Bergrivier Municipality invites all unemployed residents within its municipal area to register for inclusion in its new Temporary Worker and EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) Databases. These databases will be used from 1 July 2025 to fill temporary work opportunities across the municipality.
Registration Closing Date: 1 July 2025
Location: Bergrivier Municipality (Piketberg, Porterville, Velddrif, Aurora, Eendekuil, Redelinghuys, Goedverwacht, Wittewater)
About the New Databases
From 1 July 2025, the current unemployment database will no longer be used. Two new databases will replace it:
- Temporary Worker Database
- EPWP Temporary Worker Database
These will serve as the official source of temporary employment appointments within Bergrivier Municipality.
Who Can Register?
Anyone who is:
- Unemployed
- Living within the Bergrivier Municipal Area
Priority will be given to:
- People from indigent households
- Women
- Persons with disabilities
Documents Required for Registration
Applicants must submit:
- A completed prescribed application form (available at municipal offices and libraries, or download at www.bergmun.org.za)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Certified copy of South African Identity Document
- Certified copy of Driver’s License / PRDP (if applicable)
- Certified copies of relevant qualifications

Applications must be submitted by hand at local municipal offices or libraries in:
- Piketberg
- Porterville
- Velddrif
- Eendekuil
- Aurora
- Redelinghuys
- Goedverwacht
- Wittewater
