Love Island feud exposed as Toni hits out at ‘irritating’ star – and her partner has his head turned by coupled up star

A NEW Love Island feud has been exposed as Toni hits out at an “irritating” star.
On tonight’s Love Island viewers will watch things get tense as the US Islander starts to get annoyed.

Toni – who arrived as the first bombshell of the series – gets annoyed after hearing a conversation between Emily and Conor.
Fans will remember how the American stood aside so the pair could get to know each other.
However on tonight’s episode it’s revealed that Conor has set his sights set on someone else.
Viewers will get to watch the hunk reveal he has got his eye on Megan – who is coupled up with Tommy.
After telling Dejon about how he is feeling, he then goes and talks to Emily.
“As much as we’re going well, remember to not put too much pressure on it…” he tells her.
Emily agrees: “I don’t want you to think about the pressure, it’s getting better and better but I don’t want you to feel pressure.”
Conor then adds: “It’s not pressure from you it’s everyone else with the way they’re acting.”
Meanwhile, while the couple are chatting, Toni surprises Meg and Dejon with her thoughts on Emily and says: “I can’t stand to listen to her… ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ all the time.”
A stunned Meg asks: “In a good way?”
Toni replies: “I’m getting irritated with her.”
TENSE WEEK
Toni hasn’t had the easiest ride in the villa, and on Wednesday night she was almost dumped from the villa
New islander Harrison was faced with choosing between Toni and Malisha, after they both found themselves single in the latest recoupling.
They both then went on a date with Harrison, before he chose Toni, meaning Malisha went home.

Speaking about Harrison choosing Toni over her, Malisha said: “I thought, ‘You’re done, you’re getting dumped!’
“I didn’t obviously know there’d be a shock reveal that someone else would be coming in and I would have a second chance.
“All day me and Toni were joking, ‘I’ll see you in Vegas’. So I just thought, ‘Meh, bittersweet’.
“Did he make the right choice? We’ll soon find out…”
But Malisha added:
“But I love Toni, she is an amazing girl.
“I feel like we have the same banter and the same fierceness about us.
“I love how real she is, she’s such a lovely girl. So, no hard feelings, no bad blood.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Is it too hot to work? Irish worker rights in sweltering 29C heatwave & when you can legally go home as temps soar
IRELAND is basking in sizzling temperatures this week as temperatures look set to be hotter than the Canary Islands.
All eyes will be on the weather forecast over the coming days as Ireland’s temperatures hit up to a whopping 29C.

