Dua Lipa shocks fans by bringing 90s singer on stage as she stuns in diamonte bodysuit in front of star-studded crowd

DUA Lipa gave her fans a surprise by bringing a 90s band on stage in front of a star-studded crowd.

The singer, 29, stunned in a diamonte bodysuit as she performed at Wembley Stadium.

However, Dua’s fans were in for a total shock when she brought out legendary 90s band Jamiroquai.

Formed in 1992, vocalist Jay Kay, 55, fronts the acid jazz and funk band.

Jay arrived wearing a black hat with purple trim, purple trousers and white fringe jacket.

One fan wrote online: “She brought out Jamiroquai! She did that for me.”

Another shared: “Just saw Dua Lipa bring Jamiroquai out at Wembley. Some month and I haven’t even got to glasto yet.”

It comes as Dua has emulated her idol Madonna by playing the iconic venue aged just 29.

Dua‘s first UK gig was at a 375-people capacity venue in Hackney nine years ago.

She is the same age as Madonna was when she headlined Wembley in 1987 as part of her Who’s That Girl Tour.

Just five other women — Beyonce, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adele and Pink — have headlined the venue.

Only Swift and Rihanna were younger than Dua, both performing there aged 28.

An insider told The Sun: “Playing Wembley is a dream come true for Dua and to sell out both nights feels incredible. She’s not even at the peak yet and has so much more she wants to achieve.

“To be headlining stadiums with just three albums under her belt proves how influential her music has been. Her world tour has been a huge success. She’s on cloud nine.”

Elsewhere, Lidl has recreated Dua Lipa’s viral pickle and jalapeño juice Cola drink.

The superstar previously divided fans after sharing her unusual recipe on TikTok.

At the time, celebrities like Gordon Ramsay and Prue Leith even tried the concoction for themselves.

In a post that received over 11.5K views Gordon mixed Dua Lipa‘s recommended spicy ingredients in with his Diet Coke, and took a large sip – only to end up spitting it out in disgust.

Dua Lipa, for God’s sake, girl!” he shouted while coughing.

Dua Lipa's love life: A history

Who has Dua Lipa dated in the past?

Isaac Carew

Dua dated the British model and chef twice. The started dating in 2015 before splitting up two years later due to scheduling issues. They rekindled their romance in 2018 before splitting for good a year later.

Paul Klein

After she broke up from Isaac in 2017, she embarked on a new relationship that same year with the musician. They broke up after just five months of dating in 2018.

Anwar Hadid

One of her most high-profile relationships was with Anwar Hadid, brother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid. Although they quarantined together during the COVID-19 Pandemic they called it quits in 2021 as Dua wanted to focus on being single

Jack Harlow

In December 2022, it was claimed that both of the music pairing were ‘hanging out’ together. Although after a few months it seemed that the relationship fizzled out.

Romain Gavras

The French director was first linked to Dua back in 2023 when they were seen in London leaving the BAFTA Awards afterparty together in February. They later walked the red carpet together at the Cannes Film Festival in May. They were later pictured together over the summer that year in July and August as they celebrated his birthday. She has since deleted mentions of him off of her Instagram.

Callum Turner

In January 2024, Callum celebrated the release of his Apple TV+ series, Masters of Air. The pair were spotted together at the afterparty of the premiere in Los Angeles. They were then spotted getting close on a number of dates. Insiders since revealed that the duo have travelled together and have met each other’s families. The pair then became more public with their relationship before rumours circulated of an engagement over the festive period. The singer appeared to confirm the news on social media, posting a photo with her huge ring in plain sight.

“You’ll ruin your vocal cords, s***,” the restaurateur warned to the singer before ending the video.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV, Prue’s verdict was: “The drink was ‘far too sweet'”.

Continuing, the Bake Off judge added she “liked the jalapenos”, but thought it could be improved with “a little bit of vinegar” to balance flavourss.

SERAPH GABRIEL (5.35 Royal Ascot, nap)

He got off the mark at Lingfield on his second run before finishing his juvenile campaign with a short-head second in good company at Redcar. Trainer Ralph Beckett brought him back for his handicap debut in the competitive Esher Cup at Sandown in late April. He looked well and travelled sweetly before just being edged out in the closing stages. That was over a mile and he gives the strong impression that this longer trip will be ideal.

ARAMRAM (5.00 Royal Ascot, nb)

He has looked better than ever this season and followed to fine Newmarket seconds with a cosy win at Newbury last time. The official margin was a length but he was coasting in the closing stages and could have made it a lot more. The handicapper has been more than fair with a 4lb rise in the weights and the booking of Moore for Richard Hannon’s flyer is the cherry on top.

