The product comes in a pack of four and weighs roughly 200 grams.

With barbecue season officially here, the product is likely to be in high demand.

But the FSAI has warned that the item could contain undeclared sesame seeds. which may make the affected batches “unsafe”.

Some consumers might be allergic to the seed and could experience health issues as a result of eating them.

As such, the product has now been labelled with an allergen warning.

And customers have been told that if they do have an allergy to the buns they should not eat them.

The best before date on the affected batches are July 1 2025, July 5 2025, and July 16 2025.

The FSAI said: “The below batches of Aldi Specially Selected Sliced Burger Buns contain sesame seeds which are not declared in the list of ingredients.

“This may make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of sesame seeds, and therefore, these consumers should not eat the implicated batches.”

Meanwhile, a popular kitchen item was recently recalled due to fire risks.

The Range & Wilko have recalled the the Haden 11L Stackable Air Fryer.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission issued the recalls after finding out that the item has a burn risk.

This is because if the product is used on the highest heat setting for too long, it could melt the outer plastic.

DISCONTINUE USE

This presents a potential fire hazard and if touched, could result in burns.

The brand is Haden. The SKU is 387933.

All batch numbers are affected.

It’s believed that there are 52 of the affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Consumers who previously bought the air fryer have been urged to discontinue use of it immediately.

They can return it to any The Range store for a full refund or store credit.

The spokesperson for The Range said: “The safety and satisfaction of our customers is important to us, and we wish to thank you for your cooperation and apologise for any inconvenience.”
