Boxer gets ELECTRIC SHOCK and is left unconscious in freak accident in event in Thailand for fighters on cannabis

A BOXER suffered a horror ELECTRIC SHOCK after winning a fight in a Weed Boxing event in Thailand.

Former ONE Championship star Ivan Parshikov suffered the freak accident during his celebrations.

The Russian fighter had taken his professional record to 16-5-0 but his jubilation was cut short.

Parshikov, 29, climbed up on the ropes and looked like he was going to jump into the pool that oddly surrounded the ring.

However, as he reached for a ringside light, he got an electric shock.

His body entirely stiffened before he crashed back down to the canvas.

Fortunately, he was able to spring back up quickly and continue his celebratory dive into the water.

This is despite some social media posts claiming he had been electrocuted, which refers to death or serious injury.

He was then able to get medical attention to give him the all clear.

Parshikov has seen the funny side of the incident as he posted the video of it on Instagram.

Fans were shocked by the clip as they flooded the comment section.

One posted: “Omg you lucky your alive bro.”

A second wrote: “Is there a new battle nickname now ‘Charged’?”

A third commented: “He won in the ring, but came out of the ring as a loser.”

A fourth said: “He’s a power bank, charged for the whole evening.”

Another added: “That fight was shocking.”

He has also shared a new video of himself receiving electrotherapy from a TENS machine.

Parshikov’s judgment could have been clouded as the WBC is the only promotion that requires fighters to “smoke a bong or a joint” before the bout.

It has previously been promoted by boxing icon Mike Tyson.

Orlando Bloom ‘won’t try to win Katy Perry back’ after ‘months of relationship issues’ before split after nine years

ORLANDO Bloom “won’t try to win fiancee” Katy Perry back after their nine-year relationship came to an end, according to reports.

The claims comes as the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, “made his debut as a single man” at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s A-List wedding of the year.

Orlando, 48, was claimed to be making his ‘single man debut’ at Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding this week[/caption]

Orlando was seen embracing Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Kim Kardashian, 44, at the three-day celebration.

It came after he was caught “ogling” the Skims founder and Hulu Tv star in an image taken on a night out with popstar Katy, 40.

For her part, the Roar hitmaker is said to have already told pals their relationship was as good as done

And now a source has suggested the Hollywood A-Listers, who share daughter Daisy, are on the same page and said: “They had broken up before and in the following years things could get tense and to a point where it was often make or break, and they would choose to make up.

“But shortly after her Video Vanguard Award and performance in September, they started to disconnect more as she was getting ready to release music, go on tour and take the space flight.

“After the holidays and into the New Year, it was just one little thing after another.”

They added to MailOnline: “He isn’t going to try to get her back.

“It’s over and he has accepted it.”

The Sun has gone to reps for Katy and Orlando for comment.

LETTING SLIP

It has previously been claimed that Katy – who is on tour in Australia – had told her mates their engagement was over at the start of the year, before removing her engagement ring.

A source close to the couple said at the time: “Katy confided in friends at the start of the year that their relationship was as good as done.

“They decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them, because they are desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter.

“But they have spent barely any time together this year, with Katy on tour and Orlando working on his upcoming film Bucking Fastard in Dublin.

“She knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message.

“It’s been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.”

The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later. However, The Sun understands they had difficult conversations about their future over Christmas and in January but struggled to make a firm decision.

Reps for the couple refused to comment when approached about their separation in February and again this week.

ALL CHANGE

Last week, The Sun reported how Orlando and Katy held crisis talks to try to save their relationship after leading increasingly separate lives.

American news website TMZ then said Brit-born Orlando would be “the life of the party” and that he would be hitting “the dancefloor hard” when he arrives in Italy for the nuptials.

An insider said: “No one has decided it’s definitely the end of the road for Katy and Orlando.

“They both love each other, but they have been living different lives for at least a year and in different mindsets.”

It’s understood Orlando and Katy are planning on reuniting on July 4 when there is a break in her touring schedule.

The insider added: “They have barely been together for a decent amount of time, without distractions, for many, many months.”

Tensions within their relationship also reached boiling point after Katy’s flight to space on board Jeff’s Blue Origin.

Katy, along with Lauren and Gayle King, were hit with a public backlash and those close to Orlando said he had warned Katy about taking part.

They said: “From day one, Orlando didn’t think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face a backlash.”

UK may ban airlines from charging for hand luggage – but it could hike your flight price, experts warn

AIRLINES could be banned from charging British passengers bringing hand luggage on flights, it is claimed.

Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander is understood to be considering proposals to change the rules after the EU Parliament transport and tourism committee put forward a new law to allow two carry-on items free as standard.

If the new law is approved, passengers flying on any EU airline will be allowed a free cabin bag to put in the overhead locker – as long as it weighs no more than 7kg and measures up to 100cm.

Ryanair and Wizz Air introduced fees for large cabin bags in 2018, and easyJet followed suit in 2021.

However, the likes of British Airways and Jet2.com already include two pieces of cabin baggage as standard in their base fairs.

But there are fears some airlines will put up ticket prices to claw back revenue losses – with some claiming the proposals are unworkable due to lack of space and warn flights maybe delayed.

A transport source spoke to the i newspaper after the EU committee voted to introduce the standardised allowance.

Due to varying rules across airlines, the European Parliament hopes to create a common standard across the board for carry-on luggage.

The proposals are still under discussion by member states and a time frame for implementation are unclear, though a meeting is scheduled for July.

The UK source told the i the Government was also looking at changing the law in the coming months, although policy development is at an early stage.

A Department for Transport spokeswoman said: “We do not comment on speculation but continue to closely monitor the EU’s proposals on air passenger rights reforms.

