EVERTON fans are fearing travel chaos for the club’s first game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees have been drawn against Brighton for their first home game of the 2025/26 season, which will be their first away from Goodison Park.

That game is due to be played on the weekend of August 23 and 24.
However, this means it is set to clash with another major event taking place in Liverpool that weekend.
The event in question is International Beatles Week, which runs from August 20th to 26th.
As many as 70 bands from more than 20 countries will be playing at the festival for fans from as many as 40 different nations.
The famous Cavern Club alone is estimated to bring in around 10,000 visitors, while there will also be major concerts at The Pier Head, which is around a 30-minute walk to the stadium.
August 23 also sees WWE hit Liverpool‘s M&S Bank Arena as part of its Road to Clash in Paris series.
It is the first time the city will be hosting an event from the wrestling body since 2011, with the likes of Jey Uso, Seth Rollins and Charlotte Flair all billed to appear.
Liverpool’s Premier League title parade caused travel chaos in the city, including the temporary closure of Lime Street Station as it struggled to cope with fans getting home.

Some reportedly waited for more than three hours at the station with no communication from staff.
Speaking about the clash of events on social media, one user said: “Should be fun.”
A second said: “What could possibly go wrong.”
A third added: “Going to be bedlam if transport links aren’t up to scratch.”
Another said: “That’s going to be an absolute s*** show.”
On the same day as the parade, there were sickening scenes as a car ploughed into a section of the celebrating crowd, leaving 79 people injured.
Everton‘s first game of the season is away to newly-promoted Leeds on a Monday evening kick-off.
