Horse racing tips: ‘He won this race two years ago off a similar mark’ – Templegate’s Friday NAP

TEMPLEGATE takes on Friday’s action confident of building the bank for a decent weekend of action.

Back a horse by clicking their odds below.

VINTAGE CLARETS (7.35 Newcastle, nap)

Richard Fahey’s flyer shaped like he was back in form at Epsom last time and won this race two seasons back from a similar mark. He has the high draw you so often need at this track over the sprint trips and being towards the rail can be a big help. There aren’t many better apprentices around than Warren Fentiman and he takes a very handy 5lb off his back.

NOVELLO LAD (3.55 Doncaster, nb).

Oisin Murphy takes over in the saddle and he has won three of last four rides for canny trainer Paul Midgley. This four-year-old was just denied over this track and trip last time when hitting a bit of traffic and can go one better this time with conditions spot on again.

DIAMOND RAIN (7.05 Newcastle, treble)

Looks a sure thing for team Godolphin. She was a cut above her rivals in a Listed race last time and this doesn’t look much trickier. Charlie Appleby didn’t have the best of Royal Ascot’s but his string continues to fly along in great nick.

THE FEMININE URGE (2.00 Yarmouth, Lucky 15)

She never had a chance at Wolves last time but was in flying form beforehand and this looks well within her radar.

Jake Paul vows to send Julio Cesar Chavez Jr into sad boxing retirement and goads ‘I’ll be there for you’

JAKE PAUL has vowed to send Julio Cesar Chavez Jr into a sad retirement from boxing and goaded: ‘I’ll be there for you.’

Former middleweight world champion Chavez – son of the legendary Mexican Julio Cesar Sr – claimed he would walk away from boxing if he lost.

But the second generation backtracked on his promise when asked if his career was on the line on Saturday in California.

Chavez, 39, said through a translator: “No, I just said that to say something. I’m definitely not going to lose, I’m definitely not going to retire.

“I’m going to continue with my career and Jake’s going to continue to do whatever it is he needs to do.”

But YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul had a different view – promising to embarrass the son of a legend to a point of no return.

He said: “Oh yeah, this is it for him. And I’m going to feel bad.

“I’m genuinely sorry, I want to apologise in advance because I know the emotional turmoil you’re going to go through.

“You’re going to go into hiding, that’s who you are you love to go and hide.

“That’s what’s going to happen and I really want to say I’m sorry for what’s going to happen.

Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

JAKE PAUL’S controversial boxing career rolls on this weekend with the Problem Child facing boxing royalty in Anaheim, California.

Paul will face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, a highly-decorated former world middleweight champion.

The Mexican, 39, has fought just once in the last four years but has the best boxing resume of any fighter to step into a ring with Paul – bar Mike Tyson, who was aged 58 at the time they fought.

Paul, 28, returns for the first time since his controversial November fight against Mike Tyson, who returned to the ring aged 58.

But Chavez Sr, Mexico’s most beloved boxer, said: “Jake Paul just fought against Mike Tyson, who didn’t even throw one punch.

“This is not Mike Tyson. You’re going to get your ass whooped. Julio is going to go in and throw some serious punches and you’re going to be running like a chicken with no head.”

Paul, 11-1 in the ring, replied: “We’ve heard it all before.”

Dunnes Stores designers said the dress is a piece you will keep reaching for again and again.

They said: “Cut in a midi length, this denim dress features a round neck, button-through front, and a self-tie belt to define the waist.

“Finished with soft gathers at the shoulders and side pockets, it’s a comfortable, feminine piece to wear day to day.”

It will take you from the office to Friday night drinks in town effortlessly.

The fashion giant teamed the dress with flat sling-back pumps.

It’s a piece that will stay in your wardrobe for years to come.

Dunnes Stores chiefs have also sent shoppers into a frenzy over a stunning new midi dress with a “flattering” fit.

An Irish fashion fan was loving the new Gallery shirred bodice dress in particular as she flaunted her newest look on Instagram.

The lightweight summer dress features a midi-length cotton poplin skirt.

