Peter Andre issues stark warning to daughter Princess as she turns 18 and follows in mum Katie Price’s footsteps

PETER Andre celebrated his daughter Princess turning 18 with photos from her life – but shared a stark warning on her birthday.

The proud dad reflected on the milestone but told her to “be careful in this crazy world” as she takes her first steps into the spotlight.

Peter said: “Not enough words. So much love. My little girl is no longer a little girl.

“Keep being you. Kind, funny, sensitive, considerate and a bit bonkers….. oh, and a diva. But a diva full of heart.

“I know I tell you everyday but I’ll say it again. I love you so much.

“Happy 18th beautiful and please stay happy. But be careful in this crazy world. Im always here. Always. Dad.”

Princess replied to the sweet post: “Thank you dad.”

It comes as her mum Katie Price was forced to delete her birthday tribute to Princess – as she posted it 48 hours early.

The mum-of-five took to social media to wish her eldest daughter a happy birthday on Friday.

The 47-year-old who is currently in Dubai posted a sweet photo of her daughter on social media.

She captioned the image: “Happy 18th Birthday to the most amazing daughter.

“And my best friend @princess_andre. I love you so much.”

But Princess Andre was born on the 29th of June and Katie posted it on the 27th.

Realising her mistake, Katie then deleted her post and put up another image of her stunning daughter.

This time she captioned it with two love hearts and said: ” 2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx.”

Princess has already achieved much as she turns 18.

She has passed her driving test and shared pictures of her white Audi A1 she had bought.

Not only does the young teen have a swanky ride, but she even got a personalised number plate to boot.

Princess is already signed to the same agency as older brother, Junior.

But she hopes the fly-on-the-wall series will help launch her catwalk career.

A TV insider told The Sun: “Princess is very conscious of the fact her mum got famous very early in her career, so Katie is a big inspiration to her.

“Bagging her own TV show is a huge deal, but producers are keen to stress it is about her and not her famous parents

Katie and Peter started their relationship in 2004 after getting together on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!.

They had Junior and Princess during their four-year marriage.

But their relationship fell apart in 2009 and they divorced.

Iconic car brand in ’emergency talks’ over fears it will ‘end production’ in UK – despite saying it has ‘no plans’

EMERGENCY talks are reportedly being held today over an iconic car brand’s future in the UK.

The Government is understood to be stepping in to help Lotus stave off having to close its factory in Hethel, Norfolk, which employs 1,300 people.

Department officials are reported to have contacted the sports car manufacturer’s Chinese owners on Friday after it emerged closing the plant was allegedly on the cards.

Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds was set to hold talks on Sunday (June 29) with Geely Auto amid fears it would fall victim to US President Donald Trump’s trade tariff hike.

However, there is some confusion as the firm itself claimed yesterday it had “no plans to close the factory”.

A spokesperson added: “We are actively exploring strategic options to enhance efficiency and ensure global competitiveness in the evolving market.

“The UK is the heart of the Lotus brand — home to our sports car manufacturing, global design centre, motorsport operations, and Lotus Engineering. It is also our largest commercial market in Europe.

“We have invested significantly in R&D and operations in the UK, over the past six years.

“Lotus remains committed to the UK, and its customers, employees, dealers, suppliers, as well as its proud British heritage.”

Whitehall sources told The Times the future of the factory was a commercial decision for the company.

Trump announced in February a raft of “reciprocal” tariffs aimed at countering what his administration sees as unfair trade practices inflicted on the US by foreign nations.

On Friday, reports suggested it was inevitable Lotus’ UK production operations would be shifted across the Atlantic – perhaps as soon as early 2026.

Company chiefs said import taxes have “led us not to be able to export many vehicles to the US market”.

It comes after the US and UK announced a trade deal last month reducing import tariffs from 27.5% to 10%.

Lotus’s chief executive, Qingfeng Feng, told investors on Wednesday last week: “In the future, we are trying to leverage our US strategy to catch up the losses due to the tariff hike.

“At this moment, we are discussing localisation plans with our strategic partners in the US in order to avoid the influence of US tariffs.

“With our strategic partners, we had an in-depth discussion around the US landscape, and we believe that localisation is a feasible plan.”

Manufacturer’s history

Lotus – founded by engineer Colin Chapman in 1948 – began production at Hethel in 1966.

It has shifted hands multiple times over the years in various bids to stave off financial instability.

Geely bought a majority stake in 2017, before investing £3 billion in UK production, but later switched much of its focus to a plant in Wuhan, China.

The manufacturer announced 270 job cuts in the UK in April and said last week sales for the first three months of 2025 had fallen 42%, racking up a net loss of $183 million (£134 million).

