Deontay Wilder to have two comeback fights before eying double header with Anthony Joshua in London and Las Vegas

DEONTAY WILDER is set for two confidence-building comeback fights – before eyeing a double header with Anthony Joshua.

The former WBC champion returns on Saturday in Kansas against little-known Tyrrell Herndon looking to bounce back after two losses.

Nelson Lopez Jr – a former matchmaker for the likes of Oscar de la Hoya and PBC – is promoting Wilder’s low-profile return.

A three-fight deal is in place between the pair – with Wilder’s second comeback fight already pencilled in – before they target a showdown with AJ.

Lopez told SunSport: “Yeah listen, we got a tentative deal and we’re just going one by one.

“We have the next one set up, this one set up, nothing solid for the third one – you know how boxing is, there’s no path of how you succeed.

“We have to get over this, so anything can happen. We got to get over the next one. Anything can happen.

“And then, you know maybe Eddie will sit at the table and see what we can do something with AJ.”

Wilder was stunned on points against Joseph Parker in December 2024 before he was knocked out in June 2024 by Zhilei Zhang.

Both times he blew the chance to fight 35-year-old Joshua – who was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September and has since had elbow surgery.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

Promoter Nelson has opened the door to a two-fight with with AJ – in Las Vegas and London – with the possibility of a trilogy.

He said: “Maybe we go ahead and lock in a trilogy. You know what I mean, why not?

“For both fighters maybe we lock in something we can do guaranteed two fights and if one wins and one wins, we do the third.

“I would do it that way. I don’t think the fans would be mad at that.

“I think either way it would have be amazing fight for both of them and whoever wins the first two then you’re crowned the man.”

Wilder, 39, went through a period of radio silence after his fifth-round stoppage loss to Zhang in Riyadh.

He cited personal issues for his absence from the spotlight – and also had secret arm surgery with plans to return to the big time.

Lopez said: “Yeah, he’s definitely up for these fights.

“Our in Kansas slated “Legacy Reloaded” so the first two fights are just leading towards that.”

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr one year sober after winning fight with addiction and reveals promise to his kids to KO Jake Paul

JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR has won his fight against addiction – now he must follow through on the promise he made to his kids to knock out Jake Paul.

The son of Mexico’s most beloved boxer has struggled with drink and drug abuse in the past – with trips in and out of rehab.

But ahead of his June 28 fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul – Chavez Jr has KO’d his mental demons.

He told SunSport: “Yes, it’s an unbelievable feeling. Still good mentally and doing everything right, like training and staying sober.

“So that means for me everything, my lifestyle, I’m back and I like this life. I like the discipline. I like running, I like training. So yes, I feel great.”

Chavez Jr once checked his father – the great Julio Cesar Sr – into rehab amid a crippling cocaine addiction which his dad said saved his life.

But years later the roles reversed and Chavez Sr last year claimed he feared his son would DIE due to his substance abuse.

The former middleweight world champion hit rock bottom in January 2024 when he was arrested in Los Angeles on gun charges.

According to police, he unlawfully possessed two AR-style ghost rifles and was later freed from custody on a $50,000 bond.

But Chavez Jr was forced to enter the residential treatment program – since turning his life around for the sake of his wife and two kids.

He said: “I have had too many problems in the past with substances and drinking and things like that.

“So I have for a couple of years tried to stop but it’s hard for me to stop alone. So I go to one of the places here after a problem that I had.

“And after that, I’m continuously sober for the first time. I have been for one year a month.

“I really don’t remember my bad days and I enjoy these days.”

Chavez Jr won the WBC title in 2011 – making three defences before losing it to Argentine Sergio Martinez – sparking inconsistent form.

A lack of dedication has plagued the son of a legend throughout his career – but he claims to have committed more to this fight than any other.

Chavez Jr said: “I’m training super hard like the old days and yes I’m taking this fight very seriously because it’s a good fight.

“Every single fight, the next one is the biggest and the more pressure. In the past, yeah, of course, I have a little bit of a break.

