Love Is Blind stars Sara Carton and Joey Leveille can’t escape dating rumors and fellow season 8 cast member Monica Danús, Joey’s ex-fiancée added fuel to the fire.
Sara and Joey met on the Netflix show and, despite getting engaged to other people, both left the show single. Dating rumors surfaced after the show’s reunion episode but the stars have conflicting reports about what’s going on. Let’s break it all down.
Are Love Is Blind’s Sara & Joey Dating?
Sara and Joey have reportedly been secretly dating since February. Dating rumors first surfaced in a March 11 episode of the Reality Receipts podcast giving the inside scoop on the Love Is Blind reunion. “They’re waiting for everything to die down to announce it,” the show’s host, Rikkii, said.
“Apparently [Joey and Sara] were spotted in a hair salon together, and then people very close to the situation have confirmed that they are dating,” Rikkii added. The podcast said that she wouldn’t be “surprised if they tried to come out and say, ‘No, we’re just friends,’ then six months from now, saying it evolved into a relationship.”

Sara Denied Rumors She’s Dating Joey
Sara, who was engaged to Ben Mezzenga on the show, addressed the rumors during a March 13 episode of The Viall Files podcast. “I’ve seen this a few times online in the past 24 hours,” she said. “Well, to be clear, me and Joey are not dating.”
She did reveal that, after they both ended their engagements in the show’s finale episode, Joey visited her in Nashville where she was working. “I feel like me and Joey did establish a really great friendship,” she added.
“This whole situation, I’ve felt very close with Joey,” Sara added on The Viall Files. “I’m fond of our relationship, but I feel very well supported by all those involved. I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him, but, yeah, we definitely have a friendship.” Though Sara said that she and Joey are “definitely not dating” right now, she added, “I don’t know what the future will hold.”
However, Joey’s ex has a different story and she wants the truth out there!
Monica Claims Sara & Joey Are Dating
In an interview with Elite Daily published on March 18, Monica claimed that Sara admitted to her that she’s dating Joey and she was disappointed to see her deny it publicly.
“I’m so sick of the lies. Just own up to it at this point,” Monica said claiming Sara told her about the budding romance in late February after filming the Love Is Blind reunion. “I texted Sara, ‘I’m hearing a lot of things about you and Joey. Is there anything you need to tell me?’ And she called me and said, ‘Nothing’s official, but we are seeing each other.’”
As for the timeline of the romance, Monica said, “She told me this started a month ago, so that’s at least two months ago now. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was longer.”
Monica, who ended her relationship with Joey while filming the show’s season finale back in March 2024, added that the relationship is “a betrayal, and it’s very hurtful.”
“It’s no surprise from Joey — I don’t think very highly of him, and I don’t want him in my life. But I’m hurt that Sara would do this to me,” she said.
Sara’s ex, Ben, also addressed the rumors on March 12, saying, “I’m not confirming anything but them being together isn’t necessarily a surprise.”
