‘I’m his perfect target’ – Piers Morgan challenges Jake Paul and brother Logan to fight with him and MMA star

PIERS MORGAN has challenged Jake Paul to a boxing fight while his brother Logan takes on an MMA star.

The journalist clashed with Paul during an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored last week.

The argument caused the Problem Child to storm out of the interview, in which he was wearing a sombrero.

Morgan has now challenged Paul to fight following a few months of training in boxing.

During an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored on YouTube with MMA star Dillon Danis he called out the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

He said: “I’ve been doing boxing training now for a few months.

“I’m in his right age wheelhouse, I’m 60 years old with zero professional boxing experience, so I’m pretty much his perfect target for his next fight.

“I think we should suggest a double header – you have the re-match with Logan, which would be the real fight between two proper fighters.

“I will take on Jake Paul, in a pay-per-view to end all pay-per-views.

“I fancy my chances, I honestly would.”

Danis joked back: “I do too, but don’t think you’re old enough for him.”

Morgan has since doubled down on the challenge on social media.

He posted: “You and me Jake Paul – any time, any place.

“I’m in your preferred opponent wheelhouse – 60yrs old and barely any boxing experience.

“But I make up for it with ferocity, resilience, fearlessness and a burning will-to-win. Let’s do this.”

Fans are up for seeing the rogue match-up as they reacted to Morgan’s post.

One posted: “Bring it.”

A second wrote: “Go get him Piers.”

A third commented: “I would actually pay to see this.”

A fourth said: “My money’s on tie.”

Another added: “The Grumble in the Jungle.”

Danis, 31, also spoke about the boxing quality of both Paul brothers and insisted that Logan is the better of the two.

He added: “I think Logan is a better boxer than him, I’ve been through my s**t after losing to Logan.

“Jake sucks and Jake knows that.

“These guys, I knew them before they did boxing, he was such a wannabee. He is trying to be something he is not, you know.

“He’s trash, I will fight him MMA, any rules that he wants.”

96-year-old Lido reopens after major upgrade and swimmers are urged to book to make the most of 36C heat

A 96-YEAR-OLD lido has reopened after a major upgrade, with swimmers urged to book to make the most of the heat.

With temperatures set to reach highs of 36C today, Brits across the nation will be doing everything they can to try to cool down.

Crouch End lido has reopened after a major revamp[/caption]

And although purchasing a fan or making your own air conditioner may be your first thought, taking a trip down to your local lido is great way to relax and unwind in the heat.

Crouch End Lido Reopens

Park Road Leisure Centre and Lido in Crouch End, which opened in 1931, was closed for a period of 10 days this month, to “keep the good times rolling for many more years and decades to come”.

During its closure, a new circulation pump was fitted, and pipe repairs and paving improvements were made.

Additionally, there were preparations for a new pool cover, which will be installed over the next few weeks, without interrupting the pool’s opening times.

The new cover is expected to save a whopping £35,000 in operational costs.

Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Emily Arkell, said: “We’re delighted that the Lido will be re-opening on schedule, with residents now benefitting from this newly renovated provision during peak season.

“We cannot wait to welcome our residents back to the Lido, which we know means so much to them. It’s a vital component in supporting their mental health and physical wellbeing.

“By investing in these essential improvements to the Lido and other facilities such as the teaching pool, we’re underlining our commitment to ensure Park Road Leisure Centre continues to thrive as a community hub now and in the future.”

Swimmers Urged To Book

The lido reopened again on Friday, June 27th, with swimmers urged to book slots to make the most of the hot weather.

“Remember, you must have a booking to swim at the lido. As well as pent-up demand following the 10-day closure, the pool is due to re-open during another hot spell”, the lido said in an Instagram post.

“Slots will sell out quickly.

“So if you’re a pay-monthly member, please remember to cancel any bookings you aren’t going to use as soon as possible so that someone else can take your place.”

You can book a slot at the lido on the outdoor pool’s website.

Some areas around the lido will remain cordoned off over the coming weeks, whilst preparatory works for the pool covers are finalised.

Swimming safety advice

Experts have revealed some of their top advice for both adults and kids heading to the water this summer:

How to stay safe at the beach

Gareth Morrison, Head of Water Safety at the RNLI said: “If you find yourself being swept out to sea in a rip, try to relax and float until you are free from the rip and you can then swim to safety.

“If you see someone else in danger, alert a lifeguard or call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.”

How to stay safe at the swimming pool

Tiny Hearts Education, former paramedic and CEO Nikki Jurcutz said: “Always put your little one in bright or contrasting colours that would be easy to find in an emergency.

“It only takes 20 seconds to drown, little tips like this could save a life”.