And the Meteorologist Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel revealed we will experience “very warm or hot weather” until Sunday, with today as the hottest day of the year so far.
While people are enjoying the heatwave, many workers will be sitting inside and looking longingly out their windows, with some wondering just how hot it has to be to be sent home from work.
With the current laws in Ireland, there isn’t a legally defined maximum temperature for offices.
But regulations state that despite the lack of hard rule on hot temperatures – it does not mean that “any temperature is acceptable”.
According to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, temperatures should be at least 17.5C or 16C if the work involves rigorous physical effort.
It also states that the temperature in rooms containing workstations should be appropriate for human beings, considering the working methods used and the physical demands placed on the employees.
The regulation also says: “The fact that a maximum temperature has not been specified in the Regulations does not mean that any temperature is acceptable.
“At high or uncomfortable temperatures, especially when not caused by temporary weather conditions, a means of cooling should be provided.”
Also under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, employers must ensure the safety of their staff members.
This act states that employers must “take reasonable care to protect his or her safety, health and welfare and the safety, health and welfare of any other person who may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at work”.
And health and safety regulations say employers should take efforts to keep excessive heat out of buildings that have windows.
They state: “Excessive heat from the sun shining through windows, skylights or glass partitions must be avoided.
“This can be achieved by various means including internal blinds, external blinds, use of low-emissivity glass, whitewashing of windows etc.”
HOT TIPS TO FOLLOW DURING HEATWAVE
Here are some hot tips that will help you stay cool and safe during the high temperatures in Ireland:
- Staying hydrated helps regulate body temperature and prevents heat-related illnesses.
- Taking breaks can help avoid overexertion and help the body cool down in shaded or air-conditioned areas.
- When outdoors, it is recommended to wear lightweight, breathable and loose-fitting clothing that allows better airflow while protecting your skin from harmful sun rays.
- Avoid activities during the hottest part of the day, which HSE reports to be midday.
- Stay alert to the signs of heat-related illnesses.
‘ALLEVIATE THE WORST EFFECTS’
According to the Irish Business and Employers’ Confederation, a representative group for Irish businesses, if companies put in the effort to try to bring down the heat, workers wouldn’t get a day off.
They said: “Where an employer is obviously sympathetic and tries to alleviate the worst effects of hot weather most employees should bear with temporary discomfort and continue working normally.
“Unless conditions are extreme, measures such as those outlined above should prevent any employees justifiably claiming that the company is in breach of its duty under the 2005 Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act.
“Any refusal by the employees to work would then place them in breach of their contracts of employment, which could lead, to loss of pay/disciplinary action.”
The employer should do a risk assessment if the majority of the workforce expresses complaints about hot temperatures.
According to the Health and Safety Authority, if the temperature starts to rise, companies should take action to cool the workplace.
Additionally, they advise businesses to loosen dress requirements, permitting employees to wear loose, light attire and to take off their jackets and ties.
However, if the employers fail to ensure the work environment is safe for the employees, they may face penalties, legal action, as it will increase the risk of workplace accidents and illnesses if not dealt with properly.
VITAL TIPS FOR WORK ENVIRONMENTS
Here are vital tips that will ensure employees and yourself to stay safe during the heatwave:
- Maintain positive management-employee relations by communicating clearly and reaching an agreement with staff over the necessary actions.
- Keep windows open, give fans, keep an eye on the air conditioner, and generally let fresh air flow around the office.
- Ensure there is a sufficient quantity of cold water on hand.
- If required, offer job rotation and suitable rest periods.
- Make sure outdoor employees understand the dangers of working in direct sunlight, wear the appropriate PPE, and use sunscreen as needed.
- For the comfort of employees, think about loosening the dress code in workplace settings.
- Make sure outdoor employees don’t use the high temps as an excuse to take off their steel-toed boots and hard hats, among other necessary safety gear.
SYMPTOMS OF HEAT-RELATED HEALTH ISSUES
Working during extreme temperatures can impact people’s health and prolonged exposure to such conditions can lead to serious issues.
When employees are exposed to hot weather for long periods, they are at risk of developing one of the many heat-related illnesses, including heat stress, heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
Heat stress occurs when the body cannot cool itself effectively, resulting in many symptoms, including heavy sweating, fatigue and discomfort.
Heat exhaustion is a serious condition that arises from long exposure to heat and inadequate fluid intake; if left untreated, it can lead to heatstroke.
The symptoms include heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, nausea and headaches.
Heatstroke is a severe condition that requires medical attention and it occurs when the body’s temperature regulation fails, leading to a rapid increase in body temperature.
Symptoms may include confusion, altered mental state, and loss of consciousness. If not caught in time, it can be life-threatening.
Mum caught committing sick act on her frail daughter, 3, as she lay in a hospital bed – & it exposed an even darker past
LYING in her hospital bed, three-year-old Alyssa was desperately ill – painfully thin and dehydrated, her little frame covered with tubes.
Her apparently doting mother Brittany Phillips sat by her side. But, when the nurses’ backs were turned, she did the most unspeakably depraved act to her defenceless little girl.

When no one was looking, Phillips smeared human faeces onto Alyssa’s feeding tube in a bid to make her MORE ill.
She was aping a case she read about online concerning Emily McDonald, a 23-year-old mother from Austin who, four months earlier, had been sentenced to 20 years in prison for poisoning her daughter by putting poo onto her IV catheter.
It was later revealed that Phillips had keyed in terms to her computer like ‘poo in the feeding tube’ and ‘pee in veins’.
Sick poisoning
Hours later, Alyssa developed a rare and extremely dangerous blood infection caused by her mother’s perverted act.
Without the swift actions of doctors at Cook Children’s Medical Centre – she could have suffered from heart failure, a stroke or even death.
And that was just the tip of the iceberg of the horrendous abuse Phillips had put her daughter through in her short life.
Phillips had insisted that Alyssa had to be in leg restraints for medical reasons.
She also said she needed to be fed by a tube as she choked if she ate solid food.
The little girl was emaciated and her growth stunted.
Several family members had been so concerned that they’d filed reports with the CPS in Fort Worth, Texas, but no action was taken.
Distant family members Bill and Laura Waybourn had been suspicious ever since they’d seen Alyssa at a family party a few months before.

