OLEKSANDR USYK has made a major change to his team for the first time in 12 YEARS, less than a month before his rematch with Daniel Dubois.

The undefeated Ukranian is just over three weeks away from throwing down with Dubois for all the heavyweight marbles at Wembley.

He’ll enter the fight following an emotional split from long-time promoter Alexander Krassyuk[/caption]

But he’ll no longer have long-time promoter Alexander Krassyuk on his team as he and his countryman have gone their separate ways after 12 years working together.

K2 Promotions chief Krassyuk confirmed the pair’s split in an emotional Instgram post.

It read: “It’s been a tremendous journey — 12 years of unbelievable success.

Two young dreamers met each other to change the game.

“Back in 2013, I gave you my word and kept it.

“At the time, no one believed we were capable of achieving what we set out to do.

“But by the grace of God, we completed the mission impossible.”

The split, judging from Krassyuk’s post, which was also cross-posted on Usyk’s page, seems to be an incredibly amicable one.

Alexander Krassyuk admits it was a ‘dream come true’ to share Oleksandr Usyk’s journey[/caption]

A clearly emotional Krassyuk continued: “A dream come true.

“Thank you for all we’ve gone through and for the honour to be the lifetime promoter of the Double Undisputed.

“May the Lord bless you and guide your next steps, thanks God for everything.”

Although the post was also shared to his account, pound-for-pound king Usyk has yet to comment on the pair’s split.

Usyk’s separation from Krassuyk will be music to the ears of IBF heavyweight king Dubois, who will bid to exact revenge on the slick southpaw under the famous Wembley arch.

Dubois, 27, suffered a ninth-round TKO defeat to the two-division champion in their Polish punch-up in August 2023.

Triple D thought he’d claimed the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring heavyweight titles in the fifth round when he dropped Usyk with a rasping body shot.

Referee Luis Pabon, however, deemed the punch to be a low blow and gave Usyk the allotted five minutes to recover.

But the official controversially urged the unified champ to take more time to recover after the fan favourite said he was ready to fight.

Dubois and promoter Frank Warren appealed to the WBA to overturn the result of the fight to a no-contest.

But their attempts to overturn the result of the Wroclaw war, however, were KO’d by the Panama-based sanctioned body.

Seaside pub named one of the best in the UK with ‘floating’ beer garden by the beach

IN DEVON is a beautiful 13th century inn with a unique beer garden that actually floats.

Picnic tables bob up and down on a floating pontoon that literally sits out on the Restronguet Creek in Falmouth and it goes up and down with the tide.

Of course punters can access the pub on foot or by car, but for anyone wanting to go in style, you can even access The Pandora Inn by water on the pub’s own mooring pontoon.

Directly outside the Inn is a slip for ‘parking’ and there are access points along the creek.

One is the popular Loe Beach, which is approximately 2 miles from The Pandora Inn over water.

The ‘floating’ pontoon has picnic tables in the summertime which is a real hit with visitors who get to eat and drink on the water.

In 2023, The Pandora Inn was included among eight pubs listed by The Times for its wonderful setting to enjoy a pint or two.

Speaking about the pub, The Times wrote: “Thatched and whitewashed, this is the quintessential Cornish pub — and it has a wonderful setting beside Restronguet Creek, a tributary of the River Fal and a yachtie’s favourite.

“Inside it’s all old beams, low ceilings, maritime memorabilia and ships in glass cabinets; outside the “garden” is in fact a big riverside pontoon.”

The Pandora Inn serves food throughout the day starting breakfast with a full menu from 12 noon until 9pm.

On Sundays hungry visitors can indulge in a traditional roast dinner which will change in the summertime.

As it’s a pub, of course there are all sorts of drinks too, and it serve beers from St Austell Brewery, the Westcountry’s leading brewer.

They serve ales, stouts, beers, cider and a have wine list of 21 from reds to white, rosé and sparkling.

It’s popular with guests too, one visitor wrote on Tripadvisor: “We ate upstairs – a really tasty pub lunch – before exploring outside along the jetty – the views were spectacular and well worth a visit – booking in advance would probably be advisable.”

Another added: “Great place to stop off if you have a boat as jetty/pontoon leads to nearly front door.”

A third wrote: “Great atmosphere, sitting on the jetty, drinking ‘on the water’. And a brilliant spot for the children to entertain themselves crabbing!”

The Pandora Inn is a historic gem with parts of it dating back to the 13th century.

However in 2011, the pub made headlines after it was almost fully destroyed in a fire.

The whole of the first floor of the ancient inn was destroyed and afterwards, it underwent a refurbishment – but still maintains its original look.

As reported by Cornwall Live, the inn is now run by two friends who both previously worked there 15 years ago.

The pub is now owned by Tom Milby and John Calland who joined forces to take on the old Falmouth inn.

