I know I’m hot but I wasn’t prepared for the legion of thirsty women after I posted a torso shot on Facebook Marketplace

A MAN trying to flog a kids’ white desk on Facebook Marketplace was stunned when he became the thing people wanted to buy.

Daz Gracie had a legion of thirsty women swooning over him when he posted the image of the desk on the site, along with his ripped six-pack.

The image soon caught people’s attention, but not for the reason Daz expected[/caption]

The single man posted photos of the pink and white children’s desk on a Facebook Freecycle page in a bid to free up space and inadvertently captured his toned tum in one of the mirrors.

The 37-year-old says he didn’t plan for his abs to make a guest appearance in the mirrored lid but when he realised, posted it anyway.

The loft insulation installer said ‘within 20 seconds’ the desk had been claimed and his phone ‘went wild’ with messages from women desperate to claim him and leave the desk.

The viral post, which racked up almost 4,000 likes, shares and comments, left Daz ‘laughing his head off’ and claiming that Facebook ads might be the future of dating.

Daz, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, said: “My mum’s recently moved and whoever lived in the house before had left that desk.

“I’d gone to hers on Sunday morning and put an Ikea desk together for her and she asked ‘will you bang it [the kid’s desk] on Facebook?’.

“I took some pictures, then I noticed my torso was in it. Don’t get me wrong I love a topless selfie but I could get a lot better one than that.

“All the lads were like ‘Daz I know what you’re like’ but honestly if I was meant to be in it I would have put my face in it as well.

“I took it and was like ‘I’m posting it anyway’ and then all of a sudden my phone was just going wild. I was laughing my head off at some of the comments.

“Someone said ‘I’m not interested in the desk but I’d definitely take the man’, I was like ‘oh my God, here we go’.

“I had people messaging me from Canada and America too, it went worldwide and it’s still going.

“The desk went in about 20 seconds, a woman from over the road took it.”

Single Daz admits that despite being a ‘good-looking chap’ the situation has been ‘good for the ego’.

Daz said: “I’m not on the dating apps. I think I’m a good-looking chap anyway, I get plenty of messages.

“I’ve only been single about seven months and I was with my partner for a while.

“Having a lot of thirsty women after me on Facebook is definitely good for the ego.

“I’m not tempted to take any of them up on the offer just yet, I’m going on holiday so I’ll see what happens after.

“My advice to any single blokes struggling to get messages on dating apps – get a picture on ‘items for sale’ and see what happens. Your luck could change.”

Daz’s Facebook post reads: “Child’s desk free to collect near Barnsley town centre. Thank you.”

One woman wrote: “Can I be considered, please, but not for the desk? X”

Another commented: “Is the man still available with delivery. Erm I mean the item.”

One wrote: “Mmmm very nice, whoever gets it is a very lucky girl.”

Another commented: “Free cycle the future of dating.”

EastEnders fans stunned after spotting huge show star in another popular drama

EASTENDERS fans have been left stunned after spotting a huge show star in another popular drama.

ITV viewers couldn’t believe their eyes after noticing that Harriet Thorpe, 68, who plays Elaine Peacock in the BBC soap, popped up in none other than Midsomer Murders.

The unexpected cameo from a 2021 repeat didn’t go unnoticed.

On Reddit, one user wrote: “Ar [sic] Elaine in Midsomer Murders,” sharing a photo of the star wearing a floral kaftan and colourful necklace.

Another quipped: “It seems she has a consistent costume department.”

Harriet is well-known to EastEnders viewers as Elaine Peacock – Queen Victoria’s feisty landlady.

She took on the role in 2023 , but her credits stretch much further back, including appearances in Wicked, Absolutely Fabulous, The Brittas Empire, and of course, Midsomer Murders.

In fact, Thorpe appeared in the hit series twice – once in 2006’s Dance with the Dead and later in 2021’s The Stitcher Society – well before she arrived at the Queen Vic.

Last year, The Sun revealed some exclusive photos of Elaine marrying her on-screen husband, George Knight, played by Colin Salmon.

Soap bosses filmed the dramatic wedding episodes of the long-awaited nuptials.

A huge swathe of the BBC soap’s cast turned out to a church in Bushey near the studios to film the big soap wedding of the year.

Elaine actress Harriet Thorpe looked stunning in the landlady’s shimmering gold wedding gown.

Elaine’s intended, George Knight actor Colin Salmon wore a sand coloured suit matching with his best man Johnny Carter.

Anna and Gina Knight stars Francesca Henry and Molly Rainford were also filming in dark green bridesmaid gowns.

While their on-screen mum, Cindy Beale star Michelle Collins also attended in full funeral black alongside Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt.

A source said at the time: “The BBC have clearly pushed the boat out for the wedding.

“These days its unheard of for even the big soap weddings to have large amounts of the cast filming on location but bosses have made it work.”

Reagan To is the 13-year-old star whose voice has become synonymous with the English dub of the programme – with her singsong “Red light, green light” providing the backdrop for the shocking first game in series one.

She took to Facebook recently to share a Reel which showed her voicing the character in series one in 2021, season two in 2024 and season three this year.

“Thank you Squid Game for having me since 2021. Season 1, 2, and 3 – the voice of the Squid Game doll,” Reagan wrote alongside the video.

This time around, the most famous song from the series is arguably Hide and Seek – where she sings “Hide hide, it’s time to play, don’t let your hair give you away”.

In a post on her Instagram page, Reagan revealed it took her a whole two hours to get the song perfect.

“Fun fact: recorded for two hours for the hide and seek song,” she wrote over the top of the Instagram video.

“Another Squid Game haunted song gets stuck in my head, sorry,” Reagan added in the caption.

She was quickly praised in the comments section, with one writing: “It’s too impressive that you’ve been doing it for 5 years and it’s just getting better and better!”

“Loved the new season and the songssss,” another praised.

“So amazing my friend!” a third added.

“This is so cool – I love your voice!” someone else said.

Reagan also voiced character Ga-Yeong in the English dub of Squid Game.

Others admitted that they’d finally figured out where they’d seen Reagan before.

She’s also famous for her role in the TV show Young Sheldon, in which she starred as Mei-Tung – Sheldon’s class competitor who he enlists to tutor him.

“Pain is the best teacher,” she’s famous for telling Sheldon, while rapping him on the knuckles with a pencil when he gets the answer wrong.

“Are you that girl from Young Sheldon?” one person asked in the comments on the Instagram.

“Yes!” Reagan replied.

The third season of Squid Game has broken records for Netflix, after becoming the biggest-ever TV launch for the streaming service – racking up more than 60.1 million views in its first three days of release.

As well as Squid Game and Young Sheldon, Reagan appeared in Jane the Virgin and voiced Big Girl Ember in Disney film Elemental.

Picture this: 10 million methamphetamine pills tucked away like illicit Easter eggs inside seemingly innocent speaker boxes, and an additional 600,000 pills lounging in parcels at an express delivery service, as casual as can be. The backdrop for these events? The charming provinces of Phrae and Chiang Rai, places one might normally associate with serene landscapes rather than nerve-wracking drug battles. On July 1st, Police Region 5 showcased their victory, and one could almost hear the applause echoing through the forests. In the heart-thumping scene in Phrae, officers were casually sipping their Thai iced coffee at a checkpoint in tambon Huai Rai, Den…