The Sun has approached Lotus for comment.

Shock stats reveal 488 people sought medical attention in hospital for dog attack injuries in Ireland last year

THE number of people treated in hospitals for dog bites has increased year on year, new figures from the HSE reveal.

A total of 488 people had medical attention in Irish hospitals after dog attacks last year, compared to 343 treated in 2023.

The HSE said each patient’s injuries were recorded on their hospital in-patient or day care discharge sheet.

The 145 increase in patients suffering dog attack injuries comes as the Government brought in new laws banning devil dogs in February this year.

No one is allowed to keep a XL bully type pit bull terrier without an exemption certificate from their local authority.

The move to regulate the dangerous dogs came after a rise in dog attacks nationwide which culminated in the horrific death of Nicola Morey, 23, in June last year.

She was attacked and mauled to death by her own pit bull dogs at her Limerick home causing grave shock nationwide.

In a second serious incident a 9 year old boy, Alejandro Mizsan, had his face severely damaged after being attacked by a devil dog which was let off its lead by its owner.

The child had been out playing on the street with other kids in the Forgelands housing estate, Enniscorthy, Wexford and had to undergo facial surgery.

The dog’s owners Niall Byrne and Karen Millar were both subsequently jailed on various charges over the incident.

The Government hopes the new pit bull ban will reduce the number of dog attacks nationwide.

A source said: “It is very early days yet but if we get these pit bulls under control and off the streets there should be a long-term reduction in the number of attacks.

“There will also be other dogs out there who for whatever reason just turn vicious and attack people.”

The HSE has no data yet for people treated for dog bites in 2025.

DOG ATTACK IN MEATH

However, only a fortnight ago, a woman was attacked by a pit bull while out walking her pet dog in Navan, Co Meath, and her dog was killed by the brute.

She had to be taken to hospital with her injuries which were not life threatening.

Last year, the local authorities across Ireland said 442 people formally reported dog attack incidents to them for the whole of 2023.

The data for 2024 will not be released until next October.

The 14 symptoms of ‘common cancer’ that affects one in two people in their lifetime as HSE urge ‘know the signs’

A MAJOR alert has been issued over a common cancer that can destroy people’s healthy tissue and organs.

The Health Service Executive has urged people to know the signs of the common cancer to help spot it early in order to treat it in time before the condition worsens.

Cancer is a condition where cells in a part of your body grow and reproduce uncontrollably.

The cancerous cells can invade and destroy surrounding healthy tissue, including organs.

In Ireland, head and neck cancer is the fifth most common cancer in males, HSE reports.

More than one in two people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Cancer can happen at any age, but it is rare at a young age.

Half of the people diagnosed with cancer are aged 68 or over in Ireland.

There are more than 200 types of cancer, but the most common types of cancer in Ireland are skin cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, bowel cancer and lung cancer.

Issuing the warning, cancer signs and symptoms may include:

  • a new lump or bump
  • a lump or bump that changes in size or look
  • bleeding that you cannot explain – from anywhere in your body
  • bruising you do not know the cause of
  • pain that will not go away and has no clear cause
  • pooing more often than usual or constipation
  • blood in your pee or peeing more often than usual
  • changes on your skin – a new or changing mole
  • difficulty chewing, swallowing or moving your tongue
  • losing weight without trying or that you cannot explain
  • feeling tired all the time – more than is normal for you
  • a new, persistent cough or a change to to your usual cough
  • shortness of breath – more than is normal for you
  • night sweats you cannot explain

However, having these signs or symptoms does not mean you have cancer, these are the common signs and symptoms that are often caused by other conditions.

Despite this, people noticing any unusual signs or symptoms are urged to contact a GP to check them.

But if you are experiencing symptoms, do not wait until your next appointment for a bowel, breast or cervical screening – they are urged to seek an emergency appointment.

The cancer treatment varies as it depends on where it is, how big it is, if it has spread and your overall health.

If you’re diagnosed with cancer, a team of specialists will work together to give you the best treatment and care. This is also know as your multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

The team includes doctors and other health professionals who are experts in your type of cancer. Your healthcare team will discuss the treatment options they think are best for you. But the final decision is yours.

There are three main ways of treating cancer: surgery, radiotherapy, and cancer medicines.

HOW TO PREVENT CANCER?

Not all cancers can be prevented but there are things you can do to reduce your risk of developing cancer.

However, people can try to lower their chances of developing cancer by doing the following recommended things.

People are urged not to start smoking or quit, which will reduce their risk of at least 15 types of cancer.

Good eating habits and eating a wide variety of nourishing foods, such as foods high in fibre and avoiding processed foods, can reduce your risk of cancer.

Eating well also helps you manage your weight.
