My ex finished our relationship 20 years ago.

He married someone else and moved away.

We’re both in our 60s now. I never wed.

My only contact with him is seeing his posts on social media.

Recently he shared on Facebook that his mum had died.

Since then, I’ve had three vivid dreams about him.

In them, we’re a couple again and I wake up happy.

My friend said dreaming about someone means they are missing you.

Chloe Brockett hits back at troll after they mock boyfriend Jack Fincham’s jail sentence on sexy lingerie post

CHLOE Brockett furiously hit back as a troll mocked her boyfriend Jack Fincham’s jail sentence.

Towie star Chloe, 24, shared a stunning mirror selfie video of herself modeling red lingerie on Instagram today.

She wrote in her caption: “It’s nearly Valentine’s Day.. what have you girls asked for?”

But one follower left a cruel comment following Jack’s six-week jail sentence, which he received after pleading guilty to two charges of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.

He was released on bail on Wednesday, pending an appeal.

They wrote: “Roses are red, violets are blue, a Valentine who’s not jail would be nice too!”

Chloe soon retaliated: Lluckily for me mines at home.. and you’re here hating from your phone.”

Writing the troll’s username, she added: “”ears sunglasses to hide how much of an a** he is.”

While he appeals his sentence, Jack has been freed from a short stint in jail and Chloe is sticking by him throughout the next stages.

Sharing a picture on Instagram of them cuddled on the sofa, Chloe simply wrote today: “Love you then @jack_charlesf.”

In the snap, Chloe was seen snuggling into Jack’s cheek while they both stare at the camera.

She had previously cried in the courtroom when Jack’s conviction and sentence was read out, but he was released just two hours later.

A pal told The Sun: “When the judge handed Jack a custodial sentence Chloe screamed out ‘no’. She was hysterical and had to be supported by family members as she repeatedly said ‘what am I going do without my best friend?’

“Jack tried to reassure Chloe by putting a thumbs up but that did nothing to calm Chloe as she was supported out of court.”

“People forget how young Chloe is because she’s been on our screens for so long but it’s a lot to deal with for a 24 year old girl,” they added.

“She was willing to pay anything to get Jack out on bail and home with her.

“The shock of thinking they would have to spend six weeks apart has brought them closer together.

“Chloe is Jack’s rock right now.”

Jack’s sog Elvis bit runner Robert Sudell in 2022 in Swanley, Kent, and attacked a woman in Grays, Essex, last June.

In court, he admitted two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog, with one of the incidents causing injury.

After the first incident in September 2022, Jack attended a dog behaviour course, and was given three rules to follow in order to avoid further trouble.

These were to always keep the dog on the lead, for the dog to wear a muzzle when outside and to not leave the animal alone with anyone under the age of 16.

His failure to comply let to the second incident in June 2024.

As part of the sentence, Jack was also ordered to pay £3,680 – including £200 compensation fee to Robert and a £50 compensation fee to the other victim.

But in December, prior to the trial, Jack took aim at the police in now-deleted Instagram messages, claiming the authorities wanted to jail him because his dog “scared someone”.

He wrote: “So my best friend is gone in police kennels.”

Comparing his situation to that of a rapist who avoided jail because of overcrowding, he said: “This county is done. Work it out for fs sake.”

And under a pic of himself smiling with his cane corso dog Elvis, he wrote: “F*** Essex Police, scumbags and jobsworth c***s. See you soon.”

Gavin and Stacey star needs a wheel chair and is in a ‘lot of pain’ after breaking leg in nasty fall

A GAVIN and Stacey star has been left wheelchair-bound after a nasty fall – as they say they’re in ‘a lot of pain’.

Alison Steadman incurred the nasty injury after falling while in the Dubai dessert.

Alison Steadman has suffered a hairline fracture on her right leg after a concrete walkaway was allegedly uneven[/caption]

The actress – who is adored for her role as Pam in Gavin and Stacey – is believed to have suffered a hairline fracture on her right leg.