The round neckline creates a polished finish, while voluminous sleeves adds graceful movement.

And it is perfect for fashion fans on the go as it comes with deep pockets sewn into the skirt.

Many of Ashling’s followers rushed to the comments to gush over the “beautiful” look while another raved about its “fab colour”.

Both colours are exclusively available online or in stores.

The Gallery range is exclusively available at Dunnes Stores.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.

Brit Jack Draper showed he was born to star at Wimbledon with 100-shot rally when he was FIVE years old

JACK DRAPER first showed he was “born for the big stage” with a 100-shot rally aged just FIVE.

On Friday morning, the British No 1 will learn his potential path to a Wimbledon final as he aims to follow in the footsteps of two-time winner Andy Murray.

Jack Draper is set to learn his Wimbledon fate – and it will be no surprise to some if he wins the whole thing[/caption]

Draper, 23, has soared to No 4 in the world rankings following a stellar year on court, which saw him crowned Indian Wells champion in March.

His success comes as no surprise to his former coach Justin Sherring — the man who nurtured his talent at the Weybridge Tennis Academy.

And it was one particular passage of play over the net as a kid which caught the eye.

Sherring told SunSport: “I coached Jack from the age of five to 15. His dad was the CEO of the Lawn Tennis Association and I knew his mum.

“His brother, who is now his agent, also came to the academy. I could see Jack was talented straight away. I had a 100-shot rally with him when he was only five years old.

“He used the whole of the court and just loved playing. Amazing hand-eye coordination — the best I have seen. He also had a massive desire to win.

“I used to make sure I beat him and he always wanted to carry on playing, as he didn’t want to lose. I used to tell him to come back tomorrow and try to beat me. He had a huge passion for the game and wanted to keep learning.

“He was always so competitive, with great focus and also a  hunger to improve his game. I’ve coached a lot of kids but what stood out was his dedication and drive. I’m not surprised by the success he has had. He looks born for the big stage.”

Draper reached the semi-finals of the US Open last year in New York and warmed up for Wimbledon with a run to the last four at Queen’s.

He was struggling with tonsillitis when he was beaten by Czech ace Jiri Lehecka in the semi-finals in London last weekend — and ended up smashing an advertising board in anger.

Illustration of Wimbledon singles prize money for 2024 and 2025.

But that incident aside, Sherring thinks Draper can thrive on the pressure of carrying the hopes of a nation at SW19.

He added: “It’s very tough with the demands on tour, the way he has come through challenges to get to where he is now is very impressive.

“Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are up there as the favourites but Jack has shown he can compete with them. If he settles in nicely at Wimbledon, with the crowd behind him, he can be dangerous.

“He has already been to the final there as a junior. Jack has no fear and certainly has  the game to go a long way in the  tournament.

“It is only a matter of time before he wins a Grand Slam. I was at Indian Wells when he went all the way for an amazing win, you could see the belief he had.

“He has been able to adapt his game very well. He played a lot on clay as a junior but has been able to adapt to playing on different surfaces.

“If he gets into the right state of mind at Wimbledon, he will be a very difficult opponent. It can go either way when you have the pressure of playing in a home Grand Slam. Jack can certainly use it to his advantage.”

John McEnroe says he first became aware of Draper nearly a decade ago when the Brit, a foot shorter than  his current 6ft 4in frame, attended his  US academy.

Wimbledon Ticket Options

There are a range of ways to get into Wimbledon as one of the only major sporting events in the world that offer sought-after tickets on the day of the event…

The Queue

As one of the only major sporting events that allows guests to purchase tickets on the day of the event, demand is high.

Each day a large queue forms of people wanting either a Grounds or Show Court ticket – with many even arriving the night before and camping to guarantee a place.

Upon arrival, visitors are issued a Queue Card, which is numbered and dated and should be kept until a ticket has been purchased.

While there is a limited number of entries, it is possible to remain in the queue and wait for people already inside to leave, with those tickets then becoming available.

It is also possible to check the status of the queue on the Wimbledon website.

This year, organisers are asking potential queuers to download the Wimbledon app and create a myWimbledon account.

