Beloved car brand will RETURN to UK after two decades as it unveils new ‘forward-looking’ model
A BRITISH sports car maker is set to make a comeback after not producing any vehicles for over 20 years.
The small car manufacturer revealed that they have three new projects underway.

Dating back to 1959, Marcos began producing sports cars designed for racing, such as the Xylon before it went into liquidation more than two decades ago.
Owner and chairman of Marcos, Howard Nash, said: “Marcos is a much-loved British sports car brand.
“It has a wonderful history but also an ethos of simplicity for raw, driver-focused handling.
“It’s an analogue experience you can’t get from large car manufacturers and supercar brands, and one which I think enthusiasts hanker after today.”
He added: “We want to honour that original ethos while being forward-looking too, giving Marcos a new, younger audience, as well as bringing the brand back for those who grew up with it.”
F1 champions, including Jackie Stewart, and Derek Bell who has won Le Mans multiple times, have been behind the wheel of these British motors.
The new Marcos projects are reported to be under evaluation at the moment.
The first one is teased to be a “faithful reimaging of a much-loved Marcos model,” according the firm.
The second is expected to be a completely new model, that may even be suitable for use on the track and road.
It will, however, “honour the brand ethos of light weight, simplicity and seat-of-the-pants handling,” the company states.
The final project hopes to stay true to the cars’ history on the road.
This comes with the Marcos Car Company’s rights to original body moulds in its vehicles, as well as their manufacturing tooling.
Further details are likely to be revealed later.
The three new projects will be the first cars the manufacturer has produced in more than 20 years

I’m a midwife born without a womb – now I’m going to deliver my own baby when my surrogate best friend gives birth
A MIDWIFE who was born without a womb will get to deliver her own baby – after her best friend offered to be her surrogate.
Georgia Barrington, 28, was diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome aged 15, meaning she was born without a uterus and unable to ever carry a baby.

Her childhood best friend, Daisy Hope, 29, joked as a teenager that she would carry her baby and the offer always stuck.
When Daisy welcomed her own daughter, Emilia, three – who Georgia delivered – she offered again wanting her best pal to “experience” being a mum.
Medics implanted embryos – with Georgia’s extracted eggs fertilised by her partner, Lloyd Williams’, 31, sperm – in Daisy and they were all delighted to find out she was pregnant on the second try in February 2025.
Now 23 weeks along Georgia has been able to share every step of the journey with Daisy and will get to deliver her own baby in October 2025.
Georgia, from Maidstone, Kent, said: “It was always my dream to be a mum. I was born without a uterus. I knew I couldn’t carry my own baby.
“At the time Daisy wasn’t super maternal and said she ‘I’ll carry your baby’ but it was kind of a joke.
“But that promise always stuck.”
Daisy, who is a head of a school weekend programme, said: “Naively as a teen you say ‘I’ll carry for you’.
“I was always meant to do it. At 16 I genuinely did mean it.”
Georgia had always felt a maternal instinct and was devastated when she was diagnosed with MRKH aged 15, and said it “felt like the end of the world at the time.”
Daisy had Emilia, with her partner, Oliver Millson, 30, who has a family business, in April 2022.
Georgia said: “I delivered her daughter.
“She told me ‘you have to experience this’.”
Daisy said: “Emilia was only little and we went for a coffee in Costa.
“I said it still stands and I want you to know I’ll still carry for you.”
Georgia started looking into surrogacy and how to get the ball rolling – and was luckily able to get individual funding via the NHS to cover £5,000 for her egg collection and creation of embryos.
“It felt a bit more affordable,” she said.
Georgia and Lloyd, a welder, have still had to spend £15,000 on the IVF and Georgia had her egg collection in October 2023.
They had to spend the next year going through counselling and health checks before the first egg transfer in October 2024.
Georgia had always wanted the moment of revealing to her partner and family she was pregnant so her and Daisy went to the appointment in secret.
After 14 days Daisy got a positive pregnancy test and revealed all to her family.
But at their seven-week scan they were told the baby wasn’t progressing normally and at nine weeks Daisy had a miscarriage.
Daisy went for her second transfer on January 31, 2025.
Georgia said: “We were on FaceTime on day five and Emelia pulled out a box of pregnancy tests.
“We got carried away and she did one and we saw a faint positive line.”
Georgia and Daisy were able to have an early scan at six weeks, where they first saw the heartbeat.
Daisy’s first trimester hasn’t been smooth sailing and she has had episodes of bleeding – which has been worrying for them all.
I was always meant to do it. At 16 I genuinely did mean it.
Daisy Hope
Georgia said: “Being a midwife I know too much – I see more of the unfortunate cases than the normal person.
“I’ve been extremely anxious.”
But now at 23 weeks along the pals are feeling excited and more relaxed.
Georgia said: “You can tell her tummy is getting bigger. Every little symptom she messages me.”
The baby is due in October and Georgia will get to deliver it.
She said: “She’s delivering in the hospital where I work, it feels surreal.”
Daisy added: “It’s going to be magic, I can’t wait to see Emilia and them be best friends. We’re in this together.
“If you have a loved one or someone you really cherish and you’re able to do this I would definitely encourage it.”

