In the video, Martin said: “Hey, it’s me, Tanner, if you’re watching this, I am dead.

“I had a heck of a life,” he added. “I decided to make this video announcing my death because I saw someone did that, like, a year or so ago, and I think it’s a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out and also you can be thoughtful about what your partner or spouse might need and she probably needs some time to grieve.”

In the video, the 30-year-old thanked his followers with whom he had been so candid and honest over the years, sharing so many aspects of his life.

Who was Tanner Martin?

Martin was born on December 22, 1994, and is a Utah-based content creator.

Since he started making content with his wife Shay, the influencers built a community of over 450,000 supportive followers on Instagram as of June 2025.

They also documented their life and struggles with fighting the illness to more than 580,000 followers on TikTok and in a regular blog written by Shay.

Tanner is a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has noted that this faith is the source of his strength during his illness.

How did Tanner Martin die?

After noticing regular stomach aches in 2020, it took six months for a doctor to realize this could be a symptom and recommended a colonoscopy.

At the age of just 25 years old, days after Shay and Tanner’s second wedding anniversary, Martin was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in November 2020 and since then documented his journey online until his death.

Between November 2020 and October 2024, Tanner had to endure more than 50 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, and six major surgeries, according to People.

As part of their journey fighting colon cancer, the couple have shared details about their relationship and experiences starting a family.

Shay and Tanner tied the knot in 2018 and formed their joint social media pages together.

They have one daughter together called AmyLou, who was born just 41 days before Tanner died.

Despite only being married for six years, the couple made use of every moment, renewing their vows in Ireland and travelling to Mexico and Italy.

In May the couple also hosted a living funeral for Tanner, it featured a red carpet and was held at a movie theatre so that those saying goodbye could watch a film about his life.

Shay revealed to their followers that Tanner wanted to be a father, and so she opened up about her experience of IVF.

She revealed that they experienced many hurdles, including sepsis and implications of Tanner’s cancer treatment.

However, finally, the couple shared pictures from a photo shoot in November 2024, announcing that they were expecting a baby.

In the video, the couple were holding newspapers which read: “Breaking News. Baby on the Way!”

Tanner witnessed the birth of their first child AmyLou on May 15.

After his death, Shay shared one more video with Tanner’s last wish.

He asked his followers to donate to his GoFundMe to raise money for his family and provide them security.

Popular car dealership is being DEMOLISHED after 50 years to ‘breathe life’ back into Victorian English town

A BELOVED car dealership is set to be completely demolished as part of a major revamp plan to “breath life” back into a Victorian English town.

After an application to build a set of new homes at the site of the 50-year-old motor dealer last year, the major transformation is now moving forward.

Revised plans have been submitted to replace the dealership[/caption]

The plans include turning the former Maltings location into apartments – while scrapping the car sales showroom off Quay Street.

Bellingham Homes applied to have the 39 new properties built at the former MR King & Sons car dealership last June.

They will now be constructed in the Victorian English town of Halesworth.

Planning documents revealed that the huge overhaul will represent a “harmonious marriage of past and present”.

It also said the new homes would preserve the “historic fabric” of the Halesworth conservation area.

Revised drawings of the plans have been submitted to the council.

A construction and demolition plan have also been filed, as the proposal continues to move forward.

The groundbreaking plan for the site’s layout shows four one-bedroom, 29 two-bedroom, five three-bedroom, and one four-bedroom properties across the new development.

Bulldozers will soon move in to tear down a showroom, two workshops and an extension at the Maltings site as part of the major housing revamp.

The first ten homes will be built at the front of the site during phase two of the plans.

The old Maltings building is set to be converted into 29 more in the final stage.

Other revisions from the original application include a new secure gate positions.

And different window positions have also been proposed to avoid overlooking nearby properties.

The application initially raised concerns surrounding the lack of parking space, increased traffic, and the impact on nearby health centres.

But since the revised drawings, one public comment has been received in support of the bid.

It said: “This is an excellent scheme for a long despoiled area used by a car dealership and garage and will breathe life into a historic feature of Victorian Halesworth.

“It will be an asset to the town’s infrastructure and ambience”.