Show Tickets

If you get to the front of the queue, then there are a limited number of tickets available for purchase for Centre Court and Courts 1, 2 and 3.

Note that Centre Court tickets are available for the first 10 days of the tournament, the final four days were already pre-sold.

Prices vary depending on the Court, seat and day of the event and will increase the further into the tournament you visit.

For example, Centre Court rows A-T cost £105 on Day 1 and £315 on Day 14 (men’s final).

Grounds Pass

A Grounds Pass costs £30 and allows visitors to watch matches on Courts 3-18 on unreserved seats, though there will also be a queue to get into Court 3.

Ticket Resale

From 3pm each day, tickets may become available from people who have left Wimbledon and made their seat available.

A Grounds Pass is needed to join the virtual queue on the Wimbledon App.

Tickets cost £15 for Centre Court or £10 for Courts 1/2.

Hospitality

There are a range of hospitality packages still available on the Wimbledon website.

Hospitality packages offer guaranteed premium seating to major matches as well as fine dining experiences, complimentary drinks, a shuttle and concierge service.

Hospitality packages can also be purchased via Seat Unique.

Secondary Markets

Sites such as StubHub offer tickets for the main courts for specific days and times.

*Please note that StubHub and similar secondary ticket resale sites may list tickets above face value.*

The American tennis legend — a  seven-time Major-winner —  said: “Jack was 14. He was like 5ft 1in or something.

“So, he had to work on everything. He obviously had a lot of talent.

“I’m not sure how tall his mum is. Or exactly how tall his dad is. I didn’t see that happening where, oh, my God, Jesus Christ, this guy’s now a physical specimen.

“Jack’s really developed into a force. He’s seeded No 4 so to me he’s the fourth favourite without a doubt. He’s absolutely put himself in the mix. He’s put himself in a great position. He doesn’t have to deal with Sinner or Alcaraz until the semis, that’s all you can ask for.”

Draper — who is now over his bout of tonsillitis — faced Denmark’s Holger Rune yesterday in an exhibition match at  the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic in Hurlingham, South-West London.

After taking a set each, Draper won the deciding tiebreak 10-4.

And ahead of today’s SW19 main draw at 10am, the Londoner said: “There are a lot of British players and talent, it’s really exciting.

“I will compete hard. It’s a great  opportunity. I feel good and prepped. I feel strong and ready. At this level, everyone’s a great player and everyone can challenge people, even the best players in the world.

“My mindset is whoever I play against I’ll have the utmost respect for. They’re in the draw for a reason, they’re going to be dangerous.

“They’re going to want to come out  and swing against a guy who’s a home player and who’s highly ranked. I know whoever I play in the first round is going to be an incredibly tough match but I’ll be ready for that.

“It’s going to be a privilege to play as the British No 1 and that’s what I’ve always wanted. I’ve wanted to make Centre Court or Wimbledon my environment and I’m looking forward to hopefully starting that.”

Brooklyn Beckham makes sweet family gesture sparking hopes of an end to bitter feud

BROOKLYN Beckham tonight paid a sweet tribute to a family member sparking hopes that the bitter feud could soon end.

The 26-year-old reportedly cut off all contact with his parents and siblings amid an ongoing fallout.

The 26-year-old still isn’t seeing eye to eye with his immediate family[/caption]

But his love for his nan Sandra, 76, hasn’t diminished and he has wished her a heartfelt happy birthday.

Alongside a picture of him and his grandma posted on Instagram, he wrote: “Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.”

Though it is his first public acknowledgement of his family in many months, there are still seemingly many hurdles to overcome.

Last month Brooklyn completely snubbed dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations, failing to attend his parties or pay tribute to him on social media.

Nor did he congratulate his dad after news emerged of his knighthood.

Yet yesterday Brooklyn wished his father-in-law Nelson a happy birthday with a very public display of support for the 83-year-old billionaire businessman.

On Monday, there was a snub the other way when Victoria and David Beckham didn’t acknowledge an anniversary post Brooklyn made in which he paid tribute to his actress wife, who is said to have a frosty relationship with her mother-in-law.