An Auqabliss spokesperson added: “Swimming toys such as noodles, dive rings, floaties and beach balls can be dangerous if left in the pool.

“Children may try to grab these from the pool’s edge and fall in.”

How to stay safe at a waterpark

Ali Beckman, Puddle Ducks Technical Director, said: “Never send a child down the slide on their own, not only are they going to be entering the slide pool area independently, they then have to exit the pool and wait for an adult.

“And wave pools should be avoided until your child is really confident with water going over their faces and you know they are able to regain their feet independently.

Waterparks are often very busy places and it’s easy to lose sight of a child in a split second.”

The installation of the cover will take place on July 3, with the lido being closed for a portion of that day.

On weekdays, the Crouch End lido is open from 7am to 7pm, with no-swimming breaks between 2:30pm and 3pm and 5pm to 5:30pm.

On weekends, the lido is open from 8am to 4pm, with breaks between 11 and 11:30am and 1:30 and 2pm.

Adults can enjoy a session at the lido for £8.95, whilst a junior ticket (11-15) costs £4.60.

Those over 65 can purchase a ticket for just £1.95, whilst residents of Haringey can get discounted tickets.

Millions of passwords and payment details to VANISH in weeks unless you swap away from popular app

A MAJOR app will be wiping millions of passwords and payment details in just weeks.

Brits have just weeks to swap away from the service in order to save their details

The Authenticator will begin deleting Brits’ passwords this month[/caption]

Microsoft is axing the Authenticator app’s password storing service in July.

In just a few days, saved passwords won’t be available to appear in the autofill function.

Weeks after that change, all saved payment information will be wiped from the Authenticator.

In August, all passwords will be deleted from the app.

In order to retain their payment and password details, Brits will need to swap to the Microsoft Edge app – where their details can be synced over.

Edge can be set as your device’s autofill provider by selecting it in your settings.

Microsoft Authenticator first launched in 2016 and began enabling password storage in 2020.

Although this service has now come to an end, Authenticator will continue to provide some other functions.

It will support passkeys, which uses a PIN, fingerprint or face scan to log into some accounts.

The news comes after Microsoft axed another iconic feature – though that comes as welcome news to some users.

The blue screen of death is famed for filling users with dread, as it marked that a user’s computer had run into a major issue.

The frowning face and QR code will also no longer appear if your computer crashes.

Users on social media cried that this marked the “end of an era”.

One user wrote: “The Blue Screen of Death is dying for one last time and Windows crashes just won’t be the same ever again!”

Another said: “But… I was literally just getting used to it.”

Microsoft hopes that axing the feature will speed up waiting times for its users, with the brand hoping that it will enable computers to reboot quicker.

Championship club auctioning off parts of iconic 20,000-capacity stadium including seats from dugouts

MILLWALL fans have the chance to buy a piece of history in a rare auction that will see parts of the Den – including dugout seats – sold.

The Lions are currently in the early stages of a phased redevelopment of their stadium, the Den.

Unique items of memorabilia are available[/caption]

They eventually hope to expand the capacity of the ground from 20,000 to around 34,000 spectators, although a time scale is yet to be determined.

Now, with club officials looking to continue with some of the first steps, items from the Den are being auctioned off to fans.

Supporters can bid for several items from the stadium – including seats from both the home and away dugouts.

They can also buy signs from around the venue and even some trophies.

The 2015-16 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Team of the Round shield is available, with bidding currently at £65.

A Millwall-branded trophy is also available for the same price as things stand on sportbidder.

Fans also have access to signed and framed shirts and photos, all with different bids.

There is even the chance to bid for items from club lounges along with stadium maps and seating plans.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

The auction is currently open and will close at 10am BST on July 8.

Discussing the process, Luke Wilson, Millwall’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Each lot is steeped in the history and legend of the club, but it must be every fan’s dream to own one of the dugout seats.

“Famous managers such as Neil Harris and Gary Rowett, plus popular players like Jed Wallace, Jake Cooper and Steve Morison sat on them as they watched the action on the pitch, either after coming off themselves or as they prepared to go on.”

He continued: “The auction provides three specific solutions for the club and the fans.

“Firstly, it allows us to repurpose club property – much of it unique – in a creative way so that it is not wasted.

“Secondly, it provides a unique opportunity for fans to acquire genuine Millwall FC memorabilia direct from The Den that they would otherwise not be able to get their hands on.

“And lastly, it will raise money for us to reinvest in the club itself. It’s the ideal outcome.”

Shocking moment surfer is HEADBUTTED by airborne shark – before saying ‘I’m happy its mouth wasn’t open’

THIS is the moment a surfer is headbutted by a flying shark in a jaw-dropping encounter in Florida.