“I’m so excited and I’m happy to stay here.”

The 39-year-old shares daughter Julia and son Jr with wife Frida and he revealed his two kids know all too well about Paul and his celebrity circle.

He said: “My kids are very young, they know Jake Paul and Logan Paul and KSI and these guys. And yes, it’s good for me.

“That’s what motivates me for this fight because I wanna beat him and show how good a fighter I am for the new generation.”

Chavez Jr revealed he made a promise to his children to KO Paul – who is the naturally bigger man at cruiserweight.

He said: “Yes. I want to knock him out. Remember, Jake is big.

“So that’s the main thing is trying to pressure him and more to the body and later on, start to knock him out.”

⚠ Responsible gambling & tools at Lukki Casino

This could be an area for Lukki online casino to build on in the future. While it has a page dedicated to responsible gambling, it lacks a set of tools that would help players to stay in control of their play.

Lukki Casino does ask that anyone who feels they need help should get in touch with customer services. They also link out to a number of charities and support organisations that work in this sphere, including:

  • GAMSTOP.
  • Gambling Therapy.
  • Gamblers Anonymous.
  • Gordon House.

The links are useful, but it would be good to see limit tools, reality checks and self-exclusion tools on the platform.

☎ Lukki Casino customer support info

Lukki Casino has a number of ways to get in touch with customer services if anyone has a query. It also lists a series of frequently asked questions, and while not everybody likes to use these, it’s one of the better sets around.

For those who prefer to speak to an advisor, there is a 24/7 live chat facility. Customers can also send an email, and there may be some help available via Lukki’s social media outlets.

To sum up, customers can access:

🔒 Security, license, reputation and trustworthiness

Lukki online casino is licensed and regulated by the eGaming Commission of Curaçao, and details of this license can be found at the bottom of the operator’s homepage. While it’s early days in the operation, licensing is clearly important, and Lukki Casino has built up strong levels of trust among players.

It also employs high levels of SSL technology to encrypt personal data, so the platform scores highly in terms of security.

👉 How to sign up at Lukki Casino Ireland

Signing up is a simple business at Lukki online casino. You should be set up and ready to play in just a few minutes if you follow these steps:

  1. Visit Lukki Casino and click on the gold button marked ‘Join now’ to get started.
  2. Enter your email and telephone number, choose a password and type in your date of birth.
  3. Check the box to accept the privacy policy plus terms and conditions.
  4. Tick if you want to receive email notifications.
  5. A verification link will be sent to your email address. Click on this to complete the process.

It seems strange that you don’t even have to enter your name, but Lukki Casino may well ask for proof of identity. Be prepared to have scans of essential documents on hand.

Expert’s verdict about Lukki Casino

There’s a lot to like about the Lukki Casino experience, and few potential downsides. The big plus point for players is the huge list of games, and with over 14,000 titles to select from, you’re sure to find several options to suit your gameplay.

We like the offers and bonuses listed by Lukki Casino, but the terms can be a little harsh at times. We would like to see some of the wagering requirements come down, but there is a good mix of choice and value here, backed by solid infrastructure. Overall, the sheer number of games makes it an attractive choice for Irish players seeking game diversity.

Man Utd struggling to flog forgotten star despite him being a title winner as dismal player sales laid bare

MANCHESTER UNITED are facing an uphill battle to move on some of their unwanted players, including one forgotten title-winning star.

The Red Devils find themselves needing to sell this summer in order to bring in new signings beyond the addition of Matheus Cunha and impending arrival of Bryan Mbeumo.

Ruben Amorim, manager of Manchester United, looking distraught.
Getty
Ruben Amorim and Manchester United need to sell some of the deadwood before they can bring in any more signings[/caption]

It’s a situation that United have rarely found themselves in – struggling to find the funds to bring in their transfer targets.

Their financial woes are born out of a shocking campaign last term, failing to qualify for Europe for the first time since 2015.

And although they are safe with regard to FFP, United will need to sell before they can buy – backed up by chief Omar Berrada’s admission that they “are going to have to balance the books” to United We Stand.

