PEP GUARDIOLA has confirmed Jack Grealish’s Man City exit plan.
And he revealed what the £100million man must do to rebuild his career.
ReutersPep Guardiola sent a clear message about Jack Grealish’s future[/caption]
Grealish, 29, joined City from Aston Villa for the club-record fee in 2021.
He has won three Premier League titles at the Etihad and played a key part in the 2022-23 Treble-winning season.
Guardiola was quizzed on his stance and the latest on Grealish when he spoke to the media ahead of their Wednesday Group G opener against Wydad.
And he confirmed it was decided for the best that the playmaker did not travel to the United States.
Asked if Grealish’s future is away from the Etihad, the Spanish manager said: “I don’t know. Now we decided ‘don’t come here’ and what happens in the end I don’t know.

“If we don’t find [a transfer], he’s a player for Man City and he will be back.
“He had a conversation between him and the club and they decided it was best [to miss Club World Cup].
“Jack is an exceptional player. The only reason why he didn’t play last season is of course my decisions.
“We decide that he has to play. The club was honest, he was honest.
“Incredible love and respect and we decided the best is to stay [behind] and have a place that he can feel like he can come back to be the player like he was in the year of the Treble or all his career in Aston Villa.
“Without him, it would have been more difficult in the year of the Treble.”
And Guardiola has given Grealish the blueprint to reigniting his football fire.
The boss advised: “The fact is in the last two seasons, he didn’t play many minutes.
“He has to come back to play and have the butterflies in his stomach that he can play every three days, every three days and show again the quality he has.”

MUIREANN O’Connell has praised a brave Ireland AM guest after she detailed her horrific assault during a tear-jerking interview.
VMTVMuireann and Tommy spoke to Hazel Behan on air on Tuesday’s show[/caption]
VMTVHazel detailed the horrific sexual assault she experienced 21 years ago[/caption]
VMTVMuireann and Tommy were emotional during the interview[/caption]
The Dubliner, then aged just 20, was tied up, whipped and raped repeatedly for up to five hours by a knife-wielding intruder who broke into her apartment while she was working as a holiday rep in Portugal’s Algarve in June 2004.
Brueckner’s expected release from his current conviction comes a month before Hazel will discover the outcome of her High Court appeal in Germany against his acquittal last October for raping her, another woman and girl in Portugal in 2004.
Hazel explained, on air, how she had walked home by herself after arguing with her then-boyfriend and fell asleep in her bed.
She was then woken up to a masked man dressed in all black, who was carrying a knife, standing over her.
The 41-year-old said: “I just instantly froze. I couldn’t quite get myself together.”
Muireann replied: “How could you? I’m really sorry. You were doing a job that so many of us have done. I’ve only walked home from nights when you work in Greece or Portugal or Spain.”
Hazel went on to say: “And I didn’t walk down the main street or miles by myself. Not that it would make any odds, but I literally walked across the road.
“He told me not to scream. I think there’s this innate thing in us that you’ll fight back if you feel that you have a chance to win. But I knew instantly that I didn’t. I knew I just wouldn’t have had a chance against this person.
“So I complied really and he was very methodical. He knew exactly what he was there for. He knew exactly what way he wanted me to be positioned to be in certain shots, because he set up a video camera and recorded everything that happened.”
Hazel said the “only time” she refused to do something he asked was when he wanted her to go into the bathroom.
She explained: “I just had this idea that if he brought me into the bathroom, that that was it.
“So he positioned me in a kneeled position over a small little bench sofa thing in the room and placed my head. I was head down on the bench.
“I know how dramatic it sounds but when you think of somebody standing over you all in black with a mask and a knife and positions it in a certain way – I just honestly thought he was going to just take my head off. I really did. But he didn’t, obviously. And he got a sheet from my bed and covered me with the sheet.
“Essentially, he packed up everything, stepped out backwards into his shoes. And I didn’t know he had gone because the reflection of the light from inside the room on the window of the dark, I couldn’t see outside. But he had, thankfully, and I managed to get out of the room.”
POLICE FAILINGS
Muireann replied: “I mean, incredible. You went down to a reception in the hotel. The police were called. They take you up to the room. There was no English interpreters. Your experience with the Portuguese police sounded horrific, to say the least.”
Hazel has taken a case to the European Court of Human Rights over what her lawyer called the “systematic and inexcusable failings by the Portuguese authorities that has denied her, and others, justice”.
In her case, she alleges that Portuguese police failed to seize the blood-stained bed sheets and broken false nails from the struggle with her attacker, which plainly contained important forensic evidence.
When asked what she hopes to “achieve” by doing this, she replied: “I’d love to be able to wave a magic wand and just see people in mandated positions, police, legislators, justice system to just do better by particularly women and children, but for everybody.
PARENTING NIGHTMARE
“And I think sexual assault, any form of gender based violence affects us all. If you’re lucky enough not to be on the receiving end of it, the likelihood is that you will know somebody who is.
“The last thing that you would want is your daughter… you don’t want to be my dad, my mother, who sent me off at 20, safe in the knowledge that I was gone off to make all these memories and have the summer of my 21st birthday.
“And the gasp that came out my dad’s breath is something.. when I told him on the phone, what had happened to me is something that has laid heavy on my world and his.
“So now, as a parent, I can’t change what happened to me – there’s no going back, there’s no rewriting it. But heaven forbid something would happen to my girls. I would like for them to be treated with the very, very basics, just with some dignity.”
‘BRAVE AND STRONG’
A short segment of the emotional interview was posted on Ireland AM’s Instagram page.
Muireann re-shared the video and said: “To hear Hazel talk about her rape… to be eloquent about something so horrific, terrifying and dehumanising is quite simply astonishing.
“Thank you for talking to us Hazel.”
Ireland AM viewers flooded the comment section with support and praise for Hazel.
Hilda wrote: “You are incredible, brave and strong. I’m so sorry this happened to you and that you were treated so badly in the aftermath.”
Martha said: “This brought tears to my eyes… horrific for this to even happen, and to still have no justice is just so wrong. I hope justice comes soon. Well done on sharing your story and for fighting all the way. Best wishes to you.”
Niamh wrote: “Your strength in telling your story has brought tears to my eyes. Wishing you get justice for the horror that was inflicted upon you.”

