However, Sandra went on to marry businessman Neil Wilson shortly after.

Vogue and her sibling spent most of their life with Neil acting as their guardian and they have a fantastic relationship.

The Dublin beauty published her memoir back in May and included a mountain of anecdotes and stories from her childhood spent with Neil.

However, fans all hounded Vogue with messages after the book was released asking why she had never posted a photo of him.

The 39-year-old was quick to react to followers request as she shared a selection of photos with her beloved stepdad on Instagram.

Vogue wrote in her caption: “I give you Nelso (Neil!) I get asked a lot about Nelso and what he looks like so here you go.

The doting stepdaughter gushed: “He’s a legend, lots of fun but I would still NEVER swear in front of him.

She joked: “Although @sandrawilson3614 taught me every swear word I know.”

Vogue looked stunning in the photos as she donned a neon green bodycon dress and silver stiletto heels.

The Irish star had her arms wrapped around Neil who looked super smart in an all white suit.

Vogue also attached a cute picture of Sandra and Neil smiling together.

Sandra was ultra glamorous in a sequin pink maxi skirt, chiffon shirt and a fedora.

The adorable couple looked happy-as-ever as they stood outside with a beautiful garden backdrop.

Fans all raced to the comment section to swoon over the famous family.

Hannah wrote: “Sandra he’s a keeper!!”

Brighton set to enter Harvey Elliott transfer race and have secret weapon in bid to land Liverpool star

BRIGHTON are set to enter the race for Harvey Elliott – and have identified the Liverpool star as their key summer target.

The England international’s future at Anfield is unclear, and his playing time last season was limited under Arne Slot.

That’s put him on the radar of several clubs in England, and abroad, who are keen to secure the services of a versatile player who can operate in midfield or out wide.

SunSport understands Brighton are now tracking the 22-year-old and see him as a player who can help take them to the next level.

And sources say the presence of James Milner, Liverpool’s former vice-captain, could help persuade Elliott to make the switch to the south coast.

Brighton are believed to have funds to spend and would be willing to pay up to £40million for Elliott who is desperate for more first-team football.

The Seagulls are also likely to lose Joao Pedro, who is being linked to Newcastle and Arsenal in a move which would free up additional cash for Brighton to spend on new players.

Reports last week linked Elliott with a move to Nottingham Forest.

But it was claimed he turned down the option of a move to the City Ground, as he felt Forest wouldn’t suit his playing style.

There would be no such issue at Brighton, who are renowned for their attacking and open style of play.

Harvey Elliott's 2024-25 Liverpool season statistics.

Liverpool fans will be torn over any potential exit of Elliott who continues to be one of Liverpool’s brightest young talents.

He demonstrated his versatility and creativity throughout last season’s campaign, building on his breakthrough season in the 2022–23 campaign.

Although not a regular starter in every match, Elliott was a key squad player, often coming on as a substitute.

He made 45 appearances across all competitions, contributing four goals and three assists.

Slot is believed to be undecided on Elliott, although sources told the Sun the Dutchman would be unlikely to stand in his way if he wanted to leave and if a deal could be agreed that suited club and player.

Elliott could head for the Anfield exit door along with Jarrell Quansah, who is being linked with a £40million move to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Reds are raising cash to fund a British record transfer fee for Florian Wirtz – the German is set for a medical on Merseyside.

Alexander Isak is also on the radar but Newcastle will demand a fee close to £200million.

Safety warning issued to parents over kids using garden slides and trampolines during hot weather

With UK temperatures set to soar to 34 degrees and families ready to spend more time outside, an urgent safety warning has been issued to all parents.

And particularly if your little darlings are going to be having fun on a garden slide or a trampoline this weekend, you’ll need to listen up.

Experts at Outdoor Toys have stressed the urgency of checking for any signs of fatigue on plastic furniture, as this could lead to burns on children’s skin[/caption]

Experts at Outdoor Toys have shared a stern warning to parents – and it involves inspecting outdoor play equipment carefully as the heat rises.

According to the pros, prolonged sun exposure can cause damage and affect the safety of such garden equipment over time.

Alex Price, product manager at Outdoor Toys, highlighted the importance of regular slide safety checks, as he warned: “Slides are a garden staple in warmer weather, but over time, repeated sun exposure can cause plastics, especially cheaper ones, to become brittle, chalky, or cracked.

“This not only affects how the slide looks, but can lead to sharp edges or structural weaknesses that put children at real risk of injury.”

Alex advised parents to inspect slides regularly, as he stressed: “Before each use, run your hands along the sliding surface and sides.

