Ferne McCann enjoys glam day at the races as jailed acid attacker ex caught being injected with drugs

FERNE McCann enjoyed a picture-perfect day at the races as her ex Arthur Collins was embroiled in a prison drug scandal.

The TOWIE alum gushed over her “gorgeous’ day at Royal Ascot as she posted a series of images showing her in a plunging mint green gown.

Yet, at the same time, The Sun exclusively reported how the father to her seven-year-old daughter Sunday, who was jailed for an acid attack, had been caught getting a suspected steroid injection in his cell.

Video of Arthur Collins, 32, taken on a smuggled phone, came as he was linked to drug drops by drone at jails in Herts and Greater Manchester.

Meanwhile, mum of two Ferne, 34, was letting her hair down at the iconic annual sporting event.

In her caption, she ignored the breaking scandal and wrote: “Royal Ascot you were gorgeous.

“One of my favourite days. No big wins sadly although I did pocket £14.50, better than nothing right.

“Thank you for having me @ascotracecourse @hunt_communications here’s to next year.”

Images showed her in a plunging silk slip dress with cap sleeve detail and a ruched design on the front which accentuated her toned figure.

Ferne paired the frock with white point-toe wedge shoes and a feathered fascinator.

She left her brunette locks in natural waves flowing over her shoulders and kept her make-up natural.

Ferne welcomed eldest daughter Sunday with acid attacker Arthur in 2017.

Earlier that year, Ferne’s then-boyfriend Arthur was charged with a London nightclub acid attack that happened in April.

Ferne announced her pregnancy shortly after his arrest, stating the relationship was over and that she planned to raise their baby alone.

Eight years ago, Arthur was found guilty of five counts of grievous bodily harm and nine of actual bodily harm, and sentenced to 20 years behind bars with an extra five on licence.

TOWIE STARS SPIN OFF

WITH the announcement TOWIE will return in 2025 for two new series, it's good news for some former ITVBE stars, too

TWO of the show’s best loved former stars will celebrate their own big life moments with a spin off series featuring Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou.

Their new show title is currently unconfirmed.

The pair, who first met and found love on TOWIE back in 2014, finally say ‘I Do’ in a three part special produced by Objective Entertainment.

The show will follow on from the success of their Baby Steps series.

JAIL JAB

This weekend, we reported how Arthur appeared to be seen being injected in his bum in his jail cell.

In the clip, he is asked, “Hey, bruv, what are you doing?”, by a fellow prisoner — before replying: “Injecting.”

The exchange was caught on our exclusive video, showing laughing Arthur apparently receiving a jab in his buttock from another lag.

He could face disciplinary action after the body-building drug was seemingly sneaked into the jail, along with a handset used to record footage in his cell.

Collins was recently switched from The Mount Prison — where the footage was taken — amid fears he was plotting to import drugs using drones.

And it comes after a jail anti-corruption team found illicit items at his new home — HMP Buckley Hall, near Rochdale.

A source said: “Collins has been in trouble constantly and doesn’t seem to care. He goes around like he is the big ‘I am’ and as if he rules the roost.”

His actions will sicken the 22 victims of his 2017 attack when he hurled acid across in an East London nightclub — leaving 16 people with serious burns.

Inside Conor McGregor’s week in Ibiza from Katie Price dance, punching Wayne Lineker’s pal and meeting ex-Liverpool boss

CONOR MCGREGOR has had quite the few days in Ibiza.

The former two-division UFC champion, who hasn’t fought in nearly FOUR YEARS, has been living it up on the Balearic Island this week.

The 36-year-old was caught on camera punching a man in Pacha nightclub on Tuesday morning[/caption]

And he’s certainly made his presence felt, making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

SunSport exclusively revealed ‘The Notorious’ PUNCHED a man in the VIP section of famous nightclub Pacha early on Tuesday morning.

The Irishman hit his fellow clubgoer twice before the punter, who it later was revealed was a pal of O Beach owner Wayne Lineker, was dragged away and kicked out of the plush club.

McGregor, 36, had a much less controversial start to his week on his island getaway.

The UFC’s former poster boy partied at Lineker’s celeb hotspot O Beach on Monday, setting up shop in the VVIP area.

The Dubliner was seen hanging out with former glamour model Katie Price and Tottenham star Kevin Danso.

McGregor was clearly loving the attention he was getting as he puffed on an expensive-looking cigar.

Ireland‘s first and only UFC champion enjoyed a big evening out at Ushuaia in Playa d’en Bossa with his Black Forge Inn FC team-mates on Tuesday.

