GettyLewis O’Brien is attracting interest from across the Championship this summer[/caption]
Forest want £8million O’Brien, a figure that could cool the interest of those monitoring him.
O’Brien shone on loan at Swansea last season, where he made 16 Championship appearances after making the switch in the winter window.
But his eye-catching performances may have worked against him as Forest now chase a bigger fee big fee.
Hull have already launched an approach at £5m and may up their offer to land him.
O’Brien is in the last year of his deal at Forest having joined the club back in 2022.
His time at The City Ground has been a frustrating one, making just 17 first-team appearances since arriving from Huddersfield Town.
Instead, O’Brien has had to settle for minutes elsewhere – heading on loan to four separate clubs since his move.
Those temporary switches have included spells in the Championship with Middlesbrough and Swansea, as well as two forays to the USA with MLS clubs LA FC and DC United.

O’Brien left the door open for a return to Swansea at the end of last season.
He said: “I have really enjoyed my time here. It’s never out of the question [returning], but sometimes it’s not in my hands, especially having to go back to my parent club.
“We will see what the summer holds. It’s never say never really.”
Meanwhile Swans manager Alan Sheehan also made it clear he would love O’Brien back in South Wales.
He said: “The effect he has had on the place, he has been exceptional. I cannot speak highly enough about him and I make no secret of that.
“If he is available, should you try to re-sign him? I think that’s quite an obvious answer.”

WHEN you spend long summer days in the garden, keeping pesky flies and mosquitos at bay is a top priority.
Fortunately, there are many great repellent options available if you’re tired of the constant buzzing by your ears.

tiktok/@hannahtuite2Fellow shoppers can snap up this plant for as little as £6.99 from Tesco[/caption]
However, for pest control that also makes your outdoor space look better, it’s worth considering adding a special plant that will kill the unwelcome visitors.
Most of us have heard that adding basil or rosemary to the greenery works wonders.
But turns out, there’s another plant worth snapping up from your local Tesco – the Venus Fly Trap.
The ultimate natural pest control is this carnivorous plant that captures pesky insects and spidersin its claw-like, clamshell-shaped leaves.
Once the pest has been trapped, the plant snaps them shut, and then “eats” its unsuspecting prey by releasing digestive enzymes.
While these plants are certainly fascinating and entertaining to watch, the Venus Fly Trap requires rather specific conditions.
For best results, you should plant it outside for full sun – however, if that’s not an option, you can keep it on a sunny windowsill with an additional artificial light nearby.
The fly-munching trap also likes wet soil, meaning if in a pot, its roots must always be sitting in water.
As the plant can’t handle hard water that comes from most taps in the UK, it’s strongly advised to keep it hydrated with distilled or clean rainwater.
If the trap is unable to catch food on its own, green-fingered Brits should keep it fed with insects, blood worms, or fish food.
Keen to see whether this chemical-free solution works? Shoppers can snap up Venus Fly Trap in a Tin from Tesco for just £6.99, order it from Amazon for £13.99 or buy it from their local B&Q on sale for £16.35.
One person who was recently amazed by how well the plant worked was Irish lass and TikToker Hannah Tuite – her plant caught a fly just an hour after purchasing it.
”Wasn’t expecting this to work, let alone so quick,” she told fellow social media users in the now-viral video.
Why do flies come out in summer?
Flies are present all year round, but all of a sudden when summer comes, they are just EVERYWHERE!
The main contributing factors are the breeding cycle of flies and the soaring temperatures.
Insects are cold blooded and in summer, when their body temperature rises from the external heat, they become more active.
The hotter weather also let’s them seek out cool moist spots, like inside your home, to escape from the sweltering heat and to lay their eggs.
House Fly eggs take around 20 hours to hatch, but when the temperature rises above 37 degrees, can hatch within 8 hours!
In extreme hot weather the eggs can mature from larvae to adult fly in as little as four days.
The average lifespan of a housefly is 21 days, so each female can lay up to 900 eggs during the summer months!
However, if you’re on the lookout for a less barbaric option, the stunning lavender works a treat too – and it will leave your garden smelling amazing.
Although lavender is one of the most beloved scents for humans, flies can’t stand the scent of it.
Therefore, if you plant the fragrant flower near the entrance to your home or on the windowsill, it will act as a barrier against flies.
Anyone wanting to try out this simple hack won’t have to fork out much, as Aldi is launching a lavender plant for just £3.79.
The bargain bloom will be available at stores across the UK from June 12, so flower fans had better set their alarms to be in with the chance of snagging the product.