They’d heard Phillips warn everyone that Alyssa couldn’t eat anything, if she did, she’d choke.
“We witnessed her eat a piece of cake and she didn’t choke at all. She appeared to be very hungry,” Waybourn said.
And his wife, a CPS worker “was suspicious”.
“She got a close-up look at Alyssa and felt like something wasn’t right. But nobody had any idea what was really going on behind the scenes, which was actually torturous,” he told The Daily Mail.
It transpires Phillips had Munchhausen by proxy – also known as medical child abuse – where a parent or care giver fakes, exaggerates and even causes illness in their child for the purpose of getting attention or some other benefit.
A later search of her laptop revealed pages and pages of online research into the illnesses and symptoms she then tried to manufacture in her defenceless young daughter.
It also showed her prolific activity on mums’ internet forums – where she catalogued Alyssa’s many ‘illnesses’ in a bid for sympathy.
The day that changed everything
In August 2011, a few weeks after that family party, Alyssa was taken to Cook’s hospital, where her mother told medics she had dehydration.
This was one of many hospital visits Alyssa had endured by the time she was three, so much so, she had spend much of her life in hospitals, and was worryingly underweight and short for her age.
Despite concerned friends and family filing several reports to CPS over the years, it was this hospital visit that set off alarm bells with medical staff.
During that day, Phillips repeatedly tried to stop Alyssa from eating, claiming she would choke, despite medical staff observing otherwise. She was aggressive and rude, and she piled blankets on her daughter then claimed she had a fever. She appeared to paint Alyssa’s mouth blue and then claimed she was alarmingly cold.
Then, Phillips suddenly demanded blood tests on her daughter.
The blood test results revealed a life-threatening infection that doctors said had to have been caused by the three-year-old being poisoned.
Medics feared Phillips was abusing her child, so moved Alyssa to another room which had surveillance cameras monitoring any activity inside.
Phillips quickly noticed the cameras and was furious. Alyssa, on the other hand, under the watchful eye of a camera, rapidly got better.
So much so, hospital staff alerted the authorities and Alyssa was taken out of Phillips’ care and an investigation was launched.
Following a brief period in foster care, the Waybourns took the little girl into their home, later adopting her.
In an interview, Bill Waybourn said they “saw tremendous improvements immediately” adding: “She started eating by mouth everything in sight. The doctors were blown away by how well she was doing.”
But over time, the Waybourns noticed trauma manifesting in Alyssa’s behaviour.
“She was really protective of her food. If she had a plate of food and got down from the table for a minute and came back and the plate was gone, she would be extremely upset,” Waybourn recalled.
“She also had a funny gait where she would walk on her toes. We had to coach her out of doing that, to walk on her whole foot.”
Alyssa’s reaction to medical staff and treatments was also telling.
British cases of Munchausen Syndrome revealed

In August 2016 a woman from south London has been jailed for fraud and child abuse after causing her children to undergo surgery for fictitious medical problems.
Croydon Crown Court heard the mother of six, who cannot be named for legal reasons, persuaded doctors to prescribe copious medication and provide equipment for her children worth more than £145,000, which – as they did not require it – was potentially dangerous for them, the prosecution said.
She also convinced them to perform invasive operations and insert feeding tubes into her son and daughter’s stomachs.
Serial killer nurse Beverly Allitt, dubbed the Angel of Death was given 13 life sentences in 1993 for murdering four children, attempting to murder another three and causing grievous bodily harm with intent to further six at Grantham and Kesteven hospital in Lincolnshire.
The former nurse was diagnosed as suffering from Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSbP) when she carried out the attacks between 1991 and 1993.
In January 2010, Lisa Hayden-Johnson was sentenced to three years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of child cruelty and perverting the course of justice – in one of the most notable examples of Munchausens by proxy.
Hayden-Johnson began her deceitful actions shortly after the birth of her son Matthew in 2001. Claiming he was afflicted with numerous severe health issues, including cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and severe food allergies, she subjected him to unnecessary medical procedures and interventions. These included the use of a wheelchair, feeding tubes, and numerous hospital visits, totalling over 325 medical encounters.
“If you took her to a doctor or a paediatrician – even for something small like an earache – she would just totally freeze up,” he said.
“Those were all things we saw in the beginning. That went on for a long time.”
Waybourn says a ‘big fear’ for him and Laura was that Phillips would try to regain custody of Alyssa.
Terrifyingly she was allowed to visit at the beginning – up until the time Alyssa developed a rash after her mother had given her new toys.
The Waybourns were sure she had put a substance on them to cause it. After that she wasn’t allowed to see her.
Over the years Alyssa has told her adopted parents some of what she endured.
She confided that her mother used to pull her feeding tube in and out.
She also coached her to choke in the doctor’s surgery.
In 2015, aged seven, she testified against her mother in court.
Cuddling a teddy bear, she raised her T-shirt to reveal the physical evidence of her mother’s torture – a scar on her stomach from unnecessary surgery to insert the feeding tube.
Mental scarring
No one will ever know the extent of the mental scarring.
Despite her mother’s actions though, Alyssa, who’s now 17, is flourishing.
“Alyssa is not a victim,” Waybourn says. “She is a thriving little woman and I couldn’t be more proud of her.”
Phillips’ original court case was declared a mistrial. But soon after, in exchange for a five-year prison sentence, Phillips pleaded guilty to serious bodily injury to a child.
In April 2022, a couple of years after she was released from prison, Phillips was found dead from an apparent overdose.
According to Waybourn, Alyssa was initially teary. She went for some time alone in her room, and then when she came out she said: “I’m free, free at last.”
Finally she knew that her mother could never hurt her again.
Alyssa’s story is told in a book by Andrea Dunlop and Mike Weber entitled The Mother Next Door: Medicine, Deception and Munchausen by Proxy.
Mike Weber, a now-retired Tarrant County investigator worked on Phillips’ case.