Historically, selling isn’t something that United have been particularly good at, with The Athletic reporting that club insiders have described departures as “an afterthought” in the past.

While United have made just £105.5m in profit from player sales over the past five years, a figure dwarfed by the £508.6m and £435.8m that Chelsea and Man City have made in the same period.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe also revealed that the club will have to foot an £89m bill this summer to pay off deals for players already at the club – including Jadon Sancho‘s 2021 switch from Borussia Dortmund.

There’s plenty of players United can try and move on to raise funds for new incomings, but actually finding buyers is proving much more difficult.

The Athletic claim that Old Trafford execs are struggling to find a market for forgotten man Tyrell Malacia, who spent the second half of last season on loan with PSV – ultimately winning the Eredivisie.

in-depth coverage and exclusives from Old Trafford

Malacia is surplus to requirements under Ruben Amorim, but there doesn’t exactly appear to be a queue of clubs waiting to take him away from Manchester on a permanent exit.

Jadon Sancho is another player that United would like to try and move on, but his mammoth wages are making things difficult.

SunSport revealed earlier this week that Jose Mourinho could offer a lifeline to the winger’s miserable spell at United, offering £15m to bring him to Fenerbahce – a fee dramatically below the £73m the Red Devils initially splashed on the England international.

Marcus Rashford is in a similar position, holding out for a big move to Barcelona, but seeing his options limited to predominantly loan offers due to his £370,000-per-week wages.

Alejandro Garnacho is understood to be on a much lower wage, meaning he could drum up more interest in a permanent exit and a hefty fee.

It’s reported that United would like £70m for Garnacho, but it could be hard to command such a fee when it is clear the Argentine has no place in the squad under Amorim.

Should he leave for £70m, he will become United’s second highest sale in the club’s history – a damning example of how poor they have managed their departures over the years.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains the club’s record sale, sealing his move to Real Madrid in 2009 for £80m.

While Romelu Lukaku’s £63m switch to Inter Milan and Angel Di Maria’s £53m departure to PSG are the only other exits that exceeded the £50m mark.

Historic transfers such as David Beckham’s Real Madrid exit and Jaap Staam’s 2001 move to Lazio still remain in the top 10 departures decades on from their completions.

While recent switches for Dan James, Scott McTominay and Mason Greenwood are also in the top 10.

10 days out in the UK that cost less than a pint from free-to-visit lidos to cheap cinema mornings

WITH the average cost of a pint in the UK setting you back more than a fiver, some days out with the family are now cheaper than necking your favourite IPA.

According to a recent survey, the price of a pint of beer in the UK has risen to £5.17, reports The Drinks Business.

According to a recent survey, the price of a pint of beer in the UK has risen to £5.17[/caption]

And that price is even up from just a few months ago, when the average price of a pint in England, Wales and Scotland cost 34p less.

The research, which was collected by The Morning Advertiser, also unsurprisingly revealed that London has the priciest pint – costing on average £6.10.

Whilst some beers are more affordable than others, like Foster’s at £3.80, there is no lying that a trip to the pub is no longer a cheap outing.

In fact, an entire day out can be cheaper – here are some things to do that are cheaper than a pint.

Museums and galleries

Museums and galleries can often be overlooked when thinking of somewhere to go for a day out.

But they are great places for families to explore, with kids able to learn and often partake in seasonal activities.

For example, in London, pretty much all the major museums and galleries are free, such as Tate Modern, Tate Britain, the V&A, the Natural History Museum, the British Museum, the Science Museum, the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery.

Other cities also have free museums and galleries like the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, for example.

Beaches

The UK is home to hundreds of incredible beaches which are free to visit.

Whether wanting a swim in the water or to build sandcastles, the beach provides the perfect free day out for the family.

And you can pick a beach specific to your needs.

For example, if you want to build sand castles then long stretches of sand like Pendine Sands Beach in Wales, are ideal.

