Emotional Brian Dowling admits ‘I was distraught’ as young daughter makes major milestone
AN emotional Brian Dowling has revealed he was “distraught” as his daughter Blake marked a major milestone.
The Six O’Clock Show host and his Dancing With The Stars judge husband Arthur Gourounlian share two kids together, Blake, 2 and 11-month-old Blu.

The pair often share snippets of their day-to-day lives with their little ones on social media.
Two-year-old Blake is gearing up to start play-school this year and both Brian and Arthur have been preparing her for the big change.
The couple brought Blake to her preschool for the very first time last month.
Brian took to Instagram today to share an update as the two-year-old brings her playschool journey to a close… for now.
The dad-of-two shared an adorable selfie of him and his little one both grinning wide.
The pair took the photo as Brian marked his last morning walk with Blake to playschool.
Sharing the photo with fans, Brian was clearly beaming with pride as he told Blake didn’t “shed one tear, kick up a fuss or ever refuse to go in any morning”.
He added: “And Just Like That, it’s the last school walk for Blake and me until September.
“Blake only started preschool 5 weeks ago as a little tester to see how things would go for her when she starts full time in September.”
He continued: “We started off slow and within 2 weeks she was ROCKING it from 08:30am – 12pm. I was absolutely distraught when she started, and many many tears were shed, but she has honestly shown me the way with all of this.
“Not even 3 years old yet and her determination and resilience are second to none. I’ve adored our walks to and from school over the past 2 weeks.
“I would carry her on my shoulders and we would play a game spotting all the red cars. Her little hand rubbing the side of my face. For now, we enjoy the Summer 2025 has to offer and September we got you.”
Friends and fans raced to the presenter’s comment section to gush over the heart warming post.
SUPER BLAKE
Brian’s husband, Arthur wrote: “It’s finally summer.”
Hannah comment: “Aw so cute! Enjoy the summer.”
Geraldine said: “Ahhhh she’s a happy confident little girl. Happy Holidays.”
Maeve remarked: “Adoooooores her Daddy, look at the joyous lil face! Soooooo cute.”
Another fan added: “Super job Blake.”

‘World class cooking’ – Flamengo brutally troll Chelsea with throwback video game reference after Club World Cup win
FLAMENGO couldn’t resist a cheeky throwback dig at Chelsea after the Blues’ Club World Cup collapse.
The Brazilian side recorded a 3-1 comeback victory in Philadelphia on Friday afternoon.

In-form Pedro Neto gave Chelsea the ideal start in the Group D clash, firing them ahead in the 13th minute.
But Enzo Maresca‘s side melted in the Philly heat after the break.
They conceded two quickfire goals to go behind, before Nicolas Jackson saw red for a horror lunge.
Wallace Yan secured the three points for the Brazilians with just seven minutes left on the clock.

And after the final whistle, Flamengo’s X account decided to go for the jugular.
The club’s official account wrote: “Easy win against London Blue!”
London Blue refers to Chelsea’s infamous name in the Pro Evolution Soccer video game series.
Japanese publisher Konami were unable to secure the license for Premier League teams, resulting in alternative names for the clubs and players in the popular game.

One fan laughed in response: “World class cooking honestly.”
Another said: “London Blue!!!!! LMAO.”
While a third chuckled: “Oi they’re calling them by their PES identity.”
And a fourth added: “Redefined the overrated league in the world.”
Maresca refused to defend Jackson after his reckless moment of madness on Friday.
The 24-year-old was sent off on his birthday – just FOUR minutes after entering the field as a sub.

Maresca told DAZN: “It was a red card. So nothing to say.
“Congratulations to them, they deserved to win.
“We tried to do something different, also for next season, for the future, but congratulations to them.
“I think they deserved it.”
Ex-police officer fired for ‘intimidating teenager’ helps tackle shoplifter

AN ex-police officer sacked for intimidating an arrested teen has brought down a shoplifter.
Former PC Lorne Castle tackled the crook as he fled a Nike store with stolen goods on Thursday.
The 46-year-old held his arms and kneeled astride him until ex-police pals arrived and arrested the alleged thief.
It was the same day the fight gym boss decided to appeal against a decision by Dorset police to fire him for using too much force as he tackled a knife-wielding 15-year-old last year.
The dad put his hand in the teen’s face and failed to show “respect”.
But the Nike store boss praised Lorne’s latest action in Bournemouth for being “extremely pleasant and courteous”.
Supporter Norman Brennan, a retired policeman, said: “It was a citizen’s arrest by the sort of officer the public wants.”
The father-of-three has had lots of public support since the misconduct hearing went against him.
A GoFundMe campaign to support him and his family has raised over £120,000.
Dorset Police was approached for comment.