“Check for any signs of fatigue, such as cracks, fading, warping, or signs that the plastic feels brittle.

“Make sure all bolts are tight and the equipment feels sturdy. If anything seems off, it’s best to stop using it and contact the manufacturer.”

Check all outdoor equipment

But it’s not just your slides that need to be checked – according to Alex, there’s more items that also need to be given attention.

He advised: “All outdoor equipment, including swings, climbing frames, monkey bars, and trampolines, should be regularly checked before allowing your children to play during hot weather.”

Alex shared a hot metal warning, as he explained: “Outdoor play equipment with metal features can heat up rapidly in direct sunlight and reach temperatures that can cause burns when handled.

“Before allowing your children to play on outdoor equipment, check the metal surface with the back of your hand to test the temperature.”

He also recognised: “Burns from overheated metal equipment are common during the summer months. Metal handlebars, metal slides, and trampoline springs can maintain significant heat during hot temperatures and cause harm.”

As well as this, Alex acknowledged that “UV exposure doesn’t affect all toys the same way” and stressed that cheap toys without UV-resistant are more likely to show signs of wear and tear.

“If your slide or swing set looks faded or chalky, it could be a sign the plastic is starting to break down, and may no longer be safe to use,” he recognised.

Storing garden toys correctly

But even with UV-resistant plastic, proper storage matters.

How to keep your kids safe in warm weather

Hot weather is fabulous, a wonderful trip to the beach or enjoying time in the garden! However, when temperatures skyrocket it can become dangerous. Save The Children have compiled 10 heat safety tips for keeping children safe in a heatwave.

1. Light clothing, heavy suncream
Choose lightweight, light-coloured, and breathable fabrics (such as cotton), and use lots of suncream to protect you and your child from the heat and potential sunburn.

2. Drink lots of fluids
Remember to drink plenty of liquids, regardless of your activity level. Check your baby’s nappy for concentrated (dark in color) urine, which can indicate dehydration.

3. Get lots of rest
Try and limit activities. Make sure that children get lots of rest when they are active. NHS advises to “try to keep out of the sun between 11am to 3pm”.

4. Keep children entertained
Children may become anxious or restless from being kept indoors. Plan for indoor activities and games.

5. Reassure children
Children may be stressed by the heat. Remember that children take their cues from their parents and caregivers, so try to keep calm and answer their questions openly and honestly. Also stick to regular bath and sleep times for your child.

6. House safety/cooling tips
During the day, keep rooms cool by closing blinds/curtains, especially in rooms facing the sun. Using a fan to circulate air in the room is beneficial.Review your child’s school sun policy.

7. Never leave children unsupervised in parked cars

Even in less threatening temperatures, vehicles can rapidly heat up to dangerous temperatures. A child left inside a car is at risk of severe heat-related illness or death, even if the windows are cracked open.

8. Stay informed

Listen to local news and weather channels for health, safety and weather-related updates.

9. Know how to identify heat-related illnesses

Look for signs of heat-related illnesses/conditions such as heat stroke, exhaustion, cramps, and severe sunburn. If children show these symptoms, seek medical assistance. Refer to the NHS website for a complete list, and how to remedy them.

10. Read the NHS guidance for babies

The NHS advises giving your baby a cool bath before bedtime and keeping nightwear to a minimum. Your baby will sleep most comfortably at room temperature between 16C and 20C, a nursery thermometer will help you monitor the temperature of the baby’s room.

“We always advise keeping outdoor toys in shaded areas or storing them indoors when not in use.

“If that’s not possible, a cover or tarp works well to prevent UV damage and keep surfaces cool to the touch.

“A quick check and a bit of care can go a long way in preventing serious accidents, saving the cost of replacement and keeping outdoor fun safe all summer long,” added Alex.

‘Disc-shaped’ UFO spotted by US military in eerie footage newly released to public – ‘It has implications that are huge’

EERIE new footage taken by the US military has captured a never-before-seen disc-shaped UFO mysteriously darting through the air.

Independent journalist Jeremy Corbell leaked the video and said he was stunned by the “implications” of the jaw-dropping sight.

The object appears to zoom through the clouds before abruptly going the opposite direction[/caption]

He published the video on his social media on Tuesday, which captures the unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) soaring through the clouds.

Corbell said the clip has made history because of the object’s shape.

Most UFOs caught on camera have a sort of pill shape, but this one looks straight out of a science-fiction movie.