Alison also smashed her hand during the incident which has left her in a “lot of pain”.

She was attending the Desert Stanzas – an event which sees authors and guests driven out to the Arabian dessert to listen to poetry.

The concrete walkaway was allegedly uneven, and Alison slipped and was sent crashing down to the ground.

Alison, 78, explained: “The path was uneven and I went flying. At the hospital I had tablets for the pain. It’s been terrible.

“I don’t think I’ve broken my leg but I twisted it badly so there could be a hairline fracture.”

The star has been given a boot for her right foot to allow it to heal, while wearing a bandage on her wrist and hand.

She’s due to fly home to the UK on Sunday where she’ll attend London’s Whittington hospital for further tests.

Alison is in the UAE for the Emirates Airline festival of literature as she promotes her own memoir, Out of Character.

Despite her injury, Steadman was still able to enjoy a nighttime boat trip – albeit in a wheelchair – with her husband, actor Michael Elwyn.

Gavin and Stacey's Best Moments

With the news that the show is set to make an exciting return to screens, let's take a look at some of the comedy programme's biggest and best moments...

  • Smithy and Rudi’s American Boy rap – No one will ever forget when James Corden and Sheridan Smith rapped perfectly word for word the Kanye West and Estelle hit American Boy as they walked across the car park on the phone to Gavin.
  • Pam’s Vegetarian faux pas – Despite loving a cheesburger, Pam found herself caught up in a web of unexpected lies when she claimed to be Vegetarian. She is forced to keep up the secret throughout the entire show and uses hubby Mick to help her scoff meat. She is later rumbled when Stacey catches her in the act as she scoffs ham in the kitchen. Stacey says to her: “Is that ham, Pam!?… “I’ve seen you, Pam. A scotch egg here, a bit of bacon there, putting those regular sausages into the Linda McCartney box”.
  • THAT fishing trip – It remains one of the biggest mysteries in Gavin and Stacey history as to just exactly what did happen on the ill-fated fishing trip. Bryn appears to be hiding a secret as to an occurance between him and his nephew Jason which has left relations fractures. Ness’ on-off boyfriend, Dave, is the only other person to know the whole truth. Bryn did appear to allude to him and Jason lying together naked to keep warm as he said to Dave: “We’re going to have this out, once and for all, man to man, you may know what happened, David, but you don’t know why it happened! It was freezing cold, it was! And when you are that cold…”
  • Islands in the Stream – No one can ever forget the classic Karaoke performance of Islands in the Stream. Nessa and Bryn performed the track in front of all their nearest and dearest. It saw the whole pub burst into some line-dancing as they enjoyed a boozy night out.
  • The Xmas special proposal – In 2019, fans were left overjoyed when the show made a comeback but it ended on the ultimate cliffhanger. Nessa asked Smithy if she would marry him as she finally laid bare her feelings for him. Fans were gutted as the show then cut straight to the credits as they never found out just how Smithy answered. Will all be revealed in the brand new episode?

Newcastle star Joe Willock hit by vile racist abuse online after Fulham defeat as he tells thug ‘I hope you find God’

NEWCASTLE star Joe Willock has spoken out against the vile racist abuse hurled at him after his side’s loss to Fulham.

The Magpies went into half-time in the lead but saw their Champions League hopes take a massive blow as they collapsed 2-1 to a resurgent Fulham side.

The Newcastle star hit back after the disgusting abuse[/caption]

Willock was a second-half substitute in the game and nearly made an immediate impact but missed a magnificent chance while the scores were level.

But the Newcastle star was hit by disgusting racist abuse after the full-time whistle had blown.

Willock shared the disgusting messages on his Instagram story along with the caption: “I hope you find God bro.”

One cowardly user said: “You cant score from such position? Black n****.”

A second wrote: “Black slave bast***, you trash bast*** who causes trouble wherever you go.”

The disgusting user also threatened harm against Willock’s family.

The Sun has chosen not to include all of the abhorrent abuse sent to the Newcastle midfielder.

