He has signed a deal at the Istanbul-based club until June 2028 and could make his debut this weekend against Samsunspur.

Basaksehir are currently seventh in the Super Lig, and beat St Patrick’s Athletic on their way to the Conference League group stages this season.

They won the league in 2020, though are traditionally one of the smaller clubs in Turkey though they have a collaboration agreement with Manchester City.

Enniscorthy-man Ebosele has made the switch as he becomes the first Irish man to ever play for a Turkish club having impressed at Watford this season.

The former Derby County joined the Hornets on loan from sister club Udinese – where he made 38 Serie A appearances – last August and made 18 appearances.

His form has also saw him become a regular in the Ireland set-up with seven caps for Ireland, including starts in the last two games.

Snail has got everyone guessing – including the panel of judges.

In the first episode, judges Mo GilliganDavina McCallMaya Jama, and Jonathan Ross were joined by Sir Mo Farah in the guessing game.

They were all wowed by Snail, who took to the stage to sing Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, with a garden-themed performance.

They then pulled out all the stops with Take That’s Rule the World and Hold On by Wilson Phillips last weekend.

Now some eagle-eyed fans think Snail could be pop songstress Edele.

One viewer wrote: “I think Snail is Edele Lynch from Bewitched, lots of umbrellas for Blame it on the weatherman, wrote songs for Girls aloud with Xenomania company.”

A second posted: “Edele Lynch or Andrea Corr is snail.”

While others think they’ve recognised the voice.

A third said: “Snail – someone from B*Witched? Sounds a bit Irish and you can watch the Bewitched on amazon prime. Also j’taime reminded me of cest la vie.”

Another added: “That was definitely an Irish accent. Someone from Corrs or B*Witched?”

Edele swapped her singing career for a very different day job after shooting to fame in the 1990s.

The star, 43, enjoyed success along with her other bandmates – twin sister, Keavy, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll with some of their smash hits such as C’est La Vie and Blame It On The Weatherman.

Fast forward over two decades and Edele has a very surprising job away from the limelight.

She recently revealed in an interview that she went back to school to be trained as a neuromuscular therapist and currently works as a neuromuscular therapist and personal training.

The band was first formed in 1998 when Edele and Keavy decided to start a group with their friend Sinead.

B*Witched enjoyed huge success worldwide, becoming the first act in history to have their first four singles debut at number one in the UK.

However, in 2002 after their huge success and touring all over the world the band decided to split.

Snail trail

While other internet-sleuths are now convinced they know who The Masked Singer’s Snail is.

Some fan thinks they have guessed that the celeb behind the elaborate costume is in fact 90s legend Andrea Corr.

The Irish singer shot to fame nearly three decades ago with her brothers and sisters in the band The Corrs.

Andrea and her siblings were best known for songs like Breathless, So Young, and Runaway.

Fans are now convinced she is The Masked Singer’s Snail, and they took to social media to sure their thoughts.

One tweeted: “Snail is Andrea Corr- violins playing, clue package mentions Irresistible straight away (Corrs song), soft Irish accent, clue about being up in space- her solo album was called Ten Feet High.”

While another said: “Ok so Snail on #MaskedSingerUK sounds very much like Andrea Corr and that is what I’m sticking with.”

This one agreed: “Snail sounds a bit like Andrea Corr…”

Rumours had been spreading that Raising Cane’s, the much-loved American fast food chain, had opened for business.

The restaurant offer a range of meals with their chicken fingers at the focus which you can pair with sides such as crinkle cut chips, Texas toast, coleslaw and their own dipping sauce.

However, much to the dismay of fans, the shopping centre set the record straight in a statement.

Taking to Facebook, The Square clarified that there are no plans to bring Raising Cane’s to the centre, calling the rumours “fake news.”

And it went on to remind visitors to check their website for an up-to-date list of stores and restaurants before heading over.

They said: “While we would love to welcome Raising Cane’s to The Square someday, unfortunately the online reports and social media rumours are fake news!!

“There is no Raising Cane’s at The Square.

“Check our website for our full list of shops and restaurants before visiting.”

And it’s not the first time rumours have circulated over the fast food chain opening in Ireland.

Last year, Raising Cane’s fans got excited as brand new social media pages were set up claiming to be for a new Irish joint.

The fast food chain is famous for their chicken finger dishes and one-of-a-kind dipping sauce.

Long-standing rumours

@rasingcanesdublin TikTok page appeared on social media and shared a video with the exciting news.

In the video, the account wrote: “Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers coming to Dublin Ireland.

“Coming December.”

The video is captioned: “We’re proud to announce that Raising Cane’s will be coming to Dublin, Ireland in December of this year.”

They also shared a second video to the TikTok page writing: “See you soon.”

Both videos show off delicious chicken finger meals which is famously the only option on their menu.

However, with no official statement from the fast food joint and no Irish location opening up. The videos were later deemed fake by fans.

People have taken to the comment section of the Square’s Facebook post to share their disappointment.

One person wrote: ” I knew it was too good to be true.”

Another said: “False alarm.”

30 States Are Getting Spring-Like Weather This Week—Here’s What Your Region Can Expect

We’re officially entering fake spring—a short period of warmer-than-normal weather in which puffer coats are unnecessary, and you might even be able to get away with wearing shorts. For the first time in many weeks, radiators will go silent, and windows will be cracked open. The intermittent shift to spring-like weather is forecasted to affect 30 states, starting as early as this weekend. Read on to learn how your region will be impacted.

RELATED: Meteorologists Are Predicting a "Snow Drought" This Winter—Is Your Region Affected?

Forecasters predict above-normal temperatures next week.

Starting Monday, folks in Arizona, Alaska, New Mexico, Florida, and southern parts of Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia are expected to have "likely above" normal temperatures, per a National Weather Service report.

By region, the Southwest and Southeast are teetering between "likely above" and "leaning above" normal temperatures. However, the Northwest and Northeast could bring in "likely below" normal temperatures. The Midwest is split, with southernmost states clocking "near normal" digits, while northernmost states have a 50 to 70 percent chance of "likely below" normal digits.

But by the second week of February, a majority of the country will be reaching near normal or above normal temps.

By Feb. 15, most regions will be warmer than 50 degrees.

Things are heating up! During the first half of February, temperatures in parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Florida could reach above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, according to The Washington Post. Most of the South will experience prime T-shirt weather, with temps hovering between 70 and 80 degrees.

Forecasters predict that nearly half of the U.S.—as outlined in the list below–will be warmer than 60 degrees between Jan. 31 and Feb. 15:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Eastern Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • North Carolina
  • Oklahoma
  • South Carolina
  • Southern Arizona
  • Southern California
  • Southern Illinois
  • Southern Indiana
  • Southern Kansas
  • Southern Missouri
  • Southern New Mexico
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Virginia
  • Western Nevada
  • Western Utah
  • West Virginia

Additionally, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan, and Pennsylvania could hit 50 degrees Fahrenheit during this period. This would be a very dramatic shift in temperatures, considering these areas were among those most severely impacted by the recent polar vortex, which brought gusts of Arctic wind and subzero temps.

Why the sudden heat wave?

Heavy precipitation, including potential snow, is coming for the Northwest due to an "atmospheric river," per the Post. This sudden weather pattern is due to a "strong jet stream," which will blast "mild Pacific air deeper into the country."

But don’t bid your winter coats adieu just yet! It’s too soon to tell whether this short heat wave is the beginning of spring or just a little tease of what’s to come later this year.
