Wimbledon star, 26, has second career as a RAPPER and released eight-song EP after duet with fellow tennis player

CORENTIN MOUTET certainly makes plenty of noise on the tennis court as one of the sport’s biggest wind-up merchants.

But he also does so off it – with his very own music career.

He dropped an EP in 2020 before two further singles[/caption]

Moutet, 26, certainly likes to shake things up with his off-beat unconventional and maverick brand of tennis.

It has earned the lefty – not one to shy away from controversy or conflict on the court – a career-high ranking of No51 and £3.4million in prize money.

And he starts his Wimbledon campaign today hoping to hit all the right notes and beat his second-round runs in 2019 and 2023.

Because away from tennis, Moutet has a side hustle.

The Frenchman is a keen pianist and also fancies himself as a bit of rapper, too.

In fact, the Paris native revealed he actually prefers rap music over tennis – but appreciates his professional sporting career can fund his singing venture.

Moutet told Radio France in 2021: “Tennis and rap are at the centre of my priorities. Maybe a little more tennis because that’s what allows me to finance what I do in rap.

“In everyday life, I prefer to rap. But tennis is cool nonetheless. It’s a crazy sport, and again that’s how I make a living. I find it more fun to rap.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

“But I give myself 100 per cent in both. On the court, I forget the music. And in the studio, there is no tennis.”

Moutet enjoys music so much that in 2020, he released an eight-song EP album.

Ecorche – “skin” in French – dropped in the October, with Moutet making the most of the Covid lockdown to record his songs.

The translated track titles are Dream, Invisible, Beautiful Hell, Little Brother, If You Knew, In The Land Of Stars, Monsters and Psychoanalysis.

Following in the footsteps of compatriot tennis-star-turn-singer Yannik Noah, Moutet then added 37.5 to his portfolio in 2021 – his best-performing song on Spotify with 15,000 listens.

And his most-recent number, No Fake, came out in 2024.

The album cover for it is a burning US dollar bill on a clay tennis court.

Moutet – whose best Grand Slam result so far was round four at the 2024 French Open – also featured on fellow tennis player Denis Shapovalov’s single Drip just weeks before his own EP.

On the EP he brought out during Covid, Moutet added: “I had time to kill. I grew up alone, far from my parents. I felt the need to indulge in a lot of things.

“At the age of 16, this is the only way I can find expression. I took it a bit like therapy. Especially at the beginning.

“Then over time I began to appreciate the richness of the French language, to work more on my lyrics, to play with rhymes.”

‘More summer-like’ weather to blast Ireland in DAYS as switch pinpointed & Met Eireann reveal full 30-day July forecast

IRELAND looks set to bask in “more summer-like” weather as rainfall amounts fall below average and temperatures climb up in some areas in just a few days.

Forecasters have revealed a “very strong signal” of better conditions into the second half of July – but Met Eireann warned not every area will bask in sunshine and heat.

Ireland looks set to bask in better conditions later this month

Ireland will endure some rain before conditions brighten up[/caption]

The weather forecasters said conditions this week will continue to be dull, damp and changeable, with a westerly airflow likely to continue to dominate the weather.

Met Eireann said temperatures are expected to remain average for this time of year, with a signal of above average temperatures in parts of the east and southeast.

The forecasters said rainfall amounts are expected to be below average for most of the country, with the exception of the north which is signalling average or slightly above rain.

Met Eireann said next week looks set to bring more of the same, but conditions may improve slightly towards July 13.

Temperatures are expected to be above average while rain is expected to fall in average amounts, but those in northern regions and along Atlantic coasts may be blasted by slightly more rain than normal for the time of year.

Looking towards July 14, Met Eireann said parts of the south and east may bask in temperatures above average whilst the northeast and far southeast can expect less rain than average.

Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel said high pressure looks set to grip the country from mid July on – hinting that many may see the return of “summer-like” conditions in just a few days.

He explained: “The weather models are now starting to coalesce around the idea that we may see much-improved conditions from the middle of the month onwards.

“That might seem an eternity away. It’s still about seven to 10 days away, but we are starting to see signs that we will see much much-improved conditions during that particular period.

“What we’re starting to see is that a blocking area of high pressure is expected to set up directly over the country.

“So, for those of you who think that summer is very much gone, this is certainly a silver lining. It’s something to cling to over the next couple of days.”

Nolan said it’s important to keep an eye on the models to ensure they don’t keep “pushing” the high pressure out further and further.

But he determined the likelihood is, Ireland will see more settled conditions from the middle of the month onwards.

‘CAN CHANGE RAPIDLY’

Nolan continued: “We’re very cautious not to jump the gun but we have looked at this for a number of days and we are seeing a little bit of consistency now.