Council officials will make a decision in due course.

BBC hits back and insists Call The Midwife ‘isn’t going anywhere’ revealing sixteenth series is ‘in the pipeline’

THE BBC have confirmed Call The Midwife ‘isn’t going anywhere’ – following reports that the beloved series would be ending.

Having debuted in 2012, the long-running show follows a group of midwives living in London‘s East End during the 50s and 60s.

It has been a firm favourite for many years[/caption]

Throughout its run, the programme has been a huge hit with audiences across the UK.

The BBC said: “The BBC would like to reassure fans that Call The Midwife will remain at the heart of the BBC for years to come.

“As previously announced, there are two Christmas specials, a new series, a film and prequel series, before a sixteenth series in due course.

Call the Midwife isn’t going anywhere.”

Originally, The Daily Star reported the programme would wrap up after series 15 in 2026.

A source told the publication: “After years of drama and countless births, Call The Midwife is coming to an end.

“The team have decided it’s time to draw the show to a close and bow out.

“This is the last we’ll see of these much-loved characters. Storylines will tie up a lot of loose ends.”

They added: “It’s a bittersweet time for the cast and crew. They’re all sad it’s coming to an end, but they want to make sure the show gets the ending it deserves.”

Up to 11 million people watched the highly-anticipated episodes at any time since it first launched in 2012.

The show has won National Television Awards, TV Choice Awards and has received several BAFTA nominations.

Earlier this year, The Sun revealed fans would have more to look forward to – in the form of a prequel.

As it is to be set in World War II it could feature younger versions of older characters from Call the Midwife.

Creator and writer Heidi Thomas said: “The opening of new doors at Nonnatus House feels profoundly emotional, and yet just right.

“I have never run out of stories for our midwives, and I never will.

“But having wept, laughed, and raged my way from 1957 to 1971, I found myself yearning to delve into the deeper past.

Call The Midwife: A breakdown

Call The Midwife first came onto the airwaves in 2012 and has been seen by millions. But what is it about?

Series one: Set in early 1957 and it explored the ‘Baby Boom generation, which included themes of poverty and post-war immigration.

Series two: Set in 1958 and it showed gas and air being introduced for pain relief for the first time. It ended with the Nonnatus House building being condemned.

Series three: Set in 1959 and it depicted gruesome conditions such as cystic fibrosis, polio and it showed the midwives in the context on prisons.

Series four: Set in 1960 under the threat of nuclear warfare and the emergency response guidelines issued by the local Civil Defence Corp. Other themes included LGBT rights, and syphilis.

Series five: Set in 1961 and it shows the care of patients with conditions such as Typhoid and strokes. We also saw the effects of thalidomide, the introduction of the contraceptive pill.

Series six: Set in 1962 and domestic violence was at the centre of the season. Other themes included FGM (female genital mutilation), mental health issues and interracial marriage. It was also notable for the introduction of Reggie, a recurring character with Down Syndrome.

Series seven: Set in 1963 and we see Nurse Lucille Anderson for the first time. We also see the show address conditions such as dementia, huntington’s disease, leprosy and meningitis

Series eight: Set in 1964 and it bravely covered the issue of abortion, which was not legal for another three years in 1967. Sickle cell disease, cleft lip, cleft palate and intersex people also featured.

Series nine: Diptheria was at the centre of the ninth instalment in 1965, and it was notable for featuring a blind expectant mother. But the role of Nonnatus House within the community also came into question.

Series ten: Set in 1966, Nonnatus House has a rival in the form of the private Lady Emily Clinic in Mayfair. PKU, diabetes and the controversy surrounding abortion were central themes.

Series eleven: Set in 1967 amid the housing crisis and a scabies epidemic. The show was rocked by a train crash right next to Nonnatus House.

“The Blitz years in the East End were extraordinary – filled with loss, togetherness, courage and joy.

“The bombs fell, the babies kept on coming, and the Sisters kept on going.

“There will be so much in the prequel for our wonderful, loyal fans, including the appearance of some familiar (if much younger!) faces.”

Call the Midwife airs on BBC One and iPlayer.