They said: “Our new venture together just feels right – it feels like coming home.”

One Sun Travel writer discovered a unique pub with a real beach in central London.

And eight UK pubs where the beer garden is right on the beach for a pint in the hot weather.

The Iceman told that he has spent “18 of the last 24 hours in bed” due to the illness.

While tournament organisers announced that he was replaced by 13-year-old rising star Lex Paeshuyse.

The 2011-born thrower has impressed on the youth circuit, winning the 2024 World Masters, JDC World Championship and JDC Belgian Championship.

Now he is been given a chance to impress alongside some darts’ biggest names – including Michael van Gerwen – after getting the call-up to the exhibition.

A statement from the tournament read: “Last night, we received word from Gerwyn Price that he has recently fallen ill.

“As a result, he unfortunately had to cancel his participation in the tournament in Austria and will also be unable to attend tonight.

“We immediately began searching for a worthy replacement with international appeal. However, this proved to be no easy task: many top players we contacted were already committed to other tournaments or had media obligations.

“Nonetheless, we made a special decision. We already have a world champion in our midst, someone who has won several tournaments this year. That’s why we chose to place our trust in youth.

“We are proud to announce that none other than Lex Paeshuyse will replace Gerwyn Price.

“For Lex, this will be his very first appearance in a tournament of this level, where he will face the very best in the world. A young player to watch, and a talent we as Belgians can be especially proud of!”

For Price, he appears to be on the mend – sharing photos of himself refuelling with some food on Instagram as he looks to get back to the oche as soon as possible.

Price will be hoping he is back in action for next week’s US Darts Masters in New York City.

The incredible event sees eight PDC representatives face off against eight players from North America at the iconic Madison Square Garden.

Stephen Bradley downplays transfer links with former Ireland U21 defender as he praises Shamrock Rovers win over Cork

STEPHEN BRADLEY was delighted Shamrock Rovers stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games on Friday — despite making several changes.

The Hoops also moved 11 points clear at the top of the table.

But the 4-1 win over Cork City may have been their most routine triumph yet.

Jack Byrne, Graham Burke and Aaron Greene spent the game on the bench — while regulars Matt Healy, Lee Grace and Darragh Nugent had the night off completely.

But there was no let-up in quality on the pitch as the Leesiders were thumped.

Teenager Michael Noonan, 16, scored two, while there were also goals from Roberto Lopes and Rory Gaffney. Alex Nolan grabbed a consolation for City who remain last.

And Hoops boss Bradley said: “We did feel coming into it that it would be a really important game.

“We made six changes and we looked like we kept our rhythm.

“Sometimes when you make changes you can lose that rhythm but I think it’s a sign of where the players are.

“When they’re called upon, they’re ready to play and that was the really pleasing aspect that our energy levels and tempo, obviously had quality in the final third, was really good.”

Noonan’s brace means he has now scored six league goals this term having joined from St Patrick’s Athletic during the off-season.

He also scored on his Hoops debut against Molde in the Conference League in February.

But Bradley reckons his prodigy can keep improving.

The Hoops chief said: “If anyone has watched him from the first game against Molde to now — and watched him in detail — you can see the progression in his game and the little tweaks he has made to his game.

“His runs are not as straight as what they were, which means he’s onside for a lot more of them. His understanding of when to come to feet, when to go long and his hold-up play has become so much better.

“He scores goals when you put him in front of goal. When you add that to his elite mentality and his attitude to the game, he’s a joy to work with.

“You can see the group love him and the fans love him and it’s our job to keep developing him and please God if injuries allow, he stays focused he’s got a really bright future. It’s incredible. He’s 16 and to be doing what he’s doing . . .  there’s so much more to come from this boy.”

‘HAVEN’T SPOKEN’

One curious onlooker enjoying what he saw from Rovers — and for the second week in a row — was ex-Ireland Under-21 international Conor Masterson.

The defender, 26, sparked transfer speculation by attending last week’s Tolka Park tie between Rovers and Shelbourne.

And the out-of-contract Gillingham star was at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night.

But Bradley was quick to pour cold water on links suggesting a deal was close to snap up the former Liverpool trainee.

He said: “I haven’t spoken to Conor, no. I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to Conor to be honest. I’m hearing teams have offered him deals. I don’t know how true it is but we haven’t spoken to him.”

But when pushed on if this move might be something that may interest him, he did not say no.

Bradley added: “He’s a good player and there’s no getting away from that.

“We want good players here. I don’t know what his plans are, I don’t know anything about them and that’s being genuine.

“But if it’s something that he was coming home, we’d obviously be interested in good players.

“We’re looking at a couple of things but we have to see if they happen.

“I’m a real believer in if it’s not the right one, then be patient. I like where the group and squad is.

“We’ll try to improve it if we can.”