Stuart Cink hails Padraig Harrington as friends set to battle it out for Senior US Open title
IRELAND’S Padraig Harrington will hope to see of good pal Stewart Cink in the final round of the Senior US Open.
The Dubliner shot a round of 68 – the same as Australia’s Mark Hensby and American Cink as the trio sit tied heading into Sunday’s final round on eight under par.

It sets up a wide-open weekend for Harrington, the 2022 champion, after a round that included five birdies, a bogey at the 15th, and a costly double bogey on the 12th.
Four of Harrington’s five birdies came on the front nine, with his final one arriving in style on the 18th thanks to a chip-in – a finish that left the 53-year-old satisfied.
Speaking after the third round, the Ratfarnham ace said: “It’s always great to chip in.
“It was great to chip in on the last hole. It was straightforward on the green, but I was chipping against the grain.
“There was quite a bit of grain on that slope. So getting good contact was never going to be easy.
“Yeah, I was very happy with the chip, and it was a big bonus that it went in.”
But despite being in direct competition, there’s no animosity between the experienced duo.
2009 Open Champion Cink highlighted the strong relationship between their families during a press conference on Friday Broadmoor Golf Club.
And their mutual respect is longstanding. Back in 2019, Harrington described Cink as his ideal playing partner and someone he’d “choose to play with.”
Before Cink admitted that he’s probably been paired with the Dubliner more than anybody else during his career.
Cink. said: “I’ve always respected his game, and we’re very good friends with their family.
“It’s a comfortable pairing. I love watching him play. I would hope that he probably feels similarly about me.
“We have mutual respect for each other. He’s a world class player and he’s been doing it a long time. I would love it if we could go the distance here.”
But the pair’s friendship will be on hold this evening with the US Open title on the line.
The closest players to the leading trio are Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn, who is just one back after shooting a 66, and Steve Flesch.
Harrington, Cink and Hensby get underway at 3:50pm Irish local time.
Non-league boss slapped with SIX-GAME touchline ban after saying women officials ‘need help parking’
DORKING WANDERERS chairman and manager Marc White has been hit with a six-game touchline ban after comments he made about female officials in football.
White, 51, has been no stranger to controversy in the years he has been in charge of Dorking – a club he founded himself back in 1999.

A statement released on X by Dorking confirmed that White will be absent from the touchline for six games starting at the beginning of the upcoming campaign.
The National League South outfit wrote: “Following (intended fun) comments made on a podcast regarding women drivers, First Team Manager Marc White has received a six-game touchline suspension to be served from the beginning of the league season.”
It has not been confirmed exactly what comments have led to White’s ban, but a video has since emerged on social media of him discussing female officials and drivers.
In a clip of him talking about a “12-stadium ban” during the most recent campaign, White said: “This year, I’ve gone easy, mate.
“Obviously, more women refs now, so you have to pay a bit more respect. Do you know what I mean?
“You have to pay a bit more respect, like help them park. Do you know what I mean?”
White led Dorking to a sixth place finish in the National League South last season, ultimately losing to Boreham Wood in the play-off quarter-finals.
The businessman, former player and manager founded Dorking with a group of friends in 1999, going on to play for the club and manage over 1,000 games.