The couple were cheered on by Brooklyn’s Godfather, Elton John, who called them “the sweetest, most loving couple”.

It’s not known whether or not Elton’s supportive comment have affected his friendship with David and Victoria.

According to The Mail, Brooklyn’s family – which include Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13 – refer to the aspiring chef as ‘The Hostage’.

It has been reported he now spends most of his evenings alone with his wife, watching TV by the fire and running her baths.

Brooklyn, who lives in LA, appeared to previously take a swipe at his family on Instagram when he posted a video with Nicola amid claims she was at the heart of the falling out.

He emphasised his ‘choice’ to stick by her, writing: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.”

Seething Love Island fans slam ‘vile’ Ben and demand he’s axed in public vote after explosive row with Yasmin

LOVE Island fans were left seething as they slammed Ben as being ‘vile’ and demanded he’s axed in public vote.

The contestants that receive the fewest votes from the public will be at risk of being dumped from the show.

In tonight’s episode of Love Island, Yasmin Pettet, 24, decided to pull her current couple partner, Ben Holbrough, 23, for a chat.

Although she went in with the intention of squashing any underlying tension, things soon got heated.

She accused him of saying negative things about her to the boys behind her back, as she hinted that he didn’t appreciate her enough.

He seemed to blame her for choosing him in the last recoupling, to which she replied: “Who else would I have chosen at the end of the day?”

The private taxi driver responded: “I haven’t really been feeling you to be fair.”

She was completely taken aback by his comments as she sarcastically snapped back: “Okay, I’m glad you’re honest about that now.”

Flicking her hair in disgust, she added: “That’s like really helpful.”

He then dug himself deeper as he explained: “I gave it a go because I felt like I had to.”

When she said that she felt like he did not really give their partnership a proper chance, he then said: “I didn’t really want to, to be fair.”

The argument seemed to escalate as she was not happy with how Ben seemed to hide his true feelings, saying: “Don’t f****** waste my time.”

He then insulted her further with his responses

“You’re lucky Shea even picked you. To be fair, I think you’re lucky you’re even in here now to be fair.

“No one rated you when you were in here let’s say. You’ve only come out your shell because you’re in a couple with me.”

Before storming off, she snapped back: “The world doesn’t f******* revolve around you.

“I’m trying so f******** hard to be nice to you and it’s taking everything in me not to snap and say something sarcastic and really b*****.”

Yaz said: “You’re so immature,” as he remarked that, “no man wants you in here.”

No-one rated you when you were in here lets say. You’ve only come out your shell because you’re in a couple with me.

As she walked away, Ben shouted to the rest of the villa: “Eh, she’s made content for the next three weeks lads.”

After watching what could be one of the most hard-to-watch arguments in Love Island history, fans took to social media to slam Ben in droves.

Writing on X – formerly known as Twitter – one fan wrote: “Ben resorting to insults. Immature. Bye Felicia.”

A second claimed: “Ben is the type to only respect women he finds attractive. Nasty piece of work,” along with a puke emoji.

“I don’t think Ben did himself any favours in the chat,” noted a third viewer.

As a fourth fumed: “Watching Ben speaking to Yas was one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve seen in a long time. It wasn’t good content or drama, it was genuinely just vile.”

And a fifth added: “Yasmin did not deserve that from Ben. Vile!”

Who is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s wife Frida Munoz?

Chavez Jr is married to Frida Munoz, who was born on July 26, 1987.

The pair have been embroiled in speculation ever since 2021, with rumours around their separation.

They entered divorce proceedings after Chavez Jr was arrested in LA on gun charges in January 2024.

It is unknown whether Frida will be in attendance at the fight against Jake Paul this weekend.

But this is just one chapter in the 37-year-old’s storied past, which has seen her navigate the dark world of drug cartels and the intense spotlight of boxing fame.

While she now spends her time creating content for her 80,000 followers on Instagram, the mother of three has gone through a lot to get to where she is today.

What was Frida Munoz’s early life like?

