Position Overview
The Clinic Receptionist will be responsible for assisting patients in person and over the phone, coordinating appointments and documentation, and supporting the smooth functioning of the clinic.
Minimum Requirements
- Essential: Grade 12 / Matric
- Advantageous: N/A
Duties and Responsibilities
- Register patients and assist with completing medical forms and insurance documentation
- Maintain clinical equipment, stationery, and medication inventory
- Open and manage patient files
- Inform patients about clinic procedures and manage medical aid processing
- Handle switchboard and incoming calls using professional etiquette
- Ensure accurate and timely message taking and call transferring
- Assist walk-in clients, manage appointment flow, and maintain a clean reception area
- Respond to emergencies and support patients with medical aid authorizations
- Follow up with patients and provide excellent customer service
Competencies Required
- Ability to work under pressure
- Deadline-driven
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Conditions of Employment
