Known as the hunky muscular guy who turned out to be a better Jack Reacher than Tom Cruise, Alan Ritchson’s fame skyrocketed when he portrayed the lead role in the show Reacher.

Well, it seems that the actor might just take on another world-famous character after the fame that he has been receiving for his portrayal. This time, Alan Ritchson could very well take on the role… of Batman!
Alan Ritchson’s co-star wants to see him as Batman
A muscular 6ft guy should be enough criteria to don the cape and outfit of Batman and Alan Ritchson does fill that criteria. Although we already have Robert Pattinson, there’s no harm in having another Batman, right?

Roberto Montesinos is known for portraying the role of Guillermo Villanueva across seven episodes of the 3rd season of the show. He is also the co-star of Alan Ritchson, who has some very high regards for the actor.
In an interview with ScreenRant, he talked about how Ritchson would make for the perfect Batman to exist in the DCU (hopefully). Although it’s not confirmed, fans are quite excited about it.
What would he bring to that role? First of all, his work ethic, his research, his command of a character.
He further continued,
So, he would kill Batman. Batman’s the same kind of thing. He’s very stoic; he’s got a mask. I think he would be the best Batman we’ve ever had. We’ve had some good ones, but I think he would be the best Batman we’ve ever had.
His statements were based on the amazing performance that Ritchson gave during Reacher. Although Tom Cruise had tried to make the role work, his portrayal wasn’t as good as Ritchson’s, majorly due to the physical difference between Cruise and the character.
So what was the difference between the two actors that made the world fall in love with Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher despite a stellar performance by Tom Cruise as well? According to Roberto Montesinos, it was all in the eyes.
What made Alan Ritchson stand out as Jack Reacher?
Based on the books of British author Lee Child, the Jack Reacher novels have a fan-following in the millions and Reacher is an adaptation of his books.

Although Tom Cruise tried to make it into films, his Jack Reacher franchise didn’t take off really well. It was later when Alan Ritchson took on the role that people noticed the brilliance of the character.
According to his co-star Roberto Montesinos during the interview, he seemed to allege that Ritchson was able to deliver top-notch facial expressions and that he didn’t need to talk much to convey his emotions!
For example, in Lee Child’s books, when you’re reading the book? Reacher walks into a room, and there are three pages of thought; everything that he’s clocking.
He further continued,
How do you do that without those words? He does it with his face, with his eyes. And he said to me once, ‘Every movement of your eye indicates to the audience a new thought.’
It would be amazing to see Alan Ritchson don the cape of Batman in James Gunn’s DCU, but nothing can be said for certain at the moment.
What we do know for sure is that Reacher currently stands at a rating of 8/10 on IMDb and a whopping 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. The iconic show is available to stream on Prime Video.