AIR India crash investigators believe an emergency power system kicked in – raising questions about whether the engines were working properly.
A raft of analysts now agree that a small turbine generator deployed as the Boeing 787 went down, after a “game-changer” video emerged.
A new clearer video shows a protrusion beneath the planeX/@TurbinetravelerCaptain Sumeet Sabharwal was the lead pilotXThe plane’s vertical stabiliser lies detached at the smouldering crash site[/caption]
Days after the catastrophe which killed more than 270 people, a HD video surfaced showing a “protrusion on the belly of the aircraft” with a “little grey dot” beneath it.
Commentators say this was a system called Ram Access Turbine (RAT) poking out from the fuselage of the plane, which failed to climb more than 450ft.
Commercial airline pilot Steve Schreiber, known as Captain Steve, explained: “Many aeroplanes have it. It is just behind the wing on the right side of the aeroplane, there is a little door that holds it in.
“It looks like a little Evinrude motor, it’s a little two bladed prop.
“The purpose is to provide electrical and hydraulic pressure for the aircraft on an extreme emergency.”
Steve explained there are three things which could cause the RAT to deploy on a 787: “A massive electrical failure, a massive hydraulic failure, or a dual engine failure.
“But I think the fact the aeroplane is mushing out the sky gives the idea it was a dual engine failure,” he said.
Other analysts agree that the RAT system deployed, and that the most likely cause was duel-engine failure.
Anthony Brickhouse, a US-based aerospace safety consultant, told the Wall Street Journal that the most common reason the propeller comes out is because the pilot thinks both engines have failed.
However, he reiterated this is highly unusual, telling the paper: “In commercial aviation, a dual engine failure is extremely rare.
“Our engines today are more efficient and reliable than ever.”
While there is growing consensus over the RAT deployment, investigators haven’t confirmed whether engine, hydraulic or other problems triggered the emergency system.
And it may be some time before we get an official diagnosis.
India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation said the accident remains under investigation and that more information would be provided in due course.
Air-accident investigations can take more than a year – and even then will often point to a number of contributing factors.
What is Ram Air Turbine?
A RAM Air Turbine, known as RAT, is a small wind turbine fitted into planes which generates power in the case of emergency.
It will deploy if the main engine stops generating power for any reason.
When activated, the small turbine stick out from below the wing or fuselage, and harnesses the wind power caused by the plane’s speed.
The airflow makes it spin round, in turn generating electricity which can be used.
This happens using a hydraulic pump or electrical generator linked up to the turbine.
A key feature of RAM is that is acts independently from the aircraft’s engine and other generation means, meaning it can in theory be used to create power even when the main systems go down.
Meanwhile, both of the black boxes have now been recovered.
One records flight data, such as altitude and speed, whilst the other monitors the cockpit sound.
The first was recovered from a rooftop near where the plane came down just 28 hours after the crash.
And the second is expected to reveal the pilots’ panic as the plane went down.
We already know that the pilot, Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, made a desperate mayday call to air traffic control in the moments before the disaster.
The plane explodes into a fireball after crashing down into the buildingsX/@TurbinetravelerAPRescuers work amid apocalyptic scenes at the Ahmedabad crash site[/caption]
He cried out: “‘Thrust not achieved […] falling […] Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!”
The two pilots then wrestled for 17 seconds with the controls as the jet sank through the air before careening into the buildings below.
Sabharwal had 22 years of experience and had racked up 8,200 in the air.
The plane gained just a few hundred feet of altitude when the power apparently cut out, killing more Britsthan any air disaster since 9/11.
Despite more than 270 people dying in the catastrophe, the pilot has been credited with saving “dozens of lives”.

