MAJOR delays have hit drivers this morning across Dublin as a major busy motorway is facing huge congestion.
As well as debris on the road, one Dublin motorway is also seeing congestion followed by a number of collisions.

The first collision occurred shortly after 6:31am this morning on the M7 which affected the hard shoulder and lane 3.
The collision happened between Junction 7 Kill and Junction 6 Castlewarden.
The incident has now been cleared.
And traffic bosses took to X to issue a congestion report warning drivers that “some delays may occur.”
They added: “Delays on M50 Southbound between J06 – J07.
“Routes Exiting Dublin experiencing delays: N3 S, M4 E.
“No delays on N40 currently. Safety is in your hands!”
On the M4/N4 eastbound between Junction 4 Newcastle and Junction 3 Lucan, debris on the road have also impacted drivers this morning.
Elsewhere in Dublin, drivers on the busy M50 are facing significant delays across the city.
On the southbound road, there is reported congestion between Junction 4 Ballymun and Junction 6 M50/N3 Dublin.
There is also a congestion between Junction 5 M50/N2 and Junction 7 M50/N4 Dublin, Junction 9 (N7) Red Cow and Junction 6 M50/N3 Dublin.
On the northbound route, there is congestion building between Junction 9 (N7) Red Cow and Junction 6 M50/N3, as well as between Junction 9 (N7) Red Cow and J7 M50/N4 Dublin.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland warned: “Some delays to your journey may occur.
“When approaching the congestion location, reduce your speed and drive with caution.”
COMMUTER CHAOS
For commuters, there is also disruptions among a number of public transport services.
There is a number of Bus Eireann routes cancelled today following service disruptions in the southeast and easer region of the country.
This will last only today and include:
- Route 103 06:50am Dublin to Ratoath – Cancelled
- Route 103 07:30am Dublin to Ratoath – Cancelled
- Route 103 08am Ratoath to Dublin – Cancelled
- Route 103 08:40am Ratoath to Dublin – Cancelled
- Route 105 07:45am Emerald Park to Parkway Station – Cancelled
- Route 115 07:50am Enfield to Dublin – Cancelled
- Route NX 06:50am Dublin to Navan – Cancelled
- Route NX 08am Navan to Dublin – Cancelled
And the route CW1/CW2 is operating at a reduced frequency until further notice.
In a statement on their website, they said: “Bus Eireann regret any inconvenience cause to our passengers.”
There are also service disruptions for the south region today due to roadworks taking place in Glanmire.
DIVERSIONS IN PLACE
Routes 31, 214 and 245 will be affected from Wednesday, June 25, to Sunday, August 17.
Route 214 outbound from CUH/Cork city will operate via Church Hill, Castlejayne Road, Barnavarna Hill to Riverstown Cross, as per normal route to terminus at Glyntown.
Bus Eireann said: “When wishing to travel to Cork City/CUH please note that inbound bus stops between the junction with East Cliffe and Hazelwood Road will not be served.
“Customers can board stops for travel to Cork City/CUH.
“Bus Eireann apologies for any inconvenience caused to our passengers.”
