US bombs three Iranian nuke bases in historic strike as Trump hails ‘very successful’ blitz & will address nation

THE US military has bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities in an historic strike against the Islamic Republic.

America has now directly joined Israel’s campaign of bombing Iran as they both seek to obliterate Tehran’s nuclear program.

Posting on Truth Social, President Donald Trump said US bombers targeted Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan enrichment sites – all key to Iran’s doomsday project.

He wrote: “We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

“A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow.”

Trump added that “all planes are safely on their way home.

“Congratulations to our great American Warriors,” he added.

The bombings come just two days after Trump said he would decide “within two weeks” whether to join key ally Israel in attacking Iran.

In a phone call to Axios, Trump said: “We had a great success tonight. Your Israel is much safer now.”

Though Tehran had threatened that a US intervention in the Middle East would be “a recipe for all-out war” in the region.

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported early Sunday that attacks targeted the country’s Isfahan and Natanz nuclear sites.

IRNA quoted Akbar Salehi, Isfahan’s deputy governor in charge of security affairs, saying there had been attacks around the sites. He did not elaborate.

Another official confirmed an attack targeting Iran’s underground Fordow nuclear site.

Trump added in a later post that he would address the nation at 10pm ET, writing: “This is an HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ISRAEL, AND THE WORLD. IRAN MUST NOW AGREE TO END THIS WAR. THANK YOU!”

The US military used their flagship B-2 bombers to drop six GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) 30,000lb “bunker-buster” bombs on Fordow, officials revealed.

They said the assessments indicated that the facility had been “taken off the table”.

While 30 BGM-109 Tomahawk Land-Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAMs) were launched from submarines with the US Navy at the Natanz and Isfahan Nuclear Facilities.

It marked the first combat use of GBU-57 MOP in the history of warfare.

Earlier on Saturday, there were reports that six US B-2 bombers — which carry so-called “bunker buster” bombs — were headed out of the US.

On Friday, the US deployed six B-2 long-range stealth bombers capable of dropping the bunker-buster bombs required to wipe out Iran’s most secretive nuclear facility – Fordow.

Israel said its airstrikes on Iran will not stop until it destroys the regime’s capability of enriching uranium to weapons-grade and making a nuclear weapon.

At the heart of its nuclear program, the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, is encased in steel more than 300 feet beneath solid rock.

Israel’s arsenal lacked huge bunker-buster bombs needed to destroy the underground enrichment facility – some 125 miles from capital Tehran.

The attack now threatens to reignite America’s war with Yemen’s Houthi rebels, the last member of Iran’s self-described Axis of Resistance able to launch regular attacks.

The Houthis on Saturday warned they would resume attacking American ships in the Red Sea corridor if the US joined the Israeli campaign.

Iran's Nuclear Sites

Arak plant – satellite pictures of this plant near the Iranian town of Arak surfaced over 20 years ago.

It contains a heavy-water reactor with plutonium that can be used for nuclear bombs.

Bushehr nuclear power station – this power plant is a combination of Russian and German engineering.

It’s nuclear reactor is operating at 100% power and the site is home to enriched uranium, used for nuclear bombs.

Gachin uranium mine – home to uranium ore concentrate, or yellowcake, which can be transformed into enriched uranium ready for nuke bomb assembling.

Isfahan conversion plant – yellowcake is converted here into three dangerous substances.

Hexafluoride gase used in the enrichment process, uranium oxide used to fuel reactors and metal used in the cores of nuclear bombs.

Natanz uranium enrichment plant – this is Iran’s largest enrichment base.

It’s made up of three underground buildings and is closely watched by the international community.

Parchin military site – south of Tehran, this site is focused on research and the production of ammo, rockets and explosives.

Concerns have been raised that it is also used as part of Iran’s nuclear weapon development.

Qom uranium enrichment plant – a heavily fortified and initially secret facility where Iran carries out uranium enrichment.

Huge blaze engulfs warehouse with smoke visible for miles as urgent warning issued to locals & firefighters battle fire

AN ENORMOUS fire has engulfed a warehouse sending smoke billowing into the sky tonight.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) has issued urgent warnings to locals to keep their windows and doors shut as around 80 firefighters tackle the devastating blaze at the two-storey warehouse in Enfield, north London.

Residents have even reported seeing smoke rising high into the night sky from miles away.

At present, 12 fire engines are fighting the blaze which is “currently producing a greater amount of smoke”, LFB said.

The emergency service added that it expects its crews to be at the scene for several hours.

Dramatic footage shows a number of fire engines surrounding the warehouse as smoke billows high above into the night sky.

