The pool is tidal and relies on the sea to fill it, so it’s always best to visit in the hours either side of low tide during the summer months.

Shoalstone Pool is considered a gem for locals and visitors alike.

One visitors wrote on Tripadvisor: “This venue is truly unique. A beautiful, well cared for seawater pool. I have spent many sunny days swimming in the pool, as an adult and child.”

Another added: “Why doesn’t Brixham shout about this place? It’s awesome! We found out about it by accident, from someone in a shop. It’s a little further away from the harbour – but I always think the best places are the ones off the beaten track.”

A third said: “I had the best time in Shoalstone pool. So invigorating. Would definitely go again when next in beautiful Brixham. Easy to park and the views are amazing.”

Plus, here are the UK’s best outdoor water parks and lidos – as temperatures are set to rise over the weekend.

And another lido that’s set to reopen this summer after three years – and an £8.75 million upgrade.

It comes after the loved-up star revealed that he and his partner were moving into their new home.

The pair went public with their romance last summer with a sweet Instagram snap.

However, until now, Finn has kept her name a secret.

But The Sun can now reveal that the TV star is dating beautiful brunette, Jess Hale.

Finn’s mysterious girlfriend’s name was revealed after the Love Island hunk shared a link to their home renovations Instagram handle.

On there, the couple are following just five other handles – three are businesses and the other two are Finn and Jess.

The loved-up pair are now busy renovating their dream Victorian home together, and have finally moved in.

Sharing the moment on Instagram, Finn posted a slew of pics, including one of them holding their new set of house keys.

The reality star captioned the sweet snaps with: “We’re home owners!!

“Today we picked up the keys to our little Victorian home!

“We cannot wait to get started with the renovations and make it our own! We couldn’t be happier.”

MOVING ON

Love Island fans will remember hunky Finn bursting onto the scene in 2020, for the first ever winter version of the hit ITV2 dating show.

It was in the famous villa that he met his now ex-girlfriend, Paige.

The pair called time on their romance after three years, in 2023.

They were then reunited last year, when they both took part in Celebrity Ex On The Beach, in a bid to give things another go.

However, things took a turn shortly after filming wrapped.

Things turned nasty when it was revealed that MAFS Australia star Tamara slept with Finn the night before the MTV show’s launch party.

A source told The Sun at the time: “The cast was rocked by Finn and Tamara’s fling. They felt really uncomfortable for Paige who they’d grown close to.

“At the party, the girls sided with Paige and kept their distance from Tamara.

“Tamara was heard telling guests she was having a ‘miserable’ time and they were ‘all being so mean’.”

The 49p plant that keeps wasps away – it flowers until September & fills your garden with gorgeous fragrance

THERE’S nothing better than lying out in your garden and soaking up the sun.

And don’t worry if your space seems prone to wasps because a handy hack can help to repel them.

Lavender can help to naturally deter wasps from your garden all summer long (stock image)[/caption]

And since the current heatwave likely means more barbecues and garden get togethers, wasp season is officially here.

If you want to enjoy your summer drinks and al fresco dining without worrying about these buzzing pests, you can swap out a chemical spray for a natural deterrent.

With wasp populations increasing even further in July, now is the time to act.

Thankfully, one of summer’s most popular plants can double as a natural wasp repellent.

But you’ll want to get it in the ground now as once wasps beging building nests they become a lot more difficult to remove.

That’s when things get really costly, with professional removal fees reaching up to £241.

Liam Cleary, who works as an outdoor plants expert at Old Railway Line Garden Centre, revealed that planting lavender is a simple and affordable solution to your wasp problem.

“Wasps are highly sensitive to strong scents, and lavender is one they really don’t like,” he explained.

“Planting it near seating areas, doorways, or patios can help mask the smells that attract them, like food, sugary drinks, or perfumes.”

Lavender contains essential oils like linalool and camphor, which give it that distinctive floral smell.

And while this scent is pleasant to humans it can be overwhelming to wasps, which rely heavily on scent to detect food.

But don’t worry, pollinator insects will still be drawn to this garden plant.

And since lavender is drought-tolerant, you don’t have to worry about it in the summer heat.

You can pick up a pot of lavender for £6 from Ikea, or lavender seeds for as little as 49p can be found at The Range.

“It’s low maintenance, smells incredible, and keeps your garden feeling calm, all while helping you enjoy a wasp-free zone,” the expert added.

Keep pests out all summer

Hornets and wasps – hate the smell of peppermint oil so spraying this liberally around your patio or balcony can help to keep them at bay.

Moths – acidic household white vinegar is effective for deterring moths. Soak some kitchen roll in vinegar and leave it in your wardrobe as a deterrent.

Flying ants – herbs and spices, such as cinnamon, mint, chilli pepper, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cloves, or garlic act as deterrents.

Mosquitoes – plants, herbs and essential oil fragrances can help deter mossies inside and out. Try eucalyptus, lavender and lemongrass.

If you’re planning to add lavender to your outdoor space, choose a sunny spot.

Lavender loves full sun and well-drained soil, so avoid shaded or damp areas.

Be careful not to overwater as this can cause lavender to wilt or rot.

And if you’re particularly prone to wasp visits, try planting lavender alongside mint, thyme, or lemongrass for an extra layer of protection.

Wasps are known become more aggressive from late June into August as their colonies grow and natural food sources decline.

This makes them more likely to pester humans for sugary snacks and drinks so you may want to cover your food and drinks when enjoying time in the sun.

You can pick up a packet of lavender seeds for just 49p from The Range[/caption]

You should also avoid wearing bright clothing and strong perfumes if you want to steer clear of these stinging pests.

Finally, keep these insects away from your home by sealing your bins and compost this summer.

A 22p item from your kitchen cupboard can also help to repel wasps from your garden.

Another 10p hack can also keep the pests from your garden all summer long.

And you can also keep these insects from your home this summer with another handy trick.

Or you can use a natural ingredient to repel wasps from your garden on a budget.

An affordable bait method can also work in your favour when repelling pests.