Frida first came into the spotlight when she started a relationship with Edgar Guzman Lopez, the son of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

During their youth in Mexico, the couple was heavily involved, resulting in the birth of their daughter in 2006.

But in 2008, Frida’s life was turned upside down when Edgar was murdered by a rival cartel.

Now a widow, Frida continued to raise her daughter, Frida Guzman Munoz, alone, despite the intense scrutiny she was under due to her former connection with El Chapo.

When did Frida and Chavez Jr meet?

The couple met after her former flame, Edgar Guzman, had died, while Frida tried to rebuild her life.

They have two children together, Julia and Julio Cesar Chavez III.

Frida often shares pictures of her three children on social media

However, their marriage has faced many hurdles as Chavez Jr battled substance abuse, which he publicly blamed Frida for.

In 2016, the former world champion accused Frida of kidnapping their daughter. He believed she had been kidnapped after Frida took her to a different country without his knowledge.

Chavez Sr had to step in to confirm that Frida had not done so, but the incident only mounted pressure on their relationship.

Legal Troubles

During her marriage to Chavez Jr, Frida found herself embroiled in a public scandal after she was faced with legal challenges from Mexican authorities, in 2015.

During this time, the Mexican authorities froze her bank accounts as part of a wider investigation to find her former partner’s father El Chapo, who had escaped from prison.

It took until 2018 for her cards to be unfrozen, but her public image took a mighty hit due to her connection with these illicit activities.

Despite her past, Frida continues to enjoy life with her children

Nowadays, Frida is focused on creating a semblance of normalcy for her children while also balancing her time as an influencer.

Former world champion Chavez Jr takes on YouTuber and Mike Tyson victor Jake Paul on Saturday, June 28 in Anaheim.

She shared a pic on Instagram of her birthday cake – which happened to be a ‘Colin The Catterpillar’ cake – complete with candles depicting her age.

However, her kids appear to have gotten the ‘3’ and the ‘8’ backwards, leading to a self-aware quip from her mum.

She said: “Thanks guys. Not easy being 83…”

Nonetheless, Jess evidently appreciated the gesture, as she shared a pic of her and her kids alongside the caption “lucky mummy”.

Earlier on Thursday afternoon, her rugby legend husband Peter O’Mahony posted a birthday tribute of his own.

The Ireland and Munster titan said: “Happy Birthday to my wife Jess.

“Someone who has been by my side everyday through it all & who is the best mum to our three kids.”

O’Mahony has jetted off to South Africa in preparation for representing the Barbarians against the Springboks in his final game before retirement.

In his stead, Jess has stepped up to take on his gardening duties, with Peter sharing a screengrab from a greenhouse surveillance camera showing her watering the plants.

He quipped: “Glad to see you made time for watering the plants on your bday”.

She responded to that in style by remarking: “Pierre gives no days off from the gardening”.

It is a good thing that the mum-of-three has been helping out with the garden while her husband has been away considering the extensive work he recently finished on it.

The dad-of-three took to Instagram to outline an extensive job he had been conducting in recent weeks.

Alongside a video of the work being done, O’Mahony revealed that it had required 15 bags of manure and three TONNES of mulch.

He explained: “I’ve been planning to revamp the herbaceous planting in all 3 beds over the last few years.

“I’m happy with the structural planting now but I knew the flowering had a big refresh in it.

“Over a few weeks recently we removed all bulbs, perennial plants, plants that I had moved from pots into beds and weeds.

“We then drew up a small list of plants that we repeated in groups along the boarders.

“2 of the smaller beds are quite shaded so the planting in them is different to the long boarder witch is mostly full sun.

“We planted nearly 300 perennials and some grasses throughout the 3 beds.

“Then added lots of garden compost and 15 bags of well rotted manure followed by 3 tonne bags of mulch.

“I think what we’ve come up with now is a longer flowering period that should have interest from Spring to Autumn.

“Plan is now to do a full planting of bulbs come winter time but as of now I’m delighted with the way it’s turning out.

“I’ll keep you up dated on how it matures…!”

Juventus join Jadon Sancho transfer race with Old Lady aiming to beat Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce to Man Utd flop

JUVENTUS are looking to edge out Fenerbahce in the race for Jadon Sancho’s signature.

