Alexandra Daddario’s rarely-seen son just made the sweetest appearance, and fans instantly noticed something: he’s a blonde!
On March 18, Daddario shared an adorable, unfiltered photo of her and her son with two birthday cakes. She shared the birthday photo to her Instagram with the caption reading, “I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world!!!!what a little funny cutie little clam man happy as a clam with a plan!! And his plan is to be so funny every day!!!”
In the photo, we see a gorgeous, bare-faced Daddario holding her son in her arms, smiling from ear to ear. Along with being the cutest mother-son duo, we see something else: her son is a blonde!
For those wondering, “Why is he blonde? Both of his parents are brunettes!” While it could be a recessive gene, this is actually a common phenomenon. Per Color Wow Hair, a child can be born with blonde hair to develop brown hair as they age. Blonde hair has less melanin, particularly eumelanin, compared to darker hair colors, and someone’s genetics can up melanin production as they age to get darker hair.
So, while her son is a blondie now, he may get brown hair down the line!
For those who don’t know, Daddario and Andrew Form started dating in 2020 during a chance encounter during the COVID-19 pandemic. By June 2022, they were married and then she became the stepmother to Form’s two sons (whom he welcomed with ex-wife Jordana Brewster): Julian, born in 2013, and Rowan, born in 2016.
On July 10, 2024, Daddario announced that she and Form were expecting a child together, a rainbow baby!
“I’m pregnant and it’s all successful and everything’s healthy,” Daddario said in an interview with Vogue. “I had been pregnant. Then I had a loss. It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific. Those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain unless you’ve been through them.”
Then on Oct 31, she announced they had welcomed their child together. She shared the news to Instagram, saying, “I thought this was a weird bowl of candy.”
In a previous interview with People back in Feb 2025, she made rare comments about her son.
“Fashion Week is a breeze compared to a hungry little baby,” she joked. “I’m very lucky. He’s a great baby. He’s just brought so much joy and peace in my life, so I recommend it to anyone who wants a kid.”
