RTE Fair City viewers were all left saying the same thing after Mondo received a tempting offer from Rafferty.
On tonight’s episode, protests grew in Carrigstown and Rafferty had a plan to get some of the locals back on side.

Jacinta and Ray suspected Joan was siding with the Raffertys, but Nora and Hughie argued that they should accept their legal help.
As protests grew, the Raffertys tried to win Mondo over with a rent discount.
However, during a public meeting, Rafferty sent Joan flowers to make it look like she was colluding with them.
This helped the Raffertys turn the crowd against her, with Hughie later discovering the launderette power cut was caused by a circuit overload, not Rafferty.
Mondo told Joan about the Raffertys’ offer, and when the tenants found out, she informed Rafferty that they will be going on a rent strike.
Meanwhile, Gar wondered if the Canadian legal job could be a good move for Joan.
But, Judge Cowhey pressured her to take the case, threatening to report her for past blackmail if she refuses.
RTE viewers raced to social media to share their reactions to all of tonight’s drama.
Barry wrote: “Sweet Jaysus, don’t tell me Joan has a photo of the auld judge at it!”
Ciara said: “Mondo is being Mondo.”
Another viewer added: “I like Jacinta’s way of thinking.”
Elsewhere on the show, Ger revealed to Sharon that it was Kev who broke into the house and that Liam covered for him.
After Kev was arrested, Liam confronted Ger for reporting Kev, but she told him it wasn’t her.
The two argued about the locket, and Liam continued his lie, claiming he doesn’t have it.

WAYNE ROONEY gave a glowing endorsement of Plymouth Argyle to new boss Tom Cleverley.
Former England and Manchester United ace Rooney played alongside Cleverley at Old Trafford and won the 2013 Premier League together, while the pair also played for the Three Lions.
GettyTom Cleverley has joined Plymouth Argyle on a three-year contract[/caption]
GettyWayne Rooney was sacked by the Pilgrims last December[/caption]
Cleverley replaces Miron Muslic at the League One club and the 35-year-old says ex-Argyle manager Rooney, who spent seven months at Home Park, gave him the thumbs up to take on the job.
The former midfielder, in his second managerial job after being in charge of Watford last season, said: “I spoke not just with Wayne but other people who I know that have played for or coached at the club.
“He gave the club and the place a glowing reference and he’s obviously someone’s opinion that I can trust.
“I played with him for many years and I think it’s important that I did some references, but most of all is what I see now through my own eyes.
“That will really start on Monday when I get on the pitch with the players and I make my own judgements, but I like to thoroughly research whatever I’m about to dive in to and the references were glowing.”
Cleverley is the fifth permanent Argyle manager in the last 18 months and will have a fresh start at the club following relegation from the Championship.
Argyle chairman Simon Hallett is looking for new investment, and the club was linked with a takeover that included former Wales captain Gareth Bale among their consortium.
But Pilgrims CEO Andrew Parkinson said: “That was speculation and we’re not in a position to talk about individuals or investors. When we have got the opportunity we will do that.”

Argyle have confirmed their first signing under Cleverley, recruiting former Arsenal starlet Xavier Amaechi.
The ex-England youth international, 24, joins on a three-year deal from German side FC Magdeburg.
Upon sealing the deal, boss Cleverley said: “Xavier is a quick and exciting winger who will add further competition to our forward options.
“He has good European experience having played in Germany, and returns to England a more rounded player, but he is still young and has so much room for growth and development.
“He showed a real desire to be a part of Argyle and I am delighted to welcome him to the club.”
Amaechi is the Devon side’s fifth summer signing; with Jamie Paterson, Caleb Watts, Jack Mackenzie and Bradley Ibrahim having joined prior to Cleverley’s arrival.

They were all treated to an eBay pre-loved party and a game of beer pong dares, and Yasmin’s first snog occurred with Dejon.
Dejon is coupled up with Meg, but was tasked with snogging the Islander he found most attractive, aside from his partner.
He went straight over to Yasmin as Meg watched on, and snogged her.
Later on in the game, Yasmin ended up snogging Harry too.
And as Meg and Dejon chatted about what had happened during the game afterwards, it was clear that they weren’t going to see eye to eye.
Meg asked why Dejon snogged Yasmin despite “not being attracted to her.”
Dejon said: “I find Yasmin the most attractive out of my couple,” which left Meg confused.
The couple went back and forth as the other Islanders watched on.
Dejon told Meg: “You honestly blow my mind, I’m so confused.”
He then questioned why Meg chose to do a sex position with bombshell Harrison, when she could’ve picked him instead.
After their exchange of angry words, Meg told Dejon: “I’m taking a big step back.”
Dejon encouraged her and said: “Have fun,” to which Meg replied: “I stay true to myself and what I do.”
He ended up walking off, leaving an emotional Meg sitting by herself.

