IRISH road users are being warned of several delays this morning due to a number of serious incidents across the country.
It comes on top of regular morning traffic on busy stretches across the country.
Motorists have be warned of a vehicle on fire on M1 headed Northbound.
The blaze this morning sitting between J08 Dunleek and J09 Drogheda.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland warned drivers the would face unavoidable delays due to the inferno.
They said: “Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different start time or route.
“When approaching the hazard area drive with caution and reduce your speed.”
A multi-vehicle collision has also caused delays on Irish roads this Tuesday morning.
The smash occurred on the M11/N11 headed northbound between J10 Delgany and J09 Glen of the Downs near Greystones-Delgany.
Road bosses once again warned delays were guaranteed to occur and to leave earlier or avoid the area if possible.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland also added: “Obey instructions from emergency services.”
Two collisions on the M50 this morning have also caused delays.
The first occurred on the J13 Dundrum Slip M50 to R113 headed southbound.
And in the last few minutes a second smash has occurred on the busy stretch.
Road users are being warned of the collision on the M50 between J12 Firhouse and J13 Dundrum.
The crash is sitting Southbound in the Central Median Lane.
Elsewhere on the roads congestion has looped around the capital city on the M50.
Northbound delays are sitting between J16 Cherrywood and J14 Dun Laoghaire, J12 Firhouse and J09 Red Cow and between J09 Red Cow and J06 M50.
And southbound delays have built up between J12 Firhouse and J13 Dundrum, J10 Ballymount and J13 Dundrum, J5 M50/N2 and J7 M50/N4 and between J4 Ballymun and J6 M50/N3.
‘DRIVE WITH CAUTION’
And in their latest alert Transport Infrasturture Ireland warn: “Some delays to your journey may occur.
“When approaching the congestion location, reduce your speed and drive with caution.”
An obstruction in the Dublin Tunnel has been cleared this morning allowing for the normal flow of traffic to resume.
Drivers in the tunnel were impacted when another road user suffered a flat tyre.
TII traffic warned: “Flat Tyre / Blow Out on Dublin Tunnel Lane 1 Northbound.”