The video was taken by the military on November 23, 2020, and it was released after Corbell spent years verifying the footage with inside sources.

He said that US officials themselves admitted the UAP was a “disc” with an unknown origin.

They said the craft “displayed abrupt movement and intelligent control” as it can be seen flying to the right before suddenly changing directions.

The UFO also noticeably doesn’t give off any heat signatures or signs of thermal propulsion like a normal aircraft would.

Between the never-before-seen shape and the bizarre movement, Corbell said the sighting “has implications that are huge,” he told the Daily Mail.

“This is the first time in history that military filmed footage of a disc-shaped UAP, designated as such by the military, has been captured on camera and released to the public,” he said.

Corbell explained that it was “astonishing” that a UFO of that shape could nimbly dart through the air without emitting heat signatures.

“It’s a perfect-looking disc, maybe it’s an orb,” he told NBC News.

The object is believed to be between 200 and 400 meters in diameter, but Corbell said that the size is debated.

It was captured flying around the border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan, according to coordinates seen in the corner of the video.

The military still considers the object a UAP and continues to investigate the sighting, according to Corbell.

CORBELL’S CALL

The journalist claims that he’s spoken with service members who had first-hand experience witnessing the footage.

He called for Congress to respond to the video and said that military whistleblowers are ready to testify and describe what they saw.

Corbell hopes that releasing this footage will encourage transparency from officials who witness UAPs.

“The source is legit. We know it’s real,” Corbell’s cohost George Knapp said in their podcast Weaponized.

“It was not supposed to be made public. But it should’ve been.”

Corbell previously told The Sun that UFOs have been kept a secret so that militaries can adapt their technology for warfare.

And he released disturbing details about a “huge alien aircraft” that was caught hovering over a US military base.

What is the 'Tic Tac'?

THE Tic Tac UFO is a mysterious flying object that U.S. pilots and experts have claimed to have witnessed over the last few decades.

The first famous sighting with footage took place off the San Diego coast in 2004, after pilots on the USS Nimitz carrier strike group detected the object.

Commander David Fravor believed it to be something beyond human technology – as it possessed extreme acceleration and no visible propulsion.

Then in 2015, pilots on the USS Roosevelt off the East Coast captured footage of unidentified moving objects.

They also showed no means of propulsion and moved at high speeds.

Speculation online has caused alien fanatics to look for more Tic Tac-shaped space paraphernalia, including a Russian military base which appeared to be a Tic Tac UFO “charging hub”.

The Pentagon has also acknowledged other declassified videos of encounters, but have been unable to explain them.

Newlyweds who stabbed groom’s mum in ‘frenzied’ attack while wearing creepy Poundland animal masks are jailed

A NEWLYWED couple who stabbed the groom’s stepmum while wearing creepy animal masks have been jailed.

Wasif Hussain, 21 and his wife Nabela Tabassum, 19, donned the giraffe masks from Poundland to launch into the “frenzied” attack.

Hussain repeatedly stabbed Arifa Nazmin and bludgeoned her with a hammer as his wife restrained her new mother-in-law.

He also strangled and punched her during the horror in Birmingham, which was caught on camera.

The couple have now been found jailed after they were found guilty of attempted murder following a trial.

Hussain was caged for 15 years while his wife received a nine-year jail term.

In her victim impact statement, Arifa said: “I still panic when the door is knocked, I can feel the fear in my body.

“I’m terrified they have returned to finish me off. I will live with this for the rest of my life.”

Birmingham Crown Court heard they had been living at the home after they got married in December 2023.

But they soon hatched the evil plot to kill Arifa after they were accused of not doing any chores and treating the house like a hotel.

The stepmum also claimed Tabassum could not wash up properly.

The court was told the pair snapped when they were asked to leave the home and began assembling a chilling kill kit.

This included a can of Zoflora disinfect, gloves and a lighter all bought from a One Stop in a bid to cover their tracks.

The monster couple planned to burn Arifa’s body in the garden after killing her.

They also bought the Poundland giraffe masks on January 29 – the day they launched the savage attack.

As Tabassum held Arifa down, Hussain plunged a knife in and battered his stepmum over the head with a hammer.

The bride told her husband “kill her, kill her” as Hussain branded Arifa a “gold digger”.

He also chillingly told her: “You will die for everything you have done.”

A camera inside the home captured the victim’s terrified screams as she desperately fought back.

Brave Arifa managed to survive the horror by convincing them to go upstairs before she called for help.

Both Tabassum and Hussain fled but were discovered in a Travelodge in Bolton the following day and arrested.
