BRITS can finally access the UK’s biggest broadcaster live from their Fire TV Sticks.
And it rivals popular paid services from Sky and Virgin, as well as Freeview‘s successor Freely.

BBC has been missing from Fire TV’s live tab[/caption]
Freely brings live TV to homes via Wi-Fi but it’s only available with new tellies which have it built into them.
The only products that allow you access live channels via Wi-Fi with a plug-in box for your existing TV are paid for.
These include Sky Stream and Virgin Flex.
Fire TV devices have a “live” tab that allows viewers to access free channels.
But for years it’s been missing a major broadcaster – the BBC.
Since a fresh update, Fire TV users can finally find all the main channels available.
All ten of the BBC’s channels have now been added, according to Cordbusters.
This includes the following below.
- BBC One
- BBC Two
- BBC Three
- BBC Four
- CBBC
- CBeebies
- BBC News
- BBC Scotland
- BBC Alba
Fire Sticks have long offered access to the BBC iPlayer app but this latest update provides users with a more complete live TV offering.
However, it still lacks the number of channels Freely, Sky and Virgin have beyond the public service broadcasters.
Users can now see what’s on all the main UK channels so they can plan what to watch easier than ever.
A preview thumbnail of what’s currently showing on the channel is also there, alongside programme descriptions.
Users can also set channel favourites.
Sadly, there’s no way to look back on shows that have already aired.