In the background, ambulances can also be seen parked nearby – it is currently not known if there have been any injuries from the blaze.

The fire can also be seen slowly creeping its way through the roof of the structure – which appears to have caved in – sending even more smoke high above the warehouse.

Surrounding the burning structure are a number of other buildings, including one bearing branding from supermarket Tesco while another appears to belong to delivery company Yodel.

Cars can also be seen driving along the M25 motorway just metres away from the blaze.

Countless locals have taken to social media to share pictures of the fire, with some images showing the inferno sending smoke upwards in large dark plumes.

LFB said its crews received the first of around 30 calls at approximately 8.05pm on Saturday evening.

Fire crews were then deployed from a number of stations across London in order to tackle the inferno, including from Enfield, Edmonton, Chingford and Woodford, the force said.

It added that its crews are being assisted by Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Service and Essex County Fire & Rescue Service.

Two 32-metre turntable ladders from Tottenham and Soho fire stations have also been utilised, LFB added.

They are being “used as a water tower to help extinguish the fire from above”.

LFB said it has also deployed a “Hose Layer Unit” as part of its response, helping to increase the amount of water available for firefighting operations.

In a statement on Saturday evening, LFB confirmed that the cause of the devastating blaze was not yet known.

Mollison Avenue, the road leading to the warehouses, has been shut, with diversion routes now in place.

In an update posted shortly after midnight, Enfield Council said the fire was now “contained”.

Watch moment iconic car maker enters space race after successfully launching reusable rocket

THIS is the spectacular moment one of the world’s largest car manufacturers successfully launched a reusable rocket.

Honda R&D – the research and development arm of Honda Motor – landed a rocket for the first time on Tuesday – after it reached an altitude of nearly 1,000 feet.

The experimental reusable rocket reached an altitude of 890 feet during its test flight – staying aloft for 56.6 seconds.

It landed just 14.6 inches from its target touchdown point at the carmaker’s test facility in northern Japan, according to Honda.

Weighing in at 2,890 pounds when fully fuelled (1,984 pounds dry), the rocket is 20.7 feet tall and measured 2.8 feet in diameter.

Honda’s rocket has become the first prototype rocket outside the US and China to pull off a flight like this.

The company said the launch and landing test demonstrated “key technologies essential for rocket reusability, such as flight stability during ascent and descent, as well as landing capability”.

The Japanese car manufacturer first revealed in 2021 that it had been working on a rocket engine for at least two years.

After six years of development, this successful test marked a major step in Honda’s push into space innovation.

But Honda is not alone in the race beyond Earth.

Other car makers like Geely, GM, Hyundai-Kia, Toyota and Venturi are partnering with space tech companies.

Unlike Honda and Venturi that have developed rockets or space vehicles, Toyota has been involved more in robotics and space exploration tech.

Geely, GM and Hyundai-Kia are partnering with aerospace firms or investing in space tech startups – rather than independently developing rockets yet.

It comes after talk of a merger between car rivals Nissan and Honda collapsed in February.

But the door to collaboration remains wide open.

Nissan’s CEO Ivan Espinosa said in March that the company is “very open” to partnerships.

The company’s chief performance officer, Guillaume Cartier, said Nissan had “never stopped” talking with its Japanese rival, confirming that the two continue working towards a potential partnership.

Espinosa, who officially took over on April 1, said his company faces up to five simultaneous crises – including a damaged brand, low morale and the execution of a sweeping turnaround.

Speaking at a company event, he said: “The way we are seeing partners is broadly, not only thinking about cars but how to push Nissan into the next era of technology.”

Toshihiro Mibe has been the CEO of Honda Motor Co. since 2021.

Rail minister Peter Hendy facing private prosecution for texting while driving vintage double-decker bus

RAIL minister Peter Hendy is facing a private prosecution for texting while driving a busload of sightseers.

Police dropped the case against Lord Hendy citing “insufficient evidence” — despite him apologising.

But passenger John Sarson, 68, who made the initial complaint to cops, has applied to prosecute.

The businessman said he saw Lord Hendy texting at the wheel of a vintage double-decker bus near Westminster Bridge in central London on March 28.

In April, a spokesman for the 72-year-old peer said: “Last month Peter Hendy used his phone while driving. He has apologised in full for this error of judgment and has contacted the police.”

A source said: “John is baffled over how someone can admit to police he committed an offence but not face prosecution.”

The Met Police initially said in April the case had been closed because of a lack of evidence.

But Lord Hendy then reported himself to the Met which reopened the case before closing it again last month.

John is waiting to hear from the City of London magistrates’ court if his legal bid is successful.

Lord Hendy was approached for comment.