Manchester United are keen to offload the out-of-favour England winger.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce — managed by ex-United boss Jose Mourinho — were hopeful of a cut-price £15million move.

However Juventus are now aiming to hold talks with Sancho’s camp.

Napoli have also shown interest and United hope it might create an auction for a player who is surplus to requirements.

Sancho, 25, returned to United last month when Chelsea chose to pay a £5m penalty clause at the end of his loan agreement rather than the £25m to make the deal permanent.

It was the latest set-back for the former Borussia Dortmund winger who has struggled since making a £73m move to Old Trafford in 2021.

Sancho had an underwhelming loan spell in west London, scoring just five goals in 42 outings.

But one of those strikes came in Chelsea’s Conference League final win over Real Betis.

And Sancho also managed to help himself to 10 assists under Enzo Maresca.

A move to Juventus would see Sancho link up with fellow Englishman Lloyd Kelly.

The centre-back moved to Turin from Newcastle in January.

And he has been a regular under boss Igor Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta in March.

Potential teammates also include ex-Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz and former Leeds loanee Winston McKennie.

While he could be joined at Juve by fellow Chelsea misfit Nicolas Jackson, whose place has come under threat from Liam Delap.

Rihanna’s dad Ronald Fenty’s cause of death revealed after his sudden death aged 70

RIHANNA’S dad Ronald Fenty died from a series of devastating health complications, it has been revealed.

An insider revealed how Rihanna’s been going through an emotional roller-coaster[/caption]

But a death certificate obtained by TMZ now says the official cause was a combination of acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer and aspiration pneumonia.

Additional contributing causes included acute renal failure and acute tubular necrosis, indicating severe kidney damage.

Ronald died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and news of his passing has left the pop superstar — currently pregnant with her third child — heartbroken.

An insider told the Daily Mail: “Robyn has had a very difficult relationship with her father over the years but his death has hit her like a ton of bricks.

“Being pregnant and dealing with ASAP’s legal woes have been an emotional roller coaster for her the last few months, and to add to it all, her dad was getting sick, and it started to become too much.

“As much as you realize that something like this is occurring, it is still completely heartbreaking and that is where she is right now.”

Despite years of ups and downs, the source said the dad and daughter found peace in Ronald’s final days.

“She has forgiven her father and, in death, they got back to a loving father and daughter relationship,” they added.

Rihanna was reportedly by her dad’s side at the hospital when he died.

Her partner A$AP Rocky also rushed to be by her side after her father’s passing.

Rihanna and Ronald’s relationship was complex and often turbulent.

In 2009, she revealed the two hadn’t spoken in over a year after he “embarrassed” her while on tour.

She said at the time: “He disrespected some people on the bus and I didn’t like that, so I kind of just let him go back home.”

The pop icon also expressed disappointment after her dad gave media interviews in the wake of her assault by then-boyfriend Chris Brown.

“He kind of did something that was really upsetting. He turned his back on me and went to the media,” she said.

In 2019, the singer sued her father for using the Fenty name to promote his company.

But she dropped the lawsuit two years later, reportedly reaching a settlement.

Ronald, who battled addiction for years, was once kicked off Rihanna’s tour bus in 2008 for drunken behaviour, and later booted from her Diamond Ball in 2014 after falling over drunk on the red carpet.

Despite these struggles, Rihanna supported him through a $58,000 rehab program in Malibu and even bought him a house in Barbados.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ronald revealed that Rihanna checked in on him daily and even sent him a ventilator after he tested positive for the virus.

“I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn,” he told The Sun in 2020.

By 2022, the two were on better terms.

Ronald told Page Six he was “ecstatic” to learn his daughter was expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky.

“I’m so happy that I jumped for joy. I’m still so excited,” he said.

“She’s going to be a good mom.”

Ronald shared Rihanna, along with sons Rajad and Rorrey, with his ex-wife Monica Braithwaite.

He also had three other children — Kandy, Samantha, and Jamie — from previous relationships.
