SPAIN’s World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso has told a court that former football chief Luis Rubiales’ forced kiss “stained one of the happiest days of my life.”

Hermoso, 34, was the first witness to appear at a court in Madrid as Rubiales’ sexual assault trial began on Monday.

Rubiales, 47, is accused of sexual assault and coercion over the kiss he planted on Hermoso at the 2023 Women’s World Cup final in Sydney, where Spain defeated England.

The former Spanish FA boss, who initially refused to resign and dismissed the controversy as a “witch hunt by fake feminism,” faces up to two and a half years in prison if convicted.

Rubiales has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, insisting the kiss was a “peck between friends celebrating.”

Taking the stand at Madrid’s Audiencia Nacional court, Hermoso described how Rubiales grabbed her head and kissed her without consent.

“I didn’t hear or understand anything,” she told the court.

“The next thing he did was to grab me by the ears and kiss me on the mouth.

“I felt it was totally out of place and I then realised my boss was kissing me, and this shouldn’t happen in any social or work setting.

“A kiss on the lips is only given when I decide so.”

She added: “As a woman I felt disrespected. It was a moment that stained one of the happiest days of my life.”

Hermoso said the pressure campaign left her fearful for her safety, forcing her to leave Madrid.

“From the first moment I reached Spain I had cameras after me 24 hours, people following me, people taking photos while I was having breakfast with my family. I had to leave Madrid with my family,” she said.

“I felt fear at times of being in the street. I received death threats and messages of all types and we had to leave Madrid because the situation was unbearable.

“It was a change in my life and I still say my life changed from that minute.”

‘A statement I hadn’t written’

The court also heard that just hours after the kiss, Rubiales and his aides allegedly pressured Hermoso to declare it was consensual to contain the growing backlash.

She was called off the team bus at Sydney’s stadium and shown a statement she was expected to sign.

Hermoso recalled breaking down in tears as pressure mounted on her to publicly downplay the incident.

The Spanish footballer told the court:  “I skim-read it and said and knew I hadn’t written a word of it.

“It was a statement I had supposedly drafted myself and consented to being put out to fan the flames of the fuss that was being created by the kiss.

Rubiales resigned as president of the Spanish Football Federation in 2023 following criticism over the ‘Kissgate’ scandal[/caption]

“The statement said Luis Rubiales and I were good friends and the kiss happened in the effusiveness of the moment. I said I didn’t agree to it going out.”

On the flight back to Spain, Rubiales allegedly approached Hermoso personally, pleading with her to back him publicly.

“He told me, ‘Please, my two daughters are in the back of the plane crying,’” she said, adding that she refused.

Ex-national team coach Jorge Vilda — one of Rubiales’ co-defendants — then allegedly approached Hermoso’s brother, warning him that her football career could suffer if she did not comply.

“I felt totally unprotected in what should have been a safe place for me,” Hermoso said.

“No one asked me if I needed anything. The only thing Rubiales and his aides did was try to protect their reputation.”

Spain’s #MeToo moment

The scandal overshadowed Spain’s first-ever Women’s World Cup triumph and became a tipping point for sexism in Spanish sport.

The hashtag #SeAcabó (It’s Over) flooded social media, with Hermoso and 80 other players going on strike until federation leadership changed.

FIFA suspended Rubiales, who eventually resigned in September 2023.

The incident also sparked national soul-searching over sexual misconduct in Spain.

The country had only recently toughened its sexual assault laws following the notorious ‘La Manada’ (Wolf Pack) gang rape case in 2016.

‘A peck between friends’

Rubiales continues to deny wrongdoing, insisting the kiss was a “peck between friends” and his downfall was driven by “fake feminism”.

His daughters, two of whom were on the team’s flight home, will testify in his defense next Monday.

Former coach Jorge Vilda, ex-federation sporting director Albert Luque, and marketing director Rubén Rivera also face coercion charges and potential 18-month sentences.

The trial is set to run until February 19, with high-profile witnesses, including Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas and Spain manager Luis de la Fuente, expected to testify.

Rubiales, if convicted, could receive a suspended sentence as first-time offenders in Spain rarely serve time for prison terms under two years.

Prosecutors are also seeking €100,000 (£83,000) in damages for Hermoso.

A verdict is expected by the end of the month at the earliest.

The U.S. Sun revealed how Kanye and Bianca were later told to leave the awards ceremony.

However, a second source close to Kanye insisted they “absolutely had tickets” as he was nominated for Best Rap Song and only ever planned to get photographed with Bianca and leave.

Kanye was reportedly seen being escorted out by police after walking the red carpet, leading many to believe it was because of Bianca’s choice of clothing, or lack thereof.

A third insider told The U.S. Sun: “He doesn’t care [that he was kicked out]. He went to get photographed on the carpet and is now having a watch party.”

But now, in a shocking new interview, Bonnie has admitted that the very first man in the queue didn’t wear a condom when they had sex.

