CHELSEA are getting ready to take on Palmeiras in the Club World Cup quarter-finals!
The Blues are aiming to pick up the title for the second time in their history, with the first coming back in 2021.
They will clash Palmeiras, a team that boasts future Blue Estevao, who is joining the London outfit following the conclusion of the Club World Cup.
Enzo Maresca’s side saw off Benfica 4-1 in their round of 16 clash, with a nearly TWO-hour rain delay almost putting a halt to the game.
Chelsea registered a handful of new additions to their side ahead of the tournament Stateside, with Liam Delap registering a goal and an assist so far for the Blues.
The latest signing has seen Joao Pedro move to the Blues from Brighton for £50million plus £5m in add-ons.
The new signing said: “I grew up watching the Premier League, and Chelsea were a club that won trophies.
“So, when you join Chelsea, you can only think one thing: to win trophies.
“Every competition, you have to think, ‘I play for Chelsea and that is my ambition’.
“I’m close a little bit to David Luiz. I spoke to him, not about Chelsea, but about my career and how I could develop better. He helped me.”

Yes, Joao Pedro will be available for Enzo Maresca to use in the Club World Cup.
The deadline for registration was July 3 – two days prior to Chelsea’s clash with Palmeiras.
The Blues completed his £50million transfer ahead of the deadline, and as a result, he is available against the Brazilian giants.
However, if Chelsea were to complete a deal for Jamie Gittens in the coming days he would not be available – he has already competed in the tournament with Borussia Dortmund.