Dorking achieved 12 promotions in their first 23 seasons, reaching the National League in 2022 before being relegated two years later.
White has come under criticism during the club’s rise for his foul-mouthed interviews and touchline behaviour.
He has received a number of touchline bans and was charged by the FA for acting “in an improper and/or threatening manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards match officials” in 2023.
Speaking on the Undr the Cosh podcast in the past, White lashed out at the severity of punishments handed out by the FA.
As per The Athletic, he said: “The FA are transitioning from traffic wardens to a Gestapo or something. Everything’s about suspensions, bans and fines.”
White has also been outspoken against the need for FA coaching badges for managers, claiming that they are unneccasary.
White, who holds no FA coaching badges, said: “I ain’t got f*** all.
“I got told, and I think this is true, I got told that to be in the EFL you have to have a badge to be a manager.
“People keep saying, ‘Marc, do you know if you get promoted you’ll have to get a badge’
“I will start a nationwide campaign to tell the EFL to get to f*** if I’m getting a badge”.

Lando Norris pips McLaren team-mate to Austrian Grand Prix victory
LANDO NORRIS won the Austrian Grand Prix by the skin of his teeth as his teammate Oscar Piastri hunted him down from start to finish.
There was no rest for the two McLaren drivers in their brewing title fight as both had their claws out again following their crash in Canada.

Piastri is the silent assassin, going about his business quietly, but absolutely lethal on track, particularly when it comes to inflicting the fatal blow on his teammate.
The Aussie was driving so fiercely it was like he wanted to get his own back for Norris crashing into the back of him in Canada last time out and on the final lap was just over ONE SECOND behind him.
He was snapping at his heels from start to finish, easily dispatching Charles Leclerc at the start to cruise into second, but Norris kept his cool to win the race and keep his title hopes alive.
Leclerc finished third and Lewis Hamilton took fourth while Max Verstappen was out on the first lap after Kimi Anontelli smashed into the side of him after locking up his brakes.
He slammed the “f***ing idiots” on the team radio with it being his first retirement in 462 days.
Red Bull’s disastrous weekend at their own stadium is symbolic of their decline in general as Yuki Tsunoda finished in last place.
Drama began before the race had started in the sizzling hot Styrian mountains as Carlos Sainz’s car caught FIRE on the formation lap.
Things went from bad to worse after a terrifying qualifying where he finished in 19th, he was then stuck to the starting line at the formation lap.
He said on the team radio at the time: “Something is stopping the car from moving forward” and the start was aborted by 10 minutes before he finally got going.
His rear brakes both then caught fire at the end of the pit lane with mechanics armed with extinguishers rushing to put the blaze out.
As the fire continued to burn, Sainz was told on the radio: “Game over” before stepping out of his Williams with them left with one car in the race.
When things got going Kimi Antonelli was the culprit of his first rookie mistake as he smashed into the side of Verstappen.