Willock looked a forlorn figure at full-time as he wiped sweat off his face with his shirt following the loss.

He has already racked up 28 games this year and the box-to-box midfielder has managed to score one goal and record two assists.

Newcastle looked to be cruising to an eighth league win out of nine after Jacob Murphy had given them a half-time lead.

Instead, a sloppy display after the break cost them as Raul Jimenez levelled before Muniz’s late dagger through the heart.

The Brazilian came off the bench to turn in a free-kick from fellow substitute Andreas Pereira eight minutes from time to give the Cottagers their first away win at Newcastle in 16 years.

Fulham’s second-half fightback has them dreaming of Europe once again after their super-sub’s dramatic winner.

The Cottagers are now back looking up the table after bouncing back from last week’s loss to Manchester United.

But a second-straight home defeat was the worst possible preparation for the Magpies ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg against Arsenal.

Howe must now lift his troops to defend their 2-0 advantage against the Gunners and seal a date with destiny at Wembley.

Daire O Baoill and Oisin Gallen combine to inspire Donegal to win over Dublin in Division 1 football league clash

DAIRE Ó BAOILL and Oisín Gallen ensured that Jimmy is still winning matches in 2025 as Donegal edged Dublin in their Division 1 opener last night.

Ó Baoill scored six points — with Gallen nabbing four — as Jim McGuinness’ troops won in Ballybofey.

Stephen McCarthy/Sportsfile

Most of their work was done in the first half as they built up a lead with the wind at their backs — meaning they led by five at the interval.

And they did so thanks to Ó Baoill’s brilliant kicking before they hung on to claim their first NFL points of the year.

It was an important victory too after Donegal missed their trip to face Kerry last weekend owing to the aftermath of Storm Éowyn. But an experimental Dublin side added to the night.

With a wind behind them that got stronger as the half went on, Donegal enjoyed large spells of possession and found themselves 0-11 to 0-6 in front by the interval.

And that lead would have been considerably more only for a host of Donegal wides.

The official count was seven at the interval — but five in succession punctured their progress midway through the half.

But Ó Baoill was the one with the accuracy, showing that two plus two is indeed six.

The Gaoth Dobhair forward knocked over half a dozen first-half points from four shots. Two were traditional types before he nailed a brace of two-pointers as the rain fell sideways to freshen things up.

Dublin gaffer Dessie Farrell made three first-half substitutions.

Tom Lahiff — who was one of the trio drafted in — was involved as soon as he came on and saw Shaun Patton save his goalbound shot.

Dublin opened with a 1-17 to 1-15 victory over Mayo at Croke Park last weekend.

And they were best served by Colm Basquel and Killian McGinnis in the opening 35 minutes with a couple of points each.

Farrell’s troops might have fancied themselves with the wind in their favour during the second half.

But Donegal were always happy enough to run and close the space.

However, the Dublin manager was managing minutes as he made another substitution after the break with Luke Breathnach coming on for Basquel in the 43rd minute. But points from Niall Scully, Basquel and Greg McEneaney brought their deficit down to just two points minutes after the restart.

It meant that the wind theory was perhaps the one to back.

Even though Shane O’Donnell and Gallen pushed Donegal on, Ciarán Kilkenny popped a score over from outside the arc to put just one in the game.

Donegal kept just in front, with O’Donnell, Gallen and Peadar Mogan all pointing.

But McEneaney took Dublin back to one point again with just 16 minutes to play.

However, the trend that developed earlier continued.

STAYING AHEAD

When Dublin looked like grasping Donegal’s tail, captain for the night Michael Langan and substitute Patrick McBrearty stretched it out to three and Donegal managed to keep ahead when it mattered most.

The result ensured that Dublin have not won a league meeting between the sides in Donegal since 2009.

They were even managed by Pat Gilroy on that occasion when they won 0-13 to 1-8 in Ballyshannon.

Now though, Donegal boss McGuinness will be glad his side are winning matches once again.
