TWO bars have mysteriously vanished from the high street leaving customers sad and confused.
Sommar Brewery and Taproom first launched by the Sommar Brewing Company in 2019 has announced the closure of both of its bars in Birmingham city centre.

The closures were unexpected by punters who were only informed when notices appeared on windows and the doors were locked (stock)[/caption]
The bars and event spaces serving locally-brewed craft beer and burgers were located by Utilita Arena and near Victoria Square.
But patrons have been left disappointed after being met with closure notices posted in the windows of the two locations.
Both spaces have been shuttered after landlords serviced notice and seized control of the contents.
The forfeiture notices were served in January after “the tenant’s failure to pay rents,” they stated.
The letter added that “any attempt by the tenant or any third party to occupy or gain entry to this property will be treated as a criminal act and the offenders will be prosecuted accordingly”.
Sommar’s bars equipped with a taproom and cocktail lounge were hugely popular in the local area thanks to the wide range of beers and ciders as well as regular live entertainment.
The contents of both bars will be sold off or binned if not claimed, a separate notice stated.
This includes all furniture, fixtures, drinks, and beer pumps.
Both bars are listed as “closed long term” and the Sommar website is no longer available.
The closures come after it’s site in Solihull was shuttered and its Harbourne venue is listed as “permanently closed” on Google.
Only last month, the Sommar bar near the arena was dubbed “the go to place” for before a gig.
On Instagram, @booze_house_tales said: “@sommarbrewtap is perfect if you want to give your beer palate a good once over, they’ve 20 draught taps on which is insane.
“Also with it being so close to the Utilita Arena it’s got to be the go to place before going to a gig.“
Disappointed punters have shared their sadness about the abrupt closure on online forums.