TV star ‘robbed of thousands’ in Glastonbury ticket scam as she reveals heartbreak over missing festival

TV comic Joanne McNally claims she’s fallen victim to a Glastonbury ticketing scam that has cost herself and other punters “£110,000”.

Devastated Joanne, 42, had been looking forward to attending the huge music festival this weekend with pals but is now stuck at home.

The Irish comedian has told fans she had used a private concierge to buy her Glastonbury tickets – but they never materialised.

Joanne says the mystery seller has now blocked her phone number and disappeared “to Spain“, leaving herself and 50 other music fans furious.

In an Instagram video, Joanne said: “Glastonbury update. The guy I bought a ticket off said it’d be there by 6. If it’s not there by 6 ring me.

“No sign of the ticket. We’re ringing him, we’re blocked. He is gone. The money is gone. There is no ticket. We were robbed. And obviously it wasn’t cheap because it was Glastonbury and it’s a once in a lifetime experience.”

Joanne, who had spent this week shopping for outfits for the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, called herself “an idiot” for falling for the trick.

She added: “Anyway, we’re not going to Glastonbury. If anyone needs an acid house hat, 60 packs of wet wipes or a barrel of poppers let me know because i’m not going to be using them.

“It’s so weird because some people did get their tickets off him. A load of us didn’t get our tickets from him, apparently its like 50 of us. So he took a couple of grand off 50 people and he’s now in Spain or something.”

Joanne had been due to go to Glastonbury with her close friend, content creator Rossi Lewis.

Rossi had used a different concierge company to purchase his ticket to the one Joanne handed her money over to.

On his Instagram account, Rossi filmed himself as he headed to a property he believed was registered to Joanne’s ticket scammer.

Joanne later explained what Rossi found when her got to the house: “Apparently, he listed this concierge company to his parents’ address,” she said.

Rossi has since claimed the man in question has called him to apologise for the scam, which has left Joanne seriously out of pocket.

“The story just gets even more crazy,” Rossi said on his Instagram Stories.

“I think Joanne will finally make it on to Netflix – not as a comedian, but as a witness on this absolutely crazy story.

“I’ve just got a call from the guy who scammed the tickets. He basically called to apologise.

“He said, ‘I’m so sorry for what I’ve done to everyone. I feel terrible’.

“I mean, his whole story could be made up, but he said he’s still in Spain and has been owing money for years and years and years. He just didn’t see a way out, he’s been planning this for six months.

“He said it was the only way he could get this money, which I think adds up to a sum of £110,000, to pay off his debts.”

Both Joanne and Rossi have now issued a plea for a new ticket so she can make it to Glastonbury.

The gates to this year’s festival opened on Wednesday and thousands of revellers will be descending onto Worthy Farm today.

Headliners include The 1975, Neil Young, Alanis Morrisette,  Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Doechii and The Prodigy.

Rod Stewart will also be performing in the Legends slot, having previously headlined at Worthy Farm 23 years ago.

Biggest skincare trends for 2025

Face The Future’s Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025.

1. Exosomes

Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they’re a gamechanger for targeting ageing.

2. Streamlined Skincare

The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we’ll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results.

3. Vegan Collagen

Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums.

4. The Rise Of AI

AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level.

5. Hair Loss Solutions –

Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it’s no longer just something we’re talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health.

“Why pay six times as much when this moisturiser is so good at such a great price?”

One beauty fan has also been raving about another posh cream that she said makes her look decades younger than 70.

The Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex would normally cost £40, but it’s available for just £15 right now on Amazon.

And shoppers are also raving about Boots’ range of Korean skincare, as beauty experts estimate that South Korea is 10-12 years ahead of the Europe and the US  in terms of skincare and aesthetic treatments.

However, as many products contain salmon sperm, Korean beauty isn’t for everyone.

Ex Love Islander leaves people stunned as she unveils make-under after ditching fillers & embracing new natural look

A FORMER Love Island star has left people stunned after unveiling her incredible make-under.

Sharon Gaffka was an Islander back in 2021, alongside Millie Court, Lucinda Strafford, Liberty Poole, Hugo Hammond and Chloe Burrows.