MOMENTS OF JOY (2.30 Royal Ascot, treble)

‘The Lads’ of Ballydoyle have been hoovering up the juvenile races all week and can add the Chesham to their tally. This Justify colt took the Leopardstown maiden as last year’s winner Bedtime Story last time.

‘Looks like a Wetherspoons plate’ slam bemused Reading fans as new football kit is unveiled

FOOTIE fans say their team’s new home shirt is driving them pottery — because it looks like a Wetherspoon pub plate.

League One club Reading unveiled its kit for the 2025/26 season to the bemusement of some supporters yesterday.

The traditional blue hoops with a white background on the jersey now have a swirly pattern.

It is meant to resemble a biscuit tin in a nod to the Berkshire town’s rich trade in the snacks.

The club was previously nicknamed The Biscuitmen before becoming known as The Royals.

But some smart cookies online say it looks more like the crockery from the popular pub chain.

The price takes the biscuit as well, with the adults kit costing £103 altogether — £58 for the top, £30 for shorts and £15 for socks.

For children, it is £48, £25, and £15 respectively — a total of £88.

But supporters of the club, founded in 1871, seemed to be more concerned about the look of the shirts — modelled on Instagram by new signing Paudie O’Connor and by supporters in a club video.

One fan online quipped: “Looks like a Wetherspoons plate.”

Another agreed: “Wetherspoons plate kit.”

A third said: “We don’t want to look like biscuits tins…not my cup of tea.”

Royals fan Matt Wilkinson commented: “Let’s hope we can do our talking on the pitch in this kit — rather than being mocked off of it for looking like a dog’s dinner — served on a Spoons’ plate.”

One football fan added: “Looks like my nan’s wallpaper in the 70s.”

Others said the jersey resembled a festive sweater, with one quipping: “What in the Christmas kit is this?”

But in a jokey reference to classier tablewear collections, Tom argued: “If some trendy team like Venezia or Versailles came out with this, it would be lauded as one of the best shirts of the season. I think it’s spectacular!”

Luke Humphries has say on ‘fartgate’ in message to rival James Wade after Players Championship darts win

JAMES WADE has proved that flatulent glee gets you everywhere – after the jubilant ‘Fartgate’ flinger won the support of Luke Humphries.

The Machine shrugged off controversy over his loud and less than proud intervention against Peter Wright by winning the Players Championship 19.

Wade trumped Scott Williams in the final to move back up to World No. 8.

The English oche ace was so overjoyed to be on-song after his pong that he posted a message on X.

And he got a surprise reply from Cool Hand – offering him congratulations, albeit with a twist.

Wade, 42, wrote: “Good Morning everyone. Wow!! I’m over the moon you can’t believe.

“I played well in all games this week and last night was the high I’ve been aiming for!! Celebrations all round.

“As always, thank you to all my supporters and the kind comments.

“Thank you to my sponsors and management team!””

World No.1 Humphries quickly pinged the pong-row flinger a mischievous response.

The 2024 Ally Pally king said: “Great farts mate!! I mean ‘Darts.”

Fans, however, managed to be even less subtle with their rip-ostes.

One wrote: “You have blown all your opponents away, the smell of success is strong when your on stage.”

Another added: “Must be great to let off a bit if steam, although Peter Wright might not agree.”

The farting furore exploded live on TV during Players Championship 17 when Wade let rip during a 6-5 victory over Wright.
Snakebite might be better suited to dealing with stings than stinks – but he initially laughed it off.

Referee Owen Binks then reminded the players that “this is a streamed match, guys”.

Wade suggested his Scottish opponent “Give it a second” before he returned to the oche.

But Snakebite appeared to believe that time period was a clear under-estimate.

Meanwhile, Wade merely got better as the week wore on – at darts, that is – peaking with the PC19 crown.

Yet incredibly it’s the second time he’s been caught in a storm of his own brewing.

That blast from the past was at the Players Championship last September when he blamed the noise on velcro from his new trainers.

Met Eireann confirm hottest day of the year with Roscommon warmer than Ibiza as temperature hit sweltering 29C highs

IRELAND experienced hotter temperatures than Ibiza today, as bosses confirm it was the hottest day of the year.

The north and west of the country saw the hottest temperatures today.

The mercury hit a high of over 29C in the west, making it the hottest of the summer and year so far.

Roscommon was hotter than Ibiza today, reaching 29.6C in Mount Dillon.

The holiday hotspot Ibiza only saw highs of 27C today.

