HOLIDAYMAKERS have been warned against travelling to a popular Greek holiday island as a wildfire continues to rage across the area.
The fire, which erupted below the Pangia Voitheia Monastery in Chios, Greece on Sunday, has continued to burn and spread due to powerful winds.
Over 100 firefighters are working to put out the blaze, while 11 helicopters are working to coordinate the response.
Multiple evacuation orders have been issued throughout the day. with residents in Karyes urged to evacuate toward the main town of Chios.
