And it was case of music greats past and present in attendance as play on the outside courts was delayed by the bad weather.
That is because Olivia Rodrigo was also invited to the tennis as a guest of the club, just three days after headlining the final night of Glastonbury.
And there was plenty of stars from the sporting world, too.
Current England manager Thomas Tuchel headed to SW19 for the first time since taking on the job from Gareth Southgate – who was at Wimbledon on Monday.
But another predecessor, Roy Hodgson, also headed to South-West London on Wednesday alongside wife Sheila.
Diver Tom Daley – used to the water – proved he is just as capable at turning out a fashionable number as he is at twisting and turning into the pool.
Golfer Tommy Fleetwood opted for a shimmering grey suit and tie paired with grey loafers.
And actor Dominic Cooper defied his 47 years by dazzling in a brilliant sky-blue suit.

XViktor Gyokeres has reportedly dumped his model girlfriend Ines Aguiar[/caption]
Sporting CPThe Arsenal target wants to ‘sever all ties’ to Portugal and his club Sporting Lisbon[/caption]
Gyokeres has been left incensed by their demands after insisting he had a gentleman’s agreement for a lower price.
And the Sweden international is now refusing to return for Sporting’s pre-season in a bid to force through an exit.
However, Gyokeres has taken his desire to leave to new heights after reportedly axing Portuguese girlfriend Ines Aguiar.
The actress and model started dating Gyokeres at the start of 2024 before the couple went public several months later.
Earlier this season Ines was caught on camera “promising” she would convince her man to remain in Lisbon.
But Corrieo Da Manha claims they have now gone their separate ways after Gyokeres called time on the relationship.

Speculation started when Ines did not accompany him to the wedding of Sporting teammate Morten Hjulmand, who was marrying her friend Emilie Sofie Nissen.
Gyokeres then jetted off on holiday by himself to Mykonos, while Ines headed alone to Formentera.

Now, it’s claimed that Gyokeres was the one to break things off in an attempt to “sever all his ties” to Portugal and thus allowing him the freedom to join Arsenal.
A source said: “Viktor doesn’t want anything that ties him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he will not continue at Sporting next season.
“Before going on holiday, he spoke to Ines and explained what he felt.
“She was also prepared in a certain way, although it was something that was difficult for her because she liked him a lot.”

In the serene setting of Koh Lanta, Krabi province, a community was suddenly shaken by a tragic event that seemingly could have been plucked from a mystery novel. The peaceful coexistence of neighbors was shattered by a violent dispute, all sparked by a hill myna bird. What should have been a simple misunderstanding spiraled into a heart-wrenching tale of loss and heartbreak. On a typically sunny day, just past 11 in the morning on July 1, Police Lieutenant Pimon Phromcharoen of the Koh Lanta station was alerted to a crime that brought an eerie silence to the lush environs of Koh Lanta Noi subdistrict. The scene was as grim as it was unfathomable, with the lifeless body of 37-year-old Aphiwat, a beloved taxi driver, lying at the doorstep of his own home. His life was cut short in a tragic act of violence, a bullet piercing both his arm and…

Ah, July in Pattaya! That magical time when the skies open up just a little longer and the hopes of tourism officials hinge precariously on the Half-Half travel scheme. This time around, the city’s cheerleaders are banking on the domestic tourists to flood in and paint the town red, as international flights cool off like a half-finished mojito on a sunny day. Yet, with more room in the hotels than a travel agent’s calendar in a leap year, not everyone’s buying the “holiday rush” story. One rather exasperated long-time visitor scoffed at the notion, dubbing it the “Joke of the Year.” “It’s emptier than my grandmother’s spice cabinet,” they mused, pointing out that there’s hardly any bustle to speak of, even during the high season. It’s a sentiment echoed across social platforms like an unwanted echo in a desolate canyon. Interestingly, the local chatter reveals a gripping tale of who’s…

CULT hero Lys Mousset has left Bohemians by mutual consent.
The former £10 million Premier League striker joined the Gypsies on an incentive-based contract at the start of the season after two years out of the game.
But while he became a fan favourite, he struggled for game-time making nine appearances – six off the bench – and scoring one goal in his final appearance against Sligo in May.
Lys Mousset scored his only goal for Bohemians in what his final appearance, against Sligo Rovers in May
The club issued a brief statement reading: “We thank Lys for his efforts at the club over the past six months and wish him all the very best for the future.”
His arrival on trial in February excited Bohs fans as Mousset, nicknamed The Moose, had an impressive CV with Bournemouth and Sheffield United, who signed him for €10 million in 2019.
But the 29-year-old was beset with injury problems and was out of the game since September 2022 when he left German club Bochum, before his arrival at Bohs.
He started the first three games of the season but was on the bench ever since, as Alan Reynolds prioritised signing a new striker in the July transfer window.
And with the arrival this week of Douglas James-Taylor from Drogheda, Mousset’s opportunities in the second half of the season were likely to be limited.