“We’ll keep you updated if there are any changes. It is Ireland’s weather after all and it can change rather rapidly.

“But there are increasing signs we will see more settled weather and something a little more summer-like for the second half of July.”

Looking at the likely pressure patterns, Nolan said: “Now that’s what we call a VERY STRONG signal of better conditions into the second half of the month.”

Looking into the fourth week of July, starting on July 21, Met Eireann said forecast confidence is low but there is a “slight signal” for high pressure to build over most of the country.

This would bring more settled weather over Ireland.

WARMER OUTLOOK AFTER RAIN PAIN

Met Eireann added: “Temperatures are indicated to be slightly warmer than average with below average rainfall amounts across the country.”

Meanwhile, looking at conditions today, Met Eireann said this morning will be dry for many with sunny spells, but those in Leinster and east Munster can expect cloudy conditions with some lingering drizzle and mist.

Spells of sunshine will develop more widely through the afternoon, with well scattered showers too and temperatures peaking between 15C and 19C.

Tomorrow will be a fresher day with spells of sunshine and scattered showers, some of which will be heavy or thundery over the northern half of the country.

The showers will become more isolated in the evening.

Met Eireann said temperatures will be 14C at their highest in the northwest and 19C at their peak in the southeast.

The weather forecaster warned conditions are expected to turn “more unsettled” to end the week with outbreaks of rain spreading from the Atlantic.

UK weather: Temperatures could hit 36C today, Met Office says – but Brits also bracing for thunderstorms & heavy rain

THE mercury is set to rise to 36C today, but Brits have been warned to brace for thunderstorms ahead.

It’s forecast to be another scorcher, following highs of more than 33C in parts of England yesterday.

MET Office
Temperatures could reach 36C in parts of south east England today[/caption]

Monday saw the hottest start to Wimbledon on record, with 32.9C recorded at nearby Kew Gardens, while 33.1C was recorded at Heathrow.

Temperatures across much of the region are expected to reach into the 30s again today.

In the south east, figures could climb as high as a sweltering 36C, according to the Met Office.

However, the rest of the UK is predicted more changeable conditions.

Alex Burkill, meteorologist at the Met Office, said there would be a “three-way split” across the UK on Tuesday, with high temperatures and “lots of sunshine on offer” in south, central and eastern England.

“There will be a bit of cloud here and there – you can’t even rule out one or two showers developing – but actually, across parts of the far South East, barely a cloud in the sky,” he said.

“With all that sunshine, with all the hot weather that we’ve had recently, the heat’s going to continue to build (and) temperatures are going to rise a little bit higher.

“Towards the South East many places high 20s (or) low 30s, but there’s potential that we could be looking at around 34, 35, maybe even 36C tomorrow.”

But scattered showers coming from the south west are due to hit parts of Wales and northern England later today, Mr Burkill added.

Elsewhere, in north-west Scotland and Northern Ireland, conditions are set to remain dry.

And, a channel of slightly cooler air is expected to move in from the continent over Tuesday night into Wednesday.

This should see sweltering nights start to feel “a bit more comfortable” in many places, the forecaster said.

A “chance of heavy showers and thunderstorms” will also cut through the heat in the southeast on Wednesday morning.

Heavy showers are also expected in the northeast, although downpours are due to ease up into the afternoon.

Later in the week, more rain is forecast in the northwest, which will lead into a “widely unsettled” weekend for all.

But temperatures are set to remain close to average for the time of year.

This comes after the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) extended amber heat health alerts for much of the country into Wednesday morning.

The UKHSA warnings for Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, the West Midlands, the East of England, London, the South East and the South West are now in place until 9am on Wednesday.

A yellow heat health alert has also been extended to the same time for the North West.

Since 1960, UK temperatures in June have surpassed 34C in only three years, with the hottest being 35.6C, recorded on June 28 1976.

A heatwave in the UK is met when a location records a period of at least three consecutive days, with temperature values meeting or exceeding the heatwave temperature thresholds.

Across the north and west of the UK this is 25C, and across Greater London and the Home Counties, 28C.

Charlwood, in Surrey, recorded the hottest temperature of the year so far at 33.2C on June 21.

Wimbledon fans were spotted yesterday shielding themselves from the sun as they queued up for tickets on the opening day of the hotly-anticipated tennis Championships.

It was the hottest opening day ever, with temperatures surpassing the previous record of 29.3C set in 2001.

The hottest day the tournament has seen was in 2015 when temperatures reached 35.7C.

And the rest of Britain grew warmer than holiday hotspots like Ibiza, where highs of 29C were forecast yesterday.