Finner station in Donegal clocked highs of 28.97C, while Dublin saw maximum temperatures of 24C.

Mayo and Galway both saw highs of 26C.

The 29C temperatures are hotter than average for June, though it’s not a record-breaking high.

The highest ever temperature recorded in June was 33.3C in Kilkenny back in 1887.

Beaches all across the country were packed with people enjoying the hot weather.

But unfortunately, according to Met Éireann forecaster Mark Bowe it’s not set to stay.

He said: “We didn’t reach the warmest ever temperature in June. It was still a couple degrees off that.

“And unfortunately, the temperature is actually due to fall back a little bit on Saturday, and then again on Sunday, so that kind of the end of it, I’m afraid.

“On Saturday low pressure will become more of a feature. It’ll start to move in over the country, essentially pushing from the West.

“We are going to see some more showers pushing in. There will still be some sunshine in there, especially in eastern parts of the country, but we will see some showers and generally more cloud around.

“On Sunday, we’ll see more of a regime change. We have a westerly flow, bringing in good scattering of showers and some cooler temperatures.

“I’m afraid that kind of unsettled pattern will actually continue into next week as well. So from Monday onwards, it’s going to stay rather unsettled with spells of rain and showers at times, and generally, some cooler temperatures.”

Saturday will be warm with good sunny spells for most of the country and slightly cloudier conditions in the west.

But scattered showers will move in across the country, some heavy and possibly thundery at times.

And a heavier band of rain will move in off the Atlantic later Saturday night, bringing longer spells of rain.

ACTRESS Helen Flanagan has slashed more than £300,000 off the price of the house she shared with ex Scott Sinclair.

The former Coronation Street star, 34, put the six-bedroom property on the market last month for £1.5million.

But the detached, 5,000sq ft home — where she lived with footballer Scott, 36, before their break-up in 2022 — is now on offer for £1,195,000.

The couple, who have three children together, bought the property at Belmont, near Bolton, in June 2021 for £840,000.

It has five reception rooms, six bathrooms and six bedrooms including two en-suites.

The house is situated on the edge of moors and is said to have “breathtaking views”.

Helen, who was with Bristol Rovers winger Scott for 13 years, was photographed at Royal Ascot this week.

In January, she received a six-month driving ban after her Audi Q7 was caught speeding twice in 16 days — at 42mph in a 30 zone then 51mph in a 40.

She was also fined £2,000 at Wirral magistrates court.

This week, Helen confidently clapped back at mum-shamers after being brutally trolled for posing in sexy lingerie.

Just days after the 34-year-old actress posed in a sheer corset, thong, fishnet stockings and suspenders, the mum-of-three has now responded to haters who slammed her as “embarrassing.”

The newly-single and self-proclaimed “sexy boss b**ch” found herself at the centre of a barrage of abuse from trolls, slamming her for sharing revealing pictures considering she’s got three children.

Two ‘challenging’ rescue ops at ‘rocky locations’ off Dublin coast as 3 kids cut off by tide & teen falls from cliffs

HOWTH RNLI crews were involved in major multi-agency responses with two cliff rescues yesterday.

The volunteer crew from Howth RNLI launched the inshore lifeboat just before 4.30pm yesterday.

This was in response to reports of three children being cut off by the tide near Lion’s Head.

This popular swimming spot is located on the south side of the Howth peninsula near the Bailey Lighthouse.

The RNLI noted that sea conditions were moderate with fresh south-easterly winds.

The lifeboat launched with three crew members on board, and headed to the scene.

Responders included The Howth Coast Guard Unit and Coast Guard Rescue 116 helicopter.

The lifeboat was on the scene 10 minutes later, and the team located two teenagers stranded on the cliff.

The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Dublin co-ordinated the rescue.

They requested the lifeboat to remain on standby while efforts were made to recover one of the injured teenagers.

While on scene, the lifeboat was diverted by the MRCC Dublin to another emergency close by.

A teenager had fallen from the cliffs at White Water Brook – a remote beach below cliffs on the eastern side of the peninsula.

They were on scene within five minutes, where beachgoers showed them to the casualty.

He had fallen around six metres onto the rocks at the water’s edge, suffering multiple lacerations and suspected fractures.

A second teenager had entered the water to assist him and held him steady on a rock until help arrived.

The lifeboat was moved as close to the scene as possible, and two crew members got onto the shore.

They made their way across the rocks to the injured teen, along with a member of the Howth Coast Guard team.

And the Howth All-Weather lifeboat was launched to provide further assistance.

The casualty was immediately moved by helicopter, due to the swiftly rising tide.

Rescue 116 deployed its winchman, who assessed the teen’s injuries.