HT PhotoVishwash Kumar Ramesh – sitting in 11A – was the sole survivor of the jet crash[/caption]
Sabharwal diverted the jet at the last second to avoid slamming into a three-storey apartment building, according to locals on the ground.
All 18 families in the three-storey building under the flight path are convinced they owe their lives to Captain Sumeet Sabharwal.
He managed to divert the plane towards a patch of grassland.
The locals raced from their homes inAhmedabadwhen a fireball from 90 tons of aviation fuel ignited as the plane slammed into the ground.
The aircraft obliterated the top two floors of a disused four-storey military building.
But the fire tore through the college’s hostel, killing dozens of students and staff who were having lunch in the canteen.

BRITS are set to pack out beaches across the country today with temperatures set to soar to glorious highs of 29C.
Met Office officials expect the balmy weather to continue over the weekend, with heatwave conditions “likely”.

On Tuesday, sun-seekers were seen lapping up the rays on Bournemouth beach, while revellers lounged on the grass at Royal Ascot.
Similar scenes are expected across the country today, with bikini-ready Brits set to soak in highs of 29C in London and 25C in Wales.
Forecasters predict that those living in the East of England will likely see the highest temps.
The mercury in many parts of the UK will range between 25C and 30C later this week, but the capital could see temperatures reach as high as 33C.
Meanwhile, the Met Office has said heatwave conditions are “likely” this weekend.
A heatwave in the UK is met when a location records a period of at least three consecutive days, with temperature values meeting or exceeding the heatwave temperature thresholds.
Across the north and west of the UK this is 25C, and across Greater London and the Home Counties, 28C.
The UK’s June temperature record stands at 35.6C, which was set in Southampton in 1976.
Current forecasts suggest the record is unlikely to be broken this time – but it will come close.
England and Wales will see temps in the low 30s and those in Scotland and Northern Ireland will see mid or high 20s.
5-day forecast
Today:
After a grey start in places, England and Wales will have a dry day with very warm sunshine. Cloudier across Scotland and Northern Ireland with showers at first and patchy rain arriving in the west by late afternoon.
Thursday:
Rain in the north will steadily clear northwards. Elsewhere dry with sunny spells, but the odd isolated shower in the far southwest later. A little breezier, but still very warm.
Friday to Sunday:
High pressure will give most areas plenty of dry and settled weather with very warm or hot sunshine. However, some showers are possible in the west, which could turn thundery.

It will get hotter as the week goes on, with the scorching temperatures peaking on Sunday.
A yellow heathealthalert has been issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) for seven regions of the country.
The following areas will be under the alert between midday on Thursday and 6pm on Sunday: Yorkshire and The Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands, East England, the South East, the South West and London.
A yellow alert is the lowest, behind amber and red, on the UKHSA’s system, but warns of a possible rise in deaths among those aged 65 and over or with health conditions.
The UKHSA added an increase in demand for health services by vulnerable people is also likely.
Dr Agostinho Sousa, head of extreme events and health protection at UKHSA, said: “Our findings shows that even moderate heat can result in serious health outcomes, especially for older adults, and it is therefore important that everyone takes sensible precautions while enjoying the sun.”
He added that for people with vulnerable family, friends, and neighbours, it’s important to check in on them and ensure they’re aware of the forecasts – and are following he necessary advice.
Almost all the affected areas have been given a risk score of 10 out of a possible 16, which indicates “significant impacts are possible” due to the high temperatures.
The main risks posed by a very hot weather are dehydration (not drinking enough water) and overheating, which can make symptoms worse for people who already have problems with their heart of breathing.
The London Fire Brigade has also warned that the scorching weather will increase the risk of wildfires.
A little rain has been forecast throughout the period, and there may be some isolated thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday.
High temperatures are expected to fizzle out into next week, but Southern parts of the UK may remain very warm.