On the other hand, if you want to see breathtaking scenery or history as well as the beach, then head to Elberry Cove in Devon or one of the many beaches on the Jurassic coastline.

Gardens and parks

Whilst often stately homes charge an admission fee, a lot also have gardens which families can wander around for free.

And in addition to all the gardens across the UK, there are also hundreds of parks to explore – both man-made and natural.

For example, Betteshanger Country Park is spread across 250 acres in Kent and is home to a forest school, fossil quarry and many bike trails.

An entire day out can be cheaper than a pint[/caption]

There is also Moors Valley Country Park & Forest in Dorset, which boasts over 800 acres including a children’s play area and an abundance of wildlife.

Lidos

Many lidos across the UK are really affordable, including in London.

For example, Hampstead Heath’s Bathing Ponds cost £4.80 for an adult and £2.90 for a child and Parliament Hill Lido costs the same, for morning sessions.

Other lidos are completely free of charge, like Shoalstone tidal lido in Devon.

The 53-metre ‘free to use’ sea water swimming pool is one of only a handful of its kind still left in the country.

Vue Cinemas

Vue Cinemas are across the entire country and whilst many think the cinema can be an expensive day out, the reality is it can be a lot cheaper than you think.

For example, Vue Cinema’s Mighty Morning sessions allow adults and children to enjoy the latest films for a cheaper price.

Many lidos across the UK are really affordable, including in London[/caption]

The Mighty Morning sessions run every Saturday and Sunday morning from 10am and cost from £2.49 when booked online.

And even better, they run every day during the school holidays.

Vue also offers ‘Big Shorts’, which are screenings aimed at one to four-year-old’s, from only £3.99 when booked online.

Crazy Golf

If you live near a seaside town, you will almost certainly have a crazy golf near to you.

Most of these courses offer a fun and different activity to do as a family, without breaking the bank.

Local crazy golf courses range in price depending where you are, but often can be found as low as £2 per player.

Animal sanctuaries and animal activities

Animal sanctuaries are great places for children to see animals up close, whilst they are being cared for.

Often, sanctuaries are home to animals that can no longer live in the wild or are in the wait for a new home, but need somewhere to be their home in the meantime.

Many major museums and galleries are also free to enter and often host activities for children[/caption]

Two examples of this are The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth and the Mare and Foal Sanctuary.

Both are free to visit, with the Mare and Foal Sanctuary offering free private tours if you book in advance.

Some charitable farms are free to visit as well, like Surrey Docks Farm in London.

Pets at Home also offers free activities throughout the summer season where children can get up close to small animals, such as rabbits.

Arcades

Arcades aren’t exclusive to the pier at your local beach, cities and towns also have them.

Families can collect up their pennies, 2ps, 5ps and 10ps and head to their nearest arcade and spend some time trying to win some small prizes.

Arcades aren’t exclusive to the pier at your local beach, cities and towns also have them[/caption]

Some arcades have games too that allow multiple players allowing family members to get competitive with one another.

For example, at Funland Games Arcade in London, visitors can explore the arcade on a pay-as-you-go basis with some games costing around £1 each.

School holidays programmes

Known as the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, kids can partake in activities across the summer holidays.

The programme is aimed at school children from reception to year 11 who received benefits related free school meals.

However, in previous years local authorities have had discretion to use up to 15 per cent of their funding to provide free or subsidised holiday club places for children who are not in receipt of benefits related FSMs but who the local authority believe could benefit from HAF.

The programme includes activities such as free play, football, swimming, junk modelling, nature walks and drumming workshops.

Lots of local leisure centres and councils offer their own programmes for multi-sport camps, swimming sessions and clubs[/caption]

Similarly, lots of local leisure centres and councils offer their own programmes for multi-sport camps, swimming sessions and clubs.

For example, Better – a charity that manages leisure centres across the UK – offers various holiday activities for kids including ‘Kids Swim for £1’ before 10am on weekdays during school holidays and weekends.

Nature walks

As the sun shines, what better way to make the most of it than getting out into nature and enjoying a nice walk.

