RTE star Doireann Garrihy has shared a hysterical baby scan story which she branded her “first-ever parenting fail”.
The 2FM Drivetime host, 33, recently announced she was expecting her first baby with fiance Mark Mehigan.
Doireann has been keeping followers up to date on her experience with pregnancy – from cravings to food aversions.
On her first episode back to her hit podcast, Doireann & Friends, the host sat down with her sister Ailbhe, who is also expecting her third child.
The siblings were giddy as they discussed their journey to becoming mums.
Doireann then recalled a funny moment she experienced while getting a recent baby scan.
The Dancing With The Stars host explained: “The nurse said, ‘Okay this is the moochiest baby we have had in a while’, so she asked me to go for a walk, eat something and see if anything changes.
“She said, ‘Maybe have a coffee‘, but I was like, ‘Surely the coffee will get the baby dancing’.”
The mum-to-be then left the hospital and joked: “I had a firm talk with the bump, I was like, ‘Now you listen baby’.”
Ailbhe burst out laughing as her sister hilariously gestured to her bump and sternly pointed her finger.
Doireann then returned to the nurse to get her baby scan and left the lady in stitches.
The funny woman said: “So I went in and I was like, ‘Sorry if we can’t get this done now it will be my first parenting fail.’”
The TV star made a hysterical face as she impersonated the nurse who found her comment hilarious.
Ailbhe was in fits of laughter as Doireann continued to take off the nurse’s laugh.
The host revealed that her scan was a success as she added: “But the baby stopped moving and we could hear the heart and see the brain.”

Earlier this month, Ailbhe announced that she and her husband Ruaidhri Hehir were also pregnant with their third child.
Ailbhe took to Instagram to reveal the very exciting news.
She shared a black and white photo of her little ones holding up a book with ‘there’s a house inside my mummy’ written on the front.
The 35-year-old captioned her post: “Some light bedtime reading.
Feeling so blessed to be expecting baby number three later this year.”
Ailbhe’s family, friends and fans all flooded the comment section with love and support.
Doireann, who’s clearly overjoyed by the news, commented: “The best year ever awaits.”
While the eldest Garrihy sister, Aoibhin, wrote: “Another angel to love with all our hearts.”