PHIL FODEN is helping best pal and childhood fishing rival Niall Brown punch above his weight in the boxing ring.
The Manchester City and England superstar grew up with the 27-year-old super-middleweight in Stockport.

And, although a couple of school years apart, they bonded over a love of angling and camping around the local reservoir and Peak District.
The 25-year-old left-foot wizard was snapped up by City at just four years old, privately educated by the Abu Dhabi billionaires and currently earns around £225,000.
But the working-class lad still prefers maggots to millions, carp over cash and roach over riches.
And he has now cast his rod into boxing by sponsoring his mate’s training camps and helping him rise from small-hall shows in Eccles, Oldham and Bolton, to a Manchester Arena break-out on July 5.
“We’ve been friends forever,” Brown told SunSport with genuine affection.
“So he has always seen the sort of dedication I have and, for the last couple of years, he’s just been helping me and looking after me, sponsoring me and stuff.
“I massively appreciate it. It’s mint that he’s in a position to be able to do that for me because he’s just a normal lad.
“We played footy, liked going fishing, everything we liked to do back then, we still do now, but it has to be a bit more ‘behind-closed-doors’”.

It’s clear – and thoroughly decent – to feel that Brown is cautious of speaking about his high-profile pal to a reporter he has never met.
But he’s ruthless when asked which of the super-talented Stopfordians is the biggest hit with a fish hook, instead of a right hook.
“If I have to be honest,” he grinned. “It’s him. But If I gave it a bit more time, it would be me! But Phil is just fishing crazy, fishing crazy.
“And he gives it everything, like you said, he’s not out, falling out of nightclubs.
“If he’s doing something, it’s probably fishing, which is not detrimental to his sport.
“And, like you said, he’s a good lad, he’s just a normal lad who happens to have millions of cameras on him.”
Foden has been headline news since 2017, when stole the show at the under-17 World Cup, scoring twice in the final against red-hot favourites Spain and running away with the player-of-the-tournament prize.
His skyrocketing to mainstream attention and Pep Guardiola’s first team appeared to be down to his wand of a left, his versatility in attack and his quiet dedication to his craft.
But former Thai-boxer Brown jokes it might have been more to do with a few kicks, elbows and knees he threw around just before his big break.
Foden is a Champions League winner with CityRichard Pelham / The Suninstagram @brown_niallThe two bond over dinner and fishing[/caption]
When asked if their sporting worlds and disciplines have ever crossed, Brown revealed: “I could have taken credit a few years ago actually.
“When he was in the England under-17s that won the World Cup. Because he actually did come down to my old gym and did a bit of training just before they went.
“Since then though he’s been down to my Collyhurst and Moston boxing gym, but just to see the kids in the gym and sign some stuff for them.”
In a sport built on hype and bragging – and increasingly contaminated by fake friendships and feuds – Brown could boost his own profile and pulling-power on Foden’s name.
Instead he admits that such commitment to two demanding sports keeps the boys apart much more than they would like.
And he still manages a second to express how proud he is of his little pal.
“As we’ve got older and can drive now, we sometimes go night fishing or out for food.
“But it’s rare that we see each other these days, because usually one of us has training or I am on a diet to make weight.
“We both understand it, because we are just both doing our best. And it’s great to see how well he is doing for himself.”
Niall Brown is also proudly sponsored by A2Z Skip Hire, PL infrastructure, Blume, Morson group, IGD Sports, Income after sports and Fight Division.

