Alison, 50, recently became emotional as she admitted sacrificing time with her son for her career.

The popular star shares her only child with her former partner, Noureddine Boufaied.

Yet Alison – who made her debut on Channel 4 show on Friday night alongside her offspring – was the subject of discussion during a recent podcast.

It came after her sister also featured on the series.

Aidan opened up on their connection, as well as his close bond with his late grandmother who lived nearby.

And he told the Spin Justice podcast how he temporarily sought solace at his mother’s parent’s home when things got stressful in their home.

In a light-hearted comment he said: “When we were in the flat, she [his maternal grandmother] had a house pretty much opposite us, so we could literally leave and run across the road.

“So when my mum was doing my head in, I’d just go to my nan’s.”

He told how the trio were “very close” before she passed away from lung and liver cancer in January 2020.

Talking of grandparent Maria he said: “She’s passed away now, but we were very close all the time – me, my mum and my nan – and that was kind of the little trio.”