Thousands of Brits have flocked to beaches and outdoor pools today to soak up the summer rays.

However, Brits have been warned heat could cause issues for commuters, with Network Rail, Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express advising passengers to check before they travel today.

Sections of the Brighton Main Line in particular could see delays due to speed restrictions being in place.

This is due to the on track temperatures likely to hit 50C.

A spokesperson for Network Rail and the train operators said: “With temperatures set to soar as forecast by the Met Office, speed restrictions have to be imposed across large parts of the network to ensure everyone’s safety.

“We’re sorry but this means we won’t be able to run as many trains as normal and journeys will take longer.

“Trains that are running will also be much busier. If you are able to work from home then that may be your best option.

“If you do take the train, then please remember to take a bottle of water and if you begin to feel unwell, seek help at the next station and speak to station staff.

“Pulling emergency alarms onboard may delay us getting help to you.”

And, London Fire Brigade assistant commissioner Thomas Goodall added: “London is already facing its second heatwave of the year and we know that people will be looking forward to getting outside to enjoy the wonderful weather.

“But the high temperatures and low rainfall in recent months means the current risk of wildfires is severe.

“So far this year, firefighters have responded to around 14 wildfires in the capital.

“There have also been countless callouts to smaller fires involving grass, trees and in other outdoor spaces, as well as in people’s gardens.

“During this latest heatwave, it is important everyone acts responsibly to prevent fires from occurring.

“As the weather has been so dry, it only takes a few sparks to lead to a fire spreading rapidly.

“In London, this is can be dangerous because so many of our green spaces lie close to homes and other properties.”

Woman tries out the viral lip blush trend so you don’t have to… and shows why it isn’t the best idea

IF you’ve been on TikTok in the recent months chances are you’ve seen the viral lip blush trend – but for one woman it went horribly wrong.

Essentially a permanent lipstick in the perfect shade designed for you, lip blushing creates a full blush of colour across the pout.

As well as serving as the ideal lippy, without having to reapply a conventional lipstick 24/7, lip blushing also adds definition and creates the illusion of more volume.

A type of tattoo that adds colour and pigment, the viral trend can also be used to correct any asymmetry or pigmentation in the lips.

With over 113million posts on TikTok, it’s certainly become one of the biggest trends in the beauty world – but now woman woman has revealed why you should think twice before jumping on bandwagon.

Nova Sterling, from Texas, the US, decided to give the trend a go – however, she may have got more than she had bargained for.

Posting the epic fail on TikTok, Nova said: ”I decided that it was a great idea to go get my lips blushed today.

”No one told how crazy I was gonna look,” the stunner said in the video, before revealing the jaw-dropping aftermath.

Mortified at how mega plump her brand new pout was, Nova told social media users that she had ”work in two days”.

”Two days… Hopefully, they look fire by then because right now, this is not it.”

Despite Nova’s hilarious reaction, swelling is a totally normal reaction after getting lip blushing and usually subsides within a few days.

After you’ve had your lips blushed – a procedure that takes around 40 minutes to an hour – the total recovery process may take up to a month, explained the experts at Lisa Om.

As well as having your lips balloon in size, it’s also normal to expect some tenderness, intensifying of lip colour, a lot of dryness, minor peeling and more.

While it may be tempting to touch your lips and even peel off some of the skin, it’s strongly advised to not give into the urge, experts warned.

The pros recommend avoiding direct sunlight, skipping a dip in the swimming pool, visiting a sauna and even keeping alcohol and salt away from your new pout.

What are the risks of lip fillers?

THE RISKS of dermal fillers depend on whether the procedure was done correctly and the type of filler used.

The NHS recommends you speak to your practitioner about the risks beforehand.

Serious problems are rare but can include:

  • Infection
  • A lumpy appearance under the skin, which might need to be treated with surgery or medicine
  • The filler moving away from the intended treatment area, which may need to be removed using surgery
  • Scarring
  • Blocked blood vessels in the face, which can cause tissue death and permanent blindness

You should see your GP if you have any complications that need medical attention and speak to your practitioner if you’re not happy with the results or experience lumpiness.

‘Wear a mask and say you’re sick’

Since being shared on the platform, where Nova posts under the username @novasterlingg, the video has gone viral, amassing her a whopping 13.3million views.

As over 953k people gave it a like, more than 4,000 viewers flooded to comments in sheer horror.

”That one scene in monsters inc,” joked one person who compared the young woman to the animated characters Fungus.

”Hopefully you work for emirates?” another chuckled.

Someone else advised: ”Do a full face of make up and just act like you wanted to go all out today.”

‘It’s so worth it tho!!! Wear a mask and say you’re sick,” a fourth suggested.