IT can be hard as a curvier woman to find outfits that are both flattering and comfortable.
But one lady, who’s a size 22, says she’s found the perfect one – from her local Tesco.
Louise found her “favourite dress of all time” in her local TescoTikTok/@loulouplusfashionIt’s got a bow waist which is super flattering, and even has pocketsTikTok/@loulouplusfashionShe praised the “lovely” sizing of the dress, which also comes in blackTikTok/@loulouplusfashion
Louise took to TikTok to share a video of herself in the £22.50 bright pink dress, which features a V-neck and tie at the waist.
“I’m not even exaggerating when I say this is the most flattering dress that I’ve ever tried on,” she said in the clip.
“As soon as I put it on I could feel that my waist went completely in.
“The colour is beautiful. This is cerise pink and obviously you’ve got a bow with it too.”
Another bonus of the dress is that it has pockets, and is perfectly cool to wear when it’s hot outside.
“It is so, so pretty,” she continued.
“I can’t even emphasise how pretty this is.
“Favourite dress of all time. Of all time!”
She praised the “lovely” sizing of the dress, and said it would be perfect to wear as a wedding guest.
“You look stunning & that colour on you is wow,” one person commented on the video.
“Just ordered it – hope it looks as good on me as it does on you!”
“Oh my that colour… stunning!!” another added.
“I think that pink is your colour, you look beautiful,” a third wrote.
“You’re like a Barbie, and I love it,” someone else commented.
“Oops naughty I’ve ordered it!” another giggled.
“Ps I usually wear black so you have convinced me lol!”
How to dress in a heatwave
SUMMER is finally here with temperatures soaring this weekend, but it has been so long since we dressed for the warmer weather - what should we wear? The Sun’s fashion team is here to help with a cut-out-and-keep guide to heatwave attire.
Clemmie Fieldsend and Abby McHale reveal the ultimate dos and don’ts so that you never suffer from unsightly tan lines, sweaty patches or wardrobe malfunctions again.
Cover up While you might be tempted to put on your skimpiest outfit when the mercury rises above 25C, it has actually been proven that staying covered up can keep you cooler. We’re not saying wear your winter coat and wrap up. You should wear a light breathable fabric such as cotton – look for flowy midi skirts, dresses or wide leg trousers which will billow and create a nice cool breeze for you as you walk.
Prepare for extremes With our unpredictable weather, it’s not uncommon to see either someone in hotpants with goose-pimpled legs after an unexpected downpour, or at the other end of the spectrum, someone still wearing their winter tights in 30C heat. When you’re on the fence, opt for a loose co-ord that will keep you cool but not expose you to the elements if it rains.
Wear shorts Yes, you can wear shorts – and at any age. The key is getting the length just right and longer shorts are all the rage this year. Short shorts are of course allowed but they won’t make you any cooler. If anything, micro-shorts can make you feel hotter. Plus, they are wedgie inducing, often too tight and often show off rather too much bum cheek.
Wear white White is not the easiest to keep clean but it is the best shade for a heatwave, and looks effortlessly chic. It doesn’t absorb light like black but instead, reflects it. It’s also a shade that never goes out of style. If you do get the odd suncream smear on your whites, quickly dab with hand soap and water, rub in with a brush and then wash as normal.
Don’t show bra straps Whilst everyone wants to wear strappy clothing in the summer, there really is nothing classy about your bra straps being on show – especially when they’re the opposite colour to your top. Instead, if you are plumping for a strappy top, stick a strapless bra underneath.
Don’t attempt a boob tube The boob tube has got to be one of the most faffy and unflattering pieces of clothing you can own. Yes, you will avoid shoulder strap tan lines, but you will spend the whole day pulling your top up and trying to keep your boobs in place. Come evening, you will have grubby fingerprints all over and will have no doubt experienced the odd nip slip.
Don’t choose espadrilles Espadrille wedges were once Kate Middleton’s go-to summer shoe but they have well and truly fallen off the fashion wagon. While noughties ballet flats are back, the espadrille is yet to have its revival. It’s one of those fashion items that Gen Z won’t be seen dead in, and have even dubbed ‘the granny sandal’. For now, opt for a ballet flat or a sandal.
Don’t wear crochet The crochet trend is nice enough and while it looks great on the likes of Love Island presenter Maya Jama, it’s simply not practical. If the sun is out, chances are, you’ll end up with tragic tan lines like a mosaic. Plus, it’s essentially knitwear – hot and itchy. For men, knitted polos have also crept into the fashion fold, masquerading as summer wear but they are made from synthetic materials and induce swear. Wear at your own risk.
“You really suit that and your hair is stunning,” someone else added.
“Stunning as always.. I’m off to a wedding in August and my 40th, think this is a must, thanks lovely,” another commented.
The dress comes in sizes from six to 22, and also comes in black.
“Made from pure cotton for a breezy feel, this puff sleeved dress is a holiday staple you need in your collection,” Tesco said of the dress on their website.
“Designed with a soft V neckline and flattering tied waist, it’s a relaxed fit piece that you can wear by day or night.
“Style up with statement jewellery and a straw clutch bag.”