LOVE Island’s Toni suffered a huge wardrobe malfunction in Thursday night’s instalment.
Showing off to her fellow Islanders, the American beauty, 24, did a handstand into a cartwheel as her boob fell out of her bikini.

Toni did the flexible act while donning a skimpy bathing suit, which would later have consequences.
As she did the move, her boob seemingly fell out of her swimsuit.
The wardrobe blunder left her co-stars in hysterics, with one of the hunks begging her to cover up quickly.
Dejon was shouting: “Tone, the boob is out,” repeatedly, as she failed to pay attention.
He kept shouting out to her before saying: “Boob’s still out.”
The fellow Islanders were stunned by the wardrobe blunder, as were viewers at home.
One person wrote: “Tone the boob is out,” complete with a laughing emoji for Dejon’s plea.
“Ton the boob is out – settle down Dejon,” said another.
A third person then said of the blunder: “Looks like Toni is giving the Villa a run for its money! Who needs reality TV drama when you’ve got Toni in the house?”
“Ik Toni keeps that villa moving my American queen,” said a fourth.
“Toni ain’t love island without a nip slip,” penned a fifth.
This comes as Toni is romantically involved with new boy Harrison, 22, after he picked her over Malisha earlier in the week.
While showing the new boy around the stunning villa on Wednesday night, Toni got a very sexy invitation.
Minutes after bombshell Harrison entered the villa, he gave Toni a proposition.

Showing him around the villa, Toni said to Harrison: “The showers.”
“Shower one at a time?” he exclaimed.
Toni laughed and said: “Yes.”
“That’s a shame,” Harrison replied before following Toni out of the bathroom.
They then got ready for bed before getting into a single bed together and cuddling up.
“Why’s Harrison making everything so sexual so soon?” asked one person on X, moments after his arrival and shower comment.
“All the sexual stuff is just weird as hell,” said a second.

BBC presenter Naga Munchetty was reprimanded by bosses over two incidents in three years — including claims she bullied a junior staffer.
The star, 50 — at the centre of a BBC Breakfast toxicity row — was also hauled in over a sex jibe made on Radio 5 Live.

Naga is said to have used a crude slang term for a sex act during an off-air break — before asking a colleague if they had done it.
The alleged remark stunned the Radio 5 Live studio and led to the star being hauled before bosses.
She was reprimanded by a senior producer but no formal action taken
The comment became widely known at 5 Live, with one source describing the 2022 incident as: “Crass, inappropriate and wildly unprofessional. The person felt embarrassed.”
We can also reveal that on BBC Breakfast last year, she was rapped for the alleged bullying of a woman, who was the most junior staffer.
As part of the alleged bullying , the star is said to have falsely accused her of stealing, which led to a closed-door showdown.
The source said: “It was humiliating. There was no evidence, no apology. The woman left not long after, completely demoralised.”
Another insider added: “That wasn’t an isolated incident. It really is the tip of the iceberg.”
Munchetty, 50, is the first female presenter to be caught up in the series of scandals which have gripped the Beeb.
But the BBC is now also facing questions of double standards.
A Breakfast insider said: “If a male presenter made a sexual comment like that or falsely accused someone of theft, he’d be out the door. But with Naga, it gets brushed off.”
A BBC spokesperson said: “While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.”
The flagship show’s editor Richard “Fredi” Frediani is at the centre of a formal bullying investigation, as revealed by The Sun on Monday.
Yesterday it was confirmed the BBC was conducting an internal review into his behaviour and general allegations of toxicity on the show.
This week, an internal email was sent to the BBC Breakfast team, thanking them for their “professionalism and pride” as they continue their work amid the row.
A representative for Naga did not respond to our request for comment.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY owner Dejphon Chansiri faces a race against time to avoid any of his players walking out at Hillsborough.
Some of them are still owed part of their wages for May and all their pay for June.
GettyDejphon Chansiri needs to pay the players of Sheffield Wednesday[/caption]
GettyThe club can not pay for players until January 2027[/caption]
Under Fifa rules those affected could give notice to rip up their contracts if unpaid for two consecutive months in a calendar year.
EFL chiefs have put the Championship club under a transfer embargo until they cough up and bring salaries up to date.
But if they fail to pay those affected players at the end of this month, they run the risk of losing them.
It is not known which players have or not been paid but SunSport understands it is a small group affected.
The club were late with wages in March, but they were paid in full, so that does not count under FIFA regulations, while April was also satisfied.
The EFL announced on Wednesday the Owls will be unable to pay transfer or loan fees until January 2027.
This means they can only go for free transfers or loans with no money changing hands between clubs.
Fans are worried that the chaos could seriously rip the heart out of their club and further rile them against the Thai businessman, who has previously dubbed the supporters as “selfish”.

