Glastonbury secret act Patchwork’s identity confirmed as festival goers spot HUGE giveaway

THE identity of Glastonbury’s secret act Patchwork has apparently been confirmed.

Festival goers spotted a huge giveaway backstage at Worthy Farm after fans have been left guessing for weeks.

Later today, a mystery act with the name ‘Patchwork’ is due to take to the Pyramid Stage.

Organiser Emily Eavis has admitted that she has been trying to book this mystery artist or group for over a year.

They will fill the 6:15pm slot before RAYE and Neil Young‘s highly anticipated sets at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival.

Many suggested the name is a pseudonym for either Lorde, Haim or the indie band PULP.

However, it appears one festival goer may have figured it out as they spotted a clue on the box of a sound engineer by the pyramid stage.

A source told The Mirror: “I spotted the sound engineer box with Pulp’s name on as they were setting up during the Kaiser Chiefs set.”

The group were also mentioned by the popular social media account, SecretGlasto.

For the last decade, the profile has become known for predicting the surprise act on the lineup.

One person named Ad, who has helped to run the account is confident that they had correctly guessed most of the secret performers.

He previously told The BBC: “Of the four main slots, I think we’ve got three of them, maybe four, nailed down.

“I think it’s definitely people who have got relationships with the festival who will be doing the big slots.

“An emotional return for one or two, I think. Some unfinished business.”

The account was correct yesterday as Lewis Capaldi made an emotional return, two years after his heartbreaking set.

He took a two-year hiatus from performing after his 2023 set at Worthy Farm saw him tear up and suffer repeated tics.

Glastonbury 2025 - confirmed acts so far

TICKETS to the 2025 festival sold out in just minutes before some of the acts were even confirmed. Here is who has been confirmed so far.

Confirmed headliners:

  • The 1975 will take to the Pyramid Stage on Friday.
  • Neil Young will headline the festival for the second time after his last set in 2009 on Saturday after RAYE makes her return.
  • Charli xcx will headline the Other Stage on Saturday night.
  • On Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo is due to belt out her hits for her first appearance while Rod Stewart will perform in the legends slot.
  • More acts to appear on the Other Stage include Loyle Carner and The Prodigy.
  • Doechii will make her Glastonbury debut on the West Holts Stage on Saturday night.
  • Other names confirmed include Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Busta Rhymes, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Myles Smith, En Vogue, Amaarae, Cymande, Shaboozey, Osees and Gary Numan.

But a crowd of more than 100,000 people chanted his name as he swaggered back onto the stage yesterday.

He told the audience: “Glastonbury, it’s so good to be back. I’m not gonna say much up here today because if I do, I think I’ll probably start crying.

“But I said it’s just amazing to be here with you all, and I can’t thank you all enough for coming out and coming and seeing me.”

Pulp also have history with the festival as they previously performed in 1995 as well as 1998.

Disney holds ‘crisis talks’ after Jared Leto sexual misconduct report threatens to derail release of movie Tron: Ares

DISNEY has found itself scrambling to organize the promotion of Jared Leto’s new movie amid historic claims of sexual impropriety, an insider has exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

Leto, 53, has been accused by nine women, including some who were teenagers at the time.

The Oscar-winning actor is the lead in the movie, scheduled for an October release, and is also one of the producers[/caption]

Model Laura La Rue was among the accusers who said she was just 16 when the star, then 36, began flirting through messages and once emerged from a room at his house naked, according to a damming Air Mail report in early June.

Recalling the alleged experience at his house, she said, “I thought maybe this was just what adult men do.”

Leto’s reps denied any wrongdoing, saying, “Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate and Ms La Rue later applied to work as his personal assistant.”

La Rue denied she ever applied for the job, according to AirMail.

He is not being sued or charged with any crime, but the report has thrown a wrench in the works when it comes to promoting his latest films.

The Oscar-winning actor has two big-budget films being released in the coming months at Disney and Amazon MGM, Tron: Ares and Masters of the Universe.

