Biggest Dragon Ball DAIMA Plot Hole Opens the Doors for a Frieza-Cell Fusion

When Dragon Ball DAIMA was announced, the fandom was excited, as the series was the last project that Akira Toriyama was working on before he tragically passed away. However, the fans have vehemently hated the series, following its snail-paced plot and unwanted characters that merely overcrowded the scenes.

To divide the ardent fans even more, the series finally bridged the gap with Dragon Ball GT, making SSJ4 canon. What flabbergasted them to their core was Vegeta finally receiving his Super Saiyan 3 form. These scenes are indeed memorable and became key highlights of the show.

However, these very scenes overshadowed one key detail that holds the door open for a fusion that keeps the options limitless.

Dragon Ball DAIMA opened the door for the most electrifying fusion

It comes as no surprise that fusion has always played a prominent role in turning the tide in a battle. From the very first appearance of Gogeta in the non-canon film, DBZ: Fusion Reborn to the reappearance of Vegito in Dragon Ball Super. Fans are always in for some iconic fusion by Akira Toriyama that gracefully combines the traits and powers of the two characters, bringing forth a persona that can be a walking force of nature.

However, DAIMA had teased long before how they were going to their original roots, adding more substance that goes beyond fighting. This includes a theory stating how a new fusion would appear in the future, despite its convoluted time period.

Fans who have watched DAIMA would remember how in the fourth episode of the show titled Chatty, it was shown how Kakarot bought a few special bugs that can be used to fuse two or more people together. The Third Demon Realm featured these pots of special Join Bugs.

This has led fans to presume that another yet iconic fusion is on the way in another canon series. It is normal to assume that the two Saiyans would receive another power-up. However, what would pique the interest of the fans is that two of Goku’s old foes receive this unique powerup, namely Frieza and Cell, or Celluza/Friell.

This would draw in a massive crowd because, for once, the villains would be the ultimate threat that would make the viewers sit at the edge of their seats, biting their nails in anticipation. Thus, making fans wonder if the Saiyans and the Z-Warriors can pull off another secret technique that can save the day.

Why does the Frieza-Cell fusion sound so exciting?

The belief of villains becoming a walking calamity in Dragon Ball would be another exciting decision that would once again make the franchise all the more popular. The potential fusion between the two villains would not only invite chaos but also reimagine the limits of their powers.

If Cell and Frieza were given the opportunity to fuse, they would become a force of nature that oozes power, making them nearly unstoppable. Ardent fans know that Frieza’s ruthless and cunning persona fused with Cell’s adaptability and Saiyan DNA, with Piccolo’s cells would be the perfect villain that creates a villain that has never been shown before in the evergreen franchise.

To add to the thrill, these two villains are the most popular antagonists that have remained close to the fans, adding a new depth to their villainous legacy.

Dragon Ball DAIMA can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