She made the situation even worse by insisting it’s “normal” for men to sometimes forget to put on protection as they get caught up in the moment.

“Number one out of 1057 went in raw,” she told documentary maker Lee Spooner as they laid in bed together in the video shared on Instagram.

Bonnie explained that she had six other men in front of her who were keeping her “hands and mouth busy”, and when she turned around, she realised the man behind her wasn’t “wrapped up”.

“But I think like when you’re in the moment, from the guy’s perspective and they’re getting excited, they just sort of forget – which is like completely normal.”

She also said the man’s failure to wear protection was probably down to the fact “most of them never usually wear” one.

“So it’s not like an instant, ‘I’m about to go inside, let me wrap up’.”

As the interview was shared on Instagram, the comments section was immediately filled with people slamming the 25-year-old for being “irresponsible” in calling the man’s lack of condom “normal”.

“Forget to wear a condom normal?!? No absolutely not,” one raged, as another called it “pure idiocy”.

“I think it’s very unhealthy that you are almost promoting the fact it is normal to ‘forget’ to wear protection when sleeping with a stranger!!” a third wrote.

“You need to give your head a good wobble.”

“Not respecting your rules is definitely not normal,” someone else agreed.

“Let’s not normalise the lack of consent.”

“NOTHING ABOUT THIS SITUATION IS NORMAL!!” another insisted.

“This woman is vile,” someone else said.

“This is soooooooo wrong,” another wrote, as someone else called Bonnie a “human petri dish”.

“This is absolutely disgusting what she has done and the fact that our society has now normalised this is SICK!” someone else argued.

“I can’t even imagine the total after effects she has yet to go through from being exposed to 1057 different men…”

“1 in 5 guys have an STD,” another pointed out.

Statistically speaking, that means that 211 of the men Bonnie slept with that day could have had some kind of sexually transmitted disease or infection.

Bonnie previously insisted she’s never had an STI, but said she is “aware of the risks” in doing what she does.

“I’m aware that with the amount of people I am sleeping with, I need to be tested regularly. I’m aware of the risks,” she said.

She even claimed that she’s willing to chance contracting HIV – a life-changing illness – in the name of her work, as she added: “HIV is the big one and I still choose to do it.

“I’m happy to risk the things I risk to do.”

It sees 100 contestants compete for a £100,000 prize pot by answering 15 logic-inspired questions that get progressively harder.

It kicks off with a question which 90 per cent of the population polled got right.

It then goes on to ask questions which smaller and smaller percentages of the country got right, culminating with a 1% question.

In the latest episode, the contestants faced a baffling animal-related question: “Without reordering any letters, how many animals appear in the sequence below?”

The question included the jumbled word “PHEASANTORTOISEALION”.

Viewers attempted to answer the question on social media but fans were divided on what constituted the correct answer.

The official verdict was six animals – pheasant, sealion, ant, seal, tortoise, and lion – though there was contention over classifying an ant as an animal, reports the Mirror.

One viewer said: “#The1PercentClub An ant is NOT an animal! Outrage!”

Another added: “Pheasant is a bird, ant is an insect, seal and sealion are mammals, so the correct answer should be 2 (lion and tortoise).

“If the question was ‘how many creatures…’ then it’s 6. Bad question wording #The1PercentClub”

Another wrote: “#The1PercentClub An ant is an insect not an animal!”,

“Ant is an insect.. #The1PercentClub…” agreed another.

But other viewers disagreed and said: “The amount of people on the hashtag saying an ant isn’t an animal… #The1PercentClub.”

“To all those saying otherwise. Yes an ant is an animal. All insects are. #The1PercentClub”, added another.

“Insects are animals” agreed another viewer.

“Yes, ants are animals! As all insects, they are arthropods (along with spiders, crustaceans, centipedes and millipedes). A lot of people need a visit to the Natural History Museum!” ranted another.

Later in the show, five contestants were left, vying to answer the final 1% Club question correctly.

They were given a choice of taking £10k home, which would see them all walk away with £2,000 or take on the question.

One player called Christoper decided to take his share and bow out, while the rest played on.

The rest were asked: “The words below share a specific pattern. Why could VOTING also be part of the group?'”

The words listed were Bandleader, Nickelodeo and Silverback.

Only one contestant attempted to answer the question but they got it wrong, meaning nobody took home cash.

Host Lee, 56, revealed that each word contained a metal – including lead, nickel, silver and tin.

ITV viewers at home branded the question the ‘easiest ever’ and flooded social media with comments.

One said: “That was the easiest 1% question I can remember. Thought it must be wrong as it couldn’t be that easy. Amazed not one of them had a clue.”

A second wrote: “Got this within five seconds was far too easy with silver and nickel as the start of the words and tin being the only other word in voting.”

“My 12-year-old got this. Metals in the words,” said a third.

While a fourth posted: “That seemed a pretty easy 1% Question to me?!”
