Eligible Grade: Current Grade 6 learners (Class of 2025)
The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is offering an incredible opportunity for Grade 6 learners in 2025 to apply for the High School Scholarship Programme, with placement starting in 2027. The scholarship is more than financial support—it offers learners access to an entrepreneurial development programme that nurtures future business leaders and changemakers.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be completing Grade 6 in 2025
- Be South African citizens (at least one parent must also be South African)
- Show interest in becoming an entrepreneur or business owner
- Obtain a minimum overall average of 70% for all subjects in Grades 5 and 6
- Achieve at least 70% in Maths and English in Grades 5 and 6
- Be 11 years or older and not older than 12 years in Grade 6 (Born in 2013 or 2014)
- Demonstrate financial need (household income not exceeding R20 000/month, including business income)
- Have an active cellphone number for application updates
- Submit certified copies of all required documents
Selection Process Timeline
- Application form submission: June – 15 September 2025
- Assessments: December 2025
- Interviews: February – March 2026