And he had one of the best spots in the house to watch Calvin Harris, who was playing one of his several gigs at the venue this summer, spin the decks in front of thousands of revellers.

The party didn’t stop there for Mystic Mac, who made the short walk across the road to live it up at Hi Ibiza.

A few days later, the MMA superstar found himself rubbing shoulders with former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

The pair shared a picture of them posing together.

McGregor has been calling a luxury yacht docked in Ibiza Town home for the last few days.

And he was spotted on Friday having a dance with his fiancee and the mother of his four children, Dee Devlin, on the deck as they soaked in the view from the vessel.

Punch shame

The identity of the man punched by McGregor was revealed by Wayne Lineker, brother of ex-Match of the Day host Gary, to be long-time O Beach employee Joe Gomez a few days after the incident.

And Lineker launched a staunch defence of his employee in a since-deleted Instagram post slamming McGregor’s antics.

It read: “Thought about this post a lot.

“This is my very close friend who has worked at Ocean for eight years, he has the most special heart and in all of the years that I’ve known him he has never raised his voice once.

“He took two punches from Conor McGregor in Pacha for absolutely no reason.

“Let me introduce you to Joe Gooomez (sic). He took the punches like a champion.

“I’ve since deleted my post of Conor at Ocean on Sunday. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

“We at Ocean Beach Ibiza will always put our family first #wearefamily.”

McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the UFC cage since breaking his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

He was set to make his grand comeback last June against long-time rival Michael Chandler but withdrew from the Sin City showdown with a broken left pinky toe.

His future with the UFC has remains a mystery as last November he was found civilly liable of assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin Hotel in 2018.

But the former fan favourite is seemingly hellbent on making the walk to the octagon again.

B&Q slashes £11 ornament that instantly makes your patio seem bigger – it creates a ‘bold’ look & lasts all year round

IF your stuck for space on your garden patio, don’t worry as a budget buy can help make it seem bigger.

Gardening pros have shared their top tips for maximising your outdoor space this summer.

A simple step can help make the most cramped patios feel big and spacious (Stock image)[/caption]

The experts at Living Etc. broke down the best ways to make your patio seem bigger.

Garden designer Karen McClure explained that the methods are “tried and tested”.

So while it may seem like adding plants to your space will cause clutter, it actually works to maximise your space.

And Karen recommends one tree in particular for levelling up your patio.

“Use ornamental feature trees,” she advised anyone struggling with limited outdoor space.

“Multi-stem specimens in particular can be kept to a controlled height in a large feature pot, and can create a lovely focal point as well as give interest at a higher level. Be bold.”

She added that the number of plant varieties should be kept to a minimum.

“Too many varieties can create a busy and chaotic feel, whereas a simple planting palette will feel harmonised, soothing, and calm,” she said.

And if you’re looking for a budget-friendly ornamental tree, B&Q has just the thing.

The Ornamental Prunus Incisa “Kojo-no-Mai” Fuji Cherry Tree is available for just £10.79.

Usually referred to as the cherry tree, this plant has a compact, rounded shape and a gently spreading habit.

This makes it suitable for planting in small gardens or areas with limited space.

Katie pointed out that placing your trees in sleek planters makes sure they only take up a minimal amount of floor space.

You can also opt to light your plants at night, giving your space a new lease of life after dusk.

She also recommended incorporating mirrors around your patio to reflect your plants.

Garden features that add the most value to a house

A well-kept garden can add anywhere between 5-20% to the value of a property.

Sellhousefast.uk carried out a study and consulted 36 estate agents, garden designers and property professionals from across the UK.

And the experts revealed the garden feature which adds the most value to a property is a shed.

  1. Shed – 82%
  2. Patio or paving – 76%
  3. Secure fencing, walls or gates – 72%
  4. Outdoor lighting – 66%
  5. Sturdy decking – 62%
  6. Water features eg. fountain or pond – 58%
  7. Modern garden furniture – 54%
  8. Artificial lawn/grass – 40%

This makes it seem like there are even more plants around your patio area.

Mirrors also help to bounce light and create the illusion of additional space.

And a £4 Home Bargains buy will help to add a “whimsical touch” to your garden.

Plus another tree helps to add privacy to your garden, and it’s now cheaper than ever.

Or you can add a fast-growing flower to cover eyesore walls and fences in your garden.