The UK is home to many amazing National Parks, such as Dartmoor, that can be explored.

Sites like AllTrails and Forestry England can help you to find a trail or walking area near you, as well as sharing details about the difficulty of the trail.

One woman also found the cheapest annual passes for top attractions across UK – from just £6 a year.

Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr betting preview: tips, odds, and predictions

JAKE Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr takes place in the USA this weekend in what promises to be one of the year’s most intriguing crossover bouts.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul will look to further cement his reputation as a rising cruiserweight when he faces former world champion Chavez Jr over ten rounds in Anaheim, California.

This fight marks the biggest test of Paul’s professional boxing career – and can be a pivotal step if he is to prove he belongs at the elite level.

Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr odds

Despite having a far less impressive fight record, the bookies are strongly backing “The Problem Child.” Betfred have Jake Paul listed as a heavy odds-on favourite. However, with Chavez Jr’s experience and ring savvy, there could be real value in siding with the underdog.

Odds are subject to change.

Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr fight outcome odds

Unless you believe Jake Paul isn’t going to win, there’s little value in the fight winner market. However, BetVictor’s method of victory odds offers several strong value plays.

Odds are subject to change.

Jake Paul’s ambitious plans

Jake Paul, 28, is fresh off a high-profile win over Mike Tyson and is already setting his sights on bigger challenges. ‘The Problem Child’ recently revealed a six-man shortlist of future opponents – including none other than Anthony Joshua. A clash between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua would be a blockbuster event, if Paul gets his wish.

Paul has also claimed that talks were underway for a WBC cruiserweight title fight against Badou Jack. However, that potential bout has been put on hold, with the WBC ordering Jack to first give Noel Mikaelian a rematch.

Before Jake Paul can worry about any of that, the aspiring boxer must get past Julio César Chávez Jr.

The betting markets favour a points win for Paul. And while Chávez Jr is a step up in class, he’s also the smaller man. So if Paul wants to improve his credentials, a KO victory feels like a must.

Stats:

  • Age: 28

Is Chavez Jr going to be a problem for “The Problem Child?”

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 39, boasts a seasoned professional record of 54‑6‑1, with 34 wins coming by knockout.

A former WBC middleweight champion, Chavez Jr carries real pedigree, but with only one fight since December 2021, his recent activity has been limited, raising questions about his current sharpness.

Still, experience like his doesn’t vanish overnight. If he’s in the right condition – physically and mentally – Chavez Jr could pose a serious challenge to Jake Paul. Furthermore, the fighter known as the ‘Son of the Legend,’ may well take offense at being cast as a stepping stone in Paul’s title ambitions.

That sense of disrespect could fuel a motivated performance. A win wouldn’t just derail Paul’s momentum – it could reignite Chavez Jr’s own career, possibly even setting up a big-money rematch and restoring some of the credibility that once made him a world champion.

Stats:

  • Age: 39
  • Height: 6′0″ (183 cm)
  • Weight: Cruiserweight
  • Record: 54‑6‑1 (34 KOs)

🥊 Paul vs Chavez Jr betting tips

The talking is nearly over, and the stage is set for Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr to finally settle things in the ring. Now, we’ll find out whether Paul can continue his rise through the boxing ranks, or if the seasoned Chavez Jr can turn back the clock and humble the sport’s ambitious newcomer.

Jake Paul to win by KO/TKO/DQ

Jake Paul has ended seven of his 12 fights inside the distance, but if ‘The Problem Child’ is serious about challenging for a world title, he’ll need to prove himself in more than just high-profile exhibitions.

Eye-catching promotions might draw headlines, but they won’t be enough to earn respect in the boxing world. To take the next step, Paul must start delivering statement performances – beginning with a convincing, highlight-reel KO against Chavez Jr.

➡ Bet on Jake Paul to win by KO/TKO or DQ at 6/4 with kwiff

Fight to last under 8.5 rounds

Building on our opening tip, backing the fight not to go the distance offers stronger value. Jake Paul needs a statement win, and with Chavez Jr’s limited ring time in recent years, there’s a real chance he may struggle to last all ten rounds.