AN URGENT warning has been issued to Irish holidaymakers over record-breaking heat sweeping across Europe.
Irish holiday hotspots, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy, have been placed under an urgent weather alert for scorching temperatures as Europe suffers rising temperatures this weekend.
Many sunshine countries in Europe is suffering an record-breaking heatwaveGETTY_HUBWarnings has been issued for many countriesFacebookSpain and Portugal suffer temperatures going up to a whopping 42 degreesFacebook
It comes as weather expert Alan O’Reily from Carlow Weather revealed that the majority of the European countries are suffering “real heat” as Ireland and most of the United Kingdom miss out on it.
Taking to social media, he said: “Mild and humid here but we are just missing out the real heat as the temperatures at 5pm Saturday across Europe show with over 40c inland in parts of Spain.”
The map also shows that Italy has reached up to a whopping 36 degrees, while Portugal saw 39 degrees, and France ranged from 20 to 37 degrees.
The majority of European countries experienced hot temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees, with Scandinavia ranging from 15 to 24 degrees.
While the temperatures reach a high of 15 to 20 degrees in Ireland, the Southern region of the United Kingdom suffers temperatures between 24 and 30 degrees.
However, the heat wave conditions are expected to worsen tomorrow, with the conditions at their peak.
Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, issued an urgent warning for the country over the major heat wave, which is set to last until Tuesday, July 1.
They revealed that the heat wave originated from the African continent and has extended across their territory, which will lead to a “gradual increase in temperature”.
They added: “This increase will be reinforced by the arrival of a warm, dry mass of Saharan origin across the western peninsula, bringing some haze beginning Sunday afternoon.
“As a result, very high and persistent temperatures are expected, both during the day and at night, which could pose a risk to exposed and/or vulnerable people.”
Tomorrow, the temperatures are expected to exceed 38 degrees across the southwest region, across the northern plateau, the eastern part of the southern plateau and the Jucar and Segura valleys.
And temperatures may reach between 40 and 42 degrees in the Guadalquivir, Genil, Guadiana, Tajo, and Ebro valleys.
The warning includes popular sunshine spots in Marbella, Malaga, Sevilla, the Canary Islands, Ibiza and Palma.
WARNINGS FOR PORTUGAL, FRANCE & ITALY
Several warnings have also been issued separately for Portugal, France, and Italy due to the ongoing heat wave, with advice and tips for following.
Portugal urged people to stay in cool or air-conditioned environments for at least two to three hours a day, avoid direct exposure to the sun, especially during midday when it’s at its peak.
Using sunscreen with a factor of 30 or higher is recommended; ensure to reapply it every two hours and after swimming at the beach or pool.
France is expected to reach 35 to 38 degrees locally and up to 39 degrees inland tomorrow, making the nights even more unsettled.
A severe weather alert has been issued for everyone due to the potential heat stroke.
KEEPING SAFE IN HOT WEATHER
ALTHOUGH many people enjoy warm weather, heatwaves can cause heat exhaustion and heatstroke in the elderly, young children, and other vulnerable groups.
The HSE has issued advice for people who are experiencing very hot weather.
And the health bosses stressed the importance of staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water to ensure you do not experience dehydration.
When inside, the HSE advised:
Turn off lights and appliances not in use as they generate heat
Close windows that face the sun during the day, and open them at night when the temperature drops
Close curtains in rooms that get morning or afternoon sun
Sprinkle water over your skin, or keep a damp cloth on the back of your neck
Use an electric fan (but only if temperature is below 35C)
When outside:
Avoid going out during the hottest part of the day if possible (11am to 3pm)
Wear light and loose-fitting clothing that covers your skin
Wear a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses
Regularly apply a broad-spectrum (UVA and UVB) water-resistant sunscreen to skin that is not covered
Stay in the shade
Elderly people, people who regularly take medicine, those suffering from chronic diseases or those with mental health troubles are at risk.
People are urged to drink water several times a day and continue to eat normally; they are also encouraged to stay indoors during the hottest hours and stay cool in an air-conditioned place for 2-3 hours a day.
Italy issued a major red alert for 21 cities this weekend, including the capital, Rome, and popular cities such as Milan and Venice.
People are also advised not to go outdoors between 11am and 6pm and seek shelter in air-conditioned public places.
In Venice, the temperatures have hit a whopping 31 degrees but have been reported to feel 35 degrees due to the humidity.
FURTHER WARNINGS FOR EUROPE
While Albanian firefighters fought Thursday to contain at least eight fires after flames damaged dozens of homes in the country’s south last weekend, authorities in Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia also issued health warnings throughout the Adriatic.
Each warning has been issued through their official government website, and the locals and tourists are urged to follow their local authorities’ advice to stay safe during the heatwave.
Weather agencies in Greece have also issued a warning for the islands, as temperatures are set to reach over 40 degrees, including Athens.
Strong winds, dryness, and high temperatures associated with climate change have made the nation more susceptible to summer fires in recent years.
Firefighters reported Friday that a forest fire that had prompted evacuations in the Athens area was under control, but they cautioned that the city and the northern Aegean islands were at high risk of fire due to the intense heat.
Tourists are urged to stay safe during the heatwaveGETTY_HUB