Ahead of Tron’s release in October, Disney is scheduled to host a panel at San Diego ComicCon at the end of July, The Wrap reported, although it’s not known whether or not Leto will appear on it.

“Jared wants it to be business as usual ahead of the release of his new movie, but Disney is nervous about the promotion of Tron,” an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

“The accusations of sexual misconduct couldn’t have come at a worse time.

“The marketing team has been having crisis meetings ahead of its theatrical release in October.

“Disney is planning to host a panel at San Diego ComicCon to push Tron: Ares and Jared has made it known that he’s happy to be on it.

“He doesn’t want to hide away having denied the allegations and not only is he the lead, he’s one of the producers.

“Talks are still ongoing about how to handle the situation, but he will likely take part in some capacity and hold his head high.

“He is not being sued civilly and he isn’t being charged with a crime, if he were I think things would be a lot different.”

Disney may still have to cut its losses on this one.”

An insider told The U.S. Sun

Leto took to the stage to speak about Tron: Ares during CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on April 3, 2025, just two months before the report was published by AirMail.

One woman speaking to the outlet claimed his behavior “has been an open secret for a long time.”

The U.S. Sun’s source added, “Disney may still have to cut its losses on this one but will still do what it can to promote the movie and create a buzz.”

Neither Disney nor a representative for Leto responded to a request for comment.

San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 24 to 27. Tron is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 10.

The movie also Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee, Cameron Monaghan, and Jeff Bridges.

And although a big-budget movie usually comes with TV and print interview slots for its lead star and a social media push, there has been no marketing since the initial trailer was released in April.

Leto is also set to appear in Masters of the Universe, which is scheduled for release in June 2026, although he is not the lead character in the live-action feature film.

The actor has been cast as Skeletor, the primary antagonist to Nicholas Galitzine’s He-Man, according to reports.

Leto is also the frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars, which is on tour until the end of the summer.

He has played major roles in several movies, including The Joker in Suicide Squad, and won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Dallas Buyers Club.

MMA referee screams at doctors to help as former UFC star carried out of cage after sickening kick to testicles

A REFEREE screamed for help from a doctor after a former UFC star crumpled in agony from a kick to the testicles.

Alexander Romanov had to be carried from the cage in excruciating agony during just his second Professional Fighters League (PFL) match.

Valentin Moldavsky appeared distressed at his opponent’s fate

The Moldovan, 34, aka King Kong, was once a top UFC heavyweight prospect.

But he switched to a different Mixed Martial Art earlier this year.

And he was closing in on a PFL heavyweight title shot when a sickening blow sent him reeling.

Romanov was taking on 33-year-old Russian Valentin Moldavsky in Chicago.

And his eye-watering fate came as early as the opening round.

Romanov had been struggling to seriously trouble Moldavsky, despite landing a few of his renowned slam takedowns.

And when the younger man got up, he put on enough pressure to leave King Kong tiring.

Little more than 30 seconds were left in the first of the three five-minute rounds when the distressing moment arrived.

The pair were grasping each other on the ropes when Romanov delivered a knee to his opponent.

Moldavsky returned the blow in kind – but accidentally went too low.

Romanov instantly slumped to the floor, holding his groin – while his rival protested his innocence.

The ref yelled for medical aid as Romanov was in obvious agony and fight fans looked on worried.

Meanwhile, Moldavsky sunk to his knees, with his head down – apparently in rueful reflection

The cage-side doctor dashed over to treat the stricken giant.

And the doc soon confirmed the inevitable – that Romanov would be unable to continue.

The 18st 13lbs wrestler was then taken away on a stretcher.

It meant the bout – a PFL heavyweight tournament semi-final  – was ruled a “no contest”.

Romanov had dazzled when winning his only other PFL fight in May, beating 40-year-old American Timothy May by submission.

It left the East European well placed for a title shot – until a badly placed knee in his very next fight.
