A few weeks ago, Arrowhead Game Studios rolled out the Servants of Freedom Premium Warbond in Helldivers 2. Without a doubt, this is one of the best Warbonds in the game, primarily because of the unique weapons it features. On the third page of this Warbond, players can unlock the G-50 Seeker Grenade, and as the name suggests, the grenade seeks enemies and explodes on impact.

It’s safe to say that players love this new grenade, but it seems like the community wants more. A player suggested that Arrowhead could create a Spider Mine Stratagem, a mine that seeks out enemies just like the grenade. This could give some gamers a major deja vu as a weapon like this was a part of Epic Games’ 1999 video game, Unreal Tournament.
Helldivers 2 players want a spider mine that seeks enemies
A Helldivers 2 player on the r/Helldivers subreddit proposed the idea of adding a “Spider Mine” Stratagem to the game. The player explained that this Spider Mine, like the G-50 Seeker Grenade, rushes enemies that get within 20 meters. Unlike the regular mines, this concept mine would also have a larger spread. Mines are among the least popular Stratagems in Helldivers 2, so this variation of the regular mines would certainly encourage players to try them out.
After hearing this idea, a player reminded gamers of an iconic weapon that deployed explodable spiders. The Mine Layer was a spidermine deploying weapon that was featured in Epic Games’ Unreal Tournament. It’s almost impossible to play the game today, so Arrowhead Game Studios could use this opportunity to introduce a similar weapon in Helldivers 2 just to make things nostalgic.

Another popular video game has something like this Spider Mine concept. As Peni Parker in Marvel Rivals, players can use the Bionic Spider-Nest ability to deploy a Bionic Spider-Nest that periodically releases Spider-Drones that seek enemies.
Servants of Freedom Warbond features some overpowered weapons

Apart from G-50 Seeker, the Servants of Freedom Warbond features two weapons: GP-31 Ultimatum and LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle. These weapons are so powerful that the community believes that it has made the game too easy.
The GP-31 Ultimatum is a pistol loaded with a single explosive round that is capable of inflicting 4,500 damage in a single shot. The LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle is a new variation of the LAS-16 Sickle without overheating protections, so it allows players to inflict more damage, but it can damage the players as well. A simple way to solve this problem is by equipping a fire-resistant armor. The Warbond also features a new Stratagem called Portable Hellbomb, which is a Hellbomb but in a backpack form.