‘We had a laugh about it’ – Finn Russell reveals Johnny Sexton rivalry was ‘put to bed’ by Andy Farrell after book jabs

FINN RUSSELL is glad to be in the same corner as his former out-half rival Johnny Sexton in the Lions’ quest for a series triumph in Australia.

When the Lions toured South Africa four years ago, Ireland legend Sexton missed out on selection as Warren Gatland looked to Russell, Dan Biggar and Owen Farrell as his fly-half options.

The Kiwi also drafted Marcus Smith into the set-up as injury cover.

Addressing this topic in his autobiography ‘Obsessed’, Sexton said Scottish place-kicker Russell had been ‘the darling of the media’ during the 2021 Six Nations in the build-up to the tour.

Last October, Sexton called Russell ‘flashy’ and stated he would choose Farrell as Lions No  10.

Sexton is now working with Russell in his capacity as an assistant coach to Andy Farrell, Owen’s dad.

Yet the pair stressed in recent interviews that there was no bad blood and Russell reiterated the point after the 28-24 defeat by Argentina on Friday.

The Scot said: “It was never a thing almost. When we came in we had a laugh straight away and Andy kind of put it to bed, so that was good — not that it was ever going to be an issue, I don’t believe.

“We’re all here with the same goal, which is to win the series.

“It’s been good working with Johnny.

“I’m happy to bounce questions off him and chat to him about what he’s seeing, because with the numbers we’ve had he’s had to jump in sometimes.

“So it’s been quite funny being on the same training side.

“It’s good to have a guy with experience here. All the coaches seem open to have conversations and have chats. It’s a good environment to be in.”

There is a strong Irish presence within the Lions squad.

Following the addition of Finlay Bealham earlier this month as a replacement for Russell’s Scotland team-mate Zander Fagerson, there are 16 Ireland players on Lions duty ahead of the trip to Australia.

The fact there are so many people from the one set-up — five of the seven Lions coaches for the tour also come from the Irish group — could make it difficult to break down barriers in a squad that draws players from four nations.

However, Russell does not see that being an issue.

He said: “I wouldn’t say there’s barriers. Players are going to have players they’re more friendly with.

“If you’ve got a pair of old Leinster boys, you know each other very well.

“I know the Scottish boys, English guys know the English guys and the Welsh are the same.

“You’re always going to get these pockets where you’re more comfortable with each other. Over the last few days everyone’s mixing really well.

“When you get into it you become a team so quickly. It does change so quickly and you build these relationships so quickly.

“Whether they’re an Irish set-up or an English, Scottish or whatever it is, I don’t think it makes too much of a difference. We’re all here with the same goal and trying to pull in the same direction.”

And whilst you may think that forking out for a fan or air conditioner to combat the balmy temperatures will cost you a fortune, Tesco has a purse friendly offering in stores.

The Russell Hobbs Wireless Desk Fan is priced at just £24.99, making it hundreds of pounds cheaper than Dyson’s popular fans.

The handy gadget comes with three speed settings, low medium and high, and has a two hour battery life, so you can keep cool whilst on the go.

It also features USB charging, so you can use it non-stop and stylish ambient lighting.

A description reads: “This wireless desk fan helps you stay cool and comfortable, creating a relaxed and productive environment – whatever the weather.

“Enjoy fuss-free cooling at your desk or bedside with 3 speed settings – low, medium, and high – designed for use in close proximity.

“Choose the airflow that suits your comfort, whether it’s a gentle breeze, a steady flow, or a cooler setting for warmer days”.

Plus the fan is bladeless, making it easy to clean and safer for use around children.

And the Tesco product is over £200 cheaper than Dyson’s Cool™ CF1 desk fan which is currently on sale for £249.

The Dyson fan comes in a sleek white or silver design, and has a sleep mode, so it can keep you cool all night, without waking you up.

More Budget Fans

Lidl’s Silvercrest Portable Fan is a great way to keep cool whilst on the go.

The nifty gadget comes in a variety of different colours, including green and yellow and is priced at just £7.99 making it perfect for anyone trying to pinch pennies.

It also has a tiltable fan head and a practical base, so you can stand the fan up whilst sitting at your desk.

The budget buy also comes with a charging cable and a three-year-warranty, so you can guarantee it will keep you cool for years to come.

How to keep cool in hot weather

Most of us welcome hot weather, but when it's too hot, there are health risks. Here are three ways to keep cool according to the NHS...

Keep out of the heat if you can.

If you have to go outside, stay in the shade especially between 11am and 3pm, wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter.

Cool yourself down.

Have cold food and drinks, avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks, and have a cool shower or put cool water on your skin or clothes.