How to stay safe in hot weather
WHILE many people enjoy warmer summer weather, hot weather can cause some people to become unwell through overheating (becoming uncomfortably hot), dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
Remember the following tips if you want to stay safe:
keep out of the sun at the hottest time of the day, between 11am and 3pm
if you are going to do a physical activity (for example exercise or walking the dog), plan to do these during times of the day when it is cooler such as the morning or evening
keep your home cool by closing windows and curtains in rooms that face the sun
if you do go outside, cover up with suitable clothing such as an appropriate hat and sunglasses, seek shade and apply sunscreen
drink plenty of fluids and limit your alcohol intake
check on family, friends and neighbours who may be at higher risk of becoming unwell, and if you are at higher risk, ask them to do the same for you
know the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke and what to do if you or someone else has them
Heat exhaustion occurs when the body overheats and cannot cool down. Heat exhaustion does not usually need emergency medical attention if you cool down within 30 minutes. If you do not take action to cool down, heat exhaustion can lead to heatstroke.
Common symptoms of heat exhaustion include:
tiredness
weakness
feeling faint
headache
muscle cramps
feeling or being sick
heavy sweating
intense third
Heatstroke is where the body is no longer able to cool down and the body temperature becomes dangerously high.
Common symptoms of heatstroke include:
confusion
lack of co-ordination
fast heartbeat
fast breathing or shortness of breath
hot skin that is not sweating
seizures
Heatstroke is a medical emergency. If you think someone has heatstroke you should dial 999 and then try to cool them down.

The new EV model from Nissan is expected to provide a range of up to 375 miles on a single charge.
It will have dual 14.3-inch displays, flush door handles for better aerodynamics, and liquid-cooled lithium-ion batteries.
The batteries will be powered from Britain’s newest gigafactory, AESC, situated next to the Nissan plant in Sunderland.
This is where the vehicle’s hub for production will be as the company’s UK factory with a team of 6,000 people.
It comes after the new EV was engineered at their research and development centre in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.
Senior Vice President of manufacturing and supply chain management at Nissan Motor Manufacturing, Alan Johnson, said: “It’s with immense pride that we unveil the third-generation of our pioneering electric Leaf, 12 years after we brought EV and battery manufacturing the UK.
“It’s a testament to the skill of our world-class team that we can bring into mass production a vehicle with such advanced technology and aerodynamic design.”
Managing director of Nissan GB, James Taylor, said: “Leaf is a pioneering electric vehicle that has encouraged thousands to make the switch to electric motoring – and best of all, it’s built here in Britain.”
This new Leaf model is reported to be engineered and fine-tuned for the needs of European customers.
Nissan’s EV36Zero project hopes to bring three electrical vehicles at three gigafactories in their move towards becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
It includes a new fully electric Nissan Micra that was designed in London, which will go on sale later this year.
A smaller city car from will also be launched in 2026.
However, over the last year Nissan has reported significant losses and announced plans to close down production plants and cut thousands of jobs.
They confirmed last month that it will close almost half of its factories in the next two years.
On top of that, it’s workforce is expected to be reduced by a total of 20,000 employees between 2024 and 2027.
These changes will result in Nissan having only ten factories worldwide from 17.

FRASIER star Kelsey Grammer has revealed he’ll be a dad for the EIGHTH time, with his wife Kayte showing off a massive baby bump.
Actor Kelsey, 70, is set to welcome his fourth child with Kayte, 46, who was seen cradling her bump in a draped dress during a family outing in London on Tuesday.
GettyKelsey Grammer has revealed he’ll be a dad for the EIGHTH time[/caption]
In images obtained by the Daily Mail, he’s seen in high spirits as his film producer wife exhibited her growing stomach in a brown cardigan and black maxi skirt.
Although the couple have not made a formal announcement, a source confirmed the news and said the unexpected pregnancy has brought a new “spark” to their relationship.
They told the publication: “Kelsey is thrilled to finally have time to fully enjoy being a father all over again.
“He’s been incredibly supportive of Kayte throughout this pregnancy, which, though unexpected, has reignited a spark in their marriage that they both needed.
“This will be their fourth child together, and with Kelsey’s other three children from his past marriages, their new bundle of joy will have so much love.
“After giving Frasier one last go, he has hung his hat up on that character and is ready for the next phase of his life. He is looking forward to embracing the hands-on parenting he missed in the past.”
He and Kayte, who tied the knot in 2011, already share daughter Faith, 12, and sons Kelsey Gabriel, 10, and Auden “James” Ellis, eight.
The actor has four other children from previous relationships – Spencer, 41, with first wife Doreen Alderman, Greer, 33, with ex-girlfriend Barrie Buckner and Mason, 23, and Jude, 20, with RHOBH ex-wife Camille Grammer.
Kelsey, famed for playing Frasier Crane in the NBC hit, was 61 when his youngest son was born.
In May, the sitcom star told People that he regrets being too absorbed by work during his early years of fatherhood.
He said: “I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two. I’m trying to make up for a little of it now. I’m still their dad, so you can always have [a] chance to show up.”
Kelsey reflected on how his parenting style has evolved, and how he hopes his younger children will benefit from the lessons he’s learned.
He said: “I probably should have been a little more clear and maybe less tolerant with the older ones.
“I’m pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I’m clear about how there’s certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you’re going to be well-served in your life.