German boss Danny Rohl is known to be unhappy about the situation and open to talks with other clubs.
Rohl believes had Chansiri backed him sufficiently in the January transfer window they would have nabbed one of the play-off spots rather than finishing 10 points adrift.
The Argentina and ex-Barcelona hero somehow made his deadball magic look easy as he needed barely any backlift to swing it int the net from just outside the penalty area ‘D’.
And it left Miami chasing a famous win – as they overturned Samu Aghehowa’s eight-minute spot-kick opener following a soft penalty award.
Venezuela midfielder Telasco Segovia thumped Miami level just 96 seconds into the second half.

BRITAIN’S new AI-drone gunships will fly alongside Apache helicopters in future battles.
Apache pilots will command up to six drones, known as mules, carrying missiles, sensors and jamming kit.
Britain’s new AI-drone gunships will fly alongside Apache helicopters in future wars
The mules will also be programmed to fight autonomously and control swarms of smaller drones on the ground.
This triple-layer system will give the Army far greater firepower and aims to protect our fleet of Apache AH-64Es, Challenger 3 tanks plus soldiers on the ground.
More integration of crewed and uncrewed aircraft had been hinted at in the Strategic Defence Review announced earlier this month.
Defence Secretary John Healey told this week’s RUSI land warfare conference in London: “From this year, we will be investing more than £100million in new, initial funding to develop land drone swarms.”
“Our Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (the mules) will fly alongside the Apache attack helicopters and enhance the Army’s ability to strike, survive and win on the battlefield.
“This will be a game-changer. It will be applying the lessons from Ukraine in a world- leading way. It will be putting the UK at the leading edge of innovation in Nato.”
Chief of the General Staff Sir Roly Walker said 80 per cent of the Army’s weapons in future wars would be drones — as it could take months to build Apaches and tanks and years to train their crews.
He said drones were vital as the Ukraine war had “shown how a £20million tank and four experienced crew can be lost to a £1,000 drone operated by a kid with a few days’ training”.
He added of the mule drones: “You don’t want to lose them but, if you do, it’s not a tragedy because, although sophisticated, they are uncrewed.”

ISRAEL’s president last night accused Britain of “sitting on the fence” as his nation fights for its life against Iran.
Embattled Isaac Herzog said it was Sir Keir Starmer’s government’s moral duty to support his strife-torn country’s war on terror.

GettyIranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini[/caption]
APDestruction in Israel after Iranian missile strikes[/caption]
And he told The Sun that Iran’s missiles of mass destruction could one day be trained on the UK.
In an exclusive interview at the presidential palace in Jerusalem, he said: “There are things Britain cannot turn a blind eye to. It’s obvious.
“And I think the British leadership should not only look at demonstrations or comments. We have to show them clear moral clarity.
“We are fighting the war that will protect Britain in the foreseeable future.”
Mr Herzog, a moderate political figure on the left of Israeli politics, added: “You ask yourself, why would Iran have missiles reaching London?
“Why? If London is not an enemy, then why? That is the question that needs to be asked.”
He spoke out as Donald Trump, who has moved battleships and aircraft towards the Middle East warzone, last night appeared to give Iran a fortnight to agree to axe its nuclear programme.
The Israel-backing US President, who yesterday signed off on a plan believed to involve ordering B-2 stealth bombers to wipe out Iran’s surviving nuclear plant, said: “I will make my decision whether or not to ‘go’ within the next two weeks.”
Mr Trump, who has demanded Iran’s immediate “unconditional surrender” said he based his decision on the fact there was a “substantial chance of negotiations” with Iran in the near future.
President Herzog, 64, hit out as Keir Starmer’s Labour government continued to fight shy of commitments to back ally Israel’s war with the rogue terror state.
RAF Typhoon jets have been moved to a UK base in Cyprus but the PM and his Foreign Secretary David Lammy have sought to focus squarely on pleas for de-escalation.
Sir Keir yesterday again urged all parties to back off as Britain prepared to enter crisis talks in Geneva with Iran.
He said: “The continuation of the current situation is in no-one’s interest. We want to see cool heads and a return to diplomacy because that is the best route forward.”
The UK has sanctioned two far-Right Israeli ministers over “incitements of violence against Palestinian communities” in the occupied West Bank.
Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich will be banned from entering the UK and will have any assets in the UK frozen.
Mr Herzog spoke of his respect for British values as he poured out his frustration yesterday.
The nation’s figurehead, a political opponent of strongman PM Benjamin Netanyahu, let rip during a 20-minute defence of Israel’s “existential” war with Iran.
And he spoke of his enduring pride in his father, late Israeli president Chaim Herzog, who was an officer in the British Army and battled the Nazis in World War II.
He said: “My father, you know, he was really a war hero in World War Two.
Israel’s President warned Iran’s missiles of mass destruction could one day be trained on the UKDoug SeeburgIsrael President Isaac Herzog spoke of his respect for British values as he poured out his frustration[/caption]
“He was very proud of the fact that he served in the British Army. He saw the worst of atrocities when he fought the Nazis and liberated the concentration camps. And we always believed, and I always believed, in the uniqueness of the British parliamentary system.”
Mr Herzog went on to warn Britain that Iran must be stopped, and that Israel was at a now or never moment when there had never been a better time to end the terror from Iran and its proxies such as Hezbollah and the Houthis.
He told The Sun: “Ask yourself, why would a small tribe of 50,000 Yemenite Houthis receive ballistic missiles and cruise missiles? Ballistic missiles is something only empires have. It’s all planned and arranged by Iran. It’s a war machine planned against us.
“But, truly, the next ones in line are the Europeans and the ‘infidels’ as they call them.
“So let’s not delude ourselves and let’s all join together in identifying the national security risks of all these nations who have to stand up to Iran and say, ‘No more’.
“Enough with your terror cells, enough with your jihadist cells, enough with your proxies and enough with your nuclear programme.
‘We are defending Europe’
“It’s now or never. Iran went on procrastinating for decades and decades and there were all sorts of windows of opportunity.
“Each time they told us, ‘OK, let’s give it a chance . . . let’s have an agreement. Let them do X or Y’.
“But underneath, they had covert operations of lying. Their covert operation threatens Middle East stability and world stability. That’s what people don’t get.
“They love to criticise Israel automatically. But we are defending the West. We are defending Europe.”
Mr Herzog saluted German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for his recent show of support as he urged Sir Keir Starmer to follow suit. And he called on the people of Iran to rise up against terror stoking Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini in his nation’s strongest call yet for regime change.
He told The Sun: “The chancellor of Germany said it beautifully.
“He said Israel is doing the dirty work for us. It’s true.
“We are here at the frontier of a clash of civilisational values vis-à-vis jihadists. That’s what we are dealing with.
The world, for 80 years, has made clear that nuclear capabilities are the most dangerous thing if they are linked with an extreme, cruel, jihadist ideology.
Isaac Herzog
“I trust President Trump. I think he sees it lucidly. I don’t want to go into bombastic declarations but I think that he sees things correctly and my message to the people of Iran is very clear, ‘We do not seek war but this war is your opportunity to uprise and bring change in your country. Totally uprise and change direction’.
“It’s not one of our main plans or aims, but it is a major, major side-effect of our campaign. Our prime minister and our executive branch, they’re taking care of it.”
Referring to Ali Khameini, he said: “It is clear that the leader of this war machine of terror, of atrocities, he himself is in charge of everything.
“He’s taking billions of dollars off his own people from their food to spend on this terrible machine of cruelty. The world has to stand up to him once and for all.”
Mr Herzog said he trusted Donald Trump to end Iran’s reign of terror across the Middle East but said Israel’s military had the power and the guile to win the war solo.
Asked if his military could go it alone, he told The Sun: “Israel can. It has many capabilities. We haven’t shown everything yet.
“And we are very cautious in commenting about President Trump’s considerations or decision-making process. We respect him immensely and we leave it up to him to take the historic decision.
“What we’re doing is strictly in line with national security interests of all these major countries — all the G7 countries.
“We are showing our ingenuity and capabilities. We have a lot in stock. I don’t want to brag about it.
“I met pilots yesterday who flew 2,300 kilometres and destroyed armaments that were aimed at us.
“And now they hit the Arak nuclear plantation and other places. That’s a huge achievement.
“The world, for 80 years, has made clear that nuclear capabilities are the most dangerous thing if they are linked with an extreme, cruel, jihadist ideology.”
The president said he hoped for an historic change, possibly within the next seven days, as Israel’s vast military operation continued.
He said: “I sincerely hope that there will be a different balance that will block Iran, make clear that they cannot go on with that nasty, terrible game of theirs all over the world and in the region.
“They cannot threaten Israel’s existence and move to the bomb — it’s clear — and that is our aim.”