DEFIANT Kneecap member Mo Chara roared, “Glastonbury, I’m a free man!” as the Irish rap trio took to the West Holts Stage at the festival.
The Gaelgoir group, who hail from Belfast, have been in the headlines after member Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, was charged with a terror offence.

News broadcasts criticising the hip hop trio played from the sound system before they walked onto the stage were booed by the Glastonbury Festival audience.
Access to the area around the West Holts Stage was closed around 45 minutes before their performance after groups of fans arrived to form a sea of Irish and Palestinian flags.
Member Naoise O Caireallain, who performs under the name Moglai Bap, said: “The Prime Minister of your country, not mine, said he didn’t want us to play, so f*** Keir Starmer.”
O hAnnaidh, 27, wore a keffiyeh during the set, while member JJ O Dochartaigh, who performs under the name DJ Provai, wore his signature tri-coloured balaclava as well as a T-shirt that said: “We are all Palestine Action” in reference to the soon-to-be banned campaign group.
Rap punk duo Bob Vylan performed on the stage before Kneecap and led the crowd in chants of “Free, free Palestine” and “Death, death to the IDF”.
In the run up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several British politicians called for the group to be removed from the line-up and UK prime minister Keir Starmer said their performance would not be “appropriate”.
Earlier today, the BBC confirmed they would not be live-streaming the set but said the performance is likely to be made available on-demand later.
A BBC spokesperson said: “As the broadcast partner, the BBC is bringing audiences extensive music coverage from Glastonbury, with artists booked by the festival organisers.
“While the BBC doesn’t ban artists, our plans ensure that our programming meets our editorial guidelines.
“We don’t always live-stream every act from the main stages and look to make an on-demand version of Kneecap’s performance available on our digital platforms, alongside more than 90 other sets.”
Earlier the band said on Instagram: “The propaganda wing of the regime has just contacted us….
“They WILL put our set from Glastonbury today on the iPlayer later this evening for your viewing pleasure.”
During their set at Glastonbury today, Mo Chara said: “The BBC editor is going to have some job.”
MORE PERFORMANCES
O hAnnaidh, 27, was charged with allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah, while saying “up Hamas, up Hezbollah” at a gig in November last year.
On June 18th, the rapper was cheered by hundreds of supporters as he arrived with bandmates Naoise O Caireallain and JJ O Dochartaigh at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in Free Mo Chara T-shirts.
Also playing on Saturday afternoon were Leeds rock band Kaiser Chiefs and US star Brandi Carlile, who released an album with Elton John earlier in the year.
Irish singer CMAT, who played the Pyramid Stage on Friday, performed a secret set at the BBC Introducing stage on Saturday.
Neil Young, best known for songs such as Rockin’ In The Free World, Like A Hurricane and Cinnamon Girl, headlined the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night with his band the Chrome Hearts.
The BBC broadcast Young’s set after previously saying it would not be shown “at the artist’s request”.
