BOMB squad teams were scrambled to a Scots car park after an unexploded ordnance device was discovered.
Mercy crews raced to the Asda Superstore on Edgar Road in Elgin, Moray, after the alarm was raised around 12:35pm today.
The area was locked down as emergency services worked to make the scene safe.
A cordon remains in place this afternoon and cops say Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.35pm on Wednesday, 12 March, 2025, we were called to a report of an old unexploded ordnance device found in the Edgar Road area of Elgin.
“A cordon is in place around the area as a precaution and EOD have been informed.”