The bout is a short-priced 2/5 to go over 8.5 rounds, so taking a shot on an earlier finish at much better odds makes far more betting sense.

➡ Bet on the fight to be under 8.5 rounds at 7/4 with BetVictor

Draw

A draw is one thing Jake Paul is yet to have on his fight CV. If Julio Cesar Chavez Jr shows up motivated and makes it competitive, the judges could have a tough decision on their hands.

In that scenario, a draw at 23/1 offers real value for a small stake. With the fight priced at just 4/7 to go the distance, the draw market presents a far more lucrative alternative.

➡ Bet on Paul vs Chavez Jr to finish in a draw at 23/1 with SBK

Pretty historic city near two popular beaches is just 90 minutes from London

A ROMAN city in the UK is often named one of the best places to live in the country and its really easy to get to.

The city of Chichester is the only city in West Sussex, and once was a huge Roman market town with baths and amphitheaters.

Now, the harbour city is often named one of the best places to live, most recently in 2023 by The Times, and happiest places to live by The Guardian earlier this year.

The main attraction is the 900-year-old Chichester Cathedral, the only medieval cathedral in England that can be seen from the sea.

There is also Fishbourne Roman Palace, the biggest Roman houses in the UK, as well as the open-air Weald and Download Living Museum.

Yet thousands of car enthusiasts visit the city every year to go to Goodwood Festival of Speed, an annual motoring festival.

Taking place from July 10-13, this year it celebrates 75 years of the F1 Championship and 125 years of motorsport history.

Here is everything you need to know about it.

And new this month is The Nest, a new theatre venue with live shows all throughout the summer

But if you want some beach time, one of the nearest is West Wittering Beach, often named one of the best in the UK.

Bognor Regis is also just as close, if you wanted somewhere slightly busier.

To get there, the city has its own Chichester Railway Station that has direct trains to London Victoria taking around 90 minutes.

Trains also operate to Gatwick Airport, as well as Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton.

While you can opt for a budget-friendly Premier Inn or Travelodge, there is also the fancy Grade-II listed Harbour Hotel

Also in Chichester is Bosham, a tiny village compared to Venice which is home to England’s best B&B.

It is even in the famous Bayeux Tapestry, as it was where King Harold lived.

One local SussexLive: “It looks completely unspoiled […] like an old fishing village you might find in Devon or Cornwall. It’s still very quaint and old-fashioned.”

Or there is Concierge Camping, a five-star camping ground in Chichester named one of the best in the UK that even is compared to a fancy hotel.

We’ve also rounded up the best things to do in Sussex.

Emergency services were called to the fast food restaurant in Waltham Abbey following reports of a disturbance.

Four suspects are believed to have entered the building at 5.30pm before squirting a substance at the victims.

Initially, those hit thought it was water, but immediately called the emergency services after their skin and eyes began stinging.

Six people received medical attention and were taken to hospital, but thankfully none of the injuries received are thought to be serious.

The suspects, described as white men, fled the scene at the Highbridge Industrial Estate in Waltham Abbey, Essex after the incident.

Detectives and local officers are now carrying out extensive enquiries.

Chief Inspector Terry Fisher, Epping Forest and Brentwood District Commander for Essex Police, said: “We know this incident will have been very concerning to customers and staff last night.

“We want to reassure you that we are carrying out a thorough investigation so we can establish what happened and the circumstances which led up to it.

“We are exploring all options including whether this was an attempted robbery.

“Luckily no-one was seriously injured, but this type of violent behaviour will not be tolerated in Essex.

”We will be carrying out tests to understand exactly what type of liquid was used in this incident and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, has video footage or any other information to contact us immediately.”

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “Three ambulances, three hazardous area response team vehicles, a paramedic car and a rapid response vehicle were sent to Highbridge Street Waltham Abbey after reports of restaurant staff being assaulted with a chemical substance at 5.35pm yesterday.