Rock legend ‘gives away’ he’s Glastonbury’s mystery performer as he flies into UK days before festival
GLASTONBURY fans have gone wild after one mega music star dropped a huge hint that he’s headed to the festival.
The American musician has flown in to the UK just days before this year’s Glastonbury gets underway at Worthy Farm.

Fans are convinced he will be making a ‘surprise’ appearance at the huge music event – especially as he has done it before.
Dave Grohl, 56, has sent fans into a spin after posing for a photo with US singer Amanda Palmer at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Amanda was backstage at a gig by rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs when she bumped into the Foo Fighters legend.
After grabbing Dave for a photo, she shared it on social media and told her followers: “Well I’ll be damned. Not who I expected to run into backstage at the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s show in London tonight, but look, it’s Dave Grohl.
She added: “We shared a sweet conversation mostly singing the cosmic praises of Melissa auf der Maur, whose magnificence truly obscures both of us.
“It was really nice to meet you, Dave.”
Writing on Reddit, fans have been quick to make the connection between Dave’s trip to London and next week’s Glastonbury Festival.
In 2023, a mystery act called The Churn Ups caused a stir when they featured on the Pyramid Stage bill.
Fans went into a frenzy trying to work out who the band was, before they were eventually unmasked as The Foo Fighters.
Starting a new thread on Reddit, music fans are now convinced Dave will be making another surprise appearance at Glastonbury.
One wrote: “Dave Grohl is in London, likely will be at the festival. Has done bits with John Fogerty in the past and other acts. Surely will be popping up at places this year?”
Another replied: “Drumming for Alanis Morrisette possibly? Tribute for Taylor Hawkins?”
And a third added: “100% will be milling about – I’d say a couple of guest appearances are a safe bet. Maybe Alanis for a song or Neil Young for an encore.”
The Foo Fighters’ surprise Glastonbury set in 2023 was the first time the band had been at the festival since headlining in 2017.
It was also their first major gig in the UK following the death of the band’s drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away in March 2022 aged 50.
Taylor had joined The Foo Fighters in 1997 and, prior to that, was the drummer on Alanis Morrissette’s tour.
Canadian musician Alanis is listed to perform on the Pyramid Stage at 6.15pm next Friday (June 27), which would be the perfect time for Dave to appear.
Other headliners this year include The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Doechii and The Prodigy.
Glastonbury 2025 - confirmed acts so far

TICKETS to the 2025 festival sold out in just minutes before some of the acts were even confirmed. Here is who has been confirmed so far.
Confirmed headliners:
- The 1975 will take to the Pyramid Stage on Friday.
- Neil Young will headline the festival for the second time after his last set in 2009 on Saturday after RAYE makes her return.
- Charli xcx will headline the Other Stage on Saturday night.
- On Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo is due to belt out her hits for her first appearance while Rod Stewart will perform in the legends slot.
- More acts to appear on the Other Stage include Loyle Carner and The Prodigy.
- Doechii will make her Glastonbury debut on the West Holts Stage on Saturday night.
- Other names confirmed include Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Busta Rhymes, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Myles Smith, En Vogue, Amaarae, Cymande, Shaboozey, Osees and Gary Numan.
Rod Stewart will also be performing in the Legends slot, having previously headlined at Worthy Farm 23 years ago.
This week, the rock icon revealed in an interview how much he is being paid to perform this year – and how much he is set to lose.
Rod told the Radio Times: “It was about eight months ago when I was asked to do it, maybe a little longer. But it didn’t fit with my schedule because I’ve got to bring everybody back from America.
“It’s going to cost me £300,000 to do it and they only pay you about 120,000 quid. So it’s going to cost me.”

EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley looks slimmer than ever after dramatic five stone weight loss
EASTENDERS’ Lorraine Stanley looks slimmer than ever after undergoing a dramatic five stone weight loss.
Lorraine, 48, who recently hit out at fab jab claims, put on a jaw-dropping display in a tie-dye grey dress with her 10-year-old daughter, Nancy.

The mother-daughter-duo busted some moves to a song set to slow motion in their kitchen in an Instagram Story.
Lorraine, who shares Nancy with her partner Mark Perez, flashed a beaming smile while dancing away with the sprog.
The soap star has been putting her new physique on full display in recent times.
Just last month, she sported a slimming flower print crop top and trousers combo as she partied the night away at a special bingo event.
Underneath the tied top, she donned a skin-tight white vest which only emphasised her tiny waist.
For shoes, Lorraine opted for complimentary open-toe leather platform strapped heels for the occasion.
Alongside flaunting her physique, the star also opened up on a huge new milestone in her life.
She captioned the snap: “5 months sober & still had a good night dancing! #Sobriety.”
The TV star also told how her changing figure was not down to popular weight loss jabs like Ozempic or Mounjaro.
Instead, Lorraine opted for a gastric sleeve operation.
One inquisitive fan on TikTok asked for Lorraine’s secret, to which she simply answered back in the comments: “Gastric sleeve.”
A gastric sleeve is a weight loss procedure that removes a significant portion of the stomach, creating a smaller, sleeve-shaped pouch.
The actress was written out of Eastenders in 2023 after seven years on the show in a huge shock to fans.
Her character’s axing was as part of a shock cast shake-up and her final scenes were aired in December of that year.
She went onto reprise her fan-favourite role a number of times in 2024 before her last episode hit BBC screens in June.

‘This made me howl’, cry fans as Ireland AM hosts try out hysterical TikTok trend outside studio
IRELAND AM hosts have left their viewers in stitches after they attempted a viral TikTok trend.
The hit breakfast show was back on air yesterday with usual presenters Muireann O’Connell, Alan Hughes and Tommy Bowe.

The dynamic trio are renowned for their shared sense of humour and cheeky on-screen banter.
Yesterday, Muireann and Alan had a great time outside the Virgin Media studio as they joined in with a popular TikTok trend.
The trend suggested that doing a silly, horse-like walk can lead to unexpectedly great candid photos — and they couldn’t resist giving it a try.
Muireann and Alan linked arms as they galloped around the Virgin Media parking lot.
The hosts were in fits of laughter as they realised how hilarious they looked doing the ridiculous walk.
But, in the end, the pair were speechless when they ended up getting some gorgeous photos of themselves.
Muireann looked beautiful prancing in her white cream skirt and beaming from ear to ear.
While Alan lovingly looked over at Muireann and smiled.
The official Ireland AM page posted the hysterical video with the caption: “Wait… could this replace our morning photo posts? How did we do?”
And fans were all left laughing at the stars’ humorous clip as they reacted in the comments section.
Christine wrote: “Love this trend so much haha.”
Olive said: “You two are priceless. Very funny.”
Norma added: “That made me howl!”
While Mag remarked: “You guys are just so funny. You make my day.”
And Maura gushed: “Love these two gems… great friendship.”
This comes after an Ireland AM guest made a witty remark on air after Alan Hughes’ cheeky comments.
NO BUN INTENDED
Baker Corinna Camerino joined the presenters on set in the Virgin Media studio to cook up a storm.
Teasing the cooking segment, Tommy said: “Now Alan is in the kitchen. What’s on the menu, Alan?”
The Ballyfermot native replied: “I am indeed. Tommy, how’s your buns?”
The former rugby star was surprised by the question and he stuttered as he answered: “Eh… they’re tasty.”
Alan went on to say: “Because we’ve got something fluffy and good baking in the kitchen this morning. Yes, we’re doing lovely buns.”
She quickly added: “G-rated sour cream cardamom buns.”
Alan looked puzzled as he asked: “What’s G-rated?”
Corinna said: “It’s for the general population. It’s nothing like sexy puns about buns. G-rated.”
Alan was in fits of laughter at her hit back and said: “You’ve told me, girl. You’ve told me!”