‘CHALLENGING AFTERNOON’

The teams then secured him in a rescue harness before the helicopter winched the casualty and winchman to safety.

The second teenager showed signs of hypothermia, and was assisted across the rocks.

He was brought on board the inshore lifeboat, transferred to the all-weather lifeboat and was then taken back to Howth Lifeboat Station.

He was then handed into the care of an ambulance crew and transported to hospital.

Speaking after the callout, Killian O’Reilly, Helm of the inshore lifeboat, said: “This was a challenging afternoon with two serious incidents in quick succession, both in difficult, rocky locations. On a sunny summer’s day, it’s easy to underestimate the risks around the coastline – but the sea and cliffs can be unforgiving.

“The teamwork shown between the RNLI, Coast Guard units, and Rescue 116 was exceptional and ensured the best possible outcome in tough circumstances.”

He also shared a warning to those planning to spend time at the beach during this hot spell.

‘BE AWARE OF THE DANGERS’

He added: “During this spell of hot weather, we are urging everyone to be aware of the dangers and to know what to do should you find yourself in difficulty in the water. Air temperatures may feel warm, but water temperatures are cold enough year-round to trigger cold-water shock.

“If you get into difficulty, remember Float to Live: tilt your head back, with your ears submerged. Relax and try to breathe normally. Move your hands and legs to help you stay afloat.

“Once you’ve regained control of your breathing, you can call for help or swim to safety.

“If you or someone else gets into difficulty near the coast, don’t hesitate – call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.”

Musical Evita facing growing controversy after multiple members of the public fall ill

THE latest performance of West End musical Evita is facing a growing controversy.

On Thursday evening two ambulances raced to The London Palladium after multiple members of the public fell ill – with one being whisked to hospital.

Large crowds of up to 200 people gathered outside the venue for hours to see actress Rachel Zegler, 24, perform Don’t Cry For Me Argentina from the balcony.

But as the country baked in blistering heat members of the public struggled to cope resulting in emergency services being called just minutes before Rachel was due to belt out the hit.

A source said: “As word spreads more and more people are flocking to the Palladium to see Rachel’s performance and it’s turning into a bit of a nightmare.

“Crowd control is bad enough on the public street but with the heat it’s becoming really dangerous.

“Ambulances were parked outside the venue for almost an hour before racing to the hospital just minutes before Rachel appeared.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.16pm yesterday to reports of a person unwell in Argyll Street, central London.

“We sent two ambulance crews to the scene.

“While treating the patient, our crews were called to help a second person who was unwell nearby.

“One patient was taken to hospital and the second was given medical advice and discharged at the scene.”

Hung jury in trial of Dublin firefighter accused of raping US woman in Boston on St Paddy’s weekend as new date set

A US judge has declared a mistrial in a case involving Dublin firefighter Terence Crosbie, who is accused of rape.

Mr Crosbie is accused of raping a 29-year-old attorney in a Boston hotel room over St Patrick’s Day weekend in 2024.

He was sharing the room with his colleague Liam O’Brien, both of whom had travelled over as part of a group of firefighters to participate in the Boston parade.

Mr Crosbie was arrested on March 16, 2024 and was on trial this week for the alleged offence.

He has been held at the Nashua Street jail in Boston since his arrest.

However, the jury of eight men and four women were unable to reach a verdict after four days and 22 hours of deliberation.

As they returned to the court room today the judge declared the jury as “hung”.

Judge Sarah Ellis said: “I declare that this jury is deadlocked and I declare a mistrial.”

Both the woman and Mr Crosbie testified over the five-day trail.

The 29-year-old attorney alleges she met Liam O’Brien in a bar on March 14 and returned to the hotel room where they had consensual sex.

However, she claims after they fell asleep in separate beds she woke up as a man she did not know was raping her.

Liam O’Brien remained asleep and was snoring at this stage.

The trial heard CCTV shows Mr Crosbie enter the hotel room and the woman leave 20 minutes later.

The woman also alleges the man told her: “I know you want this. [Mr O’Brien] can’t even do this for you – what a loser.”

Mr Crosbie denies the charge and said that he had no sexual contact with the woman and that he “didn’t touch” her.

DNA evidence collected from the woman did show two samples the court heard.

However, analysts were unable to determine whether the second sample belonged to Mr Crosbie.

He testified in court: “There was nobody in my bed. My bed was empty.”

He also said “loser” was not a common Irish term and he would not have said it.

A new trial date has been set for October 14 and bail was increased from $10,000 to $50,000 after the judge deemed the accused to be a flight risk.