Wild footage shows Darren Kaye calmly sitting on his board when a spinner shark explodes from the water in a twisting leap.

The animal smashed straight into his head, knocking him clean off his board at New Smyrna Beach.

The clip captured the fast-moving predator launching into the air like a missile – a signature move for spinner sharks during feeding frenzies.

After the terrifying hit, Kaye told local outlet WFTV 9: “I was just really happy its mouth wasn’t open.”

New Smyrna Beach, northeast of Orlando, is infamous for shark sightings – and Kaye said he had seen plenty of fins slicing through the surf before.

What he didn’t expect was an aerial ambush.

“I got right back on that board and my pulse went to like 195 beats a minute in a second and I paddled as fast as I could out of the way,” he said.

The impact, he added, was no joke: “I have a scar on the side of my elbow from [being hit by a car] and that’s like what it felt like. It felt like getting hit by a car.

“It was really strong and powerful. They’re all muscle, you know.”

While spinner sharks aren’t typically aggressive, the beach is also home to black tip sharks – and the notorious bull shark, one of the most dangerous to humans.

Still, the brush with Jaws didn’t scare Kaye off the waves.

“We surfed there the rest of the weekend, we surfed there this morning, we surfed there yesterday afternoon,” the surfer said.

“We always have waves. We are lucky.”

The video, which was also posted on Instagram, quickly lit up the comments.

One user wrote: “That’s wild!”

Another chimed in: “I got hit by one at inlet while up riding a wave. Thought it broke my arm when I put it up to block the impact.”

A third added: “Had this happen to me at Navarre Pier.

“It hit my foot hard on its way out of the water and still landed next to my board. Fun moment, kept surfing.”

And another person commented: “Some of them get pretty big. Saw a 4-5 footer hop out today.”

With summer heating up, so is shark season on the East Coast.

Earlier this month, a 9-year-old girl nearly lost her hand in a more typical shark attack in Florida, and days later, a beachgoer in South Carolina was airlifted to the hospital after being mauled near Hilton Head Island.

But Kaye’s mid-air run-in proves you don’t even need to be in the water to have a close encounter with one of the ocean’s most fearsome predators.

Steph McGovern reveals chilling act from deranged stalker that forced her to call security

STEPH McGovern revealed the chilling moment that forced her to take action against a deranged stalker.

The television star, 43, appeared on today’s This Morning and revealed her stalker experience has influenced part of her debut novel, Deadline.

Steph McGovern opened up about her stalker ordeal[/caption]

Telling hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about her ordeal, Steph explained that the man never caused her harm but his delusions became increasingly concerning.

The man fell in love with her, believing she was addressing him directly through the TV screen whenever she was speaking to viewers in general.

It all got too much when he somehow got hold of her parents’ address and wrote to her dad asking for permission to marry her.

She explained: “My dad rang me and said, ‘Steph, who’s this fella you’re seeing?’

“He talked to my dad about being in a relationship with me and he kind of asked for my hand in marriage.”

When Ben revealed his surprise that the man had managed to get the address, Steph continued: “That’s what freaked me out. At that point it’s very different from having someone being there at broadcasting things to finding your parents address and writing to them.

“That panicked me because I thought my mum and dad are going to be dead worried here.

“That’s when it all kicked in and the BBC security team did their thing.”

No charges were ever brought against the stalker.

Steph has been busy ever since Channel 4 axed her daytime show, Steph’s Packed Lunch, in December 2023.

Not only has she written a novel, she also starred in Bear Grylls‘ hit Netflix reality show, Celebrity Bear Hunt.

It pushed her to the limit and in one terrifying incident she ended up bashing her face off a cliff face.

Medics scrambled to help her as she helplessly hung from her safety harness while host Holly Willoughby watched on with concern.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun earlier this year, Steph said: “We had these amazing medics and everything. There was a moment where I literally fell off a cliff and smashed into a wall.

“You will see, it was pretty scary. When I got pulled back off the cliff, I saw everyone’s face and I thought, ‘oh’, and then Holly is like, ‘Oh my goodness’.

“I was just hanging there looking at… There was blood dripping off my face.

“I didn’t overthink it. I just thought, they’re not going to let me die.

“It was fine, it wasn’t a big deal, it wasn’t broken. They were just kind of checking me that I didn’t have a concussion. I was a bit mad. You know these things sometimes that look more dramatic than they actually are?”

In difficult-to-watch moments, Steph fell from a ledge during a challenge and swung towards the sheer rockface.

The impact was heavy and she repeatedly shouted “Ow!”.

Co-star Big Zuu could be heard asking if she was alright as Holly reassured him medics were on their way to help.