“We want to make sure passengers can travel with ease, which is why we landed a deal with the EU to allow millions more British nationals to use e-gates at airports in time for the summer holidays.”

Airlines have warned they may need to increase ticket prices which would impact all passengers, including those travelling with smaller bags.

Airlines for Europe Managing Director Ourania Georgoutsakou told Politico: “The European Parliament should let travellers decide what services they want, what services they pay for and, importantly, what services they don’t.”

Airlines for Europe also warned that its members won’t be able to comply with the new rule due to lack of space.

A typical cabin seats 180 passengers but has room for only 90 trolley bags in the overhead lockers.

Last year, there were reports that there were going to be changes to the hand luggage rules – but these did not change.

Speaking to The Independent at the time, Michael O’Leary, chief executive of Europe’s biggest budget carrier, Ryanair said: “We do think there should be a standardised agreement on what can be brought on board.

“We’re working with the other airlines in A4E to try to agree standardised sizes, but we haven’t reached an agreement with them yet.”

While the rules continue to be discussed, check out this popular travel bag that’s allowed on Ryanair flights for free.

Plus the travel bags, plane outfits and accessories we can’t live without – and they start from just 99p.

Expert opinion on what the new rules mean for you

Head of Travel Lisa Minot weighs in.

EUROPEAN plans to force all airlines to allow passengers to bring a bag weighing less than 7kg into the cabin as well as an under-seat bag seem on the face of it to be a good outcome for travellers.

But there could be a sting in the tail for flyers going forward.

Low cost airlines have for years been keeping the price of base fares low by adding on an ever more dizzying array of extra charges.

And these ancillary charges now make up an increasing percentage of their profits.

These extra charges now make up more than 30per cent of Ryanair’s revenue. Between October and December last year, Ryanair’s ancillary revenues were worth £884million.

Airlines argue that if they are forced to comply with the new laws, the base fares will have to rise for every passenger across the board, including those flying smaller bags.

They also point out many airlines won’t be able to comply with the new rules as typically planes that carry 180 passengers only have room for 90 trolley bags.

But on the plus side, forcing all airlines to adhere to the same rules can only be a good thing.

Right now, the disparity between the size and weight of bags and the prices airlines charge is hideously complicated and can often lead to passengers being caught out.

Influencer mum-of-4 slammed for ’embarrassing’ style choices aged 37 insists she won’t stop wearing beloved belly tops

AN INFLUENCER mum who’s regularly trolled over her wardrobe choices has insisted she won’t stop wearing her beloved belly tops.

Anna Saccone Joly regularly shares videos and pictures of herself and her family – husband Jonathan and their four kids – on her social media pages.

But she’s found herself targeted over her wardrobe, which has included a tonne of crop tops since she had a “mummy makeover”, including a tummy tuck, in August 2023.

Lots of people in the comments on Anna’s videos have insisted she’s too old, at 37, to be wearing the stomach-baring ensembles.

“The belly tops are embarrassing at nearly 40,” one person insisted.

“Give your children’s clothes back to them!” another added.

“If you don’t like others comments & opinions…” a third commented.

“Stop flaunting it over social media then – go be a mother to your kids instead of trying to be one of them!!!”

However, YouTuber and influencer Anna hit back at the comments as she lip-synced along to Billy Joel’s My Life, pretending to sing: “I don’t care what you say anymore this is my life.

“Go ahead with your own life, leave me alone!”

“I guess I didn’t realise we were meant to dress like old maids in our late 30s,” she added in the caption.

And others agreed with her in the comments section of the TikTok, encouraging Anna to wear exactly what she wants.

“You can never be too old to wear a belly top,” one wrote in the comments.

“Agree!” Anna replied.

“So pretty and even with surgery you should be able to show off you new look,” another added.

“I would wear one in winter if I was you!” a third said.

“We spend our entire young lives being judged for what we wear and look like,” someone else commented.

“Getting to a point where you are comfortable and confident in a style that works for you is the goal.

How to blast belly fat WITHOUT going to the gym or dieting

Chew your food

This mindfulness trick is used to focus your brain on the food you are eating – how it tastes and feels – rather than scoffing it in a hurry. If the brain does not register that you have eaten, you’ll soon crave more food.

Avocado a day

Eating avocado every day can fight visceral fat in women, which collects around the organs in the stomach and can lead to diabetes, heart attack, and some cancers, according to a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign study of 105 people.

Avoid fizzy drinks

Losing belly “fat” may just be a case of preventing bloating, which can be onset by fizzy soft drinks. Instead, keep hydrated with water.

Reduce alcohol

Alcohol does no favours at all for our health or figures. It is ’empty calories’, meaning it contributes to your calorie intake without giving any nutritional benefit.

Hangovers can also lead you to eat more fatty foods, while putting you off exercising.

Sleep more

Various studies have shown that if you’re not sleeping well, it can cause weight gain.

People are more likely to crave junk food when they are sleep deprived because, not only are they in need of an energy boost, but their appetite hormones are all over the place.

Reduce stress

Stress causes an imbalance of hormones, particularly cortisol. This hormone has been linked with obesity and excess belly fat.

Find ways to reduce your stress to avoid the so-called ‘stress belly’.

“I recently lost some weight and now wear tops similar to this.

“I’m 37 and have spent literally DECADES hating my body – I freaking earned the right to wear whatever the hell I want.”

“You look great, it’s flattering on you,” another said.

“Clothing doesn’t have specific ages. Not sure why anyone cares lol!”

“I’m 36 and wear whatever I like!” someone else wrote.

“I WILL NOT LIVE MY LIFE IN THE OPINION OF OTHERS!! All the haters are just JEALOUS!!! PERIOD.”

“If I looked as good as you, I’d be rocking that outfit everyday,” another commented.

“You do you hun!”