The fuming four-time world champ slammed the “f***ing idiots” on his team radio.
It was Verstappen’s first retirement in 462 days and a huge moment for the championship.
Piastri had squeezed past Leclerc at the start and it didn’t take long for the Aussie to be snapping at the heels of Norris.
On lap 11 Piastri had even taken the lead but Norris nosed back ahead with DRS.
Piastri nearly bulldozed into the back of his teammate on lap 20 after going very deep at turn 4 before Norris pitted.
The day couldn’t have gone much worse for Red Bull as Yuki Tsunoda was slapped with a 10-second time penalty for making contact with Franco Colapinto on lap 31.
The McLarens were storming ahead and Leclerc in third was a whopping 20 seconds off the lead.
Hamilton was involved in a tense stage with his race engineer over whether to pit with 20 laps to go.
The seven-time world champ wanted to extend while Ferrari wanted him to come in and he reluctantly followed orders.
Norris was told a cryptic message on the radio of “this is the Germany situation” with him still leading before both McLarens pitted.
Franco Colapinto nearly took Piastri out though, veering into the Aussie’s path and forcing him off track and onto the grass.
The Argentine Alpine driver was eventually hit with a five-second penalty for the wild move.
Piastri was not giving up without a fight and with one lap to go he was just over a second behind Norris, who managed to survive.
England U21s star looks worse for wear after wild celebrations onboard 3:30am flight for winning European Championships
ENGLAND Under-21s star Jack Hinshelwood looked worse for wear after wild celebrations following the Euros triumph.
The Three Lions beat Germany 3-2 in the final with Jonathan Rowe notching an extra-time winner.

The players enjoyed their success with boozy celebrations in Slovakia, leaving some a little under the weather.
Hinshelwood was filmed by Harvey Elliott struggling to get up from a bench as he lay down with a bottle of water.
The Brighton star looked the part in an England cowboy hat, and he was well enough to document the flight back.
He posed for a selfie alongside goalkeeper James Beadle – hours after the Sheffield Wednesday star took a snap with Hinshelwood, beer bottle in hand.
Hinshelwood also took a snap with finalist goalscorer Elliott, who called him a “legend”.
Elliott posed for several photos including one in a hotel, trophy in hand and cycling-style sunglasses covering his face.
The sunnies featured in another pic Elliott took with his Liverpool team-mate Tyler Morton.
Morton also indulged in some plane beers as Bournemouth’s Alex Scott nicknamed him ‘Tyler De Bruyne’.

Peter Andre issues stark warning to daughter Princess as she turns 18 and follows in mum Katie Price’s footsteps
PETER Andre celebrated his daughter Princess turning 18 with photos from her life – but shared a stark warning on her birthday.
The proud dad reflected on the milestone but told her to “be careful in this crazy world” as she takes her first steps into the spotlight.

Peter said: “Not enough words. So much love. My little girl is no longer a little girl.
“Keep being you. Kind, funny, sensitive, considerate and a bit bonkers….. oh, and a diva. But a diva full of heart.
“I know I tell you everyday but I’ll say it again. I love you so much.
“Happy 18th beautiful and please stay happy. But be careful in this crazy world. Im always here. Always. Dad.”
Princess replied to the sweet post: “Thank you dad.”
It comes as her mum Katie Price was forced to delete her birthday tribute to Princess – as she posted it 48 hours early.
The mum-of-five took to social media to wish her eldest daughter a happy birthday on Friday.
The 47-year-old who is currently in Dubai posted a sweet photo of her daughter on social media.
She captioned the image: “Happy 18th Birthday to the most amazing daughter.
“And my best friend @princess_andre. I love you so much.”
But Princess Andre was born on the 29th of June and Katie posted it on the 27th.
Realising her mistake, Katie then deleted her post and put up another image of her stunning daughter.
This time she captioned it with two love hearts and said: ” 2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx.”
Princess has already achieved much as she turns 18.
She has passed her driving test and shared pictures of her white Audi A1 she had bought.
Not only does the young teen have a swanky ride, but she even got a personalised number plate to boot.
Princess is already signed to the same agency as older brother, Junior.
But she hopes the fly-on-the-wall series will help launch her catwalk career.
A TV insider told The Sun: “Princess is very conscious of the fact her mum got famous very early in her career, so Katie is a big inspiration to her.
“Bagging her own TV show is a huge deal, but producers are keen to stress it is about her and not her famous parents
Katie and Peter started their relationship in 2004 after getting together on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!.
They had Junior and Princess during their four-year marriage.
But their relationship fell apart in 2009 and they divorced.