A woman talks about her experience on Love Island four years ago.

It’s been four years since Sharon took part in her series of Love Island
ITV

But she’s come a long way since her stay in the villa, and is now almost unrecognisable, after ditching the fillers in favour of a more natural beauty approach.

She opened up about her toned down look in a video on her TikTok page, as she said that this time of year – when Love Island’s back on our screens – that reminds her “how different I looked then versus now”.

“If there was one thing that I hated about the experience, it was the pressure to feel like I had to wear full glam every single day, sometimes twice a day,” she said.

“And I know what you’re thinking – first world problems, right?

“But it can be quite oddly draining, especially when you feel the need to slap it on because you have no idea how you’re coming across on camera.”

Sharon said that since leaving the show she’s “ditched the bleach and lasered off my semi-permanent eyebrows”.

But the thing that people notice the most about Sharon is that she’s “dissolved all of my fillers”.

“I’ve also changed how I do my make-up and the kinds of products that I use,” she explained.

“I feel like now I definitely appreciate the more soft, dewy, lightweight make-up.

“We’re so quick to blame shows like Love Island for fueling a treatment culture, but sometimes I wonder if it’s the pressure of being judged by so many people that makes you want to change yourself in the first place.

“Being on the show made me realise that I didn’t even look like me anymore.

“While working in front of a camera can magnify every insecurity, over time it pushed me to strip it all back and just want to look like me again.”

In the caption for the video, Sharon wrote: “Four years ago, I entered the #LoveIsland villa… and let’s just say, me and my appearance have been on a journey!

“I’ve gone full make-under and I’ve totally changed the way I do my make-up…

“Here’s to growth, glow-ups and makeup that still makes you feel like you.”

And the comments section was almost immediately filled with people admitting that Sharon couldn’t look more different now than she did on Love Island.

Love Island 2025 - current couples

LOVE Island's 2025 cast have already undergone a shake-up, here are the latest couples:

“OKGGG I DIDNT EVEN RECOGNISE YOU,” one wrote.

“Look so much more natural and pretty,” another added.

“Wow you do look so different!” a third commented.

“Beautiful both ways. but prefer your look now.”

“I didn’t even recognise you until the picture! You look so so good now!” someone else said.

“Oh my god didn’t recognise you at first,” another added.

“You look amazing!”

“Pretty then, but gorgeous now due to natural radiance,” someone else wrote.

“Your lips look so much better now!” another praised.

“No offence but you look 100% better now,” someone else insisted.

“Fillers are terrible work!”

Major car brand reveals return of iconic model discontinued 2 years ago and says ‘it’ll deliver more than ever before’

A POPULAR car brand has announced the relaunch of one of their classic off-roaders, that is set to make its comeback in 2026.

The American manufacturer is bringing the Cherokee out of retirement, with an all new model of the beloved motor

Jeep discontinued the car in February 2023 after a solid 10 year production run in the US.

However, the reimagined model will officially debut later this year, before going on sale in 2026.

Jeep has already released early images to give buyers an idea of what to expect from the brand’s next mid-size off-roader.

Jeep CEO, Bob Broderdorf, said: “The all-new Jeep Cherokee headlines our efforts to deliver more product, innovation, choice, and standard content to customers than ever before.”

According to Motor1, the 2026 Cherokee adopts Jeep’s latest design language, first seen on the Wagoneer S, and then on the new Compass that debuted in May.

The motor pays homage to the brand’s classic look, with a seven-slot grille and a body with the familiar, rugged shape.

Also, the new model will use Stellantis’s STLA Large Transverse architecture, which Motor1 believe could mean it will have a variety of power train options.

Jeep has already confirmed a hybrid, but pure gas and fully electric power trains seem likely as well.

An electric Cherokee would likely have a similar setup to the Wagoneer S, which uses a 100.0Kilowatt-hour battery pack and two electric motors to produce 600 hp and 617 pound-feet of torque.

Mr Broderdorf added: “Jeep Cherokee will boast competitive pricing that strikes at the core of the largest vehicle segment and sits perfectly between Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee to bolster our winning mainstream lineup.”