Keep your living space cool.

Close windows during the day and open them at night when the temperature outside has gone down. Electric fans can help if the temperature is below 35 degrees. Check the temperature of rooms, especially where people at higher risk live and sleep.

Lidl is also currently selling a Silvercrest Tower fan for £69.99, a whopping £280 cheaper than Dyson’s £350 bladeless fan.

Aldi is also selling a Dyson dupe, with its Ambiano Bladeless Fan currently priced at £39.99.

The modern design bladeless fan has three speed settings, high, medium, low, plus three modes: normal, nature and sleep.

You can customise your sleep with the various modes and tailor it to your own temperature needs during the day – and most importantly, for a good night’s sleep at bedtime.

Plus, with its bladeless design, it’s safe around little people or pets.

Naga Munchetty ‘had talks with Sky News’ but her ‘tough & difficult reputation’ scuppered bid to escape ‘toxic’ BBC

NAGA Munchetty has “had talks with Sky News” but her “difficult reputation” ruined her chances of leaving the BBC, insiders claimed.

It comes amid the Sun’s exposé on toxicity at the morning show, with editor Richard Frediani on leave amid bullying claims.

It comes amid the Sun’s exposé on toxicity at the morning show[/caption]

Naga, 50, has also come under fire and was rapped for allegedly bullying a junior staffer on BBC Breakfast last year.

She is also said to have made a crude quip about a sex act in an off-air break on Radio 5 Live in 2022.

Now industry insiders have claimed Naga had been in talks with Sky News and radio station LBC in an attempt to ditch the Beeb.

Sources alleged discussions were quickly scrapped because network bosses were weary of the presenter’s “tough” persona.

“There were quite a few discussions with both Sky and LBC but then it was decided by both that they wouldn’t go any further,” an insider told the Mail.

“She is quite sharp and it is perhaps not what they were looking for, so it all kind of fell apart.

“Rightly or wrongly, Naga has a reputation for being quite tough and difficult at times – they didn’t like that.”

This comes as Naga – now at the centre of a BBC Breakfast toxicity row – has been rapped for two incidents in three years.

Yesterday the presenter opened up and said she hates bullies in a new interview.

She said: “I was no angel but I hated seeing people bullied.

“I remember there were a couple of kids in school who were bullied and I just hated it.

“So I’d always kind of be that person who would speak to everyone.”

Earlier this week, The Sun exclusively reported how things were not all rosy on the show’s iconic red sofa.

We told how anchor Naga had been hauled in by show bosses amid allegations she bullied a junior staffer.

Naga was also hauled in over a sex jibe made at Radio 5 Live where she is said to have used a crude slang term for a sex act during an off-air break — before asking a colleague if they had done it.

The alleged remark stunned the Radio 5 Live studio and led to Naga being hauled before bosses.

She was reprimanded by a senior producer but no formal action was taken.

The comment became widely known at 5 Live, with one source describing the 2022 incident as: “Crass, inappropriate and wildly unprofessional. The person felt embarrassed.”

We can also reveal that on BBC Breakfast last year, she was rapped for the alleged bullying of a woman, who was the most junior staffer.

As part of the bullying behaviour, the star is said to have falsely accused her of stealing, which led to a closed-door showdown.

The source said: “It was humiliating. There was no evidence, no apology. The woman left not long after, completely demoralised.”

Another insider added: “That wasn’t an isolated incident. It really is the tip of the iceberg.”

Naga is the first female presenter to be caught up in the series of scandals which have gripped the BBC.

Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima had to leave over bullying claims, and Wynne Evans quit the live tour over the word “spitroast”, which can be a sexual reference.

But the broadcaster is now facing questions of double standards.

A Breakfast insider said: “If a male presenter made a sexual comment like that or falsely accused someone of theft, he’d be out the door. But with Naga, it gets brushed off.”

A BBC spokesperson said: “While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.”

Breakfast is already in turmoil amid claims of a “deeply divided workplace” and off-air tensions between Naga and co-host Charlie Stayt.

The flagship show’s editor Richard Frediani is also at the centre of a formal bullying investigation.

It was confirmed the BBC was conducting an internal review into his behaviour and general allegations of toxicity on the show.

An internal email was sent to the BBC Breakfast team thanking them for their “professionalism” as they continue their work amid the row.

Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?

The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:

Jon Kay – Since 2022

Sally Nugent – Since 2021

Charlie Stayt – Since 2006

Naga Munchetty – Since 2014

Carol Kirkwood – Since 1997
